Bishop Rick Stika does it again!

Vox Cantoris: No parents, you should not let your boys sit ...

Bishop Rick Stika of Knoxville has done it again. He has again proved that he is unfit for the Office of Bishop and was probably never fit for the priesthood in the first place. The man has a serious problem. Clearly, given the amount of time he spends on Twitter, he has a poor prayer life, probably does not say his Office and verifies that Knoxville clearly doesn't need a bishop!

He has blocked me on Twitter. Heck, he's probably blocked you. What this episcopal fraud doesn't realise, the same for Ivereigh and others, is that you can't really stop anyone from reading your Tweets unless you go private. All one needs to do is open a different web browser where one is not logged in and - voila!

Or, you can just wait 'til someone shares his latest idiocy. Such as this.

And if that is not enough, there is this heresy.

With Rick and his ilk, it's always those nasty TLM people that consistently get it wrong, eh?

Is Rick dividing Jesus? Did Our Lord Jesus Christ not say, "The Father and I are one?" If this is what Rick believes, this is heresy.

Let us look at paragraph 20 of the Encyclical Mediator Dei by Pope Piux XII.
20. This result is, in fact, achieved when Christ lives and thrives, as it were, in the hearts of men, and when men's hearts in turn are fashioned and expanded as though by Christ. This makes it possible for the sacred temple, where the Divine Majesty receives the acceptable worship which His law prescribes, to increase and prosper day by day in this land of exile of earth. Along with the Church, therefore, her Divine Founder is present at every liturgical function: Christ is present at the august sacrifice of the altar both in the person of His minister and above all under the eucharistic species. He is present in the sacraments, infusing into them the power which makes them ready instruments of sanctification. He is present, finally, in prayer of praise and petition we direct to God, as it is written: "Where there are two or three gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them."[22] The sacred liturgy is, consequently, the public worship which our Redeemer as Head of the Church renders to the Father, as well as the worship which the community of the faithful renders to its Founder, and through Him to the heavenly Father. It is, in short, the worship rendered by the Mystical Body of Christ in the entirety of its Head and members.
How about a look at the 1983 Catechism of the Catholic Church?
1325 "The Eucharist is the efficacious sign and sublime cause of that communion in the divine life and that unity of the People of God by which the Church is kept in being. It is the culmination both of God's action sanctifying the world in Christ and of the worship men offer to Christ and through him to the Father in the Holy Spirit."
We have this from the ancient Roman Missal which follows the Pater Noster and Libera nos:
He uncovers the chalice, genuflects, takes the Host and breaking it down the middle over the chalice says:
Per eúndem Dóminum nostrum Jesum Christum Fílium tuum, Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son our Lord,
He breaks off a Particle from the Host. Qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti Deus, Who is God living and reigning with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost,
And then, of course, the Nicene Creed:
"And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Life-giver, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and Son is worshipped and glorified."
I could go on, but I've made my point.

Add yours in the combox.

Bishop Rick, Happy Thanksgiving and get off of Twitter.

DOMINE, DOMINUS NOSTER DELIBERET ECCLESIAM A MALO

(Lord lord free our church from evil)

I am thankful to God for forcing these heretics and apostates to reveal their faithlessness so blatantly.

Thank You Lord Jesus Christ for making this entrenched evil so crystal clear in contrast to Your Immutable Truth. Now people who profess to be Catholics have no excuses to hide behind anymore.

You are all good in all things Oh Lord. And we love You for that Dear Jesus.

These heretics are a disgrace. You can't run a church this way. This is a joke. It is no surprise to see the church in freefall when this is the level of nincompoop we have running things. I would say how do these men get elected but I think by now we all know how and why.

This is soooo off one can't help but think that Frank is having his bishops speak "their" mind so he can seem at least sane. Not working.

Stop associating the Novus Ordo sect with Catholicism. They are not Catholic. They are heretics and apostates. Have nothing to do with them or those in union with them.

It is interesting but not surprising. The selection process requires overhaul with tests.

Offering all those Novus Ordo Masses obviously hasn't done much good for our priests.

This is proof positive. And reinforces the fact that the Traditional Mass is (being generous to the NO here) SUPERIOR if only for the fact that the words and ritual constantly reinforce repeatedly what is actually going on.

Open letter to Bishop Sticka (and each bishop who agrees with his relevant tweet) -

Dear Bishop

With profound respect, if only for the sake of your eternal soul, you need to:
1. Carefully re-consider what you just said.
2. Revisit the Nicene Creed and carefully and prayerfully read the New Testament (especially what Jesus said about His own identity and relationship with the Father), the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Church Fathers to satisfy yourself once and for all that Catholics worship the One, True, Triune God, comprised of Father Son and Holy Spirit, who are 3 distinct persons mysteriously unified (in a way which is beyond the limits of human understanding) within the One God and that it is absolutely crystal clear that Catholics WORSHIP all Three Divine Persons.
3. Consider that your words are capable of being construed by the Faithful (and others) to mean that you do not really believe Our Lord to be God (an integral part of that Mystery of the Holy Trinity) but merely a lesser being, maybe roughly analogous to Apollo, the son of Zeus, in the pantheon of Greek mythology.
4. Repent of the clear heresy inherent in that statement.
5. Publicly acknowledge and explain your error to your flock in a way the confusion you have sown will be clearly and unequivocally dispelled.
6. Humbly ask forgiveness for your grave dereliction of duty.
7. OR, if you are unable to do each of the above steps, immediately tender your resignation as bishop and exit the priesthood by way of tacit acknowledgement that you are simply not up to the job.

At worst, your statement and tone can be viewed as disgraceful for a successor of the Apostles to make publicly. On the other hand, the most charitable interpretation I can imagine is that you have had a "brain snap" and printed something that came out different to what you really believe. We are, after all, only human and humans make mistakes.

Nonetheless, the error needs to be immediately rectified, whatever the cause, because its effect is potentially devastating.

With filial respect,
Roi

Stika viciously smeared the Covington boys so what else can we expect from this miserable Godless creep?

This Bishop does not even know his English language.

Adore means the offering of latria, which is owed to God alone.

Worship means show reverence.

It seems the Bishop has exchanged the definitions of one with the other.

This is why the Church needs a Holy Office of Inquisition and a Holy Office of Episcopal Competence. It think this Bishop is an embarassment to Christ.
