Open Letter to Pope Francis From a Former Member of the Roman Curia

OnePeterFive has obtained the permission and full translation of the original publisher of an "Open Letter to Pope Francis From a Former Member of the Roman Curia. It is signed "A Chaplain of Your Holiness," meaning, it was written by a Monsignor. To protect his superiors, he has determined it necessary to stay anonymous.

The letter is a direct and frontal wake-up call to the Pope and to us. I will give the headings but for the rest, please visit OnePeterFive.

http://www.onepeterfive.com/open-letter-to-pope-francis-from-a-former-member-of-the-roman-curia/

Holy Father,
On the occasion of your Christmas Allocution in 2014, you called on your curial employees to make first an examination of conscience. Indeed, Advent is an occasion to reflect upon the promises of God and what He expects from us. You claimed that your employees had to be an example for the whole Church, and you then listed a several “illnesses” from which, in your view, the Curia is now suffering. At the time, I had considered this statement to be rather harsh – yes, even unjust – against so many in the Vatican whom I know personally – while you were talking, instead, as if you knew the Vatican, but either only from the outside or only from above. Nevertheless, this speech of yours has actually inspired me to write this letter to you. Following your own example, I shall omit to speak about all the good that you are doing and are speaking and I shall thus only list those aspects of your exercise of the papal office which seem to me to be problematic:
1. An emotional and anti-intellectual attitude of yours which is often tangible and which has difficulties in dealing with theories and doctrines
The alternative to the Teaching Church is the Arbitrary Church, and not the Merciful Church. Among not a few of your own chosen employees and close counselors, there is to be found a true lack of competence, both in teaching and in theology; these men .. think rather all too often in pragmatic and political terms. ...
2. Authoritarianism
You are distancing yourself from the wisdom which is preserved in the Church’s traditional discipline, in Canon Law, and also in the historical practices of the Curia. Together with your disdain for (supposedly) theoretical teaching, this propensity leads to an authoritarianism of which even the founder of your Order of Jesuits, St. Ignatius himself, would not approve. ...
3. A populism of change
Today, it is popular to call for change. However, especially the Successor of Peter has to remind himself and others of that which changes only slowly, and even more so of that which does not change at all. Do you really believe that the approval which you receive from the opinion-makers in the realm of politics and of the media is a good sign? ...
4. Your own conduct is seen as a critique of how your (often canonized) predecessors have lived, talked, and acted
I cannot recognize how this attitude comports with the humility which you have so many times invoked and demanded. ... Your conduct implicitly proposes the idea that you intend to re-invent somehow the Petrine Office. ...
5. Pastoralism
Only recently, you said that you especially like those parts of the papacy where you can act like a pastor. Of course, neither a pope nor a pastor should raise any doubts as to whether the Church is following the teaching of Christ ...
6. Exaggerated display of the simplicity of your own way of life
Of course, you want to set an example – but is it better for you yourself to take care of all kinds of daily chores? ...
7. A particularism which often subjugates the goals and purposes of the Universal Church under the viewpoints of only a part of the Church
This attitude appears nearly comical with regard to a pope. ...
8. An urge for constant spontaneity
A lack of professionalism is not a sign for the working of the Holy Ghost. Expressions like “to breed like rabbits,” or “Who am I to judge…?”  ...
9. Lack of clarity about the interconnectedness of religious, political, and economic freedom
Many of your statements indicate that the state should rule more, control more, and be responsible for more areas, ... history has proven wrong the idea that the state can take care of everything. ... The welfare state can also become too powerful, and with it, too paternalistic, authoritarian, and illiberal.
10. Meta-Clericalism
On the one hand, you show very little interest in the clergy, on the other hand, you criticize a clericalism which is more of a phantom than something that is real. .... Like me, many others have difficulties with the way you sometimes talk and act. But that can be fixed, if it becomes clear that you listen to what others have to tell you. Unfortunately, I know that you are not yet capable of dealing well with such criticism – that is why I do not put my name on this letter. I want to protect my superiors against your wrath, especially the priests and bishops with whom I have worked for many years in Rome and from whom I have learned so much. You might want to work on taking away such fears – from me and from others – or, even better, to make such letters as this one superfluous, namely, by learning something from others.
In this spirit, may you have a blessed and contemplative Season of Advent!

And you thought the Sodomy Synod was the end of it - silly you.

Are you, dear Catholic, prepared to tithe to support the wives and many, many children of non-contracepting (tongue firmly planted in cheek) Catholic married clergy?

What happened to being wed to the "Bride of Christ?"

So, it is all up for grabs.

Communion for adulterers.

Nice words for sodomites

What's next Jorge?

The Next Synod Is Already in the Works. On Married Priests

In mid-February Pope Francis will go to Chiapas, where hundreds of deacons with their wives are pushing to be ordained as priests. And in the Amazon as well the turning point seems to be near. It was all written down in the agenda of Cardinal Martini

by Sandro Magister
ROME, December 9, 2015 - While waiting for Pope Francis to rule on communion for the divorced and remarried, which two synods discussed and split over, there is already a glimpse of the theme of the next synodal session: married priests.

The selection of the theme is up to the pope, as happened with the past synods and will take place with the next, independently of what will be proposed by the fourteen cardinals and bishops of the council that acts as a bridge between one assembly and the next.

And that married priests will be the next topic of synodal discussion can be gathered from various indications.

Pagan satanic worshippers take over St. Peter's Basilica

Muslims take over St. Peter's Basilica - immediately deny Jesus Christ, subjugate women

"Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father. He that confesseth the Son, hath the Father also. As for you, let that which you have heard from the beginning, abide in you. If that abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning, you also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father." 1 John 2: 22-24.

Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.”

St. Peter's Basilica burns - invaded by Arabians on camels

Oh sorry, it was a desert sunset projected on to the Temple of God with the approval of Jorge Bergoglio, the Pope of Rome.

What an abomination and disgrace. People died today at the hands of Islamists. Babies murdered in the womb. This is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Pope and his minions have disgraced Her feast and the Church.

The Pope should be ashamed of this joke.

I guess I'll be excommunicated for this.

So let it be written.

So let it be done.

So mote it be, eh?

In reparation for the blasphemous display in Rome - Eia, mea labia

In reparation for the blasphemous display at St. Peter's Basilica and in honour of the glorious and ever Virgin Mary's Immaculate Conception, I am honoured to present here for your peace and edification and mediation a hymn with original music composed by my good friend Jon Parr Vijinski and sung by Marie Parr.

It shows the beauty of our great God and Lord's creation interspersed with artwork of the Blessed Mother with the text selected from the "Little Office of the Immaculate Conception" (Officium parvum Conceptionis Immaculatae).

An Urgent Appeal to Pope Francis to Either Change Course or Renounce the Petrine Office
December 8, 2015
Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Your Holiness:
Pope Celestine V (r. 1294), recognizing his incapacity for the office to which he had so unexpectedly been elected as the hermit Peter of Morrone, and seeing the grave harm his bad governance had caused, resigned the papacy after a reign of only five months. He was canonized in 1313 by Pope Clement V. Pope Boniface VIII, removing any doubt about the validity of such an extraordinary papal act,
confirmed in perpetuity (ad perpetuam rei memoriam) that “the Roman Pontiff may freely resign.”
A growing number of Catholics, including cardinals and bishops, are coming to recognize that your pontificate, also the result of an unexpected election, is likewise causing grave harm to the Church. It has become impossible to deny that you lack either the capacity or the will to do what your predecessor rightly observed a pope must do: “constantly bind himself and the Church to obedience to God’s Word, in the face of every attempt to adapt it or water it downand every form of opportunism.”

Go ahead and excommunicate me

Who is this Archbishop Fisichella that dares threaten the Catholic faithful who may criticize the Pope with excommunication? As outrageous as it seems, that is exactly what he has done. On this eve of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Year of Mercy begins. As part of this special Year, the Pope has appointed 800 priests and given them personal faculties with no interference permitted by any diocesan bishop when these priests enter a diocese. They are to forgive sins reserved to the Holy See.

Well, it is not to forgive sins but to lift the canonical penalty for the offenses which one could be excommunicated.

They will tell you that it includes women who have procured an abortion, but this is not the case. Long ago, this authority was delegated to the bishops and then to the priest in most places of the world so that women suffering from post-abortive distress would seek the spiritual salve of the Sacrament and return to the faith. Yes, that is mercy.

But what are the others?

Fisichella and FrancisProfanation of the Holy Eucharist to be sure is a most heinous crime. How many still pour the Precious Blood down the sink, let alone a sacrarium and equally as blasphemous, whether out of ignorance or disbelief in the Real Presence. But these are not held accountable as it happens in the course of the team of "Eucharistic Ministers." The wording is "one who throws away the consecrated species or, for a sacrilegious purpose, takes them away or keeps them”;

What others?

Well, what layman has broken the seal of the confessional?

Since the laity are not priests well, it doesn't apply; specifically, a confessor who directly violates the sacramental seal”; and a confessor who absolves “an accomplice in a sin against the sixth commandment of the Decalogue.”

Have you consecrated a bishop lately or received it without a papal mandate? Perhaps they can show some mercy to Bishop Richard Williamson as I know no other but him.

But here is the big one.

"A person who uses physical force against the Roman Pontiff."

Fisichella now says  “I would say that we need to understand well ‘physical violence,’ because sometimes words, too, are rocks and stones, and therefore I believe some of these sins, too, are far more widespread than we might think.”

Who is he speaking of?

What on earth are these 800 priests to do? How many penitents are there in these categories for the Holy See to lift the canonical penalties?

Reading Fisischella, one realises how fishy this year of false mercy really is. Perhaps he might wish to consult one of the world's leading Canonists, Dr. Edward Peters.

A blessed Punch a Heretic Day to you, a.k.a. The Feast of St. Nicholas

I can think of a few I'd like to slap.

"As Arius vigorously continued, Nicholas became more and more agitated. Finally, he could no longer bear what he believed was essential being attacked. The outraged Nicholas got up, crossed the room, and slapped Arius across the face! The bishops were shocked. It was unbelievable that a bishop would lose control and be so hotheaded in such a solemn assembly. They brought Nicholas to Constantine. Constantine said even though it was illegal for anyone to strike another in his presence, in this case, the bishops themselves must determine the punishment. The bishops stripped Nicholas of his bishop's garments, chained him, and threw him into jail. That would keep Nicholas away from the meeting. When the Council ended a final decision would be made about his future.
Nicholas was ashamed and prayed for forgiveness, though he did not waver in his belief. During the night, Jesus and Mary his Mother, appeared,* asking, "Why are you in jail?" "Because of my love for you," Nicholas replied. Jesus then gave the Book of the Gospels to Nicholas. Mary gave him an omophorion, so Nicholas would again be dressed as a bishop. Now at peace, Nicholas studied the Scriptures for the rest of the night."

I saw Santa punching Arius

I saw Santa punching Arius
in the council chambers at Nicaea.

He just couldn’t stand
to hear the heretic expand
his theory how Our Blessed Lord
was not much more than just a man.

Then I saw Santa grabbing Arius
by the beard to pull him off his chair.
The other bishops were justified,
in assuming this was undignified
throwing Santa in a cell for the night.

I saw Jesus and His Mother
come to Santa praying in his chains.

Christ asked, “Why are you here?”
“All for my love of You.”
Off fell the chains and to him was given
the pallium and the Gospels.

St. Nick went back up to the chamber
amazing everyone at the sight.
They said, “It must have been righteous anger!”
“It is Arius we must excommunicate.”
"The Son is consubstantial with the Father."

Madness: Pope and Vatican officials to disgrace Our Lord's Church and the Blessed Mother in league with the world - Bishops and Cardinals, the time has come to end this insanity!

What a disgrace upon our Church.

This papacy must be called out for what it is. An abomination on Catholicism.

You dare do this on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Have you no fear of God to mock His Mother and Our Mother the Church in this envelope of darkness. This is not light, this is evil, pure unadulterated evil. This is satanic manipulated by Heresiarch Fischella under the watchful eye of Bergoglio. Is it not enough that the Catholic divorce motu proprio was signed on Her Assumption, announced on Her Nativity and comes into force on the day of Her Immaculate Conception? Now, you malefactors in Rome mock Her with the dark light of the world and technology?

Enough!

Bishops and Cardinals of the world. Enough of this mockery of the Church. Enough of this slander of the Blessed Mother. Enough of this diabolical disorientation. Call out the Jorge Bergoglio for this embarrassment. Call out him and Fischella for this scandalous fornication with the world.

Stop this mockery! Challenge this peronist regime. If you can't fight for Christ and his people then you are no better than these malefactors that would do such a thing.

I can barely contain my rage. Call me Jorge? There are other names to call him.

Vatican, World Bank partner to launch Year of Mercy with St. Peter’s ‘climate change’ light show

ROME, December 4, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) -- The Catholic Church, founded to shed the light of Christ on the world, has quite literally invited the world to shed its light on her. On December 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception as well as the opening of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, Pope Francis has invited climate-change partisans and population-control advocates to project a light show onto the façade and cupola of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome — the most important church in the Catholic world — so as to “inspire change around the climate crisis.”
The show titled “Illuminating Our Common Home” will project onto St. Peter’s “images of our shared natural world” in order to “educate and inspire change around the climate crisis across generations, cultures, languages, religions and class,” states a press release about the event put out by one of the sponsors.
The Vatican’s spokesperson for the event, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the president of the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, called the event “unique…for its genre and for the fact that it is being displayed for the first time on such a significant backdrop.”
“These illuminations will present images inspired of Mercy, of humanity, of the natural world, and of climate changes,” Fisichella said.
Fisichella said that the light show on the Vatican is meant to link Pope Francis’ environment encyclical Laudato si’ with the United Nations Climate Change Conference (Cop21) currently underway in Paris. The Vatican has shown strong support for the conference.  Having the show conclude the opening Year of Mercy celebrations also links the pope’s message about “mercy” to fighting “climate change.”
Life and family leaders around the world remain skeptical about the Paris conference’s alleged agenda of fighting so-called “anthropogenic” global warming, with some warning that “saving the Planet” in climate-speak translates to an anti-human enterprise that targets nations, societies, and families.
The event, billed as “contemporary public art,” is sponsored by organizations named after Greek and Roman pagan gods that push the climate change agenda and by an organization that directly funds abortions in developing countries.

Behind the show

The main financial backer behind the event is the US-led World Bank Group via its Connect4Climate initiative. The World Bank, created in 1945 to rebuild a war-torn Europe, has a long history (here, here, or here) of relentlessly funding abortion and contraception programs in developing nations under the banner of “ending extreme poverty” and “boosting shared prosperity.” Pro-life leaders have denounced the programs time and again as thinly veiled population control programs aimed at reducing populations considered by Western elites to be undesirable. The organization, through its World Bank Spiritual Unfoldment Society (SUS), also has ties to non-Christian religious practices where employees engage in transhumanistic “meditation sessions” that aim at “personal transformation through self-knowledge, understanding, and awakening higher consciousness.”
Vulcan Inc., founded in 1986 by investor and philanthropist Paul G. Allen, is a private company based out of Seattle, Washington, that “strives to create a new kind of future” by “upend[ing] conventional thinking.” The company was deliberately named after the Roman god Vulcan, the deity of destructive fire, whose earliest known shrine existed in Rome at the foot of the Capitoline Hill, close by the Vatican.
Vulcan’s website states that its founder thought the name seemed fitting for a company “whose mission was to find smart solutions for some of the world’s biggest challenges.”
Another partner of the event is Okeanos, an environmentalist foundation begun in 2007 by Dieter Paulmann with the purpose of raising awareness “concerning the various threats our oceans are facing.” The foundation focuses on “planning, financing and implementation of projects that encompass positive change and make a difference.” It rails against what it calls the “sins against climate committed by…the present generation in particular,” which include “man-made environmental pollution (oil slicks, sewage, chemicals, CO2 production)” as well as “noise pollution (overly loud ships’ engines, sonar experiments).”
The foundation is named after the Greek and Roman Titan god “Okeanos” who was held to be the divine personification of the sea whose fish in one hand and serpent in the other signified his gifts of bounty and prophecy.
Obscura Digital, the San Francisco-based organization putting on the actual show, has its name derived from the Latin root meaning “dark.” The company specializes in creating “immersive experiences that will change the way you think about the world around you” using holographic projections, 3D animation, and dynamic visualization.
Obscura’s team of artists, coders, builders, and technologists are masters of manipulation through light and sound. The organization has in the past (here and here) worked on climate change projects with the UN to show the “effect of human enterprise on the environment” and to issue a “call for global solutions.” The organization’s clients include Apple, Google, Disney, Vulcan Productions, Nike, Nasa, Facebook, and UNESCO.

Dark and forbidding symbolism

There is much dark and forbidding symbolism behind the event and the organizations sponsoring it that is bizarrely connected to pagan occult practices, the worship of nature, and human sacrifice through abortion and population control.
The show is titled “Fiat Lux: Illuminating Our Common Home.” “Fiat Lux” is the first command issued by God at the beginning of creation: “Let there be light.” Instead of the Church presenting Jesus Christ as the light of the world, secular organizations named after pagan gods are literally “obscuring” the Church through their own dazzling light show. St. Paul warns the Corinthians to be on guard about Satan who he says “masquerades as an angel of light.” It’s as if through this phrase the organizers are symbolically taking the place of God and creating the world anew according to their own image and likeness.
The light show takes place on the most important Marian feast day for Catholics, the Immaculate Conception, in which Catholics celebrate Mary being conceived in the womb of her mother Anne without the stain of original sin. Mary has always been viewed by Catholics as an archetype of the Church since she carried Christ within her as the first tabernacle and then bore him into the world. The light show will project onto St. Peter’s, a building representative of Mary, images of earth and animals on her most important feast day. It is amounts to a crude dishonoring of Our Lady.
The World Bank with its hands bloodied by abortion and population control has no place working with the Vatican on a show that allegedly will reveal to the world images of what Archbishop Fisichella called “mercy, of humanity.” This is simply sick and twisted.
The show will certainly contain many “signs and wonders,” but Catholics must decide for themselves how to interpret them.

Benedict XVI and Francis on "fundamentalism"

"Today, having a clear faith based on the Creed of the Church is often labeled as fundamentalism. Whereas relativism, that is, letting oneself be "tossed here and there, carried about by every wind of doctrine", seems the only attitude that can cope with modern times. We are building a dictatorship of relativism that does not recognize anything as definitive and whose ultimate goal consists solely of one's own ego and desires."- Pope Benedict XVI
“Fundamentalism is a sickness that is in all religions,” said the Pontiff. “We Catholics have some — and not some, many — who believe they possess the absolute truth and go ahead dirtying the other with calumny, with disinformation, and doing evil. They do evil. I say this because it is my Church.” - - Francis, Bishop of Rome

Vatican Radio employes Anglican "warden" -- interviews advocate for women priests!

In more insanity emanating from the Peronist Papacy, Vatican Radio employs a public announcer/interviewer Phillipa Hitchen, a "warden" at the Anglican parish in Rome of  All Saints.  Barona at Toronto Catholic Witness has the full story.

She interviews a "priestess" from her own heretical "church" featured at the right.

Had enough yet?

Well, here is a quote from her interview with the Director of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference Office for the Participation of Women:

While, for now, the door might be closed on the issue of the ordination of women, Pope Francis has certainly opened many windows to the aggiornamento or 'bringing up to date' of our thinking around the role of women in decision-making and leadership in our Church.
My dream is for a Church that is a genuine sign of the Reign of God on Earth. I want to be a member of a community of faith that exemplifies in its practices and structures the Gospel values that I hold dear – values such as unconditional love, social justice, inclusivity, diversity, equality, forgiveness and hope. I want a Church that I can point to and say, 'That is where I learnt to be who I am".

Bishops and Cardinals, the time has come to challenge the insanity of this Peronist Papacy and the malefactors that are destroying the Faith.

How dare you stand by and do nothing.

Folk Music Instead of Choral --- Schola Gregoriana Mediolanensis Shown the Door

Schola Gregoriana Mediolanensis
(Milan) The famous Schola Gregoriana Mediolanensis of Milan, which is dedicated to the care of Gregorian and Ambrosian chant, has been removed from the Basilica of San Vittore al Corpo from Milan to make room for folk singing.
The Choral Schola founded in 1980 by the famous musician Giovanni Vianini and since then,  choral schola director, consists of a men and a women's schola, which currently includes 20 singers each. Together they form a mixed choir. Vianini is internationally recognized as a choral expert.

If Vox is a "so-called Catholic blogger" then Rosica is a "so-called Catholic priest"

One of these Toms is not like the other.
According to the wise words of Father Thomas J. Rosica, this is a "so-called Catholic blog."

Well. based on my experience, I think Father Thomas J. Rosica, CSB is a "so-called Catholic priest."

He has the temerity to state that the signing of the letter of the thirteen cardinals which included Toronto's Cardinal Thomas Collins of the Archdiocese was a "faux pas." For whom Tom?

Sebastian Gomes, an employee at Salt + Light, called the Cardinal's actions, "lettergate."

Who the heck is Gomes and what gives him the right to comment on Catholic doctrine and to make a flippant remark about the Cardinal?

As for Archbishop Durocher, .... pfft.

The Sodomy Synod of Shame

The adulterous and sodomitical synod of shame was called by this writer on more than one occasion, "a sham."

Who is Father Pio Pace? We do not know, Is this true or is it conjecture? Time will tell.

As for me, I tend to believe it. I think the die was cast long ago. Yes, I believe the Apostolic Exhortation if not completed was certainly well-along, long before the Synod every began in October.

I don't believe that any of these should operate in the shadows. They should declare their name and go full force if this is true and challenge the malefactors in the Church who would conspire to do such things. If this, and some of the others we've heard about recently, are this concerned then they must link up and declare what is going on. Operating in the shadows is not credible. Yes, they fear for their friends and others who will be punished but this corruption must be outed. What can they do, send them back to parish life?

If these are careerists then they are no better than those who Pope Francis rages at.

Put it out into the light and be not afraid.

DOMINICAN CARDINAL: GAY U.S. AMBASSADOR SHOULD ‘FOCUS ON HOUSEWORK’

Cardinal and ambassador have history of public feuding

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (ChurchMilitant.com) - A cardinal from the Dominican Republic, engaged in a public quarrel with the country's U.S. ambassador, called the openly gay official a "wife" and told him to "focus on housework."
Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez, the archbishop of Santo Domingo, made the remarks Tuesday in response to comments from U.S. ambassador James Brewster alleging corruption within the Dominican Republic.
"That man needs to go back to his embassy," the cardinal said. "Let him focus on housework, since he's the wife to a man."
