On the matter of the Motu Proprio there is one thing you can do, tomorrow. THERE IS A MASS FOR YOU - GET TO IT!

Dear Friends,

The Bishop of Rome has taken the advice of some bishops, most probably Italy's and abrogated Summorum Pontificum using that very word. A word that was used by our Pope, Benedict XVI when he stated quite rightly that the Missal of 1570/1962 was "never abrogated."

That Missal was and can never be abrogated. Let us remember, at this time, the words of Holy Gamaliel:

33 When they heard this they were enraged and wanted to kill them. 34 But a Pharisee in the council named Gamaliel a teacher of the law, held in honour by all the people, stood up and ordered the men to be put outside for a while. 35 And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you do with these men. 36 For before these days Theudas arose, giving himself out to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him; but he was slain and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37 After him Judas the Galilean arose in the days of the census and drew away some of the people after him; he also perished, and all who followed him were scattered. 38 So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this undertaking is of men, it will fail; 39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”

The men who did this are evil and they are stupid. It is not judgemental to state it, to call them out or to proclaim loudly that "if they do not repent and recant and make amends, then Hell awaits them for this one act alone!"

Go to the traditional Mass in our diocesan parishes or to the SSPX. Go and show all of our episcopal leaders that we will not be moved.

Keep your powder dry and pray.

If you are in Toronto. here is what you do.

The provincial government has now lifted specific occupancy limitations and has indicated that occupancy is dictated by "social distancing." I'm sure Susan from the Parish Council will be enforcing this vigoursly.

As Susan does not attend the traditional Latin Mass this is where you should go.

St. Vincent de Paul at 9:30 A.M.

Holy Family at 11:00 A.M.

St. Patrick's Schomberg at 11:00 A.M.

St. Lawrence the Martyr at 1:00 P.M.

If so inclined.

The Society of St. Pius X

Church of the Transfiguration at 8:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M.

Cathedral of the Transfiguration in Markham at 5:00 P.M. NO PRE-REGISTRATION!

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON!

What we won't be doing.
Groveling. We're not going to beg for our birthright as given to us by God Himself for proper worship. These men's hearts are not moved by pity. If they were decent men with decent hearts they wouldn't do this in the first place. Any decent bishop would act accordingly and make sure the TLM is available to thrive. He would be encouraging his flock. Encouraging!

We feel strongly he actually does not have the right to limit the Mass of the Ages. There is no way the Holy Mass lasted 2000 years in some form and then God decided it had to end, there were too many faithful. These men have attacked God directly. Directly.

At no time will we be pledging allegiance to Vatican II. Those words will not pass our lips because it would be a lie at this point. I'm not sure if that's what they are implying, but no pinch of incense shall be tossed to the demon gods. It is a vile dictator who demands his brutalized enemy to swear fidelity to the Visigoths who just plundered the village. Just, no. God would not ask us to lie or beg to get the Holy Mass. In fact, I must ask my pastor about that part in the Mass where we pray in union with Francis, because I can't say that in good faith anymore either. I'm not in any kind of union with the man. Let the criticisms begin, they will fall on deaf ears. I now have no tolerance at all for anyone who intones "holy obedience" at me. That day has passed, and anyone who doesn't see how it is hopeless. I'm not going to argue with anyone about it, but we see the unthinkable has happened, our "pope" is evil. We will act accordingly.
I'm calm, and so should everybody be. We will have the Traditional Latin Mass as always. He's made it hard and maybe impossible for some and that's vile, but we will not all be deprived, and the SSPX is there. We see who Francis and his church is, and it is not Catholic. Wakey wakey everybody! See that writing on the wall? It says you've been asleep and pretending. Now you know. Even if we had no Mass at all we can never be separated from Jesus Christ and His love for us. Not now, not ever. These worldly men cannot touch our relationship with Him, or Our Lady and the saints.
God bless all, prayers of friendship and goodwill to all my fellow Catholic brothers and sisters out there! Vox is right, soldier on. Our Good Lord will take care of us and we will KEEP and HAVE the Mass of the Ages as long as He sees fit, thanks be to God.
One last word. We will not be attending the Novus Ordo at all. Neutrality has moved to firm opposition. No man and no men who would do such a thing can be affiliated with anything good. This incredibly cruel act has already created chaos and great upset, and our God is not a God of chaos and upset. Satan is the father of chaos and upset. At least they've made themselves plainly visible to all. God be with us all.

May I add, it is their intention to take away the TLM in full. The Motu states that clearly. So even to have the diocesan TLM is a temporary thing to them. If you don't swear fealty to the NO, you may be banished to a gymnasium. Even if you swear fealty to the NO, you are going to lose the TLM at some point because they want ALL at the Novus Ordo. I don't believe that is a misinterpretation of what the Motu says, please correct me if I'm wrong.
"The floggings will continue until morale improves." That's sound leadership, right there.

The Pope is acting ultra vires.

He does not have the authority to abrogate a Rite that is Holy and was the Rite which sanctified countless members of the Communion of Saints.

One could argue that in trying to abrogate the Real Mass Bergoglio, in trying to blow-up the Real Mass, the collateral damage from the failed attempt will not only concretise the rupture between The 60s Synod and Sacred Tradition but also cause severe damage to the truth of The Communion of Saints.

How could the living be in Communion with dead Catholics who were sanctified by the Real Mass when Bergoglio insists the sacred Rite that nourished them spiritually is the cause of division?

Bergoglio is forcing Catholics to chose between his will and Catholic Tradition.

He should be thanked for forcing that choice on nominal catholics who must now choose between the light of Tradition and the darkness of Bergoglio.

The current occupant of the See of Rome has run up against this brick wall, through which he may never pass:

“We grant in perpetuity that this Missal is hereafter freely and lawfully to be used, without any scruple of conscience or fear of incurring any penalty or censure…

No one whosoever is permitted to alter this notice of Our permission, statute, ordinance, command, precept, grant, indult, declaration, will, decree, and prohibition. Should anyone dare to contravene it, let him know that he will incur the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul.”

(Pope St. Pius V, in union with the Bishops of the Dogmatic Council of Trent)

I stand on Dogma defined in Dogmatic Council over the invalid Bishop of Rome’s “Motu Proprio” any and every day.

The problem is that due to the covid kookery, the Latin Masses in Toronto are restricting admittance and require pre-registrations a week in advance or else the very scary government will be very very upset and may shut down your parish, and do to trad priests what they've done to certain Protestant pastors, or just send some antifa types to burn the Church down because somebody tripped over a rock that may or may not be a mass graveyard full of native children who were obviously gassed in the sanctuary chambers with Zyklon. And you MUST be masked of course! And also receive Communion on the hands! Because if you don't you're like, literally, killing peeeple! Like, follow da science!

Johnno, people have to fight back. Fight back or accept living as slaves forevermore, or until you get sick and tired of it as the poor Cubans have, and you have nothing to lose.

Dear Vox, I view your blog on cell phone, not computer. Your new "view all" expansion is not working for me. I wonder if others have this problem or if the "view all" option needs to be tweaked for cell phone use.

The iPhone display is like a web page. I can convert it back but a lot of content is lost. Write me at voxcantoris@rogers.com. What is the issue? I will ask a computer friend.

Hi Vox, Thanks for your concern; I'm writing you back. I have been viewing your blog effortlessly from my android cell phone for quite some time. A few days ago I saw that content was hidden on your blog roll with the option to press a link to expand - view the content of the blogs that are now hidden. My android can't open the link. I wonder, since this change, if something more has to be enabled through your blog program to accomodate all cell phone viewers? Also, why the change to hidden sites, please?

Vox Cantoris said...

Hi Tinka, that is something new on Blogger and I must see if it is something I can alter, it just appeared. I did not add it.

I will convert back to phone view as there should be an option to see page view.

Thank you for reading.

David

Sorry Tinka, Blogger won't let me change it. Or they hid the button.

tinka -

Are the settings on your phone set to see this blog on mobile view? What browser are you using?

I'm not seeing that option on an android I have, but it's an old one with older browsers.

Pope Francis writes, in the letter, says Una Voce International’s representative Dr.Joseph Shaw, that the use of the 1962 Missal is

often characterized by a rejection not only of the liturgical reform, but of the Vatican Council II itself, claiming, with unfounded and unsustainable assertions, that it betrayed the Tradition and the “true Church”.
https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/who-is-pope-francis-punishing

This is true. I agree with Pope Francis. However he is not aware that Vatican Council II has to be interpreted with a rational premise, inference and conclusion otherwise, with the common false premise, it has to be a betrayal of Tradition and the « true Church ». Since with the false premise, the Athanasius Creed, the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX, the Catechism of Pope Pius X (24 Q,27Q) and the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus according to the Jesuits in the 16th century are rejected. So a false Church is created.

Bergoglio: Argentina Dirty War/ Yorio/ Jacles, McCarrick, Amazonian Synod, Pachamama, slapping a woman’s hand….. I don’t know…..there’s just too much bad noise around this Pope. He seems to love the media limelight. I pray that the next pope is better.
