First, I wish to thank you for your witness to the truth against the abomination of what has been called "same-sex marriage" something which is simply not possible. May you find strength and consolation in Our Lord Jesus Christ. May you cherish the few minutes you had with the Vicar of Christ. May it be a continuing grace for you.
Second, I wish to apologise to you for the uncharitable Catholics who are not acting as Christ or even in modelling Pope Francis in his meeting with you.
It is my understanding that you did not seek out this meeting, but in fact, it was Pope Francis himself. This is based on the information given to us by Dr. Robert Moynihan who contacted your lawyers on behalf of the Vatican to arrange a meeting at the Nunciature in Washington.
Rather than rejoice in what Pope Francis did, to greet you in Christ, to build you up and encourage you, many media savvy Catholics have insulted you on Facebook, Twitter and blogs and in cable and main-stream media. Many question the Pope's actions, doubt them, think he was duped and more. They drag your name through the mud and some of these are priests.
Father CNN, also known as Father Edward Beck whose hair and teeth are the same colour and offset by his beautiful tan writes. Salt + Light, Canada's Catholic Channel of No Hope wonders what it means. Various priests of the Society of something other than Jesus make excuses. The secular media who hate all things Catholic tell the Pope what to do.
Now, Federico Lombardi, S.J., who has no doubt received pressure from the embedded homosexuals in the Catholic Church intent on destroying the family in the same manner as the sodomites worldwide, has tried to distance the Pope from what was no doubt, a beautiful meeting between the two of you. Father Thomas J. Rosica continues to Tweet that the visit should not mean that the Pope supports her position. Should one assume then that the Pope should support so-called, same-sex marriage?
Is it any wonder Evangelical Christians want nothing to with "the whore of Babylon? These malefactors are trying to turn the Bride of Christ into that "whore." This is not the Catholic Church that Our Lord Jesus Christ willed to be under Peter. They are building a false church, a church of man, a church that is rich and corrupt, a church that is a against Christ and His Truth.
The Vatican says that the visit is not an endorsement of your views on so-called "same-sex marriage." The Vatican has clearly been taken over by a bunch of sodomites. What this really shows is that Pope Francis is not his own man. It was Pope Francis the man who desired to meet with you, to console and encourage you; this we must assume. It is the evil, corrupted and manipulative and deceitful clerics surrounding him who, when he stepped out of this stage-managed papacy, have come out now to back-track on his goodwill and insult you in the process.
For this, as a Catholic, I am sorry that they have used you.
May the LORD confound these malefactors and may the same LORD comfort you.
Please do not let these haughty and arrogant Catholics bother you, but let it be another cross which you must bear that will lead you to the fullness of faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.
Thank you for your witness.

Vox! I'm so very sad to hear the Vatican is not standing by the Truth! Whose view on same-sex marriage are they endorsing? Day by day this papacy grows more bizarre.
We cannot rule out that this visit and the retraction of motive to uphold natural marriage was orchestrated by the Top Dog.
It's just horrible how Kim Davis has been treated, especially by fellow Christians. And especially since Christians are being attacked for harm and death. Which brings me to a question I have in light of the people who were killed in Oregon for being Christians.
I'm still a 'new' Catholic, having been confirmed in 2012, so I'm just realising how little I know about the faith. (I'm also realising how little I learned in my RCIA classes.)
Here's my question.
According to witnesses: “[He started] asking people one by one what their religion was. ‘Are you a Christian?’ he would ask them, and if you’re a Christian, stand up. And they would stand up and he said, ‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you are going to see God in just about one second.’ And then he shot and killed them,” Stacy Boylen, whose daughter was wounded at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore., told CNN.
Would it have been a sin to lie and say you weren't a Christian?
Dear Kitty,
You have become a Catholic by the Grace of God and in spite of the RCIA. I have a friend here in Toronto who read himself into the Church, a convert from communism. He went to RCIA because he had to, taught by the Sisters of St. Joseph and he told them off and called them heretics!
I am sorry that the Church is such a mess and I do hope and pray that you are not too scandalised by it but instead realise that your decision was correct because if the Church was not true, nobody would be attacking it.
Truly, is the Episcopal or Anglican Church slandered? The United Church of Canada, or in the U.S. of Christ? How about Lutherans or Presbyterians? No. Only Catholics and Evangelical Christians are mocked and insulted. Catholics because they have all the Truth and Evangelicals because they are trying to come to its fullness.
As for your question.
Our Blessed Lord Himself gives us the answer as recorded by St. Matthew the Apostle in Chapter 10:32,33. "Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven. But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven."
We cannot call them Martyrs in the sense that only the Church can declare them so. Further, there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church though we can debate about baptism of blood and baptism of desire.
We can know that God is full of mercy and boundless love. We have the words of Jesus himself that if we confess Him, He will stand for us before the Father. We commend their souls to His eternal love and mercy and can rest assured that Our Blessed Lord is not bound by His Sacraments which for us as Catholics, are the ordinary means of salvation.
So, it would seem to me that if we lied to save our life, without repentance for it later, yes, it would be a grave sin that objectively speaking, would send us to Hell.
But think of the grace that was given to these who confessed the Holy Name on their lip with their dying breath.
I'm shocked at what 'Rocia' (will not call him Father....ever....sorry) was quoted as saying on behalf of the Vatican on CNN. Lord have mercy on your Church.
It would have been cowardly and a lie if you were Christian and denied it. So yes, it would be a sin. It would need to be confessed. It would be a horrible burden to live with through life to have denied Christ. We would only hope that in this case God's mercy would exceed His justice. Those who died were Christian martyrs. Hope this helps. We should all ask ourselves if we are ready to die for Christ.
Thank you, Vox. I was pretty sure it would be a sin because it would be denying God. Which makes those who admitted they were Christians, knowing they'd be shot, all the more courageous.
While on the topic of sin... Can you direct me to a site where I can learn what I should be confessing? That's my biggest complaint about my RCIA, that I was confirmed with almost no knowledge of what constitutes a sin. I know the biggies; it's the 'lesser' things about which I'm clueless.
Thank you.
Hello Kitty,
The big ones are easy but there are many associated with The Ten Commandments that we don't think of.
Wow, I need to review these myself!

Thank you, Vox :)
Kim Davis should worry about her own sins, of which there are many.
Slocum Moe,
Who are you to judge?
Kim Davis is a sinner, just like me.
The difference is, we admit it.
"Various priests of the Society of something other than Jesus"
That was hilarious. I am going to start saying this, along with the synod against the family.
October 2, published as a CNN Exclusive:
“CNN Exclusive: Pope held private meeting with same-sex couple in U.S.”

All is well with the world. Balance achieved!
Sandpiper, A person who denies Christ with a gun to their head does not have the necessary freedom to commit a sin, let alone a mortal sin. You need to read your Catechism.
Vox Cantoris, Do you really think the qualification done by the Vatican regarding the meeting with Davis was done without the pope's knowledge and approval? You sound like Michael Voris, who blames the pope's advisors for all the misleading and heretical things he says and does.
Kitty, Sandpiper and others are dead wrong. For a person to commit a sin, they must have sufficient knowledge and freedom to be culpable. If you have a gun to your head, you do not have sufficient freedom to be culpable for denying Christ in that situation. Many here need to go back to Catechism class and not be so quick to judge.
Vox, You can't be serious thinking that the pope had no knowledge or approval of the qualification stated by the Vatican regarding the meeting with Davis. It was all the fault of his spokesman and advisors? How Michael Voris of you to say that.
Good grief Slick, chill a little.
Yes, I will check the catechism.
As for the rest, I wrote this before the latest revelations. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I found his visit with the prisoners wonderful, merciful, what a Pope should do. I was duped. I thought he did the same for Kim Davis and that the various priests Tweeting pressured Lombardi to do something. That is all I or you know, but; given everything since this morning, he may very well have known.
Michael Voris is a friend of mine. I have respect for his work and what he continues to do. I don't agree with him on everything any more than I would expect you to agree with everything I write.
Poor Kim Davis, she deserves our support, our prayers and our gratitude. have not read of any Catholics standing against sodomy as she did. How can we save souls when we are mocking, insulting and tearing others down. The remnant, is just that, a remnant of what was once such a majestic grand institution. We must reach out to those who have courage, wisdom, and faith-show them where God truly wants them to be; in the Ark of faith.
@tania green,
Well said and I fully agree with your conclusions.
Remember though that not everyone, in fact not the great majority, are in a such a highly visible position to give witness such as Kim Davis was and remains. I suspect that we will never know how very very many pray silently for Our Lord to put an end to this diabolical disorientation flooding the world.
My belief is that a daily rosary said for the intention of overthrowing the sodomites and for their conversion is an immensely powerful weapon in the hands of the Blessed Virgin. Trust in God and carry on confidently in the circumstances in which God has been pleased to situate us.
