Bergoglio denounces true ecumenism - praises the heretic Luther! Will he be the next canonised?

Fairies invade Vatican!

Bergoglio has, with his own words, condemned himself and set himself against his predecessors.

"It is not right to convince someone of your faith," says this Bergoglio.

"Go therefore and teach all nations," said Jesus Christ.

Who do you choose?

Are you a Christian or a Papolater?

In an address yesterday, the 99th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, Bergoglio stated that proselytism is "venom" and a "threat to Christian unity."

How illogical can he be? He must repent of this error.

What a betrayer of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His cry, "that they all be one." One in Him! One in His Church. Lutherans as individuals must come home, along with Anglicans, Presbyterians, Evangelicals, Eastern Orthodox. How can they come home when Popes preach to them to stay where they are? Why would the Orthodox desire union with Rome when it is overseen by a cabal of malefactors and heretics!

It is only through proselytism, with clarity and charity, that we will achieve "Christian unity."

Martin Luther has led millions of souls to Hell. There is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church. Should God choose to save those who are not Catholic is up to Him and beyond our knowledge of certainly. What we do know is that it is only by being baptised and in the bosom of the Catholic Church, can we be saved. Vatican II did not change this, notwithstanding its ambiguity and pastoral overtures.

This Bergoglio would rather see Lutherans continue on their path of error following a heretic priest in his blasphemy than come home to the One True Church.

The time has long since passed for a denouncement of this Pope.

What a disgusting and sickening display, a statue of Martin Luther together with the Bishop of Rome. A heretic. A blasphemer. A fornicator who led millions of souls in Hell.

As Brian wonders in the combox, will he dare to lift the excommunication of Luther?

God help us all.

(ANSA) - Vatican City, October 13 - Pope Francis told a group of mostly Lutheran pilgrims on Thursday that proselytism was a potential threat to Christian unity.
"The last thing you must do is 'to say, to convince'. It's not right to convince someone of your faith," he said.
"Proselytism is the strongest venom against the path of ecumenism".
The pope was speaking to around 1,000 pilgrims in the Vatican - most of them German Lutherans - who are in Rome as part of ecumenical preparations for the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Lutheran reformation.
"The Apostle Paul tells us that, by virtue of our baptism, we all form the one Body of Christ," the pope said.
"The different members, in fact, are one body. This is why we belong to each other and when one suffers, all suffer, when one rejoices, all rejoice. Let us continue with confidence on our ecumenical journey, because we know that, beyond the many open questions that still separate us, we are already united.
What unites us is much more than what divides us".

So when Christ said "Go forth and teach all Nations"he was encouraging the Apostles to spread venom .No wonder Francis is enamoured with Luther ,he has so much in common with him.Did luther not call God a scoundrel, and claim Christ was a womaniser. They must have taught lutheranism at his seminary. http://www.davidlgray.info/blog/2013/09/500-years-of-protestantism-the-33-most-ridiculous-things-martin-luther-ever-wrote/ http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2016/06/socci-pope-bergoglio-jesus-plays-fool.html

In order to convince people of the Truth ,you have to know it.Everything this man says contradicts the Word of God as revealed by Jesus Christ. If the first Christians had practised what Francis preaches there would be no Catholic Church,no Vatican ,no Pope.He has stated he does not believe in a Catholic God,somebody please explain how this man was elected as head of the Catholic Church. It's becoming more and more obvious every day he despises those who take their Faith seriously.

Time for Catholics to stand and be counted. Our Lord is sifting the believers from the unbelievers by allowing the "operation of error" which Holy Scripture has warned us about. Catholic doctrine screams at us that Bergoglio is an anti-pope; a false pope; an heretical disciple of satan! His filthy church is not the Catholic Church! Aiders, abettors and defenders of heretics will burn in hell alongside those they abet. Forget about silly petitions. Forget bleating daily about somebody needing to do something. Listen to St. Paul - LET THEM BE ANATHEMA! Now we must choose - Christ, or belial? Stand up, or suffer the consequences! We will be judged individually. Shake the filthy novus ordo dust from your shoes, or die with them. The choice is yours!

"Lutherans as individuals must come home, along with Anglicans, Presbyterians, Evangelicals, Eastern Orthodox."

When it comes to Eastern Orthodox, while I am against Balamand agreement and think individuals have a right to convert (I actually contravened that agreement twice, 2006 W E, 2009 E W), bishops also have a duty and right to convert along with their flocks.

When it comes to Protestants, there are no orders (usually), so if any pastor converts with "his flock", he must be replaced or ordained (unless unsuitable for ordination, in which case simply replaced).

What an extraordinary picture of the Bishop of Rome et al. holding scarves - what does this mean? Is it some hidden code or another addition to the Novus Ordo? Might I be on the right track in thinking that the yellow scarf draped around the hideous statue in the second pic. has something to do with the Scarf Symbology? Please, someone, enlighten me and us all!

In 1965, Pope Paul turned down a request, from Lutheran authorities, to lift the excummnication, on Luther. I predict that Francis will lift this excommunicatioin, probaby next year, on the five hundreth anniversary, of the Deformation. Maximum effect (for the publicity loving Modernist clown) that way. And the bishops wil do nothing.

Pope Francis is contradicting Christ which makes him a heretic.

I have also read there is every likelihood of PF lifting Luther's excommunication & also that he intends to canonise him at some future date. Will such gestures (as that's what they are) be the catalyst for the members of the Hierarchy to denounce PF & his heretical teaching & have him removed from the Seat of Peter? Only time will tell.

For this Pope, who loathes Catholicism, the years from Trent (1546-1563) to Vatican II (1962-1965) must be seen as a four century train wreck. All the decrees and canons from Trent were a terrible mistake. Perhaps Vatican II should have taken place instead of Trent. Was it wrong for St. Paul to take the gospel to the gentiles? Was it wrong for St. Peter to take the good news to his fellow sons and daughters of the Book? At what point, in the history, of the Church, did it become a poisonous act, to follow the great commission, of our LORD? I suspect that a document abrogating the bull "Decet Romanum Pontificum", of January 3, 1521, is already in the works. This unique papal denigration of historical Catholicism is heating up even more. Why stop. Where is the opposition, outside of some courageous, largely, lay bloggers? Jorge, philosophically and theologically is a son of the likes of Loisy and Tyrell. Their faith destroying Modernist operating system is what fuels Bergoglio, and all his dissident gate keepers, worldwide. I cannot look at Jorge, through Catholic lenses. It does not work. It is exceedingly painful. I start getting something akin to motion sickness. Now, what actions/statements, defending the faith, should we expect from those catatonic milquetoasts popularly known as bishops? Silence........or perhaps some barely audible whispers of concern. "The floor of hell is covered with the skulls of bishops." (Athanasius or was it Chrysostom?) There are a lot more episcopal skulls on the way. A two lane road, will be needed to cope with the traffic jam.

Brian, "catatonic milquetoasts". hehe, well done, that describes most of them.
I am almost at the point where I will not be shocked by anything he does. Almost. The last three years have been an exercise in desensitization. I am thoroughly addicted to the latest blog "news" each night, and realize there are two primary motivations for this.
1. It is comraderie with my fellow sufferers. Misery does indeed love company and sometimes, needs it.
2. I have hoped in vain for him to be called out by bishops/Cardinals, but realized fully, about two months ago, it really isn't going to happen. No matter what he says or does. These men have their reward and are happy with it.

Scarves - I have no idea what the Vatican fashoin consultant had in mind, but I immediately recalled the beautiful painting by Raphael of Jesus handing to Peter the keys of the Kingdom. Peter's depicted wearing just these two colors...

Luther HATED the pope! And he advised others to 'wash hands in the blood of bishops'. He started a civil war in which about a quarter million died. He was an apostate priest who broke his vows, married, and committed schism. He did excommunicated! Absolutely nothing to celebrate here. And which Lutherans are we making pretty with? The pro-abortion ones? The pro-sodomite ones? The lady bishop ones?

What is this pope?

Eirene said...

Thanks JayBee - but wasn't it Perugino's painting? And what is the significance of the Scarves?! This is playing with my mind and surely someone can further enlighten me? Does it mean they (the participants) are all Peter?! Heaven forbid!

To Pope Francis:

I am a proselyte. I am glad to be a proselyte. My wife is a proselyte. My three adult children are also proselytes. We are all glad to be proselytes.

All of us were proselytized. All of us are grateful to God that He sent proselytizers into our lives. I guess you could say that we are glad they defied your very words. Had they not, we would all have been left in the dark of Protestantism. And, Pope Francis; It is dark in Protestantism.

As far as we are concerned, proselytism is where its at, and we fully intend to proselytize others.

You can do as you choose, but I sincerely hope Catholics who know my friends and family members ignore your teaching against proselytism.

In fact, at this point, I must say the thought that a Lutheran or an Anglican might proselytize you successfully, so you stepped down from the Seat of Peter and thereby ceased leading people away from the Catholic faith is an attractive thought. Instead, I will pray that Catholics who know you are able to proselytize you to the Catholic faith.

For that is infinitely better for you and for the Church.

May God bless you in this way. May God richly bless you in this way. May God save your soul.

Am I being precious in bringing up the SCARVES again? Here is a picture of the Vicar of Christ in a formal setting attached to a Scarf Line of Blue and Yellow Scarves and NO ONE can tell me the significance of (a) the Scarves and (b) the picture. Were the "enscarfed" about to do a ceremonial jig, weaving under and over the scarves in a stately arabesque, culminating in the adornment of Martin Luther's statute with all the scarves - a kind of " at thy feet ....." gesture? This is the last Scarf Elucidation Appeal I shall make, folks
so please help!

To give context "The Church does not engage in proselytism." Sound familiar? Well that was from Pope Benedict XVI who said: "The Church does not engage in proselytism. Instead, she grows by "attraction"- just as Christ “draws all to himself” by the power of his love, culminating in the sacrifice of the Cross, so the Church fulfills her mission to the extent that, in union with Christ, she accomplishes every one of her works in spiritual and practical imitation of the love of her Lord." -

When the Church stops discussing what she does or does not do and starts doing what needs to be done. i.e. get rid of the Bishop of Rome, then we might all be able to pick our heads up off the ground and re-commence a meaningful spiritual life. Until then, the inmates are in charge of the asylum!

Maybe the Scarves are for wiping the mouth after the Choccy Martin has been shared and consumed by those celebrating his betrayal!? Blue for Boys and Yellow for Girls!

Rejoice everyone! The Remnant Newspaper has provided the answer to the Scarves Mystery! Mind you, the vid is in German but the accompanying article by Chris Ferrara is brilliant!
And by the way, the whole audience is ENSWATHED with the Scarves! What a Pope of Surprises is the Bishop of Rome!

Burgandy and gold are the official colours of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Order of the Jesuits. The Jesuit order played an important role in the Counter-Reformation. The ‘White Pope’ and the ‘Black Pope’ are both Jesuits!

Michael Dowd said...

"The ‘White Pope’ and the ‘Black Pope’ are both Jesuits!"

I have been under the impression that Jesuits make a promise never to accept the office Pope. This seems to correspond with their special vow--only taken by a few of them for unknown reasons--that they will serve the Pope. Obviously, you cannot serve the Pope if you are the Pope. Conclusion: Something has gone terribly wrong with the Jesuit order.

Nice, but not whole story.

This was said well before 2005, and by Russian Orthodox, who, obviously, used this as a reason for not opposing Communism or Atheism.

I was received into the Church in 1988. I heard above from a Russian Orthodox lady, formerly Catholic, whom I was talking to well before this.
