Pope Francis sets his sites on Congregation of Divine Worship - is this the undermining of Cardinal Sarah?

If you needed more indication that the Reform of the Reform is dead, then this is it. The Novus Ordo liturgy is irreformable. There is no saving it. Get out of it and get to the traditional liturgy only or as often as you can. It is what you will need to strengthen you for this storm we are in. It cannot convert, it cannot convict.

Cardinals Burke, Ranjith, Bagnasco, Pell are out. This is a wholesale change and not with recent precedent. Usually, one or two members are changed at a time providing continuity. Not this time. Every single member has been replaced and Cardinal Sarah has been isolated.

Worse, the Bugnini syocophant, Piero Marini is back.

So what does this mean?

It means that you need to do everything you can to get out of the Novus Ordo Mass and more importantly if you cannot, the novus ordo mentality - novus ordo, the New Order! You need to get to the traditional Mass and away from these devils.

Priests, you must learn the traditional liturgy and prepare to transition to it. They will force upon you something that you cannot accept. It has been prophesied by many mystics and we are now living it.

It is the official and formal death of the Reform of the Reform. It is a repudiation of everything Joseph Ratzinger cared about and attempted to reform. Let him enjoy now the fruits of his horrible renunciation of the papacy. He will suffer with this. Good. Let him repent of his decision and abandoning his flock, abandoning his children to the wolves.

It means that this Pope is planning something with the Mass and he needs his people to carry it out. It is also curious that it comes immediately before his trip to Lund to praise the heresiarch Martin Luther.

It also means, in my view, a stealth attack on the traditional Mass through some kind of "reform" or an outright and open attack on Summorum Pontificum.

Let them try because to quote Michael Moore, "it will be the biggest "blank you" in the history of the papacy!

POPE OVERHAULS CARDINAL SARAH’S DEPARTMENT
28 October 2016 | by Christopher Lamb

Pope Francis today appointed a raft of new members to Cardinal Robert Sarah’s liturgy department, choosing a series of pastoral moderates to replace more conservative-minded figures.

The move will be read as the Pope’s attempt to rein in the cardinal who has consistently called for priests to celebrate Mass facing East, something the Pope reprimanded him for earlier this year.

Others named as members, who will effectively oversee Cardinal Sarah’s work and vote on decisions, include Cardinal Pietro Parolin (Vatican Secretary of State) and New Zealand Cardinal John Dew.

Cardinal Sarah, from Guinea, has consistently called for priests to turn their backs on the congregation while celebrating Mass (Really, how long to we need to put up with these derelict Catholic writers, it's time to drain the swamp. Vox) and has struck a very different tone to the Pope’s merciful approach to families in difficult circumstances. Francis this week spoke at the St John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in place of the cardinal, where he stressed the importance of priests accompanying families struggling to live up to the
Church’s teaching on family life.

The complete list of department members is as follows:

Rainer Maria Woelki
John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan
Pietro Parolin
Gérald Cyprien Lacroix
Philippe Nakellentuba Ouédraogo
John Atcherley Dew
Ricardo Blázquez Pérez
Arlindo Gomes Furtado
Gianfranco Ravasi
Beniamino Stella
Dominic Jala
Domenico Sorrentino
Denis James Hart
Piero Marini
Bernard-Nicolas Aubertin
Romulo G. Valles
Lorenzo Voltolini Esti
Arthur Joseph Serratelli
Claudio Maniago
Bernt Ivar Eidsvig
Miguel Ángel D'Annibale
José Manuel Garcia Cordeiro
Charles Morerod

Benny Mario Travas
John Bosco Chang Shin-Ho

In answer to your question, not only Cardinal Sarah but Cardinal Burke too.

With so many public admonishments thrown at Cards. Sarah & Burke by PF, the time is now opportune when he is away in Lund for them to hold a press conference to denounce PF for what he is - an Apostate - & call for his immediate removal. The members of the Curia who secretly support the SSPX should now come forward & openly support this necessary undertaking. It will have to be done to keep the CC faithful to the teachings of Christ, to restore what has been taken away & to keep Papal Infallibility intact. Best to get it over & finished with quickly & send him back to an Argentinian monastery.

Ana, that sure would be nice to see, but we know nothing even remotely like that will ever, ever happen.

THE MESSAGE OF OUR LADY OF AKITA
The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. Our sweet Jesus protect C Burke,C Sarah & your Holy ones fighting this battle by the power of your Holy name.

Believers - out, heretics "forward" full speed.

The time to speak out against Bergoglio's consistent denial of the Catholic faith was at the first signs of it, which means - as soon as he became pope. The insistence on not seeing what was right in front of us, this sanctimonious refusal to judge evil and deceit, stubborn denial of reality (AL is a beautiful document, it need to be read within Tradition) - it brings forth fruit. Now Cardinals, why have you allowed this to be unleashed upon your sheep?
Don't you know that wicked people always use the kindness of others to harm them, and they do so without remorse? Have you forgotten that we are all born sinners, and that looking only for the good in others while choosing blindness to the bad is not loving or pastoral?

There are millions of Catholics, myself included, who worship in the Byzantine rites of the Catholic Church. At every single "Mass" the priest "turns his back on the congregation."

What would the writer say to the millions of Orthodox?

Is he unaware that there are Protestants who also worship in that manner?

There are some Lutherans and Anglicans whose ministers "turn their backs on the congregation" for parts of their service.

ST. PIUS V, JULY 19, 1570

"By this our decree, to be valid IN PERPETUITY, we determine and order that NEVER shall anything be added to, omitted from, or changed in this Missal. . .At no time in the future can a priest, whether secular or order priest, ever be forced to use any other way of saying Mass. And so as to preclude once and for all any scruples of conscience and fear of ecclesiastical penalties and censures, we herewith declare that it is in virtue of our Apostolic Authority that we decree and determine that this our present order and decree is to last in PERPETUITY and can never be legally revoked or amended at a future date. . . And if anyone would nevertheless ever dare to attempt any action contrary to this order of ours, given for all times, let him know that he has incurred the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul."

Dear Anonymous @ 1:07, how does the novus ordo "extraordinary form" or, "traditional mass" measure up to your quote?

Yes, of course. Cardinal stands in the way of Pope Francis completing the Protestantization of the Catholic Church begun at Vatican II. I wouldn't surprised if he was "re-deployed" far from Rome.

I wonder whether God will give us a sign of His displeasure with all of this or just let it continue until there is only a Catholic remnant. If it is the latter the end near at hand.

"..turning their backs on the congregation" - what is not said to tnose who are offended by the priest with his back to them is - WHO is he facing when offering the sacrifice of the Mass? WHO is supposed to be the center of our prayers? Is it not Jesus Christ?? Is it not Christ..who made the ultimate sacrifice for each of us whom we honor and give thanks to in attendin Mass..not the priest??

May God have mercy..Christ have mercy! These revelations made by all those who write and inform us simple followers of Christ and seek His truth are so hard to fully comprehend that we are truly in the times that we were warned of..through scripture and the messages given by our Blessed Mother. I for one am so grateful to all of you who bring us the true events transpiring in Rome that we would never have a clue about. God bless each of you and keep up the good fight!

Jesus I trust in you!

I was not introduced to the Tridentine Mass until a couple of years ago. We were Navy, and stationed in Virginia. I just happen to seek out Mass at a Parish of FSSP one weekend after attending shall we say, a less than reverent Parish and Priest. My whole life had been the Novus Ordo. To understate the matter, I was completely blown away by the Priests of FSSP and the Traditional Mass in Latin etc. Since this time, the Navy has moved us and my wife and I have cried tears of sorrow as we are back to the Novus Ordo and have put our kids in a new Catholic school of which the Diocese requires membership if you want affordable tuition rates. I leave many Masses frankly in anger and tears. To see the laxity of the Priests, the lack of zeal/reverence, the lackadaisical approach of so many of our Parishioners...even the seemingly active ones, who seem to show practically zero knowledge of the history of our Faith. Trading the Traditional Mass for the Novus Ordo is like trading filet mingon for applesauce. I see comments on various Catholic websites talking high tide about it's all about the orientation of the hearts of the people...and that the form doesn't matter. Hogwash! In any endeavor that these people care about, let me substitute fluff and see if they become champions or Saints. I am treading on dangerous ground, but Pope Francis does not appear to me to be orthodox or even willing to support alternate views of progressive Catholicism. He frankly has made it harder to gain a Traditional inch. Christ is always with the Church....perhaps we in orthodoxy require the crucible. Lord have mercy.
