Perhaps the detractors of LifeSiteNews might want to offer a little apology. It seems that they were ripped apart on social media for daring to suggest that Bergoglio actually said what he did.
Well, now it is confirmed from the Vatican News Service and from l'Osservatore Romano
Expressing its appreciation for the text processed by the bishops, the Pontiff stressed that it manifests in its fulness the meaning of chapter viii of the Apostolic exhortation — what is "accompany, discerning and integrating fragility» — making it clear that" there are no other interpretations. " The bishops, he assured the Pope, ' will do very well, especially for the "pastoral charity" which crosses it entirely.

Still think it is possible to defend this man in the Chair of Peter?
If, as Ann Barnhardt states, "Bergoglio is now openly discussed as probably being an antipope within the Curia, but they are all so terrified of him due to their career mentalities, that they all agree that there "nothing we can do" and that "we just have to wait for him to die," -- if her information is accurate, then there will be hell to pay for those in the hierarchy who continue to stand by while this insanity continues. Literally, Hell!

Bishops, Cardinals, you had a pair once, I think; do you remember where you put them?

My fidelity has been a joke!

Karl, Your "fidelity" to Christ and His Church is never a "joke!" "Put not your trust in princes."
You were born for this!
Your fidelity will bring you eternal life. Not so for these heretics.
There must be an organized effort of the laity to FLOOD all their bishops with letters imploring their bishops to unite in calling for Francis to either:
1. Denounce his heresies or
2. Abdicate
AND that if Francis fails to do so, Francis MUST be declared a FORMAL Heretic by a council and removed.
The flock is being scattered and slaughtered.
EVERY time the revolutionaries have risen up it has been the laity that initially drove the resistance.
We in the laity MUST push hard enough that at least enough of the princes of the Church see no choice but to do their duty.
We need to pray fervently that God raises up brave and holy defenders to drive and organized a resistance.
If this doesn't finally cause an outcry, nothing will.
Paging Mark Thomas..... please spin this confirmation.
What has been rather apparent is now conclusively obvious. The bishops and cardinals are careerists and what is demanded of them in this evil age is complete surrender to Christ, whereby one is willing to risk ALL for Jesus Christ. Nothing, absolutely nothing, should come before defending the Truth of the Faith. We do not have such leaders. Indeed they are careerists. Ann B. is correct. We have an antipope on the throne of Peter, and his goal--his, oh so obvious goal-- is to destroy the Catholic Faith. He is on that evil trajectory as anyone can plainly see. The bishops and the cardinals are not going to say this out loud because they are putting other things before Christ. It is not hard to see at all.
Each person, man, woman child, priest, bishop pope is going to have to answer the question within the core of his soul, 'Who am I serving?' Each of us will be asked that question, and standing for Christ and His true Church will cost. Wake up people. The time for discussing is over.
The saddest part of all this betrayal is that those we once thought of as our would-be rescuers are actually part & parcel of this Modernist scheme & cover-up. PF has silenced, by whatever means, the Cardinals who wrote that letter towards the end of the Synod on the Family, the 500 priests who wrote an open letter to him, Cardinal Sarah & now the 45 academics who wrote requesting clarification of AL. No-one it seems can criticise even though we were asked to make known our opinions at the outset of this Pontificate. I cannot count the number of letters & emails I've sent to my Bishop, other Bishops, Nuncio, Cardinal Burke & PF not to mention all the Petitions that we were asked to sign on the internet, all to no avail.
It might be a good idea if the SSPX were to confront him openly on all these heresies & blasphemies instead of quietly waiting in the wings to see which way the wind is blowing. They say they are not going to cave in, so what have they to lose? It would also send a strong signal that they are not for turning & will not be diverted from upholding Tradition which is the main reason for their ministry.
Dear girls, you are dreaming. This is the time to model ourselves after Our Lady, not Joan d'Arc. Remember what happened to her? You will only get burned too if you continue in your fantasy. As ever, the hierarchy has all the power. And for them, always, always, banding together is a "cardinal" rule.
Writing letters, signing petitions etc., is as effective as a Jew petitioning Hitler to stop being a nazi. It signals a refusal to face the facts.
For the past 3 years, i have supported the silence of good Cardinals, Bishop and priests knowing they are silently praying for these dark days under C Jorge to come to an end, but now its time for them to take action and defend the one true faith established by Christ. Jesus said you are either for me or against me. Those who remain silent during C Jorge's artificial papacy will be held accountable.
Looks like it's every man for himself now, folks! Repent, pray and reach out in faith and hope to the Almighty God. He alone knows all things and is in charge. And if anyone comments "Did he REALLY say
that . . ." or "He didn't REALLY say that . . ." - I hope a lightning bolt strikes him!
It would be wonderful if Catholics who feel this way started a protest by standing in the vestibule of their Church. People will wonder and ask and possibly join. The message would get through in just a couple of Sundays.
Perhaps the Pope believes that all religions are converging to new understanding of being absorbed in the Spirit of Christ with each person choosing his own morality as his conscience dictates. This is what the Spirit of Vatican II means. If allowed to continue it also means the end of the Catholic Church as we know it. Vatican II was diabolical. Who has eyes to see, let him see.
Ann Barnhardt writes with such clarity and her writings are worth their weight in gold as I said on aka catholic.
Dan--I agree with your sentiment but protesting like that would get you thrown out, ticketed and probably sued. And the other Novus Ordo parishioners would probably consider you crazy. If I were to do something like this it would be focused directly and only on the Bishop.
Michael "Spirit of Christ?" don't you think PF would call it "Spirit of Accompaniment?"
Dan "Spirit of Christ". This is a Vatican II idea about the evolving convergence of all religions into the Spirit of Christ. This is the entire point of ecumenism. It is a Teilhard de Chardin kind of thinking. This why proselytizing is out.
I came to same conclusion months ago. I know through platonism that there is absolute truth, gnostics like Bergoglio can babel all they want on relativism and globalism, their new order will fail, the people, us prolies, we will have our day. shame catholicism as it now exists has abandoned absolute truth. Weve all been betrayed.
St. Paul:
"Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?" (2 Corinthians 6:14-15)
Just for confirmation @edwardpentin
Vatican Confirms: Pope Francis’ letter to Argentine bishops on Amoris Laetitia is authentic
Necessary to expose & depose immediately. Cardinals have been given the excuse they wanted - no excuses will be tolerated now.
I'm waiting to see how "Fr. Z" spins this one. He'll try to defend Pope Francis somehow, no doubt. Mark Thomas is probably waiting to see how "Fr. Z" responds as well, which is why he's not commented yet here on this latest scandal.

When Terry Schiavo was being exterminated by the state of Florida, it reached a point where I knew I had to do something. I don't live in Florida, I live in New England, but I did consider driving there.
Instead, I made a sign on a big poster that I could carry. I went to our closest urban Catholic church, where I knew I would be seen by many people, and I held my poster in front of me and walked up and down in front of the church showing it to anyone who drove or walked by.
My poster said TERRI SCHIAVO - FIRST AMERICAN VICTIM OF NAZISM ON AMERICAN SOIL and underneath it it said "I thirst".
When the pastor of the church happened to come by with a group of local students, he said he thought the reference to Nazi was "too harsh". I said nothing. I do not think it was too harsh, it was not harsh enough for the reality that Terry Schiavo was being murdered at that exact moment.
The point is, there are times one must do something. It may not result in anything at all. It may result in criticisms, or people shaking their heads, as some in my family did, but I didn't care. When I stand before the judgment seat of God, I hope that He will remember my little stand. If it did nothing else, it made ME feel better to have done it.
So write to your Bishop, Cardinals, etc. We have the duty and the right to be heard and to express ourselves. We pray, knowing that God will see us, hear us, and He may intervene. If being like Our Lady means silently accepting heresy and our church being dismantled by rogues and weaklings, then I guess I am nothing like Our Lady. I am a middle-aged grandmother who recognizes there are times to be heard and to fight for what you believe in.
Good people, people of God,
we will not be effective, if we don't start talking about sex.
Bergoglio will not listen to our cries and concerns, because he is absolutely certain he is guided by the Holy Spirit.
The way he thinks is this:
The world is not what it used to be when Jesus walked the earth - we have scientific discoveries now. Sex is necessary to avoid stress and frustration. Sexual frustration leads to stunted growth, violence and crime.
We have been shown by scientists (such as zoologist Kinsey) that we have sexual needs and rights from birth. The way to a compassionate society and Church is therefore teaching sex to the young, celebrating sex in the streets, not obsessing about abortion (it is a solution to consequences of lacking education and lacking contraception, anyway we have overpopulation to consider as well).
We must accept the science of zoologists and the UN human rights goals, and we must brake the connection of sex with marriage, (It is for this reason that Bergoglio advised young people who conceived children and wanted to receive the Sacrament of marriage to go home and come only in a couple of years, for marriage must be for the right reason - meaning that he ENCOURAGED them to continue with fornication and possibly conception of more children via fornication, children potentially raised without a father).
The man Bergoglio is absolutely certain that he is pushing forward a more advanced humanity, one permitting and encouraging all manner of genital pleasures, and one equating marriage with a Hollywood-style romance. Marriage has little to do with procreation, and ends when love (meaning lust and pleasure) ends.
We must dismantle this ignorant view of humanity, worthy of a Marxist-college indoctrinated boy, and we must teach Bergoglio the wisdom of the Catholic Church.
He will not listen to us, because we talk about rules. And we talk about rules NOT because we love rules, but because we love God, the One who in His wisdom gave them to us.
We must explain to Bergoglio, why he is mistaken, and we must show him, what are the logical consequences of his stupidity.
Pride parades and dry humping in streets, in front of children by sexual perverts, men in girls' washrooms. prohibition on words "mother", "father", "boy", "girl", confiscation of children by the state due to parental "indoctrination with Christianity" - are all but a beginning.
Oh, I forgot broken families, suffering men. women and children - as "humble" Bergoglio demands that we reject Truth and accompany evil, in order to experience shades of grey.
Dorota, yes, to all you wrote.
Hmmm...if I remember correctly, isn't the red of a Cardinal's robe supposed to indicate their willingness to die for Christ?
Save Your people, O Lord, and bless Your inheritance. Grant victory to Your Church over Her enemies, and protect Your people by Your Cross.
Troparion, Tone 1, Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (and almost every Friday during the year with a few exceptions)
Indeed, yes to everything you wrote
Indeed, yes to everything you wrote
Bergoglio does not care. He has no capacity to learn from those of us who could teach him. Do not give him credit where he is due none.
Karl
Seriously, what are we faithful Catholics meant to do now? The Pope is openly, flagrantly ratifying sin and sacrilege of the Holy Eucharist. All doubt has been definitively, conclusively removed. How can we hope to defend the Church's moral and apostolic authority against those who charge that She has none? What am I meant to tell my Orthodox and Protestant acquaintances when they allege that the Church is not the One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church founded by Christ?
Francis is killing and leaving us out to dry. He is telling the world that the Catholic Church is just another sect with no greater or lesser moral authority than any of the other thousands of sects of Christianity. He is telling the world that we who believed otherwise were fools, morons.
This will be the catalyst for an enormous crisis of faith for thousands, possibly millions of people, and I am one of them. I don't know what to think now.
Zachary, read the post right above this one.
YOU, are to remain faithful. YOU are to hold on to the eternal Faith of your fathers. YOU are to pray, mortify yourself, protect yourself and your family, form close Catholic bonds, preach the truth, go to the traditional Latin Mass or the best modernist liturgy you can find. Go to the Sacraments.
What do you think our ancestors contended with when they had bad popes, heretical popes, antipopes, three popes? Well, one thing, most of them did not know, this is a different world and time.
YOU are to remain faithful! Not to a man. Do not be a papolater. You are to remain faithful to Christ and His Church.
Vox, great advice, but to me, the complicity and silence of bishops and cardinals makes it appear to be Francis the blind, leading the blind.
If we follow, we stumble and fall also.
Dan - spot on!
Vox,
Thank you for the wise counsel. We must really be nearing the end now with such unprecedented outrage. I suppose if there was ever a time when it was necessary that we steel ourselves, it's now.
http://www.fatima.org/essentials/opposed/frfuentes.asp Sister Lucy also said to me: "Father, we should not wait for an appeal to the world to come from Rome on the part of the Holy Father, to do penance. Nor should we wait for the call to penance to come from our bishops in our diocese, nor from the religious congregations. No! Our Lord has already very often used these means, and the world has not paid attention. That is why now, it is necessary for each one of us to begin to reform himself spiritually. Each person must not only save his own soul but also help to save all the souls that God has placed on our path."
"The devil does all in his power to distract us and to take away from us the love for prayer; we shall be saved together or we shall be damned together."
