Vatican official meets with dissenting and heretical WomynPriestesses a.k.a. Wiccans

The Reverend FatherMother Barbie Bimboglio
Well, well, well. It just keeps getting sicker and more deranged.

Women cannot and will never be ordained to the priesthood. For a Vatican official to agree to meet with any group is a preposterous thing to do and a scandal. To accept a petition on the matter is a disgrace.

Ignore them.

Admonish them.

But never, ever meet with them.

Francis has already affirmed that which was proclaimed by John Paul II. Or, has he? Do these malefactors know something which we don't? Would these Vatican bureaucrats ever have met with such a group under any other Pope?

This is the Church of Pope Francis as the heresiarch Jesuits at America Magazine have told us. This is the corporate makeover and rebranding of the Church of Man as Tom Rosica has been promoting.

It is not the Church of Christ!

It is the "Church of Pope Francis," according to the the Jesuits at America Magazine.

The Church of Dialogue.

CAMPAIGNERS FOR WOMEN'S ORDINATION HAVE UNPRECEDENTED MEETING WITH VATICAN REPRESENTATIVE01 June 2016 | by Christopher Lamb in RomeThe group has been given official permission to hold a public demonstration in the gardens of Castel Sant’Angelo
Campaigners for women's ordination have unprecedented meeting with Vatican representativeCampaigners calling for women priests are meeting in Rome this week where they have launched a poster campaign drawing attention to their cause and they will participate in their first ever official public demonstration.

Women’s Ordination Worldwide, which this year marks its 20th anniversary, wants to re-open dialogue in the Church in spite of Pope John Paul II’s ruling that the matter of female priests should not be discussed.

Despite the ruling, since 2002, around 150 women have been “ordained” and all of them have been excommunicated as a result.
Yesterday evening two of them had an unprecedented meeting with an official from the Vatican Secretariat of State who agreed to give a petition to the Pope calling for the excommunications to be lifted, and who, according to the women, listened to “our heartfelt plea for women priests in our Church”.
Female ordination is prohibited in the Catholic Church on the grounds that Christ chose only male disciples and only a male priest can act “in persona Christi” (in the person of Christ).

Fr Tony Flannery, the Irish Redemptorist priest who was suspended from public ministry by the Vatican due, in part, to his views in favour of female ordination, said the ‘in persona Christi’ argument was like suggesting the “earth is flat”.
Speaking during a panel discussion at the Casa Internazionale delle donne Fr Flannery stressed that women were able to represent the person of Christ.

Also speaking during the discussion today was Dr Marinella Perroni, a theologian at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (an educational institute of the Catholic Church) in Rome, who told the gathering that John Paul II’s edict had led to a “paralysis” and meant some professors had been denounced by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for raising the topic.

She said that ordaining women could lead to “loss of unity” in the Church, but that it was equally unacceptable to have a “discipleship at two speeds”, where men have ministerial authority and women are not properly recognised.
The conference in Rome suggests a renewed confidence in discussing female ordination. Campaigners have been encouraged by Pope Francis’s recent remarks that he wanted to set up a commission to explore the question of women deacons.

For the first time the group has been given official permission to hold a public demonstration in the gardens of Castel Sant’Angelo on Friday, the day that the Pope celebrates a jubilee mass for priests in St Peter’s Square. Members of the women’s ordination group have also been given tickets to attend the Mass.

The pictures on the posters being put around Rome this week include 70 female ‘priests’ from the United States and Colombia photographed by Italian artist Giulia Bianchi as part of an ongoing project.

The gathering this week was organised by Kate McElwee, who is the first woman’s ordination campaigner to be permanently based in Rome.

I'm sure that if a P.I. followed Kate McElwee around long enough, we'd find a sympathetic Roman priest allowing her to practice her sorcery at some ancient roman altar.

Can a Pope be schismatic?

“He would do that if he did not observe that which the Universal Church observes in basing herself on the Tradition of the Apostles, or if he did not observe that which has been ordained for the whole world by the universal councils or by the authority of the Apostolic See. Especially is this true with regard to the divine liturgy, as, for example, if he did not wish personally to follow the universal customs and rites of the Church. This same holds true for other aspects of the liturgy in a very general fashion, as would be the case of one unwilling to celebrate with priestly vestments, or in consecrated places, or with candles, or if he refused to make the sign of the cross as other priests do, or other similar things which, in a general way, relate to perpetual usage in conformity with the Canons."
“By thus separating himself apart, and with obstinacy, from the observance of the universal customs and rites of the Church, the Pope could fall into schism. The conclusion is sound and the premises are not in doubt, since just as the Pope can fall into heresy, so also he
can disobey and transgress with obstinacy that which has been established for the common order of the Church. Thus it is that [Pope] Innocent [III] states (De Consuetudine) that it is necessary to obey a Pope in all things as long as he does not himself go against the universal customs of the Church, but should he go against the universal customs of the church, he ought not to be obeyed….”
(Summa de Ecclesia [1489])
JUAN CARDINAL DE TORQUEMADA theologian of Council of Florence.

“And in this second way the Pope could be schismatic, if he were unwilling to be in normal union with the whole body of the Church, as would occur if he attempted to excommunicate the whole Church, or, as both Cajetan and Torquemada observe, if he wished to overturn the rites of the Church based on Apostolic Tradition.”
“If [the pope] gives an order contrary to right customs, he should not be obeyed; if he attempts to do something manifestly opposed to justice and the common good, it will be lawful to resist him; if he attacks by force, by force he can be repelled, with a moderation appropriate to a just defense.”
(De Fide, Disp. X, Sec. VI, N. 16)

This action tends to suggest sympathy and recognition. And it is in line with the female Deacon study which Pope Francis appears to support.

Vox said..."Would these Vatican bureaucrats ever have met with such a group under any other Pope?"

Vox, Popes have a history of having done things differed, even dramatically, from their predecessors. For example, only under Pope Francis could we have possibly have experienced the dramatic opening that we've witnessed in regard to the SSPX.

Consider the monumental shift in regard to the Ecumenical Movement that Pope Venerable Pius XII instituted within the Church. Via an Encyclical, Pope Pius XI declared:

8. "This being so, it is clear that the Apostolic See cannot on any terms take part in their assemblies, nor is it anyway lawful for Catholics either to support or to work for such enterprises; for if they do so they will be giving countenance to a false Christianity, quite alien to the one Church of Christ."

That was a powerful condemnation of the Ecumenical Movement. However, Pope Pius XI's successor, Pope Venerable Pius XII, declared that the Holy Ghost had inspired the Ecumenical Movement. Pope Venerable Pius XII entered the Church into the Protestant-created Ecumenical Movement.

Prior to the reign of Pope Venerable Pius XII, would the radical liturgical reforms that he approved been possible? No.

That said, unlike the above examples, the action of a "Vatican official" who had spoken with the women's ordination representatives has not altered the Church's irreversible teaching that only men may serve as priests.

Nobody should lose sleep over the story in question.

"Therefore the whole and entire Catholic doctrine is to be presented and explained: by no means is it permitted to pass over in silence or to veil in ambiguous terms the Catholic truth regarding the nature and way of justification, the constitution of the Church, the primacy of jurisdiction of the Roman Pontiff, and the only true union by the return of the dissidents to the one true Church of Christ."
(Holy Office of Pope Pius XII, "On the Ecumenical Movement", 1949.)

"Even on the plea of promoting unity it is not allowed to dissemble one single dogma; for, as the Patriarch of Alexandria warns us, 'although the desire of peace is a noble and excellent thing, yet we must not for its sake neglect the virtue of loyalty in Christ.' Consequently, the much desired return of erring sons to true and genuine unity in Christ will not be furthered by exclusive concentration on those doctrines which all, or most, communities glorying in the Christian name accept in common. The only successful method will be that which bases harmony and agreement among Christ's faithful ones upon all the truths, and the whole of the truths, which God has revealed."
(Pope Pius XII, Encyclical Orientalis Ecclesiae (1944), par. 16.)

"Trusting in God and relying on His ever present help, [St. Benedict] went south and arrived at a fort 'called Cassino situated on the side of a high mountain...; on this stood an old temple where Apollo was worshipped by the foolish country people, according to the custom of the ancient heathens. Around it likewise grew groves, in which even till that time the mad multitude of infidels used to offer their idolatrous sacrifices. The man of God coming to that place broke the idol, overthrew the altar, burned the groves, and of the temple of Apollo made a chapel of St. Martin. Where the profane altar had stood he built a chapel of St. John; and by continual preaching he converted many of the people thereabout'."
(Pope Pius XII, Encyclical Fulgens Radiatur, n. 11, March 21, 1947.) Showing the anti-ecumenical nature of Roman Catholicism and that the true path to the conversion and salvation of people is not to respect their false religions but to lead them out of them into the True Faith.

"Let no Christian therefore, whether philosopher or theologian, embrace eagerly and lightly whatever novelty happens to be thought up from day to day, but rather let him weigh it with painstaking care and a balanced judgment, lest he lose or corrupt the truth he already has, with grave danger and damage to his faith."
(Pope Pius XII, Encyclical Humani Generis, par. 30, 1950.)

Vox, you are correct. This is not the Church of Christ. There isn't any such thing as the "Church of Pope Francis". It is important to note that His Holiness Pope Francis has never come close to having presented an entity known as the "Church of Pope Francis". We are dealing with people who have spun Pope Francis to serve an agenda.

Vox, last week you posted the recent address in Washington, D.C., that Robert Cardinal Sarah presented to those assembled at National Catholic Prayer Breakfast. Cardinal Sarah praised Amoris Laetitia as well as Pope Francis. Cardinal Sarah declared the following:

"In his post-synodal Exhortation on the Family, Amoris Lætitia (“The Joy of Love”), Pope Francis states clearly: “In no way must the Church desist from proposing the full ideal of marriage, God’s plan in all its grandeur … proposing less than what Jesus offers to the human being.”

"This is why the Holy Father openly and vigorously defends Church teaching on contraception, abortion, homosexuality, reproductive technologies, the education of children and much more."

Vox, that is reality of Pope Francis' Pontificate. As Cardinal Sarah made clear, Pope Francis holds fast to and proclaims to the world Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Jesus Christ's True Church.

In fairness to Pope Francis, we must never link him to the absurd "Church of Pope Francis" that certain folks have invented. That "Church" exists only in the minds of people who have spun Pope Francis to advance an agenda that differs greatly from that which Pope Francis has proclaimed.

Again, as Cardinal Sarah made clear, Pope Francis has proclaimed Jesus Christ. As Cardinal Sarah said, Pope Francis "openly and vigorously defends Church teaching..."

Yes, Pope Benedict, er... I mean Bergoglio,
I mean Francis, whichever one you pick, defends Tradition.

Like the FFI being suppressed because their members
denounced the Masonic Lodges of Florence
(H/T Eponymous Flower).

Statements like "there is no Catholic God." Oh what a Lion of
Tradition is one of those two Popes,
I mean two of those one Pope(s).

Anyway, everything is FINE. GREAT. Nothing to see here.
If Catholics don't like what Bergoglio is doing,
so much the worse for Catholicism.

well, if you don't meet with them, you can't really admonish them very effectively. Not that I anticipate any admonishing to occur at the meeting, but one can hope.

These women just want to stir-up trouble like their compatriots in the Women's Liberation Movement. They do not represent women and most of them are obviously lesbian. They should not receive the publicity they crave as this gives the impression that they are speaking for women everywhere. Just ignore them and they might go away and work for a living instead. Who pays for all this disturbance anyway?

Vox Cantoris said...

Women's liberation? Oh, they've been so successful a man (Bruce Jenner) was declared Woman of the Year!

Yes, but he's already talking of changing back again so it apparently wasn't what he wanted after all. He should have listened to his spouses. Had to learn the hard way, but they say any publicity is good publicity. I wouldn't know, of course LOL.
