Rosica blasphemes The Holy Family - Again!

Once again, Father Thomas J. Rosica of dying Congregation of St. Basil has blasphemed The Holy Family. The first was during the first Synod on the Family when he Tweeted the following:

An early start on reporting the filth of 2019.

Christoph Schönborn, Cardinal Archbishop of Vienna lays waste to St. Stephen's Cathedral in a ritual of blasphemy and sacrilege

Christoph Schönborn, Cardinal Archbishop of Vienna recently let St. Stephen's Cathedral for a "rock" music concert featuring a homosexualist Philipp Hochmair pictured above standing on the Communion Rail.

No cause can, not even the "sacred" rite of AIDS fundraising can justify this blasphemy and sacrilege.

What must the laity do to win back our faith and our churches from these rotten men, these wolves, these putrid, effeminate malefactors such as Christoph Schönborn? Are there any Catholics left in Vienna? Are you in Vienna all so corrupted that you cannot see the evil that Schönborn has done by this act? Yet, what can one expect when the Bishop or Rome allowed a light show to be flashed on St. Peter's Basilica on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception? The evil stench comes from Bergoglio to all these filthy monsters. Remember that the malefactor Schönborn, is a great theologian, just like Kasper and that Bergoglio said we should look to him for the correct interpretation of Amoris Laetitia.

This is just plain evil.

If nothing else, it is up to whatever few Catholics are left to publicize this and mock this filthy cleric Schönborn until he repents and does public reparation for this scandal.

Heresiarch "Bishop" of Osório D. Jaime Kohl" concelebrates" Mass with protestant women ministers

We are in the realm here of blasphemy, sacrilege and heresy of the most vile and serious kind in the once Catholic nation of Brazil.

From FratresInUnum blog.

https://fratresinunum.com/2018/02/21/duas-mulheres-concelebram-a-missa-com-bispos-da-cnbb-isto-ja-e-possivel-ou-continua-sendo-um-gravissimo-delito/

Two women "concelebrated" the Mass with bishops of the CNBB. Is this already possible or is it still a very serious crime?

By FratresInUnum.com , February 21, 2018: It was on February 13, 2018 that 41th Earth Pilgrimage took place in the city of Mampituba, Diocese of Osório, in Rio Grande do Sul.
As if the preaching of Mrs. Maria do Rosário (PT-RS) and Monge Marcelo Barros, both known for their unorthodox positions, the bishops present admitted at the altar two Protestant ministers as "concelebrants" in the Holy Mass.
At the moment of the Consecration, the two pastors extend their hands and utter the words of the institution of the Eucharist.
In the video , from the minute 50'20 '', the Consecration of the Mass is clearly heard and one sees the two women, wearing robes and stole, extending their hands and taking part in the "concelebrative" act.
The Holy Mass was presided by the Holy Mass. Diocesan Bishop of Osório, D. Jaime Kohl. Concelebrating the Exmos. Bishops:
  • D. Jacinto Bergmann (Archbishop of Pelotas)
  • D. Carlos Romulo (Bishop of Monte Negro)
  • D. Alessandro Ruffinoni (bishop of Caxias do Sul)
  • D. Adilson Busin (auxiliary bishop of Porto Alegre)
  • D. Aparecido Donizeti de Souza (auxiliary bishop of Porto Alegre)
  • José Mario Stroeher (bishop emeritus of Rio Grande)
So is the parson of the place and a deacon.
It is a very serious sacrilege. In addition to communicatio in sacris being strictly prohibited by canon law, the public simulation of sacrament by women constitutes a serious violation of the divine and ecclesiastical law, a true attack against the sacrament of the Order and the Holy Eucharist.
Immediately write to the Apostolic Nunciature of Brazil, to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and to the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. These bishops need to retract and, if they do not, they should be excommunicated immediately.

The "Mass" of Bergoglio

In the article one below on Cardinal Sarah and the posted story by Marco Tosatti, there are two paragraphs which deserve to be highlighted separately.

Another humiliation occurred when the pope eliminated most of the existing members from the Congregation for Divine Worship and replaced them with people who are more hostile to Sarah and his liturgical views. And there is the matter of the “Ecumenical Mass,” a liturgy designed to unite Catholics and Protestants around the Holy Table. Though never officially announced, a committee reporting directly to Pope Francis has been working on this liturgy for some time. Certainly this topic is within the jurisdiction of the Congregation for Divine Worship, but Cardinal Sarah has not officially been informed of the committee’s existence. According to good sources, Sarah’s secretary, Arthur Roche—who holds positions opposite to those of Benedict XVI and Sarah—is involved, as is Piero Marini, the right-hand man of Monsignor Bugnini, author of such noted works as La Chiesa in Iran and Novus Ordo Missae.
To those names, add the Undersecretary of Divine Worship, Corrado Maggioni, and a layman, the extremely “progressive” liturgist Andrea Grillo. Recently, Grillo harshly attacked Benedict XVI after the pope emeritus wrote in the preface to one of Sarah’s books that with Sarah, “the liturgy is in good hands.” And Grillo attacked Sarah himself, calling him “incompetent and inadequate.” If Grillo behaves so uncouthly, it must be because he is sure of being protected by friends in high places . .

Arthur Roche, Piero Marini - Bugnini is back from the grave.

Benedict XVI and John Paul II's work is all straw to these men.

Refuge is in the traditional Latin Mass.

But you have turned it into a tavern

How is this even possible?

Look, I get feeding the poor.

Where's the hall? How about a hotel meeting room?

What a disgrace.

If you go to this web page, you will see his various "encounters" and they all have links with video.

It seems that the communication manipulators needed to hide the evidence.

Too late.

Terrence Prendegast, S.J. Sells out the dignity of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame

Image may contain: sky, cloud and outdoor

Are we to believe that the same Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, S.J. of Ottawa who lead the "consecration" of Canada to the Immaculate Heart of Mary actually believes it?

Feel free to Tweet this article to him:

Which idiot told him that this was a good idea?

What possessed this man, or the Rector to permit this?

What kind of Bishop would permit this kind of abomination to be done to the Cathedral, and one named after Notre Dame?

What a filthy disgrace!

Look, Prendergast can offer a Pontfical Mass at the FSSP one morning and that night go with a wooden crozier to a Jamboree Mass. To these modernists, it's all worship.

People think Prendergast is one the good ones.

Bovine excrement!

UPDATE:

A friend has sent the Archdiocesan "communique." This abomination was in planning for over a year. Reports are that the Rector was opposed and the Bishop, Terrence Prendergast, S.J. gave personal approval.

Further, he Tweeted it out.

Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, you are a disgrace, a modernist scoundrel. At traitor to Our Lady. Another useless Bishop with no episcopal spine.

How worse will your soon to be successor be? May he be appointed by a real Pope!

About “La Machine” event on the grounds of Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica
The company that was invited to our city by Ottawa 2017 is based in Nantes, France. It produces live theatre events using large machines that receive wide acclaim. This is their first appearance in North America and it is happening here, in our nation’s capital.
Msgr. Daniel Berniquez, Rector of the Cathedral, was approached last year to see if he would allow the cathedral parking lot and parish hall to be used to set up for this special event to help celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday.
Because of the cathedral’s location downtown opposite the National Art Gallery, the organizers thought it offered an ideal staging area for the set up.
With the large spider sculpture across the street in front of the National Gallery (“Mama”) the “La Machine” organizers thought it would be interesting to pretend that the mechanical spider was approaching “Mama” from the grounds of the cathedral.
This once in a lifetime event celebrates the 150th Anniversary celebration of Canada’s Confederation. It offers an opportunity for the archdiocese, the Catholic community and Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica to cooperate with the city and the organizers to foster a positive relationship with the community at large as well as with many tourists, especially with young families. It is also an opportunity for a positive civic relationship by joining in the Capital’s celebrations of our 150th, Ottawa 2017.
May the Lord bless you with a restful and relaxing rest of the summer.

Irish Catholics who hate Our Lord Jesus Christ

The snakes have come back to Ireland.

O Jesus, my Saviour and Redeemer, Son of the Living God, behold, we kneel before thee and offer thee our reparation: we would like to make amends for all the blasphemies uttered against thy holy Name, for all the injuries done to thee in the Blessed Sacrament, for all the irreverence shown toward thine Immaculate Virgin Mother, for all the calumnies and slanders spoken against thy Spouse, the holy Catholic and Roman Church. Jesus, who hast said:”If you ask the Father anything in My Name, I will give it to you”, we pray and beseech thee for all our brethren who are in danger of sin; shield them from every temptation to fall away from the true faith; save those who are even now standing on the brink of the abyss; to all of them give light and knowledge of the truth, courage and strength for the conflict with evil, perseverance in faith and active charity. For this do we pray, most merciful Jesus, in thy Name, unto God the Father, with whom thou livest and reignest in the unity of the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

Roman Bishop Bergoglio is a blasphemer - God is "unjust, he sent his Son to a cross!"

Image result for bergoglio angry

In what has provoked in my gut the urge to vomit not unlike that which I felt that evening in March 2013 when Jorge Bergoglio emerged on the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, the Bishop of Rome has blasphemed God the Father; accusing Him of being "unjust" for sending "His Son to a Cross!"

In rambling statements filled with incoherent blather upon a visit with patients and staff to the Paul VI Audience Hall from Rome's Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital, Bergoglio not only blasphemed the Most Holy Trinity, but insulted doctors insinuating "corruption" stating in front of children dying of cancer that, "corruption is the worst form" of that terrible disease, thus not only insulting the doctors but ridiculing the children's own suffering.

La Stampa's Vatican Insider has the full report:

"The Pope responded to three more questions in his speech. Answering a question put to him by Valentina Vanzi, a nurse in multi-speciality paediatrics, who asked why children suffer, he said: “I have no answer to this question. Nor has Jesus given an answer to these words. There is no answer to this question, all we can do is look at the crucifix and let it give us the answer”. The Pope added: “is God unjust? He was unjust with his son, he sent him to the cross, if we follow this logic then we have to say this. But it is our human existence, our flesh, that suffers in that child and when one suffers, people do not speak, they weep and pray in silence.” Francis then focused on the precious role nurses play, telling a personal joke: “ When I was 21 I had very serious pneumonia and we didn’t know what it was, we thought it was the flu, then I had very high fever so I was taken to hospital and they drew a lot of fluid from my lung. The doctor prescribed one million units of penicillin and 500 thousand units of streptomycin and then left. But the nun who was a nurse, told the other nurse: make it three million and one million, because she had a good nose for what the situation was. You have a good nose for illness, I’m not criticising doctor’s, they are great eh? But because of their closeness to the patient, nurses have a special ability to accompany and heal, because of their closeness.”

How does one even start?

Could he, with his decades as a priest, not answer a simple question on why people suffer?

Is he that stupid? Is he that uneducated?

Perhaps, by looking at Holy Scripture, we can best rebuke this disgusting blasphemer on the matter of his commentary on God the Father.

St. Paul in Philippians chapter 2: 5-11 makes tells us:

For let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man.
He humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.
For which cause God also hath exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above all names:
10 That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth:
11 And that every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.

Our Lord Jesus Christ "humbled himself!" He "took on the form of a servant."

He. Took. It. On!

St. Paul tells us that, "every knee should bow!" He did not say, "every knee but Jorge Bergoglio's!" This man grovels on the floor to wash the feet of men and women and non-Christians in a liturgy reserved for washing the feet of his priests. He grovels for man, but he refuses to genuflect to the the Most Blessed Sacrament at the Mass!

Bergoglio is a scandal to the Faith! He defies St. Paul and the Holy Spirit while speaking of a "god of surprises," and whilst his minions tell us that every word emanating from his mouth and every expulsion of intestinal vapour smells of Frank-incense and is from the "spirit."

Holy John the Apostle and Evangelist tells us exactly what Our Blessed Lord said in his Gospel, 10: 11-13:

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

Our Lord is clear, "The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." The remainder about the "hirelings" are these disgusting Romans, these popes and prelates and the\ sycophantic effeminates that surround him. These filthy hirelings who desire sacrilege with the Blessed Sacrament to adulterers and soon, protestant heretics. This is what we face with these malefactors in Rome and our dioceses.

Let us turn now again to Saint John as he continues with Our Lord's words in verses 14-18.

14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

Bergoglio has directly contradicted Our Lord.

Jesus gave up His life. He, "laid it down" and then He "took it up again." The Father loved Him because of this! The Father did not sacrifice Him, Jesus sacrificed Himself, willingly, humbly. He was slaughtered as a lamb, the true Lamb of Sacrifice.

To call God the Father, "unjust," - He who is Justice, is blasphemy. It is a lie. It is an abomination. He is not infallible. he is spinning a web of confusion and error.

This is not the first time Bergoglio has used his opinions and fantasies to contradict Holy Scripture and Tradition.

On December 20, 2013, he spoke to Vatican Radio, where they report:

The Mother of Jesus was the perfect icon of silence. From the proclamation of her exceptional maternity at Calvary. The Pope said he thinks about “how many times she remained quiet and how many times she did not say that which she felt in order to guard the mystery of her relationship with her Son,” up until the most raw silence “at the foot of the cross”.
“The Gospel does not tell us anything: if she spoke a word or not… She was silent, but in her heart, how many things [she] told the Lord! ‘You, that day, this and the other that we read, you had told me that he would be great, you had told me that you would have given him the throne of David, his forefather, that he would have reigned forever and now I see him there!’ Our Lady was human! And perhaps she even had the desire to say: ‘Lies! I was deceived!’ John Paul II would say this, speaking about Our Lady in that moment. But she, with her silence, hid the mystery that she did not understand and with this silence allowed for this mystery to grow and blossom in hope.”

Who will confront this malefactor on the Chair of Peter over this blasphemy?

Where are the Cardinals and Bishops and Priests who will denounce this man?

Gospel Jihad - the new Bergoglian Blasphemy!

And then there is La Croix's official English translation of this Bergoglian blasphemy!
La Croix:  The fear of accepting migrants is partly based on a fear of Islam. In your view, is the fear that this religion sparks in Europe justified?
Pope Francis: Today, I don’t think that there is a fear of Islam as such but of ISIS and its war of conquest, which is partly drawn from Islam. It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam. However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.

Pope's trip to South America is a disaster in the making

The Pope's trip to South America is a disaster a disaster in the making. If some of these instances were not so outright scandalous they might be considered as sick jokes. These instances reveal deep problems with this papacy and the people in the Vatican in general and specifically with the men that surround the Pope. Charitably, we must assume they are idiots, but they are most likely must more than that. Manipulative, evil, destructive, Christ-hating monsters. Freemasons, communists and homosexuals have have no faith and no fear of the Lord.

I will make three points.

The Pope's homily requesting the people of Ecuador to "pray fervently for this intention, (the Synod) so that Christ can take even what might seem to us impure, scandalous or threatening, and turn it -- by making it part of his 'hour' -- into a miracle. Families today need this miracle!"

A comment that Fr. Federico Lombardi said the Bishop of Rome did not refer to anything specific.

Really Padre Lombardi?

Do you think we're stupid?

We have the socialist El Presidente with the bad haircut presenting the Pope with a Corpus of Our Lord on a communist hammer and sickle. We are told the Pope said, "this is not okay." Or he may have said "I did not know that" after it was explained to him. Did he say the first? The second? Both? It does not matter, The Pope should have handed this blasphemy right back to the tinpot dictator who has disgraced his country. What Vatican official would not have known the protocols that gifts to the "leaders" are discussed beforehand? El Presidente also put an "pectoral cross" of this blasphemy around the Pope's neck.

Lombardi assures us that the monstrosity will not end up in a Church.

Want to bet?

This is another beach ball moment if I ever saw one.

Yet, the worst of all?

The Most Blessed Sacrament distributed by laymen from paper bags.

Well, at least the bags were white.

Paper bag ciboria here, plastic cups at WYD in Brazil.

These people have no faith.

They are deceived or bloody evil.

Get right or get out!

UPDATE; The Lord's Day July 12.

Father Z is reporting that it seems that they were not actually "paper bags."

Whatever.

The Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ was spilt for all, even for those who mock him in derision

Today on July 1 in Canada we celebrate "Canada Day" or until Pierre Elliot Trudeau wiped away our cultural history, Dominion Day. We are still, the Dominion of Canada and our motto is from the 72nd Psalm, Ad mare usque ad mari-- "And he shall have dominion from sea unto sea." My readers in the United States will soon celebrate Independence Day. May it be a peaceful day, in spite of the threats from Islamo-fascists and yet, given the scandalous and destructive decision of the SCOTUS, it may not be peaceful. In ancient Israel the Lord often withdrew His protecting hand. Can either of our countries founded on the bedrock of Christianity, ours in Canada Catholic, at least initially, claim His protection now? We sanction sodomite "marriage" we kill our infants in the wombs of their mothers and we expect His help?

Liturgically speaking, in the Ordinary Form it is rather ordinary, as Wednesday of the Thirteenth Week in Ordinary Time. However, there is a Votive Mass of the Precious Blood in the Third Roman Missal which could be easily said today. Perhaps it should be, in reparation for what will come at the end of this post.

In the traditional calendar, today is the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which in the new was combined on Corpus Christi. If you look at your new rite Missal it will say Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ where as in the traditional it is simply the "Body of Christ" -- Corpus Christi. It was added to the calendar in 1849 by Pope Pius IX and was observed in Spain since the 16th century having been brought to Rome by St. Gaspar del Bufalo. Corpus Christi is from the 13th century and the whole Proper of the Mass and its sequence and the Office were assembled from scripture and composed by St.Thomas Aquinas. He gave us the texts of the hymns Pange Lingua, gives us the Tamtum ergo, Sacris solemniis gives us the beautiful compositions of Panis Angelicus, Verbum supernum prodiens is from where we sing O Salutaris Hostia and of course, Adore te Devote.

One of the seven deadly sins is pride from which all others flow. We know what it is used to celebrate. A few days ago, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in a city named after the great Apostle to the Gentiles, 2,000,000 people gathered in the streets. A man who had gone through the mutilation of a surgery and chemical cocktail to appear as a woman was displayed on a float "crucified" in a mockery of Our Lord Jesus Christ. That is not all. In other parades, Our Blessed Lord was also blasphemened in manners which I cannot write, nor can I post the pictures. You may find these links:

On this day in Dominion Day in Canada and on Independence Day in the United States, before our BBQ's, let us gather in our gardens and parks and together say these:

PRAYERS OF REPARATION FOR BLASPHEMY

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most mysterious and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in heaven on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar.
Imprimatur - T. J. Toolen, Archbishop of Mobile-Birm.

Praise to the Holy Name of Jesus
The Holy Name of our Saviour is taken in vain so often. When we hear someone use the Name above all names as a common swear word, we can cross ourselves and reverence the precious Name being defamed. Another commendable practice involves the devout, fervent recitation of the following prayer:

May the Holy Name of Jesus be infinitely blessed!
May the Holy Name of Jesus be infinitely blessed!
May the Holy Name of Jesus be infinitely blessed!
May the Holy Name of Jesus be infinitely blessed!
May the Holy Name of Jesus be infinitely blessed!

Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, animated with a desire to repair the outrages unceasingly offered to Thee, we prostrate before Thy throne of mercy, and in the name of all mankind, pledge our love and fidelity to Thee.
The more Thy mysteries are blasphemed, the more firmly we shall believe them, O Sacred Heart of Jesus!

The more impiety endeavors to extinguish our hope of immortality, the more we shall trust in Thy Heart, sole Hope of mankind!

The more hearts resist Thy Divine attractions, the more we shall love Thee, O infinitely amiable Heart of Jesus!

The more unbelief attacks Thy Divinity, the more humbly and profoundly we shall adore It, O Divine Heart of Jesus!

The more Thy holy laws are transgressed and ignored, the more we shall delight to observe them, O most holy Heart of Jesus!

The more Thy Sacraments are despised and abandoned, the more frequently we shall receive them with love and reverence, O most generous Heart of Jesus!

The more the imitation of Thy virtues is neglected and forgotten, the more we shall endeavor to practice them, O Heart, model of every virtue!

The more the devil labors to destroy souls, the more we shall be inflamed with desire to save them, O Heart of Jesus, zealous Lover of souls!

The more sin and impurity destroy the image of God in man, the more we shall try by purity of life to be a living temple of the Holy Spirit, O Heart of Jesus!

The more Thy Holy Church is despised, the more we shall endeavor to be her faithful children, O Sweet Heart of Jesus!

The more Thy Vicar on earth is persecuted, the more will we honor him as the infallible head of Thy Holy Church, show our fidelity and pray for him, O kingly Heart of Jesus!

O Sacred Heart, through Thy powerful grace, may we become Thy apostles in the midst of a corrupted world, and be Thy crown in the kingdom of Heaven. Amen. 2

Nihil Obstat - John J. Clifford, S.J. Censor Liborum

Imprimatur - + Samuel A. Stritch, December 17, 1943 Archbishop of Chicago.

St. Francis de Sales Oratory of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest in St. Louis, Missouri

UPDATE FROM COMBOX:

A member of the parish in Marysville left a comment. It deserves to be read and answered, so I am taking the liberty of attaching it here. However, I have now removed her name and her comments from the combox. She is distressed and has no reason to apologise. This is about clarifying a bad situation and bringing people to know that the liturgy is not a game we play, like football.

May the person who put this comment know that she is loved and appreciated for her openness here and she does not need to feel bad about writing. However, I think it is important that the comment and my explanation stand in the interest of catechesis.

I am a member of this parish. Marysville is the city that just had a shooting at our high school 100 days ago. Father was trying to stir a healing, to find joy in life and show community and energy. It does not change the mass or its sacredness. We do not cover our heads, and most teens wear jeans to mass but they come! It is not right to be Pharisees and Sadducees. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and ate with tax collectors and prostitutes. This priest is bringing people to Jesus and meeting them where they are. Shame on you who judge. This is a community who love Jesus and wanted to celebrate and give thanks for the good in the world as well as the good in our faith at a tough time in Marysville. Uniting and celebrating the good. If you think this was wrong than you have that right but do not judge what you do not understand. I love our priest, our church, and will defend it. This city has been through so much. Pray for us, not hate and point fingers. This same church just opened a homeless shelter! Jesus is in our Faith Formation classes, our choir, and with our saints!
Let me assure you of my respect and prayers regarding the tragedy which happened in your town. I was not aware of this sad event, just one more in a long series of tragedies in schools across America. I must say that I was probably more pre-occupied with the murders of two of our soldiers in Canada by Islamo-fascist terrorists (which our Prime Minister calls out by name) to have paid much attention to that shooting; or perhaps I am becoming as many are, immune to the situation. Regardless, it was a tragedy for those victims and their families and the community. May the dead rest in peace with Our Lord and may the perpetrators be confounded and the mourning comforted. I am sure that everyone here reading this will pause now and say a Hail Mary for those who continue to suffer from this event.

...

Now, the rest you are probably not going to like because I am going to give it to you straight. It is clear to me that you have erroneous opinions based on an ill-formed Catholic faith and catechetical upbringing and I will try answer you with charity, and clarity!

1. "Father was trying to stir a healing, to find joy in life and show community and energy."

I am sure that you are familiar with the saying, "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions?" Well, that's the road ahead if that is what he was trying to do. First, I don't know Father's real intention. However, presuming that you are correct and this was his intention, objectively speaking, he was wrong and committed an abuse of the liturgy which for a priest, can be a very serious sin. I am actually surprised -- given that he is African I would have thought that he would know better. Perhaps though, he has been infected with the poison administered by previous Archbishops of Seattle beginning with Hunthausen that your current Shepherd is trying to remedy. Seattle has not been known for more than a century now of orthodoxy and true liturgical renewal but rather of liturgical abuse and heretical influences. How are the vocations there doing? You can read it all at the archived Seattle Catholic. On your point about "healing, joy in life and community and energy," let us put energy aside because that could mean anything. If you think that NFL football and other non-purposed paraphernalia in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass provides healing and joy, then that explains more about the situation in your parish and your faith knowledge than it does about anything else. Healing is found in prayer and adoration and in the Sacraments, the first and most particular being Penance and the Holy Eucharist. Joy is found in Truth and what was done here is none of that. Given that Father -- after pronouncing the final blessing, -- put on a Seahawks ski cap and threw a Seattle Seahawks blanket over his chasuble before the recessional, he may have known exactly what he was doing.

2. It does not change the mass or its sacredness.

Wrong - it most certainly does! The fundamental problem is that, with all respect, you seem to have no idea what the Mass actually is and what is taking place at Mass. The word Mass comes from the Latin - missa which means "you are sent" the last words of the liturgy are, Ite missa est - Go, you are sent and that is part of our western language problem beginning with the Latin. Our ancestors knew what it meant - mission, we seem to have lost that. However, in the East, the liturgy is referred to as Divine Worship. In my own ancestors land of Lebanon in the Maronite Rite, it is Qurbono -- literally, The Sacrifice! There is a more fundamental fact seemingly poorly catechised Catholics are ignorant of and it is this: -- the Mass is the Sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary brought forward in time and re-presented on the Altar of Sacrifice in our churches. It is a propitiatory offering to God the Father by God the Son through the God the Holy Spirit of the once and final blood sacrifice of Christ in an unbloody manner for the expiation of my sins and yours and all of humanity should they come to Him to be baptised in water and washed by His blood! The problem, or so it seems, is that you were not taught this for the simple reason that many Catholic teachers, priests and bishops don't believe it. Further, the posture of the priest facing the people and the horizontal plane on which the Altar sits masks it (see the picture above from St Francis de Sales Oratory to show what I mean). Let me ask you this question -- if you were transported back in time to Calvary to witness the crucifixion of Our Blessed Lord, would you decorate the cross with Seattle Seahawks paraphernalia and jump up and dance or cheer for a sports team? Of course you would not! Therefore, what was done was, in fact, a ridicule of Divine Worship to God and a profanation of the sacred.

3. We do not cover our heads, and most teens wear jeans to mass but they come!

Nobody asked you to cover your heads (as women) and the 1983 Code of Canon Law does not require it, though it is a worthy thing to do and Saint Paul the Apostle himself would demand it. As for "jeans" -- well, if that is all one has, then jeans are fine, but if you were going to meet the President of the United States (even the current boob in the White House), you would most certainly dress up and put on your "Sunday best" right? Why would you do any less for the King of kings and Lord of lords?

4. It is not right to be Pharisees and Sadducees.

Ah that old canard, eh?; well, you forgot to add that I'm a "self-absorbed, promethean neo-pelagian" too! Tell me, when Jesus went to the Temple, His Father's house which is to be called "a house of prayer" but which was made into a "den of thieves" by the Pharisees and Sadducees, was he being Pharisaical when he beat them out of the Temple with whips and overturned the tables of the money-changers or was He just being a self-absorbed promethean neo-pelagian? Who then, Stacey, are the real Pharisees and Sadducees? Those who act as the ones did who defiled the Temple or your Church for last Sunday (and heaven knows what other times) or those who follow what Jesus did proclaiming that a "house of prayer has been turned into a den of thieves?"

5. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and ate with tax collectors and prostitutes.

He most certainly did and your comment is a non-sequitur.

6. This priest is bringing people to Jesus and meeting them where they are.

I hope that he is bringing them to Jesus but if this is where they are, they are in the wrong place. The priest must raise them to a higher level and if this is the height of expectation of the priest and the parish for your youth and people of Marysville, then he and you have a pretty low standard for yourselves and your neighbours.

7. Shame on you who judge.

I'm reporting and besides, what is wrong with judging? We do it every day, you do it. What is it that you are not to judge? I am judging the actions of people that have done wrong. I am not judging your soul or the priest's, or the motives, I have been very careful about that with the word "objectively speaking." Objectively speaking it can be a mortal sin for a priest to introduce such things into the liturgy. Did you know that Vatican II actually taught this? "Therefore no other person, even if he be a priest, may add, remove, or change anything in the liturgy on his own authority." - Sacrosanctam Concilium, III. 22.3

8. This is a community who love Jesus and wanted to celebrate and give thanks for the good in the world as well as the good in our faith at a tough time in Marysville. Uniting and celebrating the good.

All that is good and wonderful but the party does not belong at the Mass, but rather, in the parish hall!

9. If you think this was wrong then you have that right but do not judge what you do not understand.

Not only do I have the God-given right as a citizen of Canada, but I have the calling as a Confirmed Catholic to preach the truth of Christ and His Church; and trust me, I fully understand what is going on.

10.  I love our priest, our church, and will defend it.

Good, that is the right place to start. Now, you need to educate yourself on what was wrong with what was done.

11. This city has been through so much. Pray for us, don't hate and point fingers. This same church just opened a homeless shelter! Jesus is in our Faith Formation classes, our choir, and with our saints!

I am sure all people of goodwill will hold your community up in prayer. Nobody is hating anyone here so please don't use the gay-agenda, Islamic-fascist canard of "hater" to describe me or anyone else commenting on this blog. Homeless shelters are wonderful things and good for the parish that it began one. The City of Seattle has a homeless shelter or two, I should think, but it has nothing to do with the Mass or the Catholic Church; the Church is about more than "social justice." Remember, "not everyone who cries, Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven." It is not about abominable worship to God with a homeless shelter that makes it all right; that makes it all wrong. A little bit of poison in water is still poison. It about right worship and a homeless shelter.

Fundamentally, it seems that what you have not been taught is what was described above about the Holy Mass and that we go to Mass for four reasons which are easy to remember if you think of the Book of Acts, though you touched on it in #8:

A = Adoration of God - FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT.

C = Contrition for our sins.

T = Thanksgiving for all the gifts that God has given to us.

S = Supplication - asking God for our needs and the needs of others.

Nowhere is there to worship the Seattle Seahawks.

One more thing.

Deacon Greg Kandra at The Deacon's Bench picked up this story and quoted directly from two documents easily found on EWTN. Read them there and don't argue with me, take it up with Rome.
