You rigid and safe Catholic, you are not "free!!

Once again, the Bishop or Rome has manipulated the burdensome Pharisaical laws with the true Commandments of God and the effort of Catholics to remain faithful to His divine and just Law. Speaking in a homily at the Vatican City Motel, the Bishop of Rome stated:

Pope Francis at Mass in the chapel of the Casa Santa Marta, on Feb 6, 2017
“When Jesus says: ‘The Father is always at work: I, too, am always at work,’ the teachers of the law were scandalized and wanted to kill him for this. Why? Because they could not receive the things of God as a gift! Only as Justice: ‘These are the Commandments: but they are few, let’s make more. And instead of opening their heart to the gift, they hid, have sought refuge in the rigidity of the Commandments, which they had multiplied up to 500 or more ... They did not know how to receive the gift – and the gift is only received with freedom – and these rigid characters were afraid of the freedom that God gives us: they were afraid of love.”
“How do I receive the redemption, the forgiveness that God has given me, the making of me a son with His Son? Lovingly, tenderly, with freedom? Or do I hide in the rigidity of the closed Commandments, that are more and more “safe” – with emphasis on the scare-quotes – but that do not give joy, because they does not make you free. Each of us ought to ask himself wonder how he is experiencing these two wonders: the wonder of creation and even greater wonder of re-creation. May the Lord make us understand this great thing and make us understand what He was doing before creating the world: He was loving. Let us understand His love for us, and may we say – as we said today: ‘Lord, you are great! Thank you, thank you!’ Let us go forward like this.

The beloved Apostle of the Lord, St John the Evangelist, recorded the words of Jesus in his Gospel, at chapter 8: 28-32

"Jesus therefore said to them: When you shall have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know, that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father hath taught me, these things I speak: And he that sent me, is with me, and he hath not left me alone: for I do always the things that please himWhen he spoke these things, many believed in him. Then Jesus said to those Jews, who believed him: If you continue in my word, you shall be my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

To be a disciple of Jesus means to "continue in (His) word. This would mean that as a disciple we would love Him and as he said, "If you love me, keep my Commandments."

We have made no “new” laws, no “new” commandments. We follow those of God, to love him and one like unto it, "our neighbour as ourselves." Within those two commands are all the others. The Bishop of Rome is manipulating the reality here to make his heresy that those who are unrepentant adulterers are not in grievous sin that is mortal and may receive the Sacraments.

Day by day, this Bergoglio reveals more of the corrupted thinking that has infected his faith and what he expects you to follow to infect yours.

Frankly, he is a coward. He does not have the courage to come right out and state it, instead, he plays with words and has others, such as those in Buenos Aires, Germany and Malta and a few derelict bishop in America to do his bidding. He is having these malefactors set it up and then he is able to stay just above it, not committing a formal heresy, not proclaiming a false doctrine.  He is a coward because he knows, if he was to say outright what he thinks, he would be declared a formal heretic.

No, the Pope is wrong and he must be called out.

Bishops?

Cardinals?

I waiting for PF to say that the Catholic Church has ALWAYS taught that "by faith alone are we saved."

He sound's more and more like a protestant... well, less and less like a Catholic for sure.

Yes, Vox. To claim that adhering to the Commandments somehow limits your freedom, when in fact this is exactly the thing that sets you free, is diabolical. And so very Lutheran. Can't he just go join them? https://nonvenipacem.com/2017/02/06/thou-shalt-not-follow-the-commandments/

Where are Cardinal Burke, Bishop Schneider et al? Too busy putting up posters around Rome, much to Cardinal Ouellet's annoyance, to keep in touch? Even if that be the case (which I doubt) why don't they confirm if they have made the formal correction & say when are they going to call an Imperfect Council? PF is a traitor to God vilifying His Word, questioning His Commandments, unwilling to defend the True Faith for which purpose he was elected to do. False obedience to this man is not in keeping with their calling. When did red hats suddenly turn to pink ones?

God wrote the Ten Commandments in stone,Id say that was pretty rigid. He did not write them on shifting sand.

What did God do before we created man? - He loved us.
Jorge's god is like a mother who will never discipline her child: I will always love you, no matter what.

I can't respect a mother like this, She plays it safe - never takes a stand, never attempts to push her son "forward"- from the pits of hell into the Father's Kingdom. What if the son feels offended by her rigidity and lack of tenderness, and turns away from her? Or maybe this is not rigidity but courage, not tenderness but cowardice and abandonment of her duty?

How can she claim to believe that her son was made in God's image, if she will never attempt to explain it to her son?

Bergoglio believes himself so clever, but if he stopped for a second to think a little, he would see that braking even one commandment separates us from God, obstructs the flow of His grace. Much too often we can't move forward (which means toward God with increasing obedience and love) despite many good deeds we perform, because we will not give up an one small sin, we will not trust God completely,

If Bergoglio would bother to recall his earthly father, and if he was not a psychopath without normal human emotions, he would remember how painful it is for a father to see a child reject his love, his guidance, his wisdom. Bergoglio demands all his clergy to obey him unquestioningly, yet encourages people to be bold and brake commandments of God? This Bergoglio is almost too much to take, I know we deserve nothing more, but this man's daily poison hurts my brain and my soul so much.

To paraphrase DT, you don't tip off your hand.

The ravings of a lunatic or someone w/a brain tumor. Must be contagious since most of the cardinals and bishops seem infected. Mental AIDS/third degree syphilis.

Apparently the Italian Police are looking for the "criminals" who put up the posters in Rome exposing Francis ! Wonder what kind of "Mercy" they can expect if they get nabbed? May Almighty God keep them cloaked against this witch-hunt!

I got the impression Francis was speaking about the Jewish ( I am not sure what they were called...but there were about 600 rules that they became fixated on. What were those called and is it possible that that is what he is speaking about...i.e handwashing etc?

Keep the insults coming Jorge, the more you insult those who are faithful to Christ, the more you will be held accountable on the day of judgement.

Commandments are the guard rails God gives us to keep us from hurting ourselves spiritually proving his love for us. Pope Francis wants to remove the guard rails so we will hurt ourselves spiritually proving his disregard for God and ourselves.

Bergoglio is not even a Christian. Let alone Catholic.

It is beyond endurance to watch Francis and his fellow heretical prelates continually offend God in the most evil ways and herd people into Hell. Dear Lord, please end this evil from the top of the Church soon. Give us the grace we need to do our duty to defend you and souls against this diabolic onslaught.

And hasten the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

If any father called his children "rigid", "neo-Pelagian", etc., for over 3 years, he'd be reported to Child Protection Services or whatever the equivalent is in your area, probably have a restraining order issued against him and/or be issued a subpoena to stand trial.
