More on masks in Church and particularly to those who attend the Traditional Latin Mass and the haters out there.

LifeSiteNews has, two weeks after this blog, reported on the loss of the traditional liturgy in Kitchener and Owen Sound due to the lack of mask-wearing on the part of congregants.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/canadian-catholic-church-nixes-latin-mass-cites-covid-non-compliance

Trust me when I tell you that the abuse I have taken in this combox and elsewhere over my statement is astounding. Frankly, trads can be the worst.

These people in Hamilton diocese did this to themselves. They were cautioned by the President of Una Voce Canada in Vancouver not to draw the line in the sand and that they would lose the Mass and not get it back. This writer, who was asked for advice, told them the same thing. The would lose the Mass, they were guests in the churches. They played right into the hands of those who hate the traditional liturgy. Stupid, stupid people.

I say this to everyone out there in Latin Mass communities. Don't tempt God. Your priests and bishops have asked you to cooperate and it is not a sin to wear a mask. Don't play into the hands of those that would destroy the traditional Mass, if they could!

Look folks, whether you like it or not, you wear a mask to buy your milk, aspirin or your jug of whiskey. Yet, you refuse to put it on to attend the Holy Mass? Are you insane?

The post a few below on the situation in Toronto was meant to be positive and show that actual hospitalisations are fairly low. This tells me that amongst other things, masks in fact are working.

Take the emotion and conspiracy theories out of it folks. Look at logic and keep it civil here or leave and go elsewhere. I don't need you to read this blog. Simply, go away.

I've even been called "evil" over my exposure of sodomite Basilians. On the other hand, some creepy blogger named Tancred has sent hate mail for months calling me "gay".

I must be over the target.

What sick people there are.

The NO will look for any reason whatsoever to forbid the Latin Mass. They do not need a reason, you give them the authority by continuing your support of their churches. FSSP, ICK, and diocesan latin masses are still masses that belong to the NO conciliar false church. They say jump and you say how high. You are placing yourselves under the authority of modernist heretics. They give with one hand and take with the other. Today its masks, tomorrow they will make you include female deacons or hand communion.

I totally agree Vox !
These people who hate over mask wearing are much more POLITICAL than Catholic. However, they are too ignorant to realize it.

Wearing a mask in this context is a sin against the 8th Commandment. People who wear the mask, which doesn't even work per the CDC, are bearing false witness against the truth. So yes, it is a sin. And how do you know whether these people wear a mask to get food and medicine? I don't and most people in my area do not. The grave harm that has been done to society based on this false narrative is a sin. Cancelling church and Easter, remember Easter?, based on a lie has caused great harm to people's eternal souls. This is absolutely the line to die on to promote the truth. Christ is the truth. Blaming the evil actions of evil people on people who would fight for the truth and their rights is wrong. You are wrong. And you are on the side of lies and the father of lies. I regularly read your blog but as you say don't need people to read your blog. So I've deleted it from my reading list. I can tolerate some difference in opinions but I can't tolerate people who tolerate evil and call me stupid and other names.

Ubi caritas est vera, Deus ibi est. God is not here with your attitude in the post.

Vox, no worries. They are now hidden in catacombs. Didn't you know?
"..Then the Church shall be scattered, driven into the wilderness, and shall be for a time, as it was in the beginning, invisible; hidden in catacombs, in dens, in mountains, in lurking places; for a time it shall be swept, as it were from the face of the earth. Such is the universal testimony of the Fathers of the early Church.”- Henry Edward Cardinal Manning

Good afternoon!
I would like to just say that a low hospitalization rate does not really show that masks work. In nursing school we were taught ( in the 90’s) that masks do not stop viruses. They are really only affective against coughs and saliva. The low hospitalization has also occurred here in the state of Maine. Most folks testing positive here never knew they had it.
I am not against wearing masks if they make someone more comfortable, just against forced masking.
I pray this will all be cleared up soon, then we can get back to more enjoyable times!
Pax tecum!
Dave

You can delete this Vox .
I just wanted all the medical experts here to know that when I go into the hospital I will be informing them they must remove their useless masks. Everyone has one on now thanks to covid. I will tell them the experts here say they are ONLY wearing them to keep pus and blood from splashing them in the face. (RARE except maybe occasionally in the ER).I am sure we will all have a good laugh.

It is pretty unbelievable to see the same vitriol in the secular world as in our Catholic sphere. What on earth has happened to people. If we could be objective and step back and question ourselves every time we start typing, maybe it would help. We're letting this world get to us, we're letting it change us. Catholics may feel we get special protection against the dark spirit of the age, but we don't. We need to stay alert, and guard our hearts and our tongues. It is so easy to hate right now, we're all on edge, we're all tired, but no matter how much we spew, it's not going to make us feel any better. It's sure to make us feel worse, because we know better. I"m not talking about the church higher-ups, but how we talk to each other.
Vox, you suffered as a boy, it should never happen to anyone, and people don't understand what that does to a boy. I'm sorry as I can be at what happened to you and every boy these filthy predators found. Our church has been infiltrated to the very top. Someday God will deal with every single one of them. Justice will be served.

I'm very disappointed that some people would put the TLM at risk because they refuse to wear a mask.
All of our parishes in the Archdiocese of Vancouver including the FSSP require face masks and the designated number of attendees.
Of course, some people for a variety of reasons are exempt however the rest cannot say they value the TLM and then lose it.
The Evil One has gotten his way, one more time.

Perhaps they should have all worn MAGA masks. However, "masks in fact are working"?
No one, no one, wears a mask in my area except when forced to and our "actual hospitalisations are fairly low."

Diocesan and SSPX Latin Masses should be worried more about putting Bergoglio’s filthy blaspheous heretical name in the Sacred Canon than worrying about masks. They should also be worried about the ambigious and doubtful ordination rite they use for bishops and priests given to them by another sodomite heretic named Montini.

I may be the only one or perhaps the last one who understands that buying groceries such as bread, milk or a bottle of bourbon, or perhaps a few bottles of bourbon while we are here is not the same as being present for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Not even close. No. In case you are still scratching your head about this, and I bet many of you probably are, the Real Presence is the difference. The Real Presence refers to the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord, Savior, Redeemer and King in the Most Holy Sacrament of the alter, the Eucharist. It is this Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist that Exorcists and Visionaries have witnessed to cause demons to flee, and yes it will protect you from this pestilence that should not be. You can hide behind your mask but, your mask will not hide you from it, nor will the boiled bodies of aborted babies in some vaccine shot give you any protection.

And will not God revenge his elect who cry to him day and night: and will he have patience in their regard? [8] I say to you, that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth? [9] And to some who trusted in themselves as just, and despised others, he spoke also this parable: [10] Two men went up into the temple to pray: the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

[11] The Pharisee standing, prayed thus with himself: O God, I give thee thanks that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, as also is this publican. [12] I fast twice in a week: I give tithes of all that I possess. [13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner. [14] I say to you, this man went down into his house justified rather than the other: because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled: and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.

The question is "But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?" not "will He find you attending latin mass?" It is laughable in this day that fools seek to prolong their stay in this life unlike saints who cared not for their lives nor their earthly spoils but rather sought their heavenly home.

Insane,

Can we at least accept that masks can reduce the spread or the viral load and thus prevent one, who may be carrying the China flu, from passing it on to another?

Should we welcome death sooner rather than later? Who are YOU to decide what my fate should or anyone else whom this wicked virus may take. What would it do to the families?

No, I say you are selfish and prideful. The mask is not a sin. Disobeying the legitimate authority of the pastor (bishop) and his parish priest, is.

Insane, is right.

Vox Cantoris said...

Insane,

Do you think the Holy Sacrifice is "hocus pocus?" Yes, I know the origin of that slur.

Do you think the Holy Eucharist in either form is a talisman?

Because if you think that my spittle on the chalice can't infect you because if is the Precious Blood, then you are quote foolish. If you don't think that saliva from one to another can cause infection from a priest's finger, then you are a fool. But that is getting into a deeper rabbit hole which we are not going to go down.

The Lord asked you to have charity.

Think of the mask for an hour at that.

Losing the Mass because of bishops who would love the opportunity to wipe it out is not worth the price for your libertarian stratagem.

insane said...

My most sincere apologies to thee, Vox. Until I read your response I had never seen, heard or even so much as thought that someone, anyone might consume the Precious Blood from a chalice whilst filtering it through a mask lest they should infect the next mask wearing communicant. Thank you for educating me on this, I feel smart now. I doubt that your priest would allow pictures, perhaps you could slip a selfie next time.
You asked if I thought the Eucharist was a talisman which implies magic, to that I rely no not a talisman but the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord, Savior, Redeemer and King Jesus Christ, from which it has Divine Authority. As we believe in a living God so to then is the Real Presence living.

Sorry, I can't believe you would bow to Moloch along with the other wimps. Where's your fighting spirit?
This is just the beginning of a long tedious systematic, unlawful, unnecessary trick to cull the herd and bring us to our knees. If you want to comply with dictatorial abuse so be it.
Please allow the rest of us to refuse sickening muzzles and have our Mass go underground. If martyrdom is in our future we will know heaven awaits us.
God will reward us. You are choosing the worldly path of obeying evil oppressors who unfortunately have largely won the first round.

Insane. You’re being ridiculous and just really stupid and living up to your name.

Please; Go read another blog. No more commentary from you.

Vox Cantoris said...

Sienna, you do not have a right to jeopardize the Mass from those who would love to shut it down. You’re a selfish fool desiring an underground Mass while others lose because of your own pride.

You’re also a calumniating idiot misrepresenting my point and damn abusive.

Get off my blog.

You and Insane are not welcome in this comment box. My tolerance od this garbage is spent.

Begone!

Hey Vox, you're insane for falling the stupidity of the masks. Do some research and due diligence. I can't believe you are so dumb.

While I totally disagree with Vox on masks, I would never come onto his blog as a guest and insult him. That type of attack convinces no one. All masks are designed for different purposes and can offer protection when used properly. Unfortunately, that has not happened with Covid. Improper mask wearing can cause other health issues which the authorities have omitted. A seperate issue involves the directive by “bishops” to wear masks in their churches. My gut tell me that it is not appropriate to wear a mask at Mass. If the health crisis is that dire, then no one should be out anywhere. The fact that liquor stores are open shows me that this pandemic is overblown. But if your bishop tells you the rules for his church, then you have little choice. Fortunately, I am a sedevacantist and I no longer step into any church that belongs to apostate bishops and their apostate pope. But if you call that man Pope, then mask up if you want his sacraments. He is your supposed shepherd and supposedly has authority from Christ Himself to teach, govern, and sanctify what most of you believe is Holy Mother Church.

Tom,

As always, I thank you for your respect and courtesy and faithful witness and your logic. I don't always agree with you either, but you, my Catholic brother, are always welcomed here.

Thank you David. Your blog has taught me how fortunate I am where I live. It seems Canada is extremely more hostile to Catholicism than I imagined. Keep up the good fight. We must all be prepared for the persecutions to come.
