The Commandments of God block grace and cause you to sin against memory. Yes, Bergoglio really said that.

Are we to conclude that Jorge Bergoglio is manic-depressive, bi-polar?

Is he suffering from some advancing form of dementia?

Could he be under the influence of a demon?

Because no priest, no Pope who truly loves Christ and His people would speak such sheer and utter lunacy.

The Pope is an embarrassment. He is a disgrace and there is no other way to say it. His "homilies" are incoherent blathering of a corrupted theology. He is insulting  and degrading to faithful Catholics.

It is time for the Cardinal and Bishops to act. No, the time has long past.

Not only is the man responsible for disunity and propagating heresy and sacrilege, he is nothing more than a verbally abusive bully.

And when he says "forward," remember this. That words matter, they matter very much, indeed.

SUMMARY OF PAPAL HOMILY IN ENGLISH
(Source: Vatican Radio)
"‘Brothers, call to mind those first days’: the days of enthusiasm, of going forward in the faith, when you began to live the faith, the anguished trials… You don’t understand the Christian life, even the spiritual life of each day, without memory. Not only do you not understand: You can’t live in a Christian way without memory. The memory of the salvation of God in my life, the memory of my troubles in my life; but how has the Lord saved me from these troubles? Memory is a grace: a grace to ask for. ‘Lord, may I not forget your step in my life, may I not forget the good moments, also the ugly; the joys and the crosses.’ The Christian is a man of memory.”
"Hope: Looking to the future. Just as one cannot live a Christian life without memory of the steps taken, one cannot live a Christian life without looking to the future with hope… of the encounter with the Lord. And he uses a beautiful phrase: ‘just a brief moment…’ Eh, life is a breath, eh? It passes. When one is young, he thinks he has so much time before him, but then life teaches us that those words that we all say: ‘But how time passes! I knew this person as a child, now they’re getting married! How time passes!’ It comes soon. But the hope of encountering it is a life in tension, between memory and hope, the past and the future.”
"‘Not taking risks, please, no… prudence…’ All the commandments, all of them… Yes, it’s true, but this paralyzes you too, it makes you forget so many graces received, it takes away memory, it takes away hope, because it doesn’t allow you to go forward. And the present of a Christian, of such a Christian, is how when one goes along the street and an unexpected rain comes, and the garment is not so good and the fabric shrinks… Confined souls… This is faintheartedness: this is the sin against memory, courage, patience, and hope. May the Lord make us grow in memory, make us grow in hope, give us courage and patience each and free us from that which is faintheartedness, being afraid of everything…  Confined souls in order to save ourselves. And Jesus says: ‘He who wills to save his life will lose it.’”

Maybe he's saying that Catholic schools and catechesis is harmful to our spiritual "freedom" and encounter with God.

His Humbleness arrogantly reduced God to mercy, when He is both - merciful and just.
God-fearing people are grateful for God's fatherly love, which clearly revealed to us our purpose - to seek Him above all else, and with it - guidelines to achieve it. Our God-given flesh comes with an operating manual.
God said to seek the Kingdom of Heaven first, and only then all the rest will be added onto us.

Yet His Humbleness is focused on all the rest (do good deeds and I will meet you in heaven, don't worry if you reject Jesus), on an ill-conceived social and environmental justice. That necessarily (because he denied the God-given order) leads him into error, and rejection of God's sovereign rule.

When man (as understood by Bergoglio) comes before God, when the foundational principle of our being is rejected, inevitably everything else collapses. When the first commandment is ignored, all the following commandments don't make sense, and impede progress of the devil.

Bergoglio is constructing a church where man rules over God with his superior goals (worship of the poor and the earth, population control) guided by his internal forum. We a re all making a mess together, gods of surprises,

Sure, why not?

He's already thrown out the 6th and 9th commandment, has institutionalized the breaking of the 8th, and has a whole encyclical Laudato Si is about breaking the 1st commandment. It's any a matter of time before he'd endorse doing away with all of them.

That's the problem with Montanist like Pope Francis who are "open to the 'God of surprises'". New "revelation" trumps all the teachings of the Church and even the words of Christ himself. And since that "revelation" is "from God", anyone who defies him is a heretic and needs to suffer the full consequences for "heresy".

These are the ramblings of the narcissist. The gaslighting, the word salad verbosity, the blocking and the crazy making behavior. This is what they do. They live for it and thrive on it. The word is spite. Every action taken by them can be boiled down to the word spite. It's deliberate and it's nasty. In this way they mimic demons. Their essence is spite.

How about summarizing the Pope's homily like this?

"Remember how God drew you in? Remember how he wooed you into a deeper relationship and out of a life of sin? Good. You need to consistently remember that. We need to look back at what God has done in our life, be thankful for it, in order to trust him in the future.

Life is short. The future you have left is short. Remember just how fast life passes.

You need to move forward prudently. Keep the commandments... all of them. But do not be afraid to move forward with your life and in your relationship with Christ. Look back and see how he has been there. Move forward with confidence!"

Honestly Vox... this is pure misunderstood sensationalism on your part. If anything, a homily like this is directed precisely towards those who think like you do.

There are ways to not compromise on one iota of truth, be a 'faithful catholic', and yet be a person of joy and well adjusted normalcy.

For a pope to say that the Commandments given us by God actually block His grace is demonically stupid & evil. prior to that he has told us to argue with God & tell Hm our sins are His. PF certainly is being led by the Evil One & it is now absolutely necessary for the Hierarchy as a whole to act. A Satanic Despot cannot be Pope!

Will the four Cardinals & their list of supporters please confirm that the formal correction has been made & call for an Imperfect Council to urgently convene.

Wishful thinking on your behalf. A credit to you though, you would make a better Pope than this lunatic we have now.

I can't keep track of the Anonymous's, but one of them defended the pope's words and spun them nicely. I disagree, he spouts misrepresentations, errors, and heresy too many times to give him a pass on a minor comment. He cannot have the benefit of the doubt any longer. We passed that time about two years back. He is a malefactor, a heretic, an enemy of Christ and the Church.
