Something different from the Bergoglio imbroglio

On the brighter side, notwithstanding the stacking of the deck don't discount the fact that this man may be, please God, the next Pope.

Cardinal Sarah’s Homily to the Chartres Pilrgims

With the kind permission of His Eminence Robert Cardinal Sarah, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, we here publish an English translation of the homily which he delivered yesterday in the cathedral of Chartres to the pilgrims present for the annual Notre-Dame de Chrétienté pilgrimage. Our deepest thanks to His Eminence, and to the organizers of the pilgrimage for the pictures, from the Notre-Dame de Chrétienté website.

Through the grace of God and in His miraculous power may he be the next Pope.....a REAL Pope, Catholic to the very core. May God protect him and all of our clerics that are faithful to Christ in His Church! He has given us wonderful shepherds even among the thorns, we must not forget this!! For this, we are so very thankful!

My handle will be, "Cognitive Dissonance":

What would the scenario for the heretical Cardinals, who will be an overwhelming majority, to elect Sarah?

Tom A. said...

Don't forget that Sarah himself says an heretical mass and holds heretical views.

PF is destroying the Church and the institution of the papacy. His Abp's and Bp's
are clowns and queers. Wait one more time ? For PF to become PE once Benedict
passes away, which is all he's waiting for ? It's really about time the so-called Resistance
has the courage to coronate their own Pope and take on the hard work of re-establishing
the Church. End the sedivacantist crutch, or waiting game. Whom occupies St. Peter's Basilica does not matter. It's only a building. Perhaps someday the right Church will occupy those buildings once again, but not if it doesn't force the flock to make a choice. This will never happen until total schism is declared and the Occupied Vatican anathematized. But fine, wait. one. more. time.

I'm with Anonymous. We need something extreme here. When you have appendicitis you don't put a band-aid on it. After all the horror of a slow motion apostasy, I can't imagine Sarah being elected, and not at all by the group he's assembled, a fine lot of sodomites and weaklings. And for all Cardinal Sarah's great qualities, he apparently has Marxist economic ideas, and does not like capitalism. This is not a minor point.
I dislike being so pessimistic, but I can't see any answer at all in anything coming out of the church any longer, until there is a dramatic break of some kind. The church has grown entirely rotten, like a corpse, and due to the inability or unwillingness to stand up and vehemently defend Christ and the church, absolutely none of these men will have my confidence at all. Thus far, not one. The man who puts himself out there publicly and denounces Bergolio, that is likely the man.
With God, all things are possible.

Too late. The die is cast.

Only the intervention of God himself, visibly, or his intervention through the male laity taking over the Church and the Pope and clergy being subject to them, can save the Church.

Umm Kathleen, Pope Pius XII condemned capitalism by name. So if you're waiting for a Pope to be pro-capitalist you'll be waiting for a LONG time.

Anonymous said...

The lasr recourse of so-called genuine Catholics : despair of the Holy Ghost's perpetual assistance.

That's enough to know who they are from.

Tom A. said...

That is a good analogy Kathleen. What most people think is the Catholic Church is like a rotten corpse. We humans are made of body and soul. When the soul leaves the body, the body decays and corrupts. So it is with the Church. The body decays and rots since the supernatural element of the Holy Ghost has departed the body of the Church.

Kathleen1031 said...

Anonymous, the pope need not be pro-capitalist, but he must not be both pro-Marxist and loudly political at the same time like this one. If former popes were not capitalists it hardly mattered, they rightly taught the Doctrine of the Faith, and not agitprop for Communism as he does.

What did my last line say, with God all things are possible. You ought to read thoroughly before you condemn someone as originating from Hell.

Michael Dowd said...

If Cardinal Sarah became Pope it would clearly be a miracle and show that God is giving us one more chance to get it right.

The other point is that if we get another Bergoglio the chances of a schism are high.

So, one reason for the Cardinals to vote for Sarah is to prevent a schism. Another scenario is that if Sarah were elected there could be a schism of Modernists which would be great. This would leave a remnant Church and probably signal we are near the end times.

Anyway it's all interesting to think about. And potentially positive.

From what I have read, Pius XII only condemned abuses within Capitalism, not the structure of Capitalism itself.

Kathleen1031 said...

I am such a complete cynic now, but I'm thinking they want Cardinal Sarah to have to announce Tagle or whoever they have picked as the next pope already, and surely they have. I seriously doubt it is coincidence he would have to announce it. To these men, that is probably amusing.

Keep dreaming, just be careful that what you are smoking BEFORE such dreams as this, is completely legal.

NEVER EVER GONNA HAPPEN.

If everyone followed the advice of Fr John O'Conner and withheld all their donations, we just might get Pope who is Pope for all the right reasons.

@Kathleen1031: That is what I was thinking for a moment too. Sick people have a sick sense of humor. It would be fantastic if cardinal Sarah would become pope Pius XIII. But we need a miracle for him to become pope. But if we have another Francis I won't listen to him and to the Vatican. I know what I have to believe and I know what I have to do in order to be saved and no pope can change that. We need to be loyal to Christ first.

Kathleen1031 said...

That's exactly how we feel as well. In a way, even though these times are rough, this has distilled the faith to the essence. We follow Jesus Christ, and while we love the faith, we may no longer "need it", and by that I only mean, if it goes on without us, we'll manage. We'll always be Catholic, and prefer the Latin Rite Mass, but we refuse to live under a cloud of fear, and we certainly refuse to follow apostates. Christ or nothing! If they want to turn the Roman Catholic Church into the Flaming Rainbow Gladiators, they can do it without us.

Tom A. said...

Ralph, your reasoning destroys the Catholic faith in the Papacy. Why do we need a Pope if we just need to be loyal to Christ? You are simply restating Luther's argument.

Tom A. said...

Again Kathleen, like Ralph, why do we need a Pope if we can follow Christ by ourselves?

Anonymous said...

What do you suggest Tom A, if we can’t follow Christ by ourselves? We can need a Pope till Kingdom come, in the meantime what on earth do you suggest we do? I followed the Catholic faith my whole life, not even realizing until the last decade that the Catholic Church changed the whole thing. Can you believe that, I really just thought I personally was stuck with horrible Priests teaching nonsense? Bergoglio made me realize, no it’s just me and some other goons following Catholicism. Everyone else is part of some sweet Catholic Club and they do whatever they feel like and nothing means anything because you believe what you want.

Ralph Engelen said...

@Tom A.: Every pope is bound by his predecessors in doctrine matters, and above all he is bound to the explicit teachings of Christ. When a pope seems to contradict them we don't have to follow him, but must resist him.

Kathleen1031 said...

Ralph answered it here. I know, it's a tough sell, Catholic and Pope and all, I understand. But here we have a situation nobody could have anticipated, decades long scandal of abuse of boys and not a thing done about it, decades long scandal of the church filling up to the top with sodomites such that heterosexual men are harassed out of seminary, loosening of the teaching of Christ and the church, and to it's now unrecognizable form, and obvious heresy from the pope.
I can't make conclusions about what it all means, only God knows, but we as discerning Catholics were told not to follow anyone who came preaching a different Gospel. This pope and these men preach a different Gospel than the one we have heard, learned, and try to live by. Our orders are clear. Do NOT follow them. I'm a simple layperson. Those orders are clear.

Tom A. said...

You have it backwards Ralph. When a Pope teaches, you assent. No Pope has ever taught that the faithful have some sort of special charism from the Holy Ghost that allows them to accurately sift the various magesteriums and accept what is Catholic and reject thay which isnt. That is simply a cafeteria.

Tom A. said...

By refusing to follow Bergolio, you are implicitly denying his authority to teach and therefore his claim to the office.

Tom A. said...

For starters Anon 10:57, seperate yourself from that false religion.

The Catholic Church should simply be dissolved. It has outlived its usefulness. Anarchy is what seems to be desired.

As John, Paul, George and Ringo said:

LET IT BE

I am disgusted with this discussion and David allowing it.

May God damn all of you for your attacks on decency. You are undercutting those of us who have sacrificed, mightily, to follow what our parents taught us.

Screw the Papacy and screw the God damned Catholic Church and all divided Chistianity.

Screw God, as well, if He does not forgive me for rejecting empty Sacraments, as I struggle to remain faithful to our abandoned marriage.

Good bye, David.

I will not bother to read any responses.

Tom A. No Catholic should follow Bergoglio because he has replaced Christ's teaching with his own. There is also good reason to believe that he was illegitimately elected Pope. See Ann Barnhardt.

The Protestantization of the Church became a formal strategy at Vatican II. Bergoglio is the personification and fruition of that Council.

Karl, something tells me you'll be back. Get out of this despair. The Church will go on in spite of these malefactors. Stop it now and get a hold of yourself!

Pray!

Tom A. said...

Michael, all the conciliar popes are just as guilty of heresy as Bergolio is. The election is a red herring. The false evil theology taught by the V2 church is the issue.

Agree that Vatican II has been a catastrophe and must be abrogated in it's entirety. Good book on this: "in the Murky Waters of Vatican II' by Atila Sinke Guimaraes. Available cheap at Amazon.

"The church has grown entirely rotten,..."
I know you don't mean it so, but this statement is actually heretical. The Catholic Church is the Bride of Christ; the Mystical Body of Christ. It cannot rot, nor in any way be imperfect, just as Christ cannot rot nor be imperfect. Only dogged, unreasoning determination and insistence on recognizing the judeo-masonic NWO church of satan as the Catholic Church, can cause such mistaken and false statements.
