Our Predecessors overtly and explicitly drew the attention of the world to the consequences of the dechristianization of human society. With reference to Communism, Our Venerable Predecessor, Pius IX, of holy memory, as early as 1846 pronounced a solemn condemnation, which he confirmed in the words of the Syllabus directed against "that infamous doctrine of so-called Communism which is absolutely contrary to the natural law itself, and if once adopted would utterly destroy the rights, property and possessions of all men, and even society itself."[1] Later on, another of Our predecessors, the immortal Leo XIII, in his Encyclical Quod Apostolici Muneris, defined Communism as "the fatal plague which insinuates itself into the very marrow of human society only to bring about its ruin."[2] With clear intuition, he pointed out that the atheistic movements existing among the masses of the Machine Age had their origin in that school of philosophy which for centuries had sought to divorce science from the life of the Faith and of the Church.

The Communism of today, more emphatically than similar movements in the past, conceals in itself a false messianic idea. Bergoglio's continued attack on Catholics and the liturgy

The bombastic pompous pontificating Bergoglio has laid another attack on faithful Catholics and the holy liturgy accusing those who follow the traditional rites to be doing the work of the "devil" and fostering division. He opines on Sacrosanctam Concilium which, if one reads it, is not the Novus Ordo liturgy. He is a liar. It stated that "Latin" is the language of the liturgy. "Gregorian chant has pride of place." That the people must be taught to "sing in Latin those parts of the Mass pertaining to them." It called for no major changes. He is a liar. He whines about his experiences with the communion fast and how many readings for the Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil liturgy.

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning and welcome!

Thank you, Father Abbot Primate, for your introduction. Italian has improved! That is fine. I greet the Father Rector, the Father Dean, the Professors, and all of you, dear students and former students of the Pontifical Liturgical Institute.

I am happy to receive you on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its foundation. It came as a response to the growing need of the People of God to live and participate more intensely in the liturgical life of the Church; a requirement that found illuminating verification in the Second Vatican Council with the Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium. By now, your institution's dedication to the study of the liturgy is well recognized. Experts trained in your halls promote the liturgical life of many dioceses, in very different cultural contexts.

Three dimensions clearly emerge from the conciliar drive for the renewal of liturgical life. The first is active and fruitful participation in the liturgy; the second is ecclesial communion animated by the celebration of the Eucharist and the sacraments of the Church; and the third is the impulse to the evangelizing mission starting from the liturgical life that involves all the baptized. The Pontifical Liturgical Institute is at the service of this triple need.

First of all, formation to live and promote active participation in the liturgical life. The in-depth and scientific study of the Liturgy must encourage you to favor, as the Council wished, this fundamental dimension of Christian life. The key here is to educate people to get into the spirit of the liturgy. And to know how to do it, it is necessary to be impregnated with this spirit. I would like to say that this should happen to Sant’Anselmo: to become imbued with the spirit of the liturgy, to feel its mystery, with ever new amazement. The liturgy is not possessed, no, it is not a profession: the liturgy is learned, the liturgy is celebrated. To arrive at this attitude of celebrating the liturgy. And one participates actively only to the extent that one enters this spirit of celebration. It is not a question of rites, it is the mystery of Christ, who once and for all revealed and fulfilled the sacred, the sacrifice and the priesthood. Worship in spirit and truth. All this, in your Institute, must be meditated upon, assimilated, I would say "breathed". At the school of the Scriptures, the Fathers, the Tradition, the Saints. Only in this way can participation be translated into a greater sense of the Church, which makes us live evangelically in every time and in every circumstance. And this attitude of celebrating also suffers temptations. On this I would like to underline the danger, the temptation of liturgical formalism: to go after forms, formalities rather than reality, as we see today in those movements that try to go back a little and deny the Second Vatican Council itself. Then the celebration is recitation, it is a thing without life, without joy.

Your dedication to liturgical study, on the part of both professors and students, also makes you grow in ecclesial communion. The liturgical life, in fact, opens us to the other, to the closest and most distant from the Church, in the common belonging to Christ. Giving glory to God in the liturgy finds its confirmation in love of neighbor, in the commitment to live as brothers in everyday situations, in the community in which I find myself, with its strengths and limitations. This is the path of true sanctification. Therefore, the formation of the People of God is a fundamental task for living a fully ecclesial liturgical life.

And the third aspect. Every liturgical celebration always ends with the mission. What we live and celebrate leads us to go out to meet others, to meet the world around us, to meet the joys and needs of many who perhaps live without knowing the gift of God. Genuine liturgical life, especially the Eucharist, pushes us always to charity, which is above all openness and attention to the other. This attitude always begins and is founded in prayer, especially in liturgical prayer. And this dimension also opens us to dialogue, to encounter, to the ecumenical spirit, to welcome.

I dwelt briefly on these three fundamental dimensions. I emphasize again that the liturgical life, and the study of it, must lead to greater ecclesial unity, not to division. When liturgical life is a bit of a banner of division, there is the smell of the devil in there, the deceiver. It is not possible to worship God and at the same time make the liturgy a battlefield for issues that are not essential, indeed, for outdated issues and to take a stand, starting with the liturgy, with ideologies that divide the Church. The Gospel and the Church's Tradition call us to be firmly united on the essential, and to share legitimate differences in the harmony of the Spirit. Therefore the Council wished to prepare abundantly the table of the Word of God and of the Eucharist, to make possible the presence of God in the midst of his People. Thus the Church, through liturgical prayer, prolongs the work of Christ in the midst of men and women of all times, and also in the midst of creation, dispensing the grace of his sacramental presence. The liturgy must be studied while remaining faithful to this mystery of the Church.

It is true that every reform creates resistance. I remember, I was a boy, when Pius XII began with the first liturgical reform, the first: you can drink water before communion, fast for an hour ... "But this is against the holiness of the Eucharist!" dress up. Then, the evening Mass: “But, why, the Mass is in the morning!”. Then, the reform of the Easter Triduum: "But how, the Lord must rise again on Saturday, now they send him back to Sunday, Saturday evening, Sunday does not ring the bells ... And where do the twelve prophecies go?". All these things scandalized closed minds. It also happens today. Indeed, these closed mindsets use liturgical schemes to defend their point of view. Using the liturgy: this is the drama we are experiencing in ecclesial groups that distance themselves from the Church, question the Council, the authority of the bishops ..., to preserve tradition. And the liturgy is used for this.

The challenges of our world and of the present moment are very strong. Today, as always, the Church needs to live by the liturgy. The Council Fathers did a great job to make it so. We must continue this task of forming the liturgy in order to be formed by the liturgy. The Holy Virgin Mary together with the Apostles prayed, broke the Bread and lived charity with everyone. Through their intercession, the liturgy of the Church makes this model of Christian life present today and always.

Bergoglio uses Epiphany homily to attack the faithful and the Latin Mass - misleads. lies and contadicts St. Paul!

In a blistering and nasty homily at the Mass for the Feast of the Epiphany, Bergoglio of Rome issued an attack on the traditional Latin Mass, faithful adherents and an outright lie about what scripture states.

"Have we been stuck all too long, nestled inside a conventional, external and formal religiosity that no longer warms our hearts and changes our lives?" Bergoglio said. Continuing, he asked, "Do our words and our liturgies ignite in people's hearts a desire to move towards God, or are they a 'dead language' that speaks only of itself and to itself?"

The Bishop of Rome whose ministry is one of "Personalism" rather than being Vicar of Christ contradicted St. Paul stating, “a suit of armour that encases us; instead, it is a fascinating journey, a constant and restless movement, ever in search of God.”

St. Paul, in his Letter to the Ephesians in the sixth chapter beginning at verse ten states: 

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our[b] struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armour of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. 15 As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. 16 With all of these,[c] take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Perhaps Bergoglio might wish to open his bible a little more and open his mouth a lot less.

Meanwhile, in the Diocese of St. Catharines in Ontario, a Solemn Latin Mass will be offered by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter in the very Cathedral of St. Catharine of Alexandria with the permission of Bishop Bergie.

As you gaze upon this abomination that took place in St. Peter's Basilica in October 2019, reflect for a moment on what has happened in the year and a half since. Think of the diabolical experimentation on bat viruses that leaked out from a laboratory in  Wuhan whether accidentally or intentionally. Think of the deaths of people, the suffering and the economic toll on hundreds of millions because of the actions

Contemplate for a moment how the Bishop of Rome, the alleged successor of Saint Peter, the alleged Vicar of Christ, presided in the garden as shown at the right where people bowed down in worship to pagan idols. Look at the backside of the Satanic priest in brown robes, a Franciscan, but not a son of St. Francis, more a son of Satan - for no priest of Jesus Christ truly called would ever bow down to a pagan idol and no Pope would ever tolerate it, let alone be present at it. 

Now consider this event, the actual enthronement by the Bishop of Rome on a symbol of the Pachamama idol on the High Altar of St. Peter's Basilica, an altar over the very tomb of Peter and dedicated only for the re-presentation of the Sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus Christ, not the worship of a demon, "For all the gods of the Gentiles are demons but the LORD made the heavens."

As the pagan brought this abomination up to the Altar of God, the Master of Ceremonies, a weak and cowardly man named Guido Marini, looked at the Bishop of Rome and took the idol and placed it where you see it above. If Marini had any courage he would have dropped it to smash into a thousand pieces. (As an aside, it even violates the General Instruction on the Roman Missal (GIRM 305) and the traditional liturgical rubrics, flowers are not to be placed "on" the mensa of the altar as distinct from a gradine.)

Did you know that since that Sunday in October 2019 the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has not been offered by the Bishop of Rome on that High Altar of God? Not one. 

A demon has taken over the Temple of God because of evil men. That demon is now in full flight.

On the demand of the new Archpriest of the Basilica or Bergoglio himself, the Secretary of State has issued a directive that "private" Masses (they were never private, people could attend), are no longer permitted at the many side altars in the Basilica. This effectively renders the offering of the Holy Mass according to the traditional Missal impossible. One chapel below, the Mass can be offered, but for how long. Concelebration is the norm. Regular and normative concelebration is wrong in every way. It is fewer Masses, fewer atonements to the Father by the Son through the Holy Spirit for our sins. Fundamentally, this is the elimination of the traditional Latin Mass in St. Peter's Basilica.

Theologians can debate the degree of evil and participation with it in the same way as they can debate how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. 

Let those theologians debate it with Jesus Christ, King of the Universe at their particular judgement. I will be held accountable for much including calling this man who at least denies being the Vicar of Christ, "an evil monster." I will take my purgatory for that, I will not take Hell for the vaccine. I will not have that baby beside Jesus at my judgement to accuse me of taking part of her body for this.

So, what happened?

We know that, on Friday, Pope Francis was still entertaining the idea of displaying the Pachamama "statues" at the closing Mass of the Synod.

And we know that, in the end, the Pachamama carvings were not displayed.

We know — or think we know — that some bishops were murmuring that they would boycott the Mass if the Pachamama images were present.

So we know that these bishops felt the Pachamama images were problematic to the point of being idolatrous, images associated in some way with a type of pagan worship which they wished not to associate with.

And we know, as a Vatican Press Office spokesperson told me, that it was decided in the end that the Pachamama images would be "kept in the Synod Hall," and not brought over into the Basilica to be present at the Mass.

And yet, this final offertory gift, this bowl containing soil and several plants, was not only brought up to Pope Francis, but it was placed on the altar.

Somehow that seemed odd to me.

Is it usual to place an offertory gift on the altar?

I had never seen it before, or so it seemed to me.

What was that bowl, that collection of plants? What did it signify?

Late on Sunday, I started to read about the rituals associated with Pachamama, the spirituality associated with Pachamama images — for the Pope had made clear that these images did represent Pachamama.

Some during the Synod said that Pachamama represents "Mother Earth," the source of all life, for indigenous Amazon culture.

At first glance, this seems innocent enough.

This earth is where we live, we come from the dust of the earth and return to it.

And we do burn and poison many things in nature, and clearly this is radically reckless, imprudent, arrogant, foolish and, yes, evil, for us to do.

It is not unlike going into someone's home and tearing up the place.

This is our home.

But is there something more in this "Mother Earth" veneration?

I found that a Spanish-born bishop in Brazil felt that the Pachamama rituals were un-Christian and in some way spiritually dangerous. (link)

To say that this statue represents the Virgin is a lie. She is not Our Lady of the Amazon because the only Lady of the Amazon is Mary of Nazareth. Let’s not create syncretistic mixtures... The invocation of the statues before which even some religious bowed at the Vatican... is an invocation of a mythical power, of Mother Earth, from which they ask blessings or make gestures of gratitude. These are scandalous demonic sacrileges, especially for the little ones who are not able to discern."

And he added: "Here in the Amazon region we know the meaning of macumba or condomblè, which are quite prevalent here.”

LifeSiteNews writes: "Widespread in northeastern Brazil, macumba and condomblè are afro-Brazilian cults that involve propitiation of various gods and goddesses, dances, incantations and sacrifices." (link)

And then I learned that Bishop Athanasius Schneider, whom I have known for several years and who was here in Rome earlier this month — allowing us a chance to greet each other — had on October 26 issued an "Open Letter" calling on all Catholics "to offer acts of reparation, protest and correction for the use of the Pachamama statues" which he called "a new golden calf.” (link)

Schneider writes: "The example of Christ is of the utmost importance for all people who desire 'the true God and eternal life'; as St. John the Apostle exhorts us: 'Little children, keep yourselves from idols' (1 Jn 5:20-21). In our day, this message has special importance, for syncretism and paganism are like poisons entering the veins of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Church. As a successor to the Apostles, entrusted with care for God’s flock, I cannot remain silent in the face of the blatant violation of God’s holy will and the disastrous consequences it will have upon individual souls, the Church as a whole, and indeed the entire human race. It is therefore with great love for the souls of my brothers and sisters that I write this message."

And he continues: "On October 4, 2019, on the eve of the Amazon Synod, a religious ceremony was held in the Vatican Gardens, in the presence of Pope Francis and of several bishops and cardinals, which was led partly by shamans and in which symbolic objects were used; namely, a wooden sculpture of an unclothed pregnant woman. These representations are known and belong to indigenous rituals of Amazonian tribes, and specifically to the worship of the so-called Mother Earth, the Pachamama. In the following days the wooden naked female figures were also venerated in St. Peter’s Basilica in front of the Tomb of St. Peter."

And he continues: "The second-century apologist Athenagoras said about the veneration of material elements by pagans: 'They deify the elements and their several parts, applying different names to them at different times. They say that Kronos is time, and Rhea the earth, and that she becomes pregnant by Kronos, and brings forth, whence she is regarded as the Mother of all. Missing to discover the greatness of God, and not being able to rise on high with their reason (for they have no affinity for the heavenly place), they pine away among the forms of matter, and rooted to the earth, deify the changes of the elements' (Apol. 22)."

So I recalled again that, as lovely as this world is, and as much as we must be good stewards of it, it is not our eternal home, for we look "for that which is above."

An offering to Pachamama

Then, after further searching, I learned that a bowl of soil with plants in it is often connected with ceremonial rituals involving Pachamana.

There is one among many websites that describes the ritual (link):

"If it is difficult for you to move to a natural space to offer to Mother Earth, do not worry, you can perform your own ritual at home:

"- Use a bottle or flower pot full of dirt, there you proceed to make a hole, it is recommended to do it with your hands to connect with the energy of the ritual.

"- A kind of well is made, and food and drinks are poured for the enjoyment of the Pachamama.

"- The food option is extensive, one can place anything from fruits to Creole foods and seeds. In the case of drinks, chicha, natural juices, honey, wine, even coca leaves are suggested.

"- Then we proceed to cover it with dirt and flowers.

"Every year more people join in and they learn to leave our daily work and reflect and realize who we are, where we are and have this gesture of recognition and thanks to Mother Earth, which we say is humanity, the earth, the air, the animals, the water, the fire, which is everything that makes our life."

Also: "You should never miss something red, it is the favorite color of the Pacha!

So it seemed that the bowl of flowers presented at the offertory of the final Synod Mass, and then placed on the altar during the consecration, may have been connected with a ritual of veneration, and thanks, to Mother Earth, known as Pachamana...

So the images were not in the basilica, but perhaps an offering to Pachamana, in a bowl, was...

Several questions

On Monday I prepared an email of questions for Monsignor Guido Marini, the Master of Ceremonies for the Vatican.

I wrote:

Dear Monsignor Marini,

I would like to ask for a clarification, please.

At the closing Mass for the Synod, a small green plant was brought to the Pope for the offertory, by the last person, a lay woman. The Holy Father received the offer and then gave it to you. The Holy Father indicated with a couple of words (as one gathers from the video of the Mass) to bring the plant to the corner of the altar and leave the plant there during the ceremony, during the consecration. You then placed the plant there, at the corner of the altar.

I wanted to ask:

1) Is it a usual thing to place offerings on the altar during Mass? Has it happened in the past, in St. Peter's or anywhere else? Can you tell when, on what occasions? (Because it seemed unusual to me; I don't remember other similar occasions.)

2) Can you explain why this plant remained on the altar, but not the other offerings?

3) Did you know beforehand that this plant should be placed on the altar? Was the idea previously agreed upon with the Holy Father?

4) Can you tell what this plant was, what kind of plant, what it represented? A type of fruit or food or ...?

5) Can we know what was written on the container of the plant, and if there were other signs, and what those signs mean?

6) Can you tell where this plant and the container are now? Have they been preserved?

And here is the reply I received yesterday:

Dear Sir,

In reference to your e-mail, we wish to inform you that there is no particular information about the plant; we only know that it was planted at the beginning of the Synod and delivered to the offertory to adorn the altar.

Wishing you every good in the Lord, we send cordial greetings.

Bergoglio has apostasised. Will bring found pagan idols into St. Peter's Basilica - says he struggles between "good and evil."

News out of Rome is that the statues of the pagan goddess which adorned the Church of Santa Maria in Transportina have been found by Rome Police. 

It is reported that Bergoglio has "apologised." Not to you and me and the Catholic faithful for the abominable acts of pagan worship, but for those who did their Christian duty and took the idols from the Temple and disposed of them. 

Bergoglio has also announced that they will be present in St. Peter's at Mass on this coming Sunday, the Feast of of Christ the King!

He dares to mock the King!

If you do not believe that the man is a malefactor and is perfectly possessed by the devil himself, then you are blind.

Bergoglio hates you. Worse, he hates Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The stench from this man's rotting corpse will not be contained in his grave. May it come soon.

Full transcript of Pope's remarks on 'Pachamama' statues

Good afternoon, I would like to say a word about the pachamama statues that were removed from the Church at Traspontina, which were there without idolatrous intentions and were thrown into the Tiber.

First of all, this happened in Rome and, as bishop of the diocese, I ask pardon of the people who were offended by this act.

Then, I can inform you that the statues which created so much media clamor were found in the Tiber. The statues are not damaged.

The Commander of the Carabinieri [Italian police] wished to inform us of the retrieval before the news becomes public. At the moment the news is confidential, and the statues are being kept in the office of the Commander of the Italian Carabinieri.

The leadership of the Carabinieri will be very happy to follow any indication given on the method of making the news public, and regarding the other initiatives desired in its regard, for example, the commander said, “the display of the statues at the closing Mass of the Synod.” We’ll see. 

I delegate the Secretary of State to respond to this.

AP. VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis asked forgiveness Friday from Amazonian bishops and tribal leaders after thieves stole indigenous statues from a Vatican-area church and tossed them into the Tiber River in a bold show of conservative opposition to history's first Latin American pope. 

Speaking "as the bishop of Rome," Francis insisted that the carved wooden statues of naked pregnant women had been placed in a Vatican-area church "without any intention of idolatry," undercutting conservative claims that they were symbols of pagan, idolatrous worship.

Francis' apology came as his three-week synod on the Amazon wraps up Saturday when more than 180 bishops and cardinals from nine Amazonian countries vote on a final document synthesizing proposals to better protect the Amazon rainforest and minister to its indigenous peoples.

The most controversial proposals include whether married men can be ordained priests to address the acute shortage of clergy in the Amazon region, where isolated communities can go months without having a proper Mass.

Also debated were whether women — who already carry out the lion's share of the church's work — could be ordained deacons in a new Amazonian rite that takes into account the unique spirituality of Amazonian faithful and their relationship with nature.

Several Amazonian bishops expressed support for both proposals, which would represent a dramatic shift from centuries of Catholic tradition. But Vatican cardinals who are also voting members of the synod expressed caution and insisted on the gift and value of a celibate priesthood.

While those theological debates raged in the synod hall, the more significant debate concerned the videotaped theft early Monday of the indigenous statues from the Santa Maria in Traspontina church, just down the block from St. Peter's Square.

The church has been the headquarters of parallel synod events featuring indigenous, environmental and Catholic groups from the region, and the statues were featured prominently in some of the indigenous services.

According to video of the theft that was widely circulated on conservative and traditionalist Catholic media, at least two men entered the church before dawn, took the statues from the altar of a side chapel and threw them from a bridge into the Tiber River.

The theft was celebrated by conservative and traditionalist Catholics who considered the statues pagan idols that had no business being placed at the altar of a Catholic Church, much less used in official Vatican ceremonies.

The statues had actually sparked outrage at the start of the synod, when one was featured at an indigenous tree-planting ceremony in the Vatican gardens attended by Francis.

Cardinal Gerhard Mueller, the conservative German sacked by Francis in 2017 as the Vatican's doctrine chief, said the "great mistake" was to bring the "idols" in the church in the first place. He cited the biblical First Commandment prohibiting idolatry or worshipping false gods.

"To throw it out can be against human law, but to bring the idols into the church was a grave sin, a crime against divine law," he told conservative U.S. Catholic broadcaster EWTN.

The Vatican has insisted the statues were symbols of life, fertility and Mother Earth, and denounced the theft as a hate-filled, "violent and intolerant gesture."

"In the name of tradition and doctrine, they contemptuously threw away a symbol of maternity and sacredness of life," the Vatican's editorial director Andrea Tornielli wrote in Vatican media.

He noted that one of most influential Catholic thinkers, St. John Henry Newman — who was canonized during the synod — once recalled that Christianity's most important symbols all had pagan origins.

The theft has dominated debate in Catholic media and Catholic Twittersphere, with conservatives cheering the destruction of what they consider symbols of pagan worship and progressives accusing the culprits and their supporters of racism.

"We do not use the term 'racists' lightly, but what else is it?" asked the National Catholic Reporter, a progressive Catholic magazine, in an editorial this week.

"Can you imagine the conservative outcry if someone tossed the image of Our Lady of Czestochowa into the Tiber?" it said, referring to the "Black Madonna" icon that was particularly dear to St. John Paul II, a hero to many conservatives.

Whatever the symbolic meaning of the statues, their theft and destruction underscored the increasingly bold lengths to which conservatives are going to voice opposition to Francis and his agenda focusing on the poor, migrants and the environment.

Already, some traditionalists have accused him of heresy for showing flexibility toward allowing divorced and civilly remarried Catholics to receive the sacraments.

Any decision to open up the priesthood to married men or to ordain women deacons will likely only fuel their anger and increase calls for a future pope who is more rooted in orthodox doctrine like John Paul and emeritus Pope Benedict XVI.

Francis is well aware of his conservative opponents — he recently quipped it was an "honor" to be attacked by his American critics.

Other critics are increasingly striking out against him from within the Vatican walls. As the synod was underway, a new scandal over the Vatican's shady finances exploded, sparking alarm among Francis' supporters that there was a concerted attack against him by the Italian "old guard" within the Holy See bureaucracy.

In his morning homily Friday, Francis reflected on his own inner struggle to want to do good but not be able to do it.

"It's a battle between good and evil," he said.
