Parolin and the UnHoly See are "concerned" about populism

Cardinal Parolin of the UnHoly See is "concerned" about populism.

Too bad this pompous heresiarch isn't concerned about the loss of souls.

Populism: [noun]  Oxford1.    Support for the concerns of ordinary people.
1.1  The quality of appealing to or being aimed at ordinary people.

I mean, we wouldn't want to care too much about the "concerns of ordinary people," now would we, Cardinal Capo?

(Vatican Radio) The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, on Tuesday evening said the Holy See is “concerned” about the emergence of populism.
The chief Vatican diplomat was speaking after meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, and other officials for an annual summit at the Italian Embassy to the Holy See, commemorating the signing of the Lateran Pacts between the Holy See and Italy in 1929.
Cardinal Parolin said closing in on oneself is “never a good policy.”
“The inability to welcome and integrate can be dangerous,” – the Cardinal said – “History teaches us this, and we hope that in this sense it will not be repeated.”
He also said the European project must be “relaunched,” ahead of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome in 1957, which created the European Economic Community (ECC), the forerunner of the European Union.
The vote by Great Britain to leave the European Union, as well as the rise of Eurosceptic parties in other countries, has been causing a crisis within European institutions.
“It is obvious there are many tensions, many difficulties, but they are also able to become, as they say, a ‘kairos’ - an opportune moment - to reset the political relationship on a new basis,” the Cardinal said.
Cardinal Parolin told journalists the two sides also spoke about social issues in Italy, especially “migration, unemployment, and youth.”c

They are SELECTIVELY concerned about 'populism', they themselves used populist claims to embark upon Vatican II, Operation Mercy and Amoris Adulterii.

Turns out the sheep have moved on, and they realize their popularism only exists within their small echo chamber.

So true! They've driven so many Catholics away that they are trying to rope in all of the protestants. They are very selective. If one is a good Catholic with a conscience that tells them to follow God's laws, they are driven out. If it is one who tries to justify sin, they are embraced under the umbrella of false mercy. That's why the liberal world adores PF. Mercy is not what the unrepentant sinner needs who plans to sin again. It is justice. It is sad we have a hierarchy full of effeminate men who don't dare preach sin anymore. Our Lady of Fatima, come to our assistance!

Good words Anonymous. Yes, let Our Lady of Fatima come to our aid. She is overdue it seems to me. The time has come for strong corrective action regarding the hierarchy of the Catholic Church beginning at the top.

Of course there are all those leftist popular movements that seem to get invited to the Vatican with regularity these days. Perhaps what they're worried about isn't populism, but the "wrong" kind of populism in their eyes.

The question is whether Francis is unaware he is a hypocrite, or whether he knows and doesn't care.

Is "Parolin" French or Italian for "Parody"?

Cdn Catholic,

Francis knows. He has been praised by friends for extreme efficiency via duplicity. [Probably above average even for a Jesuit.]

How interesting, the smell of the sheep and the trenches and field hospitals are no longer good for them? Populism bad now? It is not the kind of populism our elites had in mind? Not quite the smell they like? Populace disobedient makes trouble for the order of new tyranny - I mean peace and unity?

I wonder, will a woman formerly Christian be allowed not to wear a burqa in this new world religion? We know Muslims are not into compromise. Convert or die (or acid in the face)!

This is the goal of the new "global church" as they themselves say:
