The whole modern edifice will need to collapse before any true "renewal" takes place.

As painful as it is (and it's going to get worse), perhaps we can thank Pope Benedict XVI for finally bringing it to the fore by his resignation.

Our Lord, no doubt, is sick of this, and He is going to purge His Church. We need to dig in. The ride is going to get rougher.
