“A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, 'You are mad; you are not like us.” ― St. Antony the Great
Some heads better start rolling... The response thus far shows how these men just do not get it. What is coming out of the Vatican and these bishops is a joke. We could care less about your apologies or sorrow. We want C-H-A-N-G-E, and it needs to start with some resignations, so get the ball rolling Mr. Wuerl, don't wait, all eyes are on you. Don't worry, you'll have some company pretty soon, please God.
We sat out Sunday, it just felt right. Not perfectly right, but right enough. There is an aspect to all of this that doesn't get mentioned. It is now obvious the pope and the bishops assume no matter what they do or say, or don't do or say, we'll just keep showing up on Sunday and throw that check in. I'm starting to feel more like a hostage than a practicing Catholic.
Kathleen - Right on!!!! For me it's like Francis made it all too obvious that the entire heiarchy wishes to destroy the faith. There MIGHT be a few that believe, but they're too cowardly to do anything except whimper and wring their soft, soft hands.
Vox What are the chances of bad cops outing bad cops? Not much is there. What are the chances of homosexual bishops outing "fraters" in the hierarchy or in the priesthood at large? Not going to happen. Think of the heterosexual bishops who, contrary to church law, knowingly ordained gay men, some of whom turned out to be time bombs. Are they going to admit their role in this scandal? Remote chance I'd say. I think we will see a limited hang out by the hierarchy as a damage control option, then it will be back to work as usual. The gay clerics to a great extent have control of the cards in the deck. And don't forget that they have an ally in Rome who goes by the stage name of Francis.
Well said Dorota...Bergolglio is a disgrace, an apostate and chief enabler of the whole faggot cabal in the Vatican and in the wider Church. Truly the fox put in charge as chicken monitor...
LESS THAN 10% OF SEXUAL ABUSE VICTIMS COME FORWARD...we only know about the ones that somehow found the courage to overcome their psycho-sexual trauma. I can't imagine the number of all of the victims and families that are suffering, and how that damages society at large.
Most victims need decades to get past the shame in order to come forward, the church's lobbying efforts in NY (and lots of $$$ going to the lobby group) to fight statute of limitations reforms are another attempt to keep victims silent.
What is not getting attention is the abuse in Greensburg. The AG missed a lot, and I thank him for the light, but the Greensburg Diocese has just as many abuses that they are hiding. Everyone should wonder why less in GBG; because Connare and the bishops and Monsignors who followed it kept it out of the PGH media market. GBG priest rape, launder, and I hope it comes to light. Like everything, they are concealing it so PGH get the attention.

Those who admire Bergoglio most, praise his ability to be pro-life with pro-lifers at breakfast, and pro-abortion with abortionists at lunch.
Wuerl is a fox of equally practical qualities. He gets things done.
I am sure they have nothing but utmost admiration and disgust for each other.
I believe the dam is about to break in full force.
