Fr. Thomas J. Rosica, CSB, condemns Catholic politicians who do not understand "moral teaching of the Church!"

Vatican English language spokesman and Consultor to the Pontifical Council on Social Communications and Executive Producer of Canada's Salt + Light, Your Catholic Channel of Hope has recently come down hard on Catholic politicians who do not understand the "moral teaching of the Church."

CBC: "...this message, (Laudato si) is going to be deeply unsettling to Republican politicians."

Fr. Rosica: "As it should be Heather, it should be very unsettling to the Santorum's and the Bush's and the Baynor's and the others who would like to use this not for concern for ecology and the environment (but) for political gain. Those who claim to be Catholic in the political world sometimes don't have any understanding of the moral teaching of the Church and the moral teaching of Popes"

Nancy Pelosi, Catholic speaks on abortion, ignores "the Church and the moral teaching of Popes."

Catholic Ted Kennedy (Kyrie eleison) and the dogma of abortion, ignores "the Church and the moral teaching of Popes."

Catholic Joe Biden on the matter of abortion, contraception and more ignores "the Church and the moral teaching of Popes."

In Canada, Justin Trudeau a Catholic bans all candidates from taking a Pro-Life position and ignores "the Church and the moral teaching of Popes."

Thomas Mulcair, a Catholic and leader of the socialist NDP states that no "anti-abortion" candidates may run for the Party in defiance of "the Church and the moral teaching of Popes."

I could go on.

Name your favourite Catholic politician who lacks "any understanding of the moral teaching of the Church and the moral teaching of Popes" in the combox.

Oh, I am not a climate change denier, I just deny that it has anything to do with man but a normal part of the heating and cooling of the Earth. After all, there's a reason for fossils of ferns in Greenland.

Not accepting junk science and globalist and Marxist environmental fascism is not a sin.

Not speaking out against abortion when given the opportunity is.

Vox, we have so, so many!!! Thomas Mulcair for starters. Justin Trudeau.... and the legion of "Catholics" that are getting a silent pass by those who endlessly drone on about "a dialogue of encounter".... we have been having this "dialogue" and it is a delusion.

To the contrary, St. Thomas More said that dialogue exists where two friends of the light yield to the light and only the light. There can be no dialogue with an abortionist as an abortionist; nor with a homosexual as a homosexual. Charity demands - yes, we meet this sinner, where he or she is - but we challenge them. The Holy Spirit does the rest.

For a Catholic priest to so misinterpret Catholic teaching, as he did on that video is mind boggling! Rejecting science has nothing to do with Faith or Morals. For thousands of years most of humanity, including Christians, believed the earth was flat. Were those Christians not understanding the Church and the moral teachings of the Popes? Logically, according to Fr. Rosica, they were. If not, then we turn "faith" into an evolutionary process - which leads us right back to Modernism.

Hmmm..."Catholic" politicians that have displayed a lack of understanding or simply didn't care about Church teachings:

1. Pierre Trudeau, Liberal, legalized abortion and introduced no fault divorce in Canada

2. Jean Chretien, Liberal, joked 'my wife is too old to have an abortion' when asked about his position.

3. Dalton McGuinty, Liberal introduced gay student clubs in publicly funded Catholic schools in Ontario

4. How about the Ontario Catholic Teachers Union thugs who march in gay pride parades, campaign for NDP candidates, don't go to Mass regularly.

Rev. Rosica is embarrassing himself again. He seems to be dealing with a lot of inner anger; lashing out at people unprovoked.

I think you nailed it here, Vox. Rosica's selective outrage.

How about pretty much every Liberal candidate in the upcoming election who is Catholic?

This priest talks like a politician.

ROFLOL do you realize how funny that quote is from Fr. Thomas Rosica of all people?!?

"Those who claim to be Catholic in the political world sometimes don't have any understanding of the moral teaching of the Church and the moral teaching of Popes" The irony! The irony!
God bless you. Thanks for the laugh. Susan Fox www.christsfaithfulwitness.com

For modern Catholics, there is only one ecumenical council of importance: Vatican II. Everything prior to the Great Council has no significance and is to be disregarded.

And now they consider there is only one source of Catholic social doctrine: Laudato si. Everything else has no significance etc.

Is Fr.Roscia offering his services to world politicians as a 'moral' consultant? True Catholics take heart, rosica not only accuses Catholics of not understanding anything..now he's going for world leaders who need his 'understandings'. When will the scales fall from his eyes?
