"Peter" contradicts Peter

The Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus usually celebrated on the Sunday after the Octave of Christmas was transferred to yesterday, January 2, as the Octave was on Sunday. I am referring of course to the right and proper calendar. In the modernist calendar, it is today, January 3.

In the Readings of the First Nocturn of Matins, we read from the Book of Acts beginning at Chapter 3 and the discourse of Peter and John and the lame man as they go up to the Temple. The Third Reading is damning to our modern churchmen, most specifically, St. Peter's very successor.

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them: Ye princes of the people, and ancients, hear: 9 If we this day are examined concerning the good deed done to the infirm man, by what means he hath been made whole: 10 Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God hath raised from the dead, even by him this man standeth here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was rejected by you the builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved.

We are told by St. Luke, the author of Acts, that peter was "filled with the Holy Ghost." Therefore, what followed from Peter's mouth were not just words of Peter but of God Himself as it was the Holy Spirit speaking through Peter.

Let us read it again.

"This (Jesus) is the stone which was rejected by you the builders, which is become the head of the corner.Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved."

Our current Bishop of  Rome has said that proselytism is "solemn nonsense" and a "sin."

I think St. Peter might disagree with Pope Bergoglio.

PF's DNA is much more aligned to Judas than Peter. Peter showed sorrow for his sins & ended up by giving his life for his Master. Judas did not repent but went out & hung himself. If he had repented he could have been saved, like the good thief who asked Jesus to remember him when he came into His Kingdom.

We must redouble our prayerful efforts to support the four Cardinals, the Dublia & formal correction which hopefully will be made any day now. Once the formalities have been observed we will be better informed as to what the next steps to be taken involve. Our Lady is close at hand & already knows the outcome to all of this so we must trust in Her.

The pope should read the first pastoral letter issued, in 1842, by Bishop Michael Power, the first bishop of the Toronto diocese. Bishop Power had no problem with proselytism. If interersted, you can read the entire letter here. It's breath of spiritual fresh air:

I'm reading that letter and quite frankly, it reads almost like a papal encyclical!

Vox, can you shed a little more light on this man for the benefit of your American readers? Also, don't forget Blessed Nikita Bucks, the first Ukrainian Greek Catholic bishops of Canada!

Good advice, Ana.

If he doesn't believe that the Catholic Church is the One and ONLY way of salvation, he, himself, will not be saved.

I think his own salvation is the farthest thing from his mind right now. And as for the salvation of "souls" . . . well - actions speak louder than words, folks!

This also proves we have Judas Iscariot sitting in Peter's Chair. Something terrible happened at the last Conclave and it has to do with Cardinal Kasper's interface with an incredible effort to lobby for the Bergoglio vote in the Conclave and Bergoglio was behind this evil act. What is the fruit of these evil actions at the Conclave is now becoming very clear.

This article helped me to make sense of the train wreck that was/is Vatican II. Enjoy the clarity. Francis is simply, and horribly, the logical extension-not to say conclusion- (yet), of the imprecision and man-centered, self congratulatory, Tower-of-Babelish, experiment that we are living. http://www.cfnews.org/page10/page89/original_sin_of_vaitcan_ii.html

Convert the Jews and the Muslims to the Catholic Church it is the duty of all Catholics even the Pope. It is not a Sin. If it was we would not have any Traditional Saints in the Catholic Church less the Apostles who did proselytize for the love of God and the Catholic Church. This Pope is a mad man when he says it's a Sin to convert Jews, Muslims and Hindus. The Catholic Church sole purpose is to save souls not to save the environment and the other nonsense he is apostasizing about Adultery.
