Bergoglio calls for "dare I say – at a bold cultural revolution”

The arrogance of this man. He even knows by his "dare I say" how inflammatory a statement he is about to make.

“on the cultural level of academic training and scientific study, a broad and generous effort at a radical paradigm shift, or rather – dare I say – at “a bold cultural revolution”.

Think that's it?

Do you doubt the next requirement is for priests and bishops to sign-on and swear loyalty to the Magisterium of Francis? Since when is the teaching of the Roman Pontiff separate from the Magisterium of the Church?

If the Roman Pontiff teaches heresy, academics or expected to go along or else.

Are priests and bishops next to swear allegiance to the Magisterium of Francis?

Karl Kahner and quite a few others have actually done the Church a great favour. God writes straight with crooked lines. Without realizing it, Rahner and friends, when writing against actual Magisterial work (e.g. Humane Vitae) were really doing all our homework to counter pastoral, non-doctrinal and personal decisions made by Roman Pontiffs. Rahner was right: he was just right about the wrong thing. Not because he was confused, but because he was dissenting. However, had he been arguing against a personal, pastoral decision made by a given Pope in a given moment in the Church's Life, he would have been correct.

Friends, this preposterous claim that the Pope (ANY Pope) is a walking, incarnation of the Magisterium (a type of walking zombie controlled by the Holy Spirit is absolute heresy, blasphemy). What these papolatrors are describing is a form of "brain-dump" which Mohommedans argue regarding the creation of the Koran (exegesis actually shows the Koran to be about 70% copy and paste from the Jewish Talmud).

Is there any way of verifying when this proposed submission to the magisterium of francis is to take place & what dioceses worldwide are implementing it? Will priestly orders e.g. SSPX also have to comply?

Ana, it's a Roman rumor originating from Fra Cristoforo. I know Vox keeps an ear out for Anonimo's postings, but I tend to view him as an agent of misdirection. Let's keep our calendars marked for 25 Feb, the date at which this prediction is supposed to come to pass.

If Fra Cristoforo says something like, "nothing yet, wait till next month," or nothing happens and he hopes we don't recall, then that will say a lot.

Cultural Revolution. You bet. As to gaining insight as to who is behind the cultural revolution of Vatican 2 see RadTrad Thomist site as to newly declassified State Department document on preventing a traditional Pope from taking the seat of Peter in 1958. Deep rabbit hole but this sheds some serious light on what we have been dealing with the last 60 years.

The plain meaning of the text implies that there is a Papal magisterium that can trump the Church's authentic magisterium. Doesn't this go directly against Catholic teaching? Shouldn't this be immediately corrected?

You know someone is about to propose something that lacks substance and truth, and that is all-around a bad idea when they use the overused PR phrase "paradigm shift." I'm sure using a word with a silent G in it that few had ever heard 20 years ago made a person sound especially intelligent and made their ideas sound good, but now it's just an overused phrase that should only be contained within a Matthew Kelly talk (because there'd be nothing left in the talks if we took out all of those catchy phrases).

I would say at this point very little is beyond the realm of possibility. We would have been aghast and in denial five short years ago, if we had been told what our next pope would say and do. We would never have believed it in 2012. So a rumor about his demanding an oath is totally believable to me, he has demonstrated his dictatorial style quite often.
He and his pals have more imagination than I do, so I can't imagine what is coming next. He's made great inroads in his path of destruction, and at each corner, everybody just goes along with him. He has met no real resistance with the exception of bloggists and commenters. Hey, WE are the counter-revolution! Power to the people!
They may give in Pope Francis, your crowd of clerical hostages, but we, never. And if we get the chance, we will oppose you to the face, because you are to be blamed.

Itbis interesting that the pope who previously stated that he would not engage in culture wars is now calling for a cultural revolution. He chose not to engage secularism and has actually facilitated its victories. The revolution he is seeking to foment will attempt to destroy what is left of the spiritual in the Church. Time for the counter-revolution to organize. Dieu est le roi! Viva Cristo Rey!

The more I pay attention to this papacy, the more I am convinced he really, truly, does whatever he wants with no regards to the consequences. Pope Francis, Stephen Walford, Massimo Faggioli, Fr. Thomas Rosica -- they are all the same, when we really get down to it. They are all willing to tear down the faith. They don't care what happens afterwards. They don't care that there are youth like myself - the 'rad trad' - who don't take any business with neo-conservativism, and firmly reject all that goes with the Novus Ordo church and mindset, at the cost of an easy life and popularity. I have lost a lot of friends and know things I really wish I do not. They don't care that youth like me has had to search for years on their own for the truth, only to find that when they do, they are shut out of the mainstream church. They don't care that youth like me don't trust the hierarchy, for good reason, and are publicly rebuked for not trusting in the Church, when I see the few good priests being overtaken by modernists, homosexuals, men of Vatican II, and other things. They really, really, don't care and do whatever they want. That's a stab in the back only made worse when I see of these stunts on airplanes, see these medals handed out. I am sick and tired of seeing our Lord treated like a cracker, and pray, pray, pray, that the dam will burst soon, hopefully with me standing on the island with the precious few who are styled the "rad trads" as the river rages on and we are forced to clean up afterwards.
