Is Cardinal Collins just following the money?

Earlier this year with the China Virus raging and little known about it, (yes, the virus is real, it is not good, masks help, wash your hands as mom told you, don't touch your face... yada, yada) the government of Canada, as in the United States and presumably elsewhere, turned on the press and deflected the bill to our grandchildren not yet born.

Here are some quotes from Mr. MacCarthy the Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Toronto.

https://nationalpost.com/news/churches-other-non-profit-organizations-look-for-help-as-they-prepare-for-covid-19-donation-crunch

“The longer churches have to remain closed, then there are certainly financial implications, especially for smaller parishes that don’t have the same sort of financial support as some of our larger ones,” said Neil MacCarthy, the director of public relations and communications at the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto. “We’re also trying to maintain as many ministries as we can with outreach to the vulnerable.”

“Churches rely on the generosity of their parishioners to maintain their operations day-to-day and those expenses don’t necessarily go away when you’ve got the church closed. You’re still heating the church and you’re still paying the water bill,” said MacCarthy.

“These are these are spiritual hubs. They’re community hubs. They’re outreach hubs. And so those kinds of solutions and creative solutions would be good points of discussion for government and faith communities,” said MacCarthy.

The snipped above is from a friend on Facebook. A Catholic woman in health care. It is revealing as to point out that the Cardinal's spokesman's pleas for government largess really doesn't matter. Even with Mass cancelled, many parishes are just not doing anything, let alone, public Mass.

Is your local parish open for private prayer? Is your pastor reaching out to his flock? Are you able to receive the Sacraments? I am asking you to give me examples of the situation naming the parish here in Toronto and Peel regions. You can write me at voxcantoris@rogers.com. We will "out" all of them.

Yesterday in Ottawa, the Minister of Finance announced a historic massive deficit that will cause yet unknown future crises. In her announcement she restated the government's intent to renew the wage and salary subside of up to 75%.

Since priest salaries and many internal staff were and are being paid by government subsidy and since "he who the piper pays dances to the piper's tune" is this why the Mass in Toronto and Peel has been shut down so that we don't reap the wrath of those who have us on a string?

Is it really about the money?

Your Eminence, if you can open churches for ten people for private prayer then why can you not open it to just nine and the priest can offer Mass?

After all, you are being paid.

Cardinal Collins' "virtuous" public health officials say that glory holes are okay - but no Gloria for you!

With thanks to Barona at Toronto Catholic Witness for these posters.

This is all okay according to the doctors and public health professionals. The same professionals to whom Cardinal Thomas Collins, in a recent webinar to the priests of the Archdiocese of Toronto. referred to as "virtuous."

Virtuous.

Did I write somewhere that the same people that put out these posters about masturbation and glory holes, whom the Cardinal calls "virtuous," banned singing in church without the authority to do so and demanded that the Cardinal ban Holy Communion on the tongue and reluctantly accepted "dropping" the Holy Sacrament in one's hands?

Virtuous.

Oh, and today is the Feast of the St. Andrew the Apostle and while there can't be a Gloria there can be a glory hole and remember, there is ...

Bach - Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland, BWV 659 - Dr. Aaron James, The Toronto Oratory on No Mass for you Sunday

It's the First Sunday of Advent and there is ...

... AND JERUSALEM HAS BEEN MADE DESOLATE.

Roráte caéli désuper,

et núbes plúant jústum.

Drop down, ye heavens, from above,

and let the skies pour down righteousness.

Ne irascáris Dómine,

ne ultra memíneris iniquitátis:

ecce cívitas Sáncti fácta est desérta:

Síon desérta fácta est, Jerúsalem desoláta est:

dómus sanctificatiónis túæ et glóriæ túæ,

ubi laudavérunt te pátres nóstri.

Be not wroth very sore, O Lord,

neither remember iniquity for ever:

thy holy city is a wilderness,

Sion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation:

our holy and our beautiful house,

where our fathers praised thee.

Peccávimus, et fácti súmus tamquam immúndus nos,

et cecídimus quasi fólium univérsi:

et iniquitátes nóstræ quasi véntus abstulérunt nos:

abscondísti faciem túam a nóbis,

et allisísti nos in mánu iniquitátis nóstræ.

We have sinned, and are as an unclean thing,

and we all do fade as a leaf:

and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away:

thou hast hid thy face from us:

and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

Víde Dómine afflictiónem pópuli túi,

ut áuferat ípse júgum captivitátis nóstræ.

Behold, O Lord, the affliction of thy people,

and send forth him whom thou wilt send;

send forth the Lamb, the ruler of the earth,

from Petra of the desert to the mount of the daughter of Sion:

that he may take away the yoke of our captivity.

Vos testes mei, dicit Dóminus,

et servus meus quem elégi;

ut sciátis, et credátis mihi:

ego sum, ego sum Dóminus, et non est absque me salvátor:

et non est qui de manu mea éruat.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord,

and my servant whom I have chosen;

that ye may know me and believe me:

I, even I, am the Lord, and beside me there is no Saviour:

and there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

Consolámini, consolámini, pópule méus:

cito véniet sálus túa:

quare mæróre consúmeris,

quia innovávit te dólor?

Salvábo te, nóli timére,

égo enim sum Dóminus Déus túus,

Sánctus Israël, Redémptor túus.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people;

my salvation shall not tarry:

why wilt thou waste away in sadness?

why hath sorrow seized thee?

Fear not, for I will save thee:

For I am the Lord thy God,

the Holy One of Israel, thy Redeemer.

Alma Redemptoris Mater - Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina [á 4; The King's Singers]

NO MASS FOR YOU! - IT'S JUST NOT WORTH IT.

"I do not want ever to shut down the Church again."

So said, Toronto Archbishop Thomas Cardinal Collins on November 13, 2020 only to go against his own words by doing exactly that on November, 23. Ah, wait, he is correct, he did not "shut down the Church again," he only banned the public worship of God in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The good Cardinal left the churches open for private prayer to a maximum of ten established by the Ontario politburo diktat of General-secretary Douglas Ford after being advised by the same "virtuous" medical professionals spoken of by our good Cardinal. The same ones that recently murdered a woman by lethal injection, an elderly woman now before God and one who could not bear another shutdown. The Cardinal said he "did not want collateral damage." Well, he got it bigtime.

So, the Cardinal can make a distinction. He did not "shutdown the Church again." He only shutdown the Holy Sacrifice of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

How does this make sense and why has he done this?

If the church can have ten people, why can it not have eight faithful, a priest and one server to make up those ten. I am not trying to justify General-secretary Ford's diktat, but let's just try for a moment to work within the decree.

If ten can gather and distance and mask and sanitize at St. Clare of Assisi Woodbridge which holds over 1,000 to recite the rosary, why can they not gather for Mass? It hurts the brain to try to unravel this riddle.

It is simple.

As I have been told by more than one who would know, "It is just not worth it." That is the view of the Cardinal, his Auxiliaries, the chancerycrats and the close circle of priests around him. It's just not worth it. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is just not worth it.

Christ, is not worth it.

You, are not worth it.

You, my friend, you are not worth the trouble of figuring out which ten. But hey, the priest has his Mass. Talk about clericalism.

Is part of the riddle, the distribution of Holy Communion? We know he has violated the rights of the faithful to receive on the tongue and has approved the dropping of the Host in one's hands, where it may fall on the floor and particles, each of which contains Christ, scatter. We know that without authority, Toronto Public Health and presumably others, have threatened the Church over this matter. It is not acceptable.

So, let us work for a moment again within the politburo diktat. After all, what would St. Thomas More, who Cardinal Collins so often quotes praises, do?

"I'd give the Devil the benefit of law, for my own safety's sake."

The Cardinal has the authority to say that there will be no distribution of Holy Communion at Mass. The faithful do not need to receive the Eucharist at Mass. The priest must, as the Levitical priests old, consume the Holy Sacrifice. It was later, distributed the Hebrew people. Holy Communion can be received by appointment (contact tracing) on the hand or tongue alone as an individual or family circle with proper sanitizing measures before and after.

If this little layman can figure this out, why can't the Cardinal.

My friends, as Ontario politburo General-secretary Ford is wont to say, my friends, I can only do so much. I am one person, what are you doing? What has happened to us. Do we need to use Adam Skelley as our role model?

I wrote yesterday that we will back the Cardinal, we will defend his priests, our priests.

Cardinal Collins, you wear red for a reason. You have forgotten. You will be judged by Jesus Christ for this. Imagine if Our Lord Jesus Christ said in the Garden, "Father, its just not worth it!"

Restore the public Mass in Toronto and Peel now. Do it, now  and do not do what you have done again.

Advise the Premier today that as of next Sunday, we will return to 30% and in order to increase the number of Masses, limit homilies to five minutes and eliminate the distribution of Holy Communion in the Mass and do it by appointment.

Advise the Premier and the Medical Officers of Health that they can issue whatever citation, or fine, or penalty they wish. They can even arrest you and your priests as they did Mr. Skelley, who as of this writing has in his war chest $229,229.00.

Let them drag you in handcuffs from the Cathedral.

Yesterday, I visited Adamson's BBQ. It was barricaded with concrete barriers and there were over fifty police, none of whom wanted to be there. They were borrowed from across the city. I asked an Officer, "what would happen if 100 or more did this as a protest." He told me, "absolutely nothing, we could not handle it."

Bullies back down.

Unless the coward lets them continue.

Cardinal Collins, you speak much of More and Fisher as you did at the Oratory last Saturday and your Sunday homily from the same Ambo disgraced a few weeks ago by Justin Trudeau, whilst you the servant of us and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, sat behind a pillar, muted  and struck dumb with a face mask. You, were silent whilst Justin Trudeau seized the place of the Word of God and received the Holy Sacrament whilst the cameras panned to the ceiling and for which I have witnesses.

Enough!

As St. Catherine of Sienna said, "We've had enough exhortations to be silent."

To my fellow Catholics, she commanded us, "Cry out with a thousand tongues - I see the world is rotten because of silence!"

REPORT: ONTARIO GOVERNMENT WAS PREPARED TO LIFT CHURCH RESTRICTIONS AS EARLY AS LATE APRIL INTO MAY - WHY DID CARDINAL COLLINS DELAY UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF JUNE?

Confidential sources in Ontario's Progressive-Conservative Government of Douglas Ford have revealed to this writer that following the initial wave of the China Virus in Ontario they were prepared to permit churches to open as early as April 2020. The Cardinal Archbishop of Toronto, Thomas Collins, shuttered all churches and ceased the public celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on March 8 and did not reopen for Sunday worship until June 14, at least six weeks later than it needed to be.

“We were prepared to see churches open as early as late April or early May,” said our source in an email interview. Cardinal Collins shut down the public celebration of Holy Mass leaving churches only open for "private prayer" two weeks before the Ontario government declared a full emergency and recommended churches be closed on March 16

“The Cardinal was among many that relayed to the Ontario government that it was too soon to reopen churches and other places of worship," wrote our source.

Who were the others with or without the Cardinal present that influenced the provincial government? Were they Anglican "clergy" or "bishops" who, did not open their churches until the first Sunday in September and clearly don't believe the worship is important, even for Anglicans? Was it the “Reverend” Greta Vosper of the United Church of Canada who was tried by that organisation because she is a self-proclaimed atheist? Are these the people with which Cardinal Collins finds common cause and of which this Prince of the Church is just one of many?

According to our source in the Progressive-Conservative government, they "expected church leaders to implement self-developed health and safety protocols" based on convention and cleaning and sanitation routines "adjusted to their own needs." The province had tried to leave much of the safety protocols to the “discretion of each church, as each building is unique and has different challenges.” The government was not interested in micro-managing how a church pastor or group would undertake cleaning. “They (church leaders) wanted the province to come up with the guidance list for all health and safety protocols and cleaning and sanitation routines,” in an apparent attempt to deflect any responsibility or accusations of liability.

Sing your heart out

In a stunning revelation, we were told that the “Province had permitted singing” and did not attempt to interfere in any way with any liturgical practice or worship, including the distribution method of Holy Communion. However, the source did indicate that “Toronto Public Health prohibited this practice,” without the authority to do so. These unaccountable public health bureaucrats were the ones demanding to the Cardinal and others that there be no singing and demanded an end to Holy Communion completely resulting in the severe modified current method and the complete violation of the rights of the faithful to receive Holy Communion on the tongue rather, it should be dropped in the hand of the person.

I will shut you down

In a November 13, 2020 priest webinar attended by over 800 of which this writer has been
provided with a video copy, Cardinal Collins goes to great lengths to describe nervously how it was very important to public health apparatchiks to know that the Holy Eucharist was only being dropped in one's hands compounding the risk of particle loss and sacrilege and violating the rights of the faithful. The Cardinal repeatedly said to the assembled clergy, "I will shut you down, I will shut you down" recalling a reprimand to one of his priests, lest anyone disobey his orders as "we are hierarchical."

"I will shut you down, I will shut you down!"

The provincial official could point to no scientific study or indication that singing, particularly whilst wearing a mask or maintaining sufficient distance could cause the spread of any virus. All that they had to go on was a case of multiple infections in one location in the State of Washington in January where a choir director knowingly scheduled a choir practice in close quarters with multiple ill people attending. Scientists now indicate that “viral load” is the greatest factor in catching Sars-Cov-2. The source was emphatic that the Province did not ban singing or Holy Communion.

Shoot me now

Referring to those same public health doctors who have demanded Collins ban singing and put ridiculous demands on the distribution of Holy Communion, in the webinar Cardinal Collins said that our medical officers were "virtuous people." The same people that killed a woman by lethal injection because she could not bear the loneliness of another lockdown or kill babies in the womb or restrict your rights These, in His Eminence's opinion, are "virtuous." It seems we have a different view on true Christian virtue.

For the reopening of churches, delayed by Cardinal Collins, the 30% capacity was considered by the government to be a reasonable approach (this writer three months earlier recommended churches stay open with 40%) as “some churches could only hold 30 persons while others could have a maximum capacity much larger.”

During various virtual calls with church leaders, the officials we spoke with indicated that “they (church leaders) were reluctant to reopen and that they still harboured some reserved judgements on safety” that extended beyond that of the provincial government of Doug Ford and the Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health.

God bless America

Two days ago, the United States Supreme Court, with the key vote swung by Justice Amy Coney Barrett, overruled New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's fascistic restrictions on churches. Oddly, Ontario is in jack-boot lock-step with Cuomo on colour codes and restricting the numbers to ten which the Cardinal reduced to zero.

In an interview on Fox News this morning, Father Gerald K. Murray of the Archdiocese of New York, known for his work with Raymond Arroyo of EWTN's The World Over said,

"People have the right in this country to worship God and not be restricted by arbitrary limitations. Those restrictions in the Red Zone include ten people in St. Patrick's Cathedral. That's an absurdity. If you can go to Home Depot or the liquor store, which the Governor is allowing, why can't you go worship God."

The comparisons between New York State and Ontario and New York City and Toronto are chilling. Doug Ford has morphed into a kindler gentler version of Andrew Cuomo. Toronto Mayor John Tory is only one bulb brighter on the Seasonal Tree than New York Mayor Warren Wilhlem, Jr. who identifies as Bill de Blasio, but that is where the comparisons stop. The difference is, in the Archdiocese of New York, they have Timothy Cardinal Dolan and he not only defends his churches but he allows priests of the caliber of Gerald K. Murray to speak out and defend the faith on national television without threating to "shut you down." Timothy Dolan has not joined the politburo of New York. What does this say about Thomas Collins who has gone beyond Ford and the medical "expert" diktat of ten by ceasing Mass altogether on the cusp of Advent?

It's just not worth it

More than one confidential clerical source has told this writer that Toronto episcopal and diocesan lay leaders indicate that having Mass for ten is "just not worth it." Churches in Toronto can open to a maximum for ten people as per Ford. This is to be at the "pastor's discretion" for private prayer and cannot include the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on the orders of Collins. It simply makes no sense.

I'm shocked, shocked ...

It is not difficult to see why Premier Douglas Ford had no problem accepting the most recent recommendations of the Chief Medical Officer to reduce church capacity to ten as of last Monday, November 22. He knew the Cardinal would not fight back and would accept it at ten or whatever else he might decree. The source indicated that all were “shocked to discover” that Cardinal Collins’ response was to eliminate public worship completely.

It is difficult to determine why the Cardinal after having suspended the public celebration of the liturgy before government mandate in March would be so eager to do it again now. One can only speculate - intellectually it is not possible to logically conclude the reasons why he would do this.

Could it be that he is trying to curry favour with Pope Francis to influence who his successor will be in January 2022? Is he being dangled like a puppet by corporate lawyers? Is he being blackmailed? Are there a significant number of priests who have demanded this out of some irrational fear for their apparent personally compromised immune systems? Have public health minions threatened to charge or arrest? Certainly, his demeanor in the November 13 video is revealing - he is as far from St. John Fisher as you can be, he is a weak man filled with fear and a deer caught in the headlights.

My friends, as Dougie Ford is wont to say, this is not easy for this writer. I had great respect for Cardinal Collins. I know so much that I wish I did not know about stuff here in Toronto, I cannot unlearn it. I have, with intention, for a decade avoided much on this blog about what goes on in this Archdiocese and much of its sordid past. I take no joy in this public challenge to him and I don't wish any ill upon Thomas Collins. The facts are, these people do not respond to private emails or phone calls and they do not bend. They do not care about what you think. They have turned the Holy Church of Christ in Toronto into a "hierarchical" corporation and money machine and they have refused you the Sacraments and the opportunity to give God his due, your public worship. If they ran out of money, they would "vacuum it up from the parishes" as he has been known to say, echoing the late disgraced Cardinal Spellman. The people who have taken your money have built houses for bishops when big rectories such as St. Cecelia are empty and allowed hundreds of thousands to be spent on designer kitchens at Holy Rosary in Toronto and St. Mary Immaculate in Richmond Hill and build retirement estates for episcopal leaders in their favourite Ontario town. Your money which you cannot even give to the building fund free of the cathedraticum - and this is what they give you in Lent, Holy Week, the Triduum, Eastertide, Pentecost, Corpus Christi and now Advent and Christmas - stones when you beg for bread.

Cardinal Thomas Collins has a duty and here is what he must do and do it now and you have a part to play.

-Immediately announce that Public Mass will resume on the First Sunday of Advent as normal with the protocols in place at the Premier's insistence of ten (It is worth it, Eminence, it is worth the effort to find ten).

-If the distribution of Holy Communion is a problem, suspend all public Holy Communion at Mass and order that priests must accommodate all privately for the sacrament during the week using the ritual of Holy Communion outside of Mass and it can it be on the tongue privately, by appointment taking sanitary requirements into account.

-Immediately advise the Premier that effective on Sunday, December 6, Catholic churches will be open to 30% and all previous protocols will apply and that the Premier has until this time to amend his order.

-Make public the threat that any interference by government or public health officials would result in immediate court challenges under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

-Advise the Premier and Toronto Public Health that he is prepared to be subject to arrest and imprisonment for defying the politburo diktats and orders his priests to follow his example. Bullies back down in a fight, especially when as with Ford, they are ignoramus'

You as a Catholic will defend the Cardinal and his priests and stand in the way of any jackboot who threatens your church and you will ensure it. "My friends," will you do that?

Cardinal Collins, do your duty to God and man.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THOMAS CARD. COLLINS ON THE CESSATION OF PUBLIC DIVINE WORSHIP IN PARTS OF THE ARCHDIOCESE OF TORONTO.

Dear Cardinal Collins,

Laudetur Jesus Christus.

I write this letter to you and make it public under these provisions of the Code of Canon Law. 212 §1 to Canon 215*. In all good conscience, well-formed and Christian, I cannot remain silent to the abomination before me and my society.

This letter has been forwarded, by blind copy, to a good number of our priests in the Archdiocese of Toronto and bishops elsewhere, so that they will be aware of the facts which are not being discussed by you or your staff or disseminated to the Catholic faithful. It will also be posted on Vox Cantoris, shared with other bloggers and social media as a public record to advise Catholics in Toronto of the facts and the abandoning of your duty before God and His faithful people.

Earlier in the wretched year of 2020, more of Satan than Our Blessed Lord, I wrote publicly on my blog how to manage church function during the upcoming lockdown. https://voxcantor.blogspot.com/2020/03/dear-bishops-there-is-better-way-than.html. I suggested an attendance cap and ticket system based upon building occupancy. I suggested forty percent. Someone read my post and three months later, took some of my advice. That advice should have been taken immediately. There was no reason or no science to support the complete withholding of our Lent and Holy Week and the Triduum and Eastertide and Pentecost and Corpus Christi. Yet, I acquiesced and urged my fellow Catholics to do the same in the interests of Christian charity, legitimate authority and public health. That was then. Now, we know much more about the virus and we have ways to manage it ourselves. This writer even condemned foolish Catholics in the Diocese of Hamilton that lost the use of two churches for the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite because of their obstinate refusal to wear a mask in accord with the Bishop’s request and various municipal by-laws. All reasonable legitimate authority.

Since this time, all of us have learnt much about what Father John Zuhlsdorf calls the “Wuhan Devil.” Catholics certainly are following all requests in our churches, priests certainly are, yet notwithstanding this, you have shuttered our churches to the public worship of God, again, even though the Premier of Ontario has, without any science limited worship to ten. Ten, even at St. Clare of Assisi, St. Paul’s Basilica and St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica. You have outdone Premier Ford in a race to the bottom by banning the public worship of God. This is a crime against God and man. The virus spread is not and was not coming from churches. You had a duty to ensure that these latest restrictions, which are crippling our small business sector, did not affect worship. If you intervened or your staff attempted to intervene, then you should advise us that you did and failed and the government rebuffed you. Then we can blame Mr. Ford. Clearly, nothing has been learnt since the false promises by the former Premier on a certain Bill which you and your staff, well know. You should have gone public and to court. You should have defended the faith in the manner of Saints John Fisher and Thomas More, to whom you so often refer, including last week.

Now, the facts.

As of this writing, there are 523 people in hospital in Ontario due SARS-CoV-2. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/. That is 523 out of more than the 2019 population of 14,416,515 people for which there are nearly 500 hospitals and 20,000 hospital beds. Those hospitalized represent 0.003% of the population. For this, the Premier, who does not attend church and probably has not darkened one since the funeral of his poor brother, does not see Holy Mass as “essential service.” He has interfered with our God-given and Charter Rights and you have acquiesced in this abomination. He is bankrupting our Province and our small businesses whilst allowing globalist conglomerates to operate with impunity. Mr. Ford has interfered with our spiritual lives and those of our Protestant brethren and our Jewish and sincere Moslem brothers and sisters. Rather than leading and rallying the leaders of these faiths in a true Francis style “brotherhood” to confront the secularist, globalist minions, you have done nothing.

More?

On November 15, 2020, CTV News reported that 10,947 people across Canada had died of SARS-CoV-2 and 10,781 of those who died were in long-term care. What happened to Mr. Ford’s “iron ring?” Where were you and your brother bishops when this literal murder was and still is, being perpetuated? The CBC reported in May that 80% of deaths of the first wave were in long-term care. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/coronavirus-canada-long-term-care-deaths-study-1.5626751. Are we imitating here in Ontario, Andrew Cuomo’s actions in the Empire State? The same people who happily stick a needle in some poor soul in a murder/suicide or kill babies in the womb, are clutching their pearls over a bad flu while letting it run rampant in nursing homes. It is an indictment of incompetence on the part of Mr. Ford and the Government of Ontario and our experts in public health especially the Chief Medical Officer none of whom are the sharpest scalpels on the tray who as with Catholic Mr. Biden, were generally in the bottom 1% of their class. It is an indictment of you and your brother bishops who have sat by in your protected palaces and blasphemed the Holy Sacrifice by wearing a mask in the sanctuary whilst the rest of us try to get on with life and pay our bills and hope buy a little bread and grog. This has happened and you have said and done nothing to stop it.

The difference between those who have died in Canada outside of long-term care is (CTV numbers) 166.

One hundred and sixty-six.

You have shut down the public worship of God which is His right and our duty because 166 people have died in Canada over the last eight months. You have done this at a time when a globalist cabal is using every opportunity world-wide to stymy our rights and liberty and free practice of true religion. Rather, you should “open wide the doors to Christ” rather than bolting them.

Late last evening, the United States Supreme Court https://www.marketwatch.com/story/supreme-court-rules-that-cuomo-cant-limit-attendance-at-new-york-religious-services-due-to-covid-19-2020-11-26 thanks to Justice Amy Coney Barrett, overturned the “Catholic” Andrew Cuomo’s restrictions on church and synagogue attendance. Interesting that Mr. Ford has copied identically, the Cuomo model of colour and levels. Cuomo, the same man responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of seniors in long-term care. This will not stop at New York and will shortly spread across America. Supreme courts in one western country often use precedent established in another – so called same-sex marriage being an example. You have a duty now to defy Mr. Ford and undertake and initiate immediate legal action.

We now sit on the cusp of Advent and there will be no public Mass. Not even for the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. No doubt, you will cancel Christ's Mass. All for 166 deaths across Canada.

As a priest wrote to me yesterday, “Cardinal Collins should meditate on St. Luke’s gospel, IX, 59-60:   “But he said to another: Follow me. And he said: Lord, suffer me first to go, and to bury my father.  And Jesus said to him: Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou, and preach the kingdom of God.”

We, “ask for bread and you give us stones.” Matthew 7:9.

Cardinal Collins, do your duty to God and man and do it now!

CTV NEWS REPORTS - As for November 15, 2020 10,947 dead in Canada but 10,781 were senior in long-term care!

In June, the CBC reported 80% of deaths were in long-term care. The CTV report may not be accurate, but I think we can trust the CBC number. What is the number now though and why is it so hard to verify, what do they not want us to know? Whether it is 80% or 99%, it still reveals that the overwhelming bulk of deaths are of the elderly and infirm and these poor souls may have died regardless in the next year. This is not too discount their value but to condemn the government for its dereliction and the Cardinal for his banning of Mass and the destruction of the economy for a number that is nowhere near the infection rate.

...

A report on CTV Network in Canada revealed a shocking number. The report took place on November 15, 2020 revealing that 10,947 persons in Canada had died of China Virus. Shockingly, 10,781 were seniors in long-term care. Therefore, across the whole wide range of Canada from sea to see to sea, as of November 15, only 166 persons not living in long-term care facilities died of China Virus.

One hundred and sixty-six!

Dealing with my home province of Ontario and Toronto, this is an indictment of incompetence and bombastic moronic evil on the part of Doug Ford and John Tory and our public health bureaucrats. Our Archbishop, Thomas Cardinal Collins, has been taken in by them and has shut down the public worship of God until at least December 21 and will probably blow out Christmas, the very Christ's Mass from which the name derives.

Not even in the communist era in Poland did the communist government shut down churches and order an end to the Holy Mass being offered publicly.

Doug Ford, John Tory and Cardinal Thomas Collins have outdone Communist First Secretaries Boleslaw Biret, Wladyslaw Gomulka, Edward Gierek, Wojciech Jaruzelski combined. How does that make you feel, gents? You've outdone them.

All of them have failed. They have failed to protect the vulnerable under their care and now they have engineered a fraud in order to cover up their own deceit and incompetence.

I am at a loss. This is just evil. These men are failures. They are scoundrels. They need to be held to account, in this world and the next!

Rich celebrities.

Not. One. Mask.

Surely he preached to them of Jesus Christ and the need to enter fully His Church outside of which there is no salvation.

Surely.

Bishop Michael Power - Cardinal Thomas Collins - two bishops of Toronto, Irish - that is where the similarity ends!

Though the non-church going and presumably lapsed-Anglican ignoramus and Premier of Ontario, Douglas Ford has reduced capacity of all places of worship to ten the Cardinal Archbishop of Toronto one upped him. "Oh yeah? I'll just cancel public Mass, I'll show ya whose Boss, so there!"

The first bishop of Toronto had something much worse than China virus to deal with. There are some comparisons between Michael Power and Thomas Collins. Two men, Irish Catholics and both Bishops of Toronto.

One had a courage of a lion and one did not.

You decide which one.

"In Toronto, Peel and everywhere that churches have prohibited public Mass, what would Bishop Power say? How would he lead during the current crisis? Would he pour himself out in leadership and service to an increasingly dispirited flock or would he surpass the ten-person government mandate and take away the public celebration of the Holy Sacrifice, removing public, in-person worship from Catholics badly in need of hope, badly in need of Christ?"

McDermott  writes that "In a Catholic Register staff editorial from June 8, 2017, Cardinal Thomas Collins lauded Bishop Power’s “sacrifice and service.” According to the editorial, Bishop Power assuaged the sick and dying with “the experience of Heaven to those who were suffering that hell.”

Thomas Collins has rather brought to his people the experience of hell when they desire heaven on earth.

Sunday, 22 November 2020

Good morning Ontario and enjoy your last opportunity to engage in the public worship of God in Toronto!

Well, looky here.

In all of Ontario with 14,446,515 people, nearly 500 hospitals and 20,000 hospital beds there are 513 people in hospital with the China Virus.

But you won't be able to worship God at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and you can't get a haircut or browse your main street independent store for your winter boots, unless it is Costco or Walmart - then hundreds can browse at a time. The photo at the right was taken yesterday at the local Costco in southwest Toronto.

So, you can go to Costco to buy your toilet paper in a line of hundreds but 50 people can't gather at St Clare of Assisi in Woodbridge which holds 1,000 or St. Michael's Cathedral which holds 900. Catholic and non-Catholic Christian church goers have not caused these spikes. Jews going to synagogue have not caused spikes.  Not enough are going to church. Those that are attending follow the guidelines and I can tell you that church pastors are being responsible with the cleaning. So, what is the problem?

On the matter of the Premier, my sources who know him and have spoken with him tell me that he is being pulled from both sides, particularly those who want a whole shutdown. His common sense has enabled him to resist it. He is trying to stay on the road without being pulled into a ditch. At the same time, the Cardinal Archbishop of Toronto, will, as of tomorrow deny God His due public worship.

513 people out of 14,446,515.

But you can't go to Mass!

Cardinal Collins cancels public Mass in Toronto and west of Archdiocese - more to follow?

Earlier today, Ontario Premier Douglas Ford put two regions, Toronto and Peel to the west, under serious restrictions. Included in this is a limit of ten persons at religious services. In response. Toronto's Cardinal Thomas Collins has decreed that the celebration of public Mass in these areas is suspended.

As of this writing, there are 518 people in hospital in the Province of Ontario. From Windsor at the border with Detroit past the Thousand Islands shared with upstate New York and past Ottawa to Quebec. Across Superior to the Manitoba border, 518 people out of 20,000 hospital beds for a population of 13.5 million. That is 0.003% of the population.

Utter insanity and wickedness.

Understand this. Premier Douglas Ford has not closed churches nor has he ordered the ending of public Worship of God and the abolition of the Sacraments.

Thomas Collins, the "Pope in Toronto" has done this.

An absolute and utter disgrace.

Read it and weep, along with Jesus.

November 20, 2020

To all clergy, staff and the faithful of the Archdiocese of Toronto,

Before providing an update on the latest measures implemented by the province of Ontario regarding churches in the Archdiocese of Toronto, I wish to express my gratitude and admiration for the heroic work that has taken place following our June re-opening.

Since that time, more than 1.3 million Catholics have attended Mass in our archdiocese. Following our robust WorshipSafe protocols, clergy, staff and volunteers have created a safe and welcoming environment, ensured proper distancing, the use of masks, as well as sanitizing churches after every service. You have also reached out with creativity and love to care not only for the sick and bereaved, but also for the needs of those suffering in other ways, who are isolated, who are facing psychological and spiritual trauma. You have been there for them. I thank you for fostering a culture of compassion that is needed more than ever, in the midst of this pandemic.

Participation in the Mass and especially the opportunity to receive the Eucharist and other sacraments gives all of us the spiritual strength to not only endure the crisis, but also to reach out to serve, day after day, all of those who are suffering.

We also must recognize the gravity of the situation before us. The number of positive cases of Covid-19 continues to rise at an alarming rate in many areas of our own archdiocese and in other regions of the province and country. We are still in the midst of a pandemic, which has already taken the lives of more than 11,000 Canadians.

We are grateful to those who have been dedicated to fighting the virus – first responders and front line workers along with those working selflessly in our long-term care homes among others. In my conversations with political leaders and medical officers of health, I continue to assure them of our ongoing prayers as they make difficult decisions to protect all of us.

In view of all of the above, I am deeply disappointed that, in some regions of the archdiocese, we must restrict participation in the sacraments (details enclosed). This will inflict a great spiritual pain upon those who safely and with great dedication have been drawing spiritual strength to sustain them, and to help them to serve those suffering in this pandemic. As we have demonstrated our ability to safely worship together, I trust that we will soon be able fully to resume public worship.

Meanwhile, now is the time to go ever deeper in prayer, and with continued love and creative zeal, build up our community of faith and reach out even more to those who are suffering in these difficult days.

Sincerely in Christ,

Archbishop of Toronto

Recognizing the health and safety measures announced by the Province of Ontario on November 20, 2020, I am directing parishes to implement the following in their respective regions:

Toronto & Peel Region (Lockdown – Emergency Restrictions)

  • By Monday, November 23, 2020, parishes must restrict attendance inside the church to 10 people, including priests hearing confessions or a staff member/volunteer required to monitor capacity restrictions. Due to these measures, public Masses must be temporarily cancelled. Priests are asked to celebrate private Mass daily for the intentions of parishioners and for those suffering from Covid-19.
  • Churches, wherever possible and according to the judgement of the pastor, are encouraged to remain open for private prayer and for the faithful to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Weddings, funerals and baptisms (without Mass) are restricted to 10 persons, including those who are involved in ministry (priest, cantor, etc.). First Holy Communions and Confirmations should be postponed at this time.
  • Parishioners are encouraged to view online/livestream/televised Masses. A full list is available at www.archtoronto.org and I will continue to celebrate the livestreamed Mass each day from St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica at 7:30 a.m.
  • No meetings should take place in parish halls or other church spaces at this time. The only exception would be those deemed as essential services eg. Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous Meetings. These meetings should be restricted to 10 people and ensure that all appropriate health and safety measures are in place (use of masks, hand sanitizer, physical distancing, etc.). Virtual meetings should replace in-person meetings wherever possible.

·       Parish offices should move to Phase 1 – Parish Offices Closed/Significant Operating Restrictions. Only essential staff in the office. Employees should work remotely wherever possible. Parish offices closed to the public - limited essential appointments only. Staff should take direction from the pastor regarding the local situation on the most prudent approach. In larger parishes, it may be possible to rotate staff.

York & Durham Regions (Red Zone – Control Restrictions)

  • By Monday, November 23, 2020, parishes must restrict attendance at all liturgical celebrations (Mass, Weddings, Funerals, Baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmation, etc.) to 30% capacity. Please continue to ensure strict adherence to sanitization, distancing and other measures as outlined in our protocols.
  • Parish offices should move to Phase 2 – Limited Operations.

Simcoe Muskoka & Orangeville (Orange Zone – Restrict Measures)

  • No change to current operations. Parishes must restrict attendance at all liturgical celebrations to 30% capacity.
  • Indoor meetings restricted to 50 people maximum.

Catholic bishop doxes Catholic layman!

Rick Stika, the Catholic bishop of Knoxville, has publicly doxed Dr. Taylor Marshall on the internet's most evil place. We've written about Stika before, you can click on the index label below to read if you wish. Stika is a mean man. A cruel man. He displays narcistic personality disorder and sociopathic tendencies. He has not sympathy or respect for others and he publicly slanders. A cleric bereft of charity and common decency.

He needs to get off of Twitface and repent. What does the Bishop do all day?
