At least the comparisons of WYD to Woodstock are put to rest. Clearly, we have entered techno rave territory.
Having listened to the whole set (27 mins), the reactions are telling: the bishops seem to be both fascinated and ignoring the spectacle, priests and nuns are not sure if they should be participating, young people seem delighted in trying to keep groove.
Obviously, Fr. Guilherme did not sneak his way into the program. For a sunrise service, this early morning intensity was deliberately intended to wake everyone up.
