(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis is asking people around the world to pray during the month of February for an increase of attention to and care for our common home. The Holy Father is making the request through his new video initiative in cooperation with the Jesuit-operated Apostleship of Prayer. Believers and unbelievers agree that the earth is our common heritage, the fruits of which should benefit everyone.
However, what is happening in the world we live in?
The relationship between poverty and the fragility of the planet requires another way of managing the economy and measuring progress, conceiving a new way of living.
Because we need a change that unites us all.
Free from the slavery of consumerism.
This month I make a special request:
That we may take good care of creation–a gift freely given–cultivating and protecting it for future generations.
Caring for our common home.

And what about the Creator of this planet ,the one who maintains it ,the human race has no control on the orbiting of this world or earthquakes or volcano's. What about the effect of sin on our environment .if greed is damaging the environment through wars and exploitation its because greed is a sin ,as is coveting a neighbor goods ,whether its a household or country .False propaganda used to start illegal wars based on lies.it always comes back to sin.Should not all prayer begin with praise of the Creator especially when its been made by one who is supposed to be a spiritual leader .We have the God of Surprises one day ,and the Forgotten God the next.

Another point of pain about this vid. is that the CROSS OF OUR LORD has been masked AGAIN - firstly by the document he is reading from and then, at the end, it simply is not shown. Check it out. Another Cross-less offering from this Hollywood style video - following close on the heels of the last, where we were shown a baby amongst pagan and heathen symbols. Dear oh dear! What contempt!
