Vincent Long, CFM, Bishop of Parramatta blasphemes the Holy Spirit in the name of sodomy

A reader in Australia, which is undergoing a debate and plebiscite on so-called "marriage" between people of the same sex, has advised of scandalous "pastoral letter" by Vincent Long, OFM, the Bishop of Parramatta. We've written previously about this so-called, "bishop" and the suffering Catholics of Parramatta.

http://voxcantor.blogspot.ca/2016/09/francis-appointed-bishop-of-paramatta.html

http://voxcantor.blogspot.ca/2016/09/bishop-nguyen-of-paramatta-walks-it-back.html
on.

In his letter, Long, a Franciscan, writes about now each should vote according to their feelings and not by being a properly formed Catholic.

He actually blasphemes the Holy Spirit when he suggests, that the "Spirit" is saying something through the "signs of the times" that would test the truth of Holy Scripture and Catholic doctrine.

The Holy Spirit is not guiding this debate in Australia for Catholics to suddenly accept marriage within the same sex. The Holy Spirit is not a liar, but this Bishop, Vincent Long Van Nguyen is a liar, a deceiver and no doubt, a homosexualist.

What does this stupid man think that two men do together in bed? Just as with James Martin, they set up "straw men" and want you to believe it is all about love. It is not about which tea-cup and what colour the his and his towels are or the draperies, it is about felching and rimming and fisting and sodomy and oral copulation and slurp ramps and glory holes and coprophilia (as Bergoglio would know about). This is what two men do together. This so-called Bishop cares not about the poor souls, but instead, does not warn the person who will fall in to this deep sin which will take them to Hell.

It is not about love. No faithful Catholic hates anyone suffering with same-sex attraction. But we hate the sin in them as much as any in ourselves. That, is love.

The vote in Australia will no doubt fall in favour of those seeking this change in the definition of marriage.

This Judas will be held accountable before God for his dereliction.

Pastoral letter on the same-sex marriage postal survey

Dear sisters and brothers,
As I write to you, the national debate on same-sex civil marriage is in full swing. It is an issue that many feel passionate about and hence, it has potential to polarise the community. I appeal to all Catholics in the Diocese of Parramatta to conduct this dialogue with a deep sense of respect for all concerned, and for the opinion and decision that each person is free to make.
It is important to remember from the very outset that the postal survey is about whether or not Australians want the legal definition of civil marriage changed to include same-sex couples. It is not a referendum on sacramental marriage as understood by the Catholic Church.
Many years ago, divorce was legalised in Australia; but this change did not alter the law of the Church. Therefore, whatever the outcome of the survey or the eventual legislation by the government, the Church will continue to hold that marriage is a natural institution established by God to be a permanent union between one man and one woman, directed both to mutual companionship and to the formation of a family in which children are born and nurtured.
For many Catholics, the issue of same-sex marriage is not simply theoretical but deeply personal. These may be same-sex attracted people themselves or that may be the case with their relatives and friends. In such cases, they are torn between their love for the Church and their love for their same-sex attracted child, grandchild, sibling, cousin, friend or neighbour.
As your bishop, I wish to reiterate the commitment I made at my installation: “I am committed to make the church in Parramatta the house for all peoples, a church where there is less an experience of exclusion but more an encounter of radical love, inclusiveness and solidarity.” As a community of disciples, we seek to accommodate, accompany and care for one another irrespective of sexual orientation, marital status and situation.
I invite all Catholics in our Diocese to exercise our responsibility as citizens to engage in this community discernment. It should not be a matter of a simple answer Yes or No to the postal survey. It should be an opportunity for us to witness to our deep commitment to the ideal of Christian marriage. But it should also be an opportunity for us to listen to what the Spirit is saying through the signs of the times.
Throughout much of history, our gay and lesbian (or LGBTI) brothers and sisters have often not been treated with respect, sensitivity and compassion. Regrettably, the Church has not always been a place where they have felt welcomed, accepted and loved. Thus, regardless of the outcome of the survey, we must commit ourselves to the task of reaching out to our LGBTI brothers and sisters, affirming their dignity and accompanying them on our common journey towards the fullness of life and love in God.
Let us pray, discern and act with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. Catholics, in keeping with the tradition of the Church, are asked to exercise their consciences, ensuring that they are informed as they come to exercise their democratic rights in the coming postal survey.
Yours sincerely in Christ,
Most Rev Vincent Long Van Nguyen OFM Conv

St. Francis of Assisi prophesied about his own Order being divided and the many scandals that would occur in the time that the uncanonically elected pope would not be a true shepherd. How the great and holy Seraphic Father Francis, who so closely followed our Savior, must weep. It galls me that this imposter pope has hijacked his name. St. Francis was a true reformer, Bergoglio and his ilk are DEformers and Church wreckers.

This Bishop is well known as an attention seeker and is a disgrace to God and the Church!

Some old fashioned views on sodomy:

1. Athenagoras of Athens (2nd Century):
"But though such is our character (Oh! why should I speak of things unfit to be uttered?), the things said of us are an example of the proverb, 'The harlot reproves the chaste.' For those who have set up a market for fornication and established infamous resorts for the young for every kind of vile pleasure – who do not abstain even from males, males with males committing shocking abominations, outraging all the noblest and comeliest bodies in all sorts of ways, so dishonoring the fair workmanship of God."

2. Tertullian (160-225) Tertullian was a great genius and apologist of the early Church.
"But all the other frenzies of passions–impious both toward the bodies and toward the sexes–beyond the laws of nature, we banish not only from the threshold, but from all shelter of the Church, because they are not sins, but monstrosities."

3. Eusebius of Caesarea (260-341) the “Father of Church History”:
“[God in the Law given to Moses] having forbidden all unlawful marriage, and all unseemly practice, and the union of women with women and men with men.”

4. Saint Jerome (340-420) both Father and Doctor of the Church:
“And Sodom and Gomorrah might have appeased it [God’s wrath], had they been willing to repent, and through the aid of fasting gain for themselves tears of repentance.”

5. Saint John Chrysostom (347-407) Doctor of the Church.
"But if thou scoffest at hearing of hell and believest not that fire, remember Sodom... Consider how great is that sin, to have forced hell to appear even before its time!… For that rain was unwonted, for the intercourse was contrary to nature, and it deluged the land, since lust had done so with their souls. Wherefore also the rain was the opposite of the customary rain. Now not only did it fail to stir up the womb of the earth to the production of fruits, but made it even useless for the reception of seed. For such was also the intercourse of the men, making a body of this sort more worthless than the very land of Sodom. And what is there more detestable than a man who hath pandered himself, or what more execrable?

Peter Lamb said...

6. Saint Augustine (354-430):
"Those offences which be contrary to nature are everywhere and at all times to be held in detestation and punished; such were those of the Sodomites, which should all nations commit, they should all be held guilty of the same crime by the divine law, which hath not so made men that they should in that way abuse one another. For even that fellowship which should be between God and us is violated, when that same nature of which He is author is polluted by the perversity of lust."

7. Saint Gregory the Great (540-604)both Father and Doctor of the Church:
"Sacred Scripture itself confirms that sulfur evokes the stench of the flesh, as it speaks of the rain of fire and sulfur poured upon Sodom by the Lord. He had decided to punish Sodom for the crimes of the flesh, and the very type of punishment he chose emphasized the shame of that crime. For sulfur stinks, and fire burns. So it was just that Sodomites, burning with perverse desires arising from the flesh like stench, should perish by fire and sulfur so that through this just punishment they would realize the evil they had committed, led by a perverse desire."

8. Saint Peter Damian (1007-1072) Doctor of the Church, cardinal and a great reformer of the clergy, Saint Peter Damian wrote his famous Book of Gomorrah against the inroads made by homosexuality among the clergy. He describes not only the iniquity ofhomosexuality, but also its psychological and moral consequences:
"Truly, this vice is never to be compared with any other vice because it surpasses the enormity of all vices.… It defiles everything, stains everything, pollutes everything. And as for itself, it permits nothing pure, nothing clean, nothing other than filth.…
"The miserable flesh burns with the heat of lust; the cold mind trembles with the rancor of suspicion; and in the heart of the miserable man chaos boils like Tartarus [Hell]…. In fact, after this most poisonous serpent once sinks its fangs into the unhappy soul, sense is snatched away, memory is borne off, the sharpness of the mind is obscured. It becomes unmindful of God and even forgetful of itself. This plague undermines the foundation of faith, weakens the strength of hope, destroys the bond of charity; it takes away justice, subverts fortitude, banishes temperance, blunts the keenness of prudence.
"And what more should I say since it expels the whole host of the virtues from the chamber of the human heart and introduces every barbarous vice as if the bolts of the doors were pulled out."

Peter Lamb said...

9. Saint Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274.)
"Given the sin of impiety through which they [the Romans] sinned against the divine nature [by idolatry], the punishment that led them to sin against their own nature followed... I say, therefore, that since they changed into lies [by idolatry] the truth about God, He brought them to ignominious passions, that is, to sins against nature; not that God led them to evil, but only that he abandoned them to evil... "If all the sins of the flesh are worthy of condemnation because by them man allows himself to be dominated by that which he has of the animal nature, much more deserving of condemnation are the sins against nature by which man degrades his own animal nature... "Man can sin against nature in two ways. First, when he sins against his specific rational nature, acting contrary to reason. In this sense, we can say that every sin is a sin against man’s nature, because it is against man’s right reason...
"Secondly, man sins against nature when he goes against his generic nature, that is to say, his animal nature. Now, it is evident that, in accord with natural order, the union of the sexes among animals is ordered towards conception. From this it follows that every sexual intercourse that cannot lead to conception is opposed to man’s animal nature."

10. Saint Catherine of Siena (1347-1380)a great mystic and Doctor:
"But they act in a contrary way, for they come full of impurity to this mystery, and not only of that impurity to which, through the fragility of your weak nature, you are all naturally inclined (although reason, when free will permits, can quiet the rebellion of nature), but these wretches not only do not bridle this fragility, but do worse, committing that accursed sin against nature, and as blind and fools, with the light of their intellect darkened, they do not know the stench and misery in which they are. It is not only that this sin stinks before me, who am the Supreme and Eternal Truth, it does indeed displease me so much and I hold it in such abomination that for it alone I buried five cities by a divine judgment, my divine justice being no longer able to endure it. This sin not only displeases me as I have said, but also the devils whom these wretches have made their masters. Not that the evil displeases them because they like anything good, but because their nature was originally angelic, and their angelic nature causes them to loathe the sight of the actual commission of this enormous sin.

11. Saint Bernardine of Siena (1380-1444)a famous preacher, celebrated for his doctrine and holiness:
"No sin in the world grips the soul as the accursed sodomy; this sin has always been detested by all those who live according to God.… Deviant passion is close to madness; this vice disturbs the intellect, destroys elevation and generosity of soul, brings the mind down from great thoughts to the lowliest, makes the person slothful, irascible, obstinate and obdurate, servile and soft and incapable of anything; furthermore, agitated by an insatiable craving for pleasure, the person follows not reason but frenzy.… They become blind and, when their thoughts should soar to high and great things, they are broken down and reduced to vile and useless and putrid things, which could never make them happy.... Just as people participate in the glory of God in different degrees, so also in hell some suffer more than others. He who lived with this vice of sodomy suffers more than another, for this is the greatest sin."

Peter Lamb said...

12. Saint Peter Canisius (1521-1597)Jesuit and Doctor of the Church:
"As the Sacred Scripture says, the Sodomites were wicked and exceedingly sinful. Saint Peter and Saint Paul condemn this nefarious and depraved sin. In fact, the Scripture denounces this enormous indecency thus: 'The scandal of Sodomites and Gomorrhans has multiplied and their sins have become grave beyond measure.' So the angels said to just Lot, who totally abhorred the depravity of the Sodomites: 'Let us leave this city....' Holy Scripture does not fail to mention the causes that led the Sodomites, and can also lead others, to this most grievous sin. In fact, in Ezechiel we read: 'Behold this was the iniquity of Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance, and the idleness of her, and of her daughters: and they did not put forth their hand to the needy, and the poor. And they were lifted up, and committed abominations before me; and I took them away as thou hast seen' (Ezech. 16: 49-50). Those unashamed of violating divine and natural law are slaves of this never sufficiently execrated depravity."

Note: These quotes are taken from Defending A Higher Law: Why We Must Resist Same-Sex "Marriage" and the Homosexual Movement.

For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

[God delivered them up: Not by being author of their sins, but by withdrawing his grace, and so permitting them, in punishment of their pride, to fall into those shameful sins.]

Foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.

Rest easy folks, he is neither Bishop, priest, or Catholic. He is simply a modernist imposter. Only by equating him as a Catholic prelate do you give him any power. It is time to heed St Paul's admonition to let them be anathema.

It seems that the devil has seduced the three great Orders into advocating for unnatural sexual vice. Along with the Homo-Jesuits and Homo-Dominicans, we now have the homo-Franciscans. I think the franciscans have avoided more careful scrutiny, as they have been hiding behind the public image of St. Francis. In fact, abusing St. Francis. Tomorrow I will be publishing on a soon to be notorious Franciscan homosexualist who has recently published a monstrous screed against the Catholic Church and her unchangeable teachings on sexuality, perverse sexual acts and gender ideology. We need to all be on the alert about these Homo-Franciscans and this insidious manner in which militant homosexuals have infiltrated this once great Order.

Long needs to go back on the boat and stay there, He is a disgrace to the lord, he is another fake bishop, the only reason he entered the priesthood was because jobs are hard to find. This bum needs to get the sack and pronto.

Tom A. said...

Well the modernist hierarchy isnt going to sack him so I guess its left up to faithful Catholics to withdraw their obedience to this imposter.

How useful Amoris Laetitia and pastoral approaches to sins crying for vengeance to heaven prove to be to sodomites. One might think that it is so by design. They are juxtaposing the ideal of Christian marriage against less ideal sodomitic activities.

I know them well. They are not going to stop until sodomy becomes the ideal. Many already claim that marital relations open to procreation are of lesser value than selfless sodomy.

This foolish man has no idea the damage he does. He confirms our homosexual brothers and sisters in their sin. He doesn't offer them hope.

As a member of this unfortunate diocese, I can testify that the treachery of this 'bishop' goes well beyond his so-called 'welcoming of the marginalised'.
He is an advocate of gender ideology and scoffs at the idea of binary genders.( ie male and female) and has been heard calling the faithful Catholics of our diocese (of which there are many) 'pious freaks'.
Please pray for us and for Australia at this crucial time!

Find an SSPX or independent chapel. The V2 NO sect offers you only poison.

Anonymous said...

Tom A.,
It is you who "poison". That is not to say that many things after the Second Vatican Council aren't bad. Many are! But you talk as if God has abandoned His Church and that nothing, including the Mass, is valid since the Council. There are good and holy people who have no choice but to assist at the Novus Ordo Mass. And there are good and holy priests who offer it. It is still the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary and that can never be deficient. Were it not so, the innovators would not still scheme to destroy it.

Vox Cantoris said...

Anon above at 11:58:

Yes, you are correct. The Novus Ordo liturgy is valid, the Holy Eucharist is confected, the Lord is made present in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, this, in spite of the Jewish Seder prayers at the Offertory and Eucharistic prayers of dubious history and value. This too, in spite of the dancing and the inappropriate music, heretical homilies and sinful priests. God is really, really that Good!

And you are also right that as bad as it can be and as deficient that even a reverent Novus Ordo can still be, they do hate Him that much that they even want to destroy what is left of it.

God bless you

On who's authority is the NO valid? Montini the modernist heretic? You base your whole acceptance of the NO on the very men who you think are out to destroy the Church.

Kathleen1031 said...

Peter Lamb, that is really something. Thank you for all that.
And Vox, you name the appalling practices. Many of them I do not know, I do not understand what they mean, a few I do. I am trying not to know, but at the same time, if people do not understand the vile nature of the actual acts, they may imagine things in terms of "love", and that would be completely inadequate to the level of sin involved. I know there will not soon be a program on tv that describes the actual practices between two homosexuals, but if there were, at least some people would recognize the inherent evil of those practices. Many today, tragically, are beyond such awareness, as we see so many rejoice and embrace evil with open arms.
God have mercy on us, deliver us from the two-pronged attack by Islam and LGBT.
This "bishop" is nothing of the kind. He is just another sodomitical sellout.

Tom, even Marcel Lefebvre accepted the Novus Ordo is a valid Mass, the SSPX still hold that position.

What is the Mass? It is the sacrifice. That occurs when a validly ordained priest with the intent to do what the Church requires says the words of Consecration over valid matter. That is a valid consecration and thus, the Mass is a valid Mass. It may be illicit in some cases, it may be ineffable and lacking sacred actions but it will still be valid. The priest can offer a valid Mass at a coffee table in his pajamas.

Just at the new rite of ordination is valid. Ordination is conferred when the man receiving it and the bishop presiding intend to do it. It is the laying on of hands which ordains the priest, not the ceremony.

God made it that easy for the sacraments to be true. That is why the responsibility is so grave.

Tom A. said...

But Abp Lefebrve did not hold that NO orders were always valid. He conditionally ordained many priests. All the new Rites were imposed by modernists who cannot be trusted. So why do you trust their sacraments? I from now on only trust the traditional ones before they were altered by enemies of the Church. You are trusting modernists when you trust the NO sacraments. I believe this is a serious distinction and one that should not be accepted lightly.

Some promote attending the NO mass, despite all its negative features, to attain the overriding advantage of being able to receive the Eucharist. Sadly, this is not a valid argument, because the Sacrament of the Eucharist in the new rite, is invalid. The proper form of the Sacrament has been altered, thus rendering the Sacrament invalid, even presuming the “Lord’s supper” is “presided over” by a validly ordained priest.
All the good souls who in ignorance, innocence and good faith attend NO masses receive grace, (but not Sacramental grace), for their sincere good intention.
Anybody who knows and understands the evil fraudulence of the NO mass and who attends one, commits the sin of giving scandal and committing sacrilege. It is infinitely better for me to stay at home and assist virtually at the Mass, live, on the webcast of St. Gertrude the Great and receive the "reality" of the Sacrament in a a Spiritual Communion.
To Illustrate “The Reality” of The Eucharist:
We read in John (6,24): “Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you.” But, since we believe that infants who have been baptized and who die before receiving the Eucharist are saved, how do we explain Christ’s words?
This is answered as follows. By Baptism a person “is ordained to the Eucharist, and therefore from the fact of children being baptized, they are destined by the Church to the Eucharist; and just as they believe through the Church’s faith, so they desire the Eucharist through the Church’s intention, and, as a result, receive its reality.” (Summa Th., III, Q. 73, Art. 3,).
Therefore infants, though they do not receive the sacrament of the Eucharist, nevertheless receive the "reality" of the sacrament, namely, union with the Mystical Body.
Similarly, one who with the right disposition, though he be unable to receive Holy Communion, makes a “spiritual communion,” thereby receives the reality of the sacrament, but not the sacrament itself.”

This is infinitely better than getting a piece of bread - a novus ordo cookie!
There is no escape in going to a SSPX, or Orthodox mass. Both are schismatic and therefore not Catholic. The SSPX offer their mass in union with a heretical "pope" and a schismatic bishop, which is not pleasing to God:
” … There are some men, in fact, whose names cannot even be mentioned by the celebrant in the “Commemoration of the Living”: “Hence were anyone to mention by name an infidel, a heretic, a schismatic, or an excommunicated person (whether a king, or a bishop, or any other), … he would certainly violate the law of the Church.” (De la Taille, The Mystery of Faith, v. II, p. 317). ”

One can go around in circles for ever claiming that Vatican II was "Pastoral" and not doctrinal, happily continuing to ignore Paul VI’s clear and unambiguous statement that he promulgated it with the authority of the Ordinary Magisterium. One can blissfully ignore Pope Paul IV’s crystal clear proclamation that a heretic cannot become, or remain Pope. One can turn a blind eye to Pastor Aeternus and pretend, with the SSPX, that “Recognise and Resist” is an option and not schism. But there comes a point when blissful ignorance becomes willful blindness.
