The magical god of Covid - the new religion of Doug Ford and the buy-in by Thomas Cardinal Collins

Effective at midnight tonight, the draconian restrictions by Ontario Politburo chief Doug Ford come into effect for our churches. The already ridiculous occupancy limit of fifteen percent becomes a return to a maximum of ten persons.

The magic god of Covid is coming tonight. You see, he was not here Saturday morning for those who attended Our Lady's Mass or Saturday evening for the Vigil Mass and not this morning for any Masses whatsoever. Everyone was safe and secure from the magic god of Covid. But not tomorrow! No, not tomorrow. Just like magic, he comes at midnight so tomorrow in Doug Ford's Ontario there are only ten people allowed at Mass. But that is not even good enough for Thomas Collins. For him, there shall be none!

Doug Ford is a fraud as a conservative. Forced to back off his Martial Law order because the police in Ontario have more respect for the people and told the government to flick off, Ford is in disgrace.

Worse is Thomas Cowardinal Collins who should have immediately issued an order to his priests that none shall comply and thrown the gauntlet down upon Ford.

The Gospel today for Good Shepherd Sunday, the Second Sunday After Easter in the traditional rite of Holy Mass speaks volumes. It needs to the description from me. It says it all.

GOSPEL John 10:11-16.

At that time, Jesus said to the Pharisees: "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

"I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd."

Romans 1:22 For professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I'm surprised the police for once told him to get lost.

Hopefully the police will do better and stop harassing reporters like The Rebel, and refuse to kidnap new arrivals at the airport to ship them off to the camps.

Catholics should also tell Cardinal Collins, "No!"

He has squandered any semblance of authority he had.

All I can say is that I am praying every day for those who are denied the Sacraments and for those who are isolated, neglected, lonely, or abused. I can attend daily Mass and have a daily opportunity for confession because my pastor does not live in fear. No masks, etc. either. And--NO sickness either. All that shuttering of the churches is demonic! It is not about your physical health and certainly is meant to be against your spiritual health.

Peace, tranquility, and contentment be with us all, as we meditate on the beauty of the interdict on public Mass.

...new levels of depravity and wickedness from the diocese of Hamilton. Can a bishop order a priest to be silent about an issue that directly relates to the good of the faithful?

Are there any Toronto priests out there who are desperate to serve Our Lord to His people? Let them come to Church of the Good Shepherd in Oshawa, get a crash course in offering the Ordinariate Mass and start feeding God's people. Let them get primed for the Resistance! This may be their last chance to prove their mettle before they have every other opportunity taken away from them by our Covid masters and thus meet the Lord Jesus Christ with empty hands! But be warned, we receive Our Lord kneeling and on the tongue only!

And God bless Father Tilley!

Indeed! God bless Father Tilley who is the parish priest at Church of the Good Shepherd. We have had other Archdiocesan priests who have learned the Ordinariate Mass and who have filled in for Father Tilley at times. So we know that it can be done and that there are few if any impediments involved. So what is stopping bored priests from coming to knock on our doors so they can get back to their vocations of offering sacrifice, feeding God's people, forgiving sins and opening the doors of God's Church to the whole world? Is anybody out there listening?

Catholics and all church-going Christians need to communicate their dissatisfaction with the Ontario Conservative Party -- immediately & often.

Capacity limits, although frustrating, at least allow churches to open. Same with restaurants, gyms, movie theatres, libraries, museums, etc. If the idea is to avoid crowds (for fear of spreading Covid) then capacity limits at least allow such places to stay open, while avoiding larger crowds. Frustrating, but bearable (at least temporarily).

What's not bearable is shutting down places of worship -- and much of what makes society what it is. Not to mention small businesses, which have been hard-hit.

When you think of the Ontario Conservative Party, its rich history may come to mind. Small town Ontario, the little church on the corner, small business-men, etc.

Saying "okay, churches should close, but the Amazon distribution centre can stay open" runs contrary to that history.

Those independent MPPs who have left the Ontario Conservative Party need our support. We know that Monte McNaugthon and Stephen Lecce are sympathetic to our side. Well, they need to either talk sense into Ford, or stop propping him up.

In the meantime, all of us need to let the Ontario Conservative Party know that they have taken us for granted. Better to vote for a "fringe" party candidate or an independent (such as Randy Hillier) than vote Conservative -- unless / until others start speaking up.

You do realize that notwithstanding Ford, it is Collins and some of his ilk that shut down the Mass.
