Benedict XVI denies professor's claim - states that all Fatima secrets have been released

It is reported that the Emeritus Pope, Benedict XVI, has issued a statement through the Vatican Communications Office on the matter of the Fatima secrets. Last week on this blog, we reported on a story from One Peter 5, that a friend of then Cardinal Ratzinger, Fr. Dollinger, disclosed certain information that the full Secret was not released. This is the same person who provided this information a few years ago to Father Paul Kramer and published by the Fatima Center.

Perhaps prudence has kept the Popes from releasing all the Secret. Perhaps we do not need to know what it contains, some say; but what we must have is faithfulness to the message. Yet, Our Lady did ask for it to be released by 1960, so who are any of us to question it. Unless of course, she did not and, therefore, Sister Lucia must have been delusional. Are we to believe she was? because that is the implication. She was delusional. Well then, that begs a few questions. Why do we have churches, schools, statues of and a feast day for Our Lady of Fatima. It makes no sense. Why does the Church accept that Our Lady actually did appear at Fatima but on the rest, the children, Lucy specifically, were wrong, deluded and the Church has committed a great fraud. Why don't they just admit it?

What we also must know, is this; why has the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary not been done. The fact is, it has not been done and notwithstanding comments that it has been done, you cannot point to its event in history. Not Pius XII, not John Paul II. They did not do it. It was never done and I will repeat, it cannot be pointed to in history.

The fact is, Fatima happened and it can be pointed to in history. Our Lady appeared, the sun danced, people were cured. Are we to believe that everything after that was made up? Why then did popes and prelates continue to meet with Sister Lucy. it cannot be because she was delusional. It makes no sense.

Now, back to Papa Ratzinger's alleged statement. I write alleged because it is from the Vatican Communications Office. Truly, are we to believe these people but not the old professor? We know some who work and advise there, correct? They are media experts and engage in lawsuits and internet screeds when called out. It was also a harsh comment not in keeping with Ratzinger's style and temperament. Let the comment come directly from him or written by him and delivered by his secretary or on video.

Quite frankly, I don't believe it.

Are we to believe that there is no comment on Amoris Laetitia, no comment on the Synods, no comment on anything, but on this, the Emeritus Pope comments?

Bovine excrement! These Vatican manipulators have no credibility. If anything, we must now crank it up a notch.

Something more.

Their response is also astounding. For years, they ignored the Fatima Center and the late Father Nicholas Gruner. But blogs, they respond to.

Blogs and Fatima must clearly disturb these people.

VOX - Yes! You and Steve Skojec are, in my opinion, on the money! And it is a crying shame! Sad beyond words!
But GOD is not mocked! Let the wicked "fall by their own counsels"!
I m now battening down - awaiting the barrage of refutation via three or more lengthy posts - from your favourite commenter! Kyrie Eleison !

Given the corruption in the Vatican at this time, we have no assurance that Pope Benedict was even consulted about this response. What seems probable is that those with the power within the walls of the Vatican spoke 'for him'. It is indeed salient that the reported message about the incompletely--revealed third secret resulted in such a rise from the Vatican. Frankly, I do not think Pope Benedict had anything to say about this latest Vatican response. These Vatican personages are not to be trusted at all..

We are to believe that Benedict is mute on all the evils that Francis daily commits when they are blasted across major news media but gets wind of this tiny bit of Catholic blog news and makes a public rwbuttal? Bullshit!

Yes, I agree with Steve and you. Given its source, content and language I take it as a confirmation rather than a denial.

Issuing a public statement through the Vatican Press Office is as reliable as issuing a pro-life message through Planned Parenthood.

This unsigned statement attributed to Pope Benedict XVI is misleading. To learn what the still unpublished part of the Third Secret is and why attempts are made by anonymous Vatican officials to mislead the faithful to dismiss Fatima, see on YouTube the documentary Akita and the Fatima Secret. After viewing this film you can also better understand why Our Lady of Fresno is crying in California (see the May 9 ABC News report or google Our Lady of Freso on YouTube). With the 100th anniversary of the Fatima dancing of the sun miracle approaching, everyone should invest the time to know the truth and the book Defeating the Brotherhood of Death is highly recommended. May the peace of our Lord be with you!

What strikes me as almost laughable is the fact that Benedict has not spoken of ANYTHING since his abdication, at least nothing publicly, nothing of the too numerous to name anti Catholic rantings from this Papacy, but because a blogger in the U.S. publishes a few articles on Fatima, he speaks out? Not only does he speak out, but he accuses Fr. Dollinger and highly respected jounalists of LYING?? LOL!! That's NOT the Benedict I know! That's the complete opposite of the Benedict known and loved by so many faithful. Plus the fact that all one has to do is look at who is on the forefront of Vatican communications for the English speaking world. Our 'much loved' and 'trusted'? Fr. Thomas Rosica? If anyone believes a word of this, well........I have a nice piece of land in Florida to sell you too!!

The headline should say, "Vatican says that Benedict says..."

I totally agree with you. Barbara. When one looks at the homilies of Pope Benedict XVI, they are very scholarly, almost like a doctoral dissertation. This is NOT his style, plus he would not contradict his old friend.

To paraphrase Shakespeare: Something's rotten in the Vatican. The only way the crisis in the Church will end is through the revelation of the Third Secret of Fatima, I.e. the exact words of Our Lady which follow: "In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved..." and the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Dear Vox,

Thank you for the magnificent post. I agree with you 200%. This is not the style of Pope Benedict, as I mentioned to Barbara.

In my opinion (I'm really trying to be charitable here), someone is putting words in the mouth of Benedict XVI, and I don't like it.

Keep up the good fight. Vox! Thank you and God bless!

In Christ the King,

Margaret

Something some may have missed.

Act 1 , Two actors , one in the White House and one in the Vatican. Reagan and Pope John Paul Two, both thespians in their previous lives.
Act 2, Two socialists ( communists ) ,one in the White House and one in the Vatican,
Obama and Pope Francis, both trained in Marxist Communism.
Act 3, Perhaps a violent struggle for a globalist government?

Lest you vehemently object ,ponder these points..........

Nothing destroys a nation's society better than a total loss of morality i.e.read Rerum Novarum .
Argentina was the first nation to legalize same sex marriage.
Obama has placed more openly LGBT persons in jobs in his Administration then any other President.

The October 1981 issue of the German magazine Stimme des Glaubens reported on a discussion that Pope John Paul II had with a select group of German Catholics, in November of 1980. The following is a verbatim report of the discussion:1

Text of the Published Report

The Holy Father was asked, "What about the Third Secret of Fatima? Should it not have already been published by 1960?"

Pope John Paul II replied: "Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves.

"On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired."

The Pope continued: "Many wish to know simply from curiosity and a taste for the sensational, but they forget that knowledge also implies responsibility. They only seek the satisfaction of their curiosity, and that is dangerous if at the same time they are not disposed to do something, and if they are convinced that it is impossible to do anything against evil."

At this point the Pope grasped a Rosary and said: "Here is the remedy against this evil. Pray, pray, and ask for nothing more. Leave everything else to the Mother of God." http://www.fatima.org/thirdsecret/fulda.asp

Sr. Lucia set the date of 1960, not Our Lady, and Lucia said it was up to the discretion of the Pope to make public the contents - or not. Sr. Lucia made it clear that the essential part of the message for the faithful to know was known since 1917.

You misrepresent the facts and are misled.

Pope Benedict XVI made a statement about Fatima via the Vatican Press Office.
The Vatican Press Office is getting way out of hand, they have become uncontrollable. Is this the same old blooming nonsense that went viral among the C Jorge's fan club?
It went like this,
Pope Benedict resigned 'because God told him to do it, he said the more he sees the "charisma" of Pope Francis, his successor, the more he is convinced that it was "the will of God" that he became the first pontiff in 600 years to resign.
Then we got the truth!
The personal secretary for former Pope Benedict XVI now says a recent news report that the pontiff had a “mystical experience” in which God instructed him to resign is simply nonsense.
“There is nothing true in that story,” Archbishop Georg Gaenswein told the Italian TV channel Canale 5.
One thing i have learnt over the last three years is, "Do Not believe" everything that comes out of the Vatican Press Office.

Archbishop Gänswein has said that PB didn't abandon the Papacy but side-stepped to allow for an expanded ministry - one contemplative member & one active member. This is not in keeping with Tradition so is questionable. By this theory, if PF decided to retire before the demise of PB we would have a threesome foisted upon us mirroring the Holy Trinity, so to speak. This explanation of PB's abdication isn't rational and, in fact, sounds heretical.

If PB wanted to relinquish the power of the Papal Office for a contemplative life he could have done this by simply retiring to a monastery. He has not contradicted AL or any of the heresies of this Papacy and we are still awaiting for the Consecration of Russia & the revealing of the Third Secret of Fatima which he could do if he is still one-half of this Papacy.

In years past, Sister Lucia reiterated several times, and to several people, that Our Lady willed that the third part of the secret be disclosed no later than 1960, which is the reason Sister Lucia was insistent on that date.

The source of the idea that Sister Lucia set the date herself comes from one person: Cardinal Bertone, who interviewed Sister Lucia privately.

No one has ever been able to verify whether he told the truth because the upper hierarchy never allowed Sister Lucia to speak for herself.

Personally, I don't believe him for one second. There is no reason to believe him, and every reason NOT to believe him.

The cardinal's assertion is ridiculous. Why would Sister Lucia, in the 1940s, pick the date of 1960 out of thin air?

Any person with half a brain could figure out that the reason Sister Lucia mentioned 1960 is because Our Lady gave her that date.

It's not rocket science.

When did Sister Lucia ever make such a statement?

"The essential part of the message" was not revealed in 1917, so how could it possibly be known since then?

Sister Lucia did not disclose the first two parts of the secret until she wrote her memoirs in the 1940s.

You don't believe in statement issued by the Vatican office, fair enough. But you believe hearsay from a priest (Dollinger) who is likewise unreliable. There is no proof here. Just 'He said /he said' . You believe this gossip about an 'undisclosed part of the secret' because, quite frankly, you want to.
And what are the fruits, pray tell? Curiositas (a vice). Suspicion. Criticism. Contempt. Division. Infighting. And Satan laughs.
