Father Peter Carota - Requiescat in pace

Father Peter Carota has died.

Father Carota has been suffering greatly over the last year and it has been written of on the blog which he started, Traditional Catholic Priest. Since Father's illness, it has been maintained by a friend of his. He passed into eternity at 7:00A.M, today, July 8, 2016.

A few years ago on a trip through parts of Canada, Father Carota stopped one weekend at Kinkora in the Diocese of London. It was a pleasure to meet Father and lunch with him after chanting the Mass in the traditional Rite which he Offered up to God.

May the soul of this priest who Offered the Holy Sacrifice rest in the sweet peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rest well, good Father.

Pray for us and for the whole, wretched world.

So many of the good ones are going, and they're not old. We need them here.

This is sad news. His suffering is now over, he has attained his heavenly reward. We should pray to him now for guidance in keeping the True Faith of Christ & not be misled by Modernist fiends. We pray that the sifting of the chaff from the wheat will soon end.

R.I.P Fr. Carota.

Fr. Carota left us far too soon. He is the one person I knew today who I will say with confidence will be canonized by the Church, some day.

Rest in peace, good Father.

Fr. Carota touched the lives of myself and my family during a weekend trip to the Traditional Latin Mass at Assumption Church in Windsor a few years ago. We had a short and friendly chat. He was encouraged to see our large traditional Catholic family attending. He had a real Love for the Tridentine Liturgy. May you sleep in the sleep of peace.

Don't forget +Fr. Nicholas Gruner, the "Fatima Priest" who zealously worked to spread the full Message of Fatima.

Eternal memory!

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.

Dear Vox,

We found Fr. Carota's writings to be very encouraging and inspirational.

It was so refreshing to read about his non-compromising stance, his love of the Traditional Latin Mass, his care for souls and his calls to people to true repentance and conversion of life.

The articles he did about the missions in Mexico were particularly important.

He was a marvellous priest: when you saw pictures of him and read about his work, you thought of Christ.

May he rest in peace. Amen.
