I take it to mean this picnic was in front of the altar. What a horror. And we were taught that to even applaud in church was inappropriate, since you are praising man, not God, with God right there. This man does not have even simple faith in Christ. He seems to go out of his way to bring about these insults.

It's just a meal - it is no longer the re-presentation of The Holocaust on Calvary - and so there can be no legitimate objection to using the meal hall for a meal.
