Only a "tiny minority" upset about Communion in the hand - Thomas Cardinal Collins

In a webinar for priests held today in the Archdiocese of Toronto the matter of the illegal forbidding of Holy Communion on the tongue was again raised. Thomas Cardinal Collins was adamant that it is not to occur and said those upset were a "tiny minority."

In other news, ...

The analogy is apt.

That "tiny minority" in some parishes gives most of the parish revenue

The “tiny minority” are the ones who still hold the Catholic Faith. They should not be worshipping with heretics.

The proper term for "tiny minority" in these times is remnant faithful. Further, most of the churchmen can't tell time, we are in the end times, the close or end of this age of the church.

How would he even know? Those who receive on the tongue aren't even attending the Covid Ordo mass.

The ONLY way out of this appears to me, in my pious opinion as a sinner, is through Divine intervention.

I have pretty much committed to no meat Wednesdays and Fridays and only one meal every day for the priests to return to the faith.

But I deserve this chastisement.

This all has been allowed by God...this is what our faith tells us.

I had no idea that truth, justice, morality was based on a popularity context. I had no idea that "feelings" instead of doctrine drove the Cardinal.

A "minority" of Jews believed in Jesus Christ's Divinity when he proclaimed it.

A "minority" of Catholics resisted the Arians.

A "minority" of English and Welsh bishops resisted Henry VIII.

A "minority" of German bishops resisted Adolph Hitler.

I guess these "minorites" were all wrong.

Now, I need to ask yet another question: would he have given this excuse if the vast majorty of Catholics did not like his spiritual apartheid?

Based on my daily mass attendance, the numbers have dropped precipitously since re-opening. That might be explained by downtown Toronto being essentially shut down, as most office buildings are closed until September and the workers are at home.

The Covid Ordo is going to go on until - at the VERY earliest - September. My senses tells me the attendance drop will continue.

Confession lines at St. Michael's on Saturday were not long, not sure about other places. And this with no confession available for three months.

The "Tiny minority" is actually a pretty accurate measure of their failure to teach.
