Just another lawsuit sexual perversion and abuse by Canadian Basilian priests - move along, nothing to see here!

When will it end?

How deep is the filth?

How many victims are there; is it a number known only to God?

How many suicides, how many adult lives lived in turmoil and mental torture because of what these Basilian priests did too so many boys?

How many were victims of "Happy Hands Marshall?"

When will we arm our children to defend themselves? In Canada it is not possible. Here in the States it is our 2Nd Amendment RIGHT to bear arms .
If the Church will do NOTHING about the perversion , then parents, TEACH YOUR CHILD HERE IN THE US to DEFEND THEMSELVES.
The student who reported the abuse in the story was expelled from the school. Those odds can only be equaled by self-defense.
When victims start standing up and defending themselves JUSTLY these filthy possessed priests will think about it twice before they touch who they think is an "innocent". Surprise! Mr Wesson and Mr Smith : JUDGE AND JURY .Sorry, Canada, its how we roll down here.

Still silence from the Vatican who have had the temerity of 'excommunicating' José Galat for upholding God's Word on his tv station Teleamiga. Sodomy, SSM, Child Abuse, Adultery, Abortion, Contraception, Euthanasia etc. are OK but those attempting to adhere to the Ten Commandments are not & are continually insulted by PF & his coterie who favour infidels & schismatics. Even the most effeminate prelate must by now see that the game is up.

It is the centenary year of Fatima & they still have not fulfilled Our Lady's request to have Russia consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart or revealed the full Third Secret of Fatima. They are Apostates who fly in the face of God. Those who have been silenced by evil doers must stand against such intimidation & make sure these two requests are carried out before time is up.

Ana, you call them apostates in one sentence and in the next you call on them to consecrate Russia. Do you see the contradiction in your reasoning?

Amen to that Ana, and may it happen soon.
Anyone who puts their hand on a child to corrupt or harm them, it is almost impossible to even speak about such men...but for a priest to do it can only be called monstrously evil, diabolical. I have a male loved one who was inappropriately touched by a male babysitter, and it has caused great confusion and harm. It is especially devastating for a child to be molested by the same sex, very confusing and that can last a lifetime. These men who are priests and do this, or pretend they don't see it, or God forbid, allow it to go on, are likely to cast themselves into Hell for eternity. Children should not be left in the care of males except fathers, generally speaking, because it is that blood tie that makes all the difference. I have read the literature, and now we know that men who are related to boys will molest them, uncles, certainly neighbors, "friends", so on. Frankly I would not allow my boy to spend time with a man not his father these days unless accompanied. It is simply not worth it. These men often look for the "lonely" kid, the vulnerable one on the outskirts, or with a single, over-loaded Mom. God help all poor, vulnerable children!
Our Church has turned it's back on these children, but how can it speak honestly about pederasty when it approves of it! I see no evidence our Church takes this seriously, I've never felt our Church took this seriously. If they did, seminaries would have been CLOSED to homosexuals, but we know that didn't happen. Infuriating.

Amen to that, Ana and Kathleen!

I shudder at all of this. How could one not, considering that the Basilians (sorry, Boyzillians) have made the secular news twice in one week? One here in Toronto, now in Sudbury. I find some small solace in the fact the late Fr. Marshall served some time in prison before he died. ... It serves him right, for what he did to all those boys (and you can be sure there are more than we know about).

How many do you estimate, Vox?

Mercy for the abusers, but not for the abused.

They bullied girls, too. I had them in high school. One was especially nasty.

Vox Cantoris said...

Yes Sister, girls too. I guess after 1970, they had some co-ed schools. Up to then, I think most were boy or girl schools.

Iraneus, You ask "how many?"

Known only to God but one more when you include this writer.

I'm sorry, this is OT, but I have just read it for the first time and it addresses so many of the things we talk about. Next time some novus ordite tells you the Church of Christ "subsists in" the Catholic Church, show him this:

Unam Sanctam, His Holiness Pope Boniface VIII, November 18, 1302.

"URGED BY FAITH, we are obliged to believe and to maintain that the Church is one, holy, catholic, and also apostolic. We believe in her firmly and we confess with simplicity that outside of her there is neither salvation nor the remission of sins, as the Spouse in the Canticles [Cant. 6:8] proclaims: "One is my dove, my perfect one. She is the only one, the chosen of her who bore her," and she represents one sole mystical body whose Head is Christ and the head of Christ is God [1 Cor 11:3]. In her then is one Lord, one faith, one baptism [Eph 4:5]. There had been at the time of the deluge only one ark of Noah, prefiguring the one Church, which ark, having been finished to a single cubit, had only one pilot and guide, i.e., Noah, and we read that, outside of this ark, all that subsisted on the earth was destroyed.

We venerate this Church as one, the Lord having said by the mouth of the prophet: "Deliver, O God, my soul from the sword and my only one from the hand of the dog." [Ps 21:20] He has prayed for his soul, that is for himself, heart and body; and this body, that is to say, the Church, He has called one because of the unity of the Spouse, of the faith, of the sacraments, and of the charity of the Church. This is the tunic of the Lord, the seamless tunic, which was not rent but which was cast by lot [Jn 19:23-24]. Therefore, of the one and only Church there is one body and one head, not two heads like a monster; that is, Christ and the Vicar of Christ, Peter and the successor of Peter, since the Lord speaking to Peter Himself said: "Feed my sheep" [Jn 21:17], meaning, my sheep in general, not these, nor those in particular, whence we understand that He entrusted all to him [Peter]. Therefore, if the Greeks or others should say that they are not confided to Peter and to his successors, they must confess not being the sheep of Christ, since Our Lord says in John "there is one sheepfold and one shepherd." We are informed by the texts of the gospels that in this Church and in its power are two swords; namely, the spiritual and the temporal. For when the Apostles say: "Behold, here are two swords" [Lk 22:38] that is to say, in the Church, since the Apostles were speaking, the Lord did not reply that there were too many, but sufficient. Certainly the one who denies that the temporal sword is in the power of Peter has not listened well to the word of the Lord commanding: "Put up thy sword into thy scabbard" [Mt 26:52]. Both, therefore, are in the power of the Church, that is to say, the spiritual and the material sword, but the former is to be administered for the Church but the latter by the Church; the former in the hands of the priest; the latter by the hands of kings and soldiers, but at the will and sufferance of the priest.

Peter Lamb said...

However, one sword ought to be subordinated to the other and temporal authority, subjected to spiritual power. For since the Apostle said: "There is no power except from God and the things that are, are ordained of God" [Rom 13:1-2], but they would not be ordained if one sword were not subordinated to the other and if the inferior one, as it were, were not led upwards by the other.
For, according to the Blessed Dionysius, it is a law of the divinity that the lowest things reach the highest place by intermediaries. Then, according to the order of the universe, all things are not led back to order equally and immediately, but the lowest by the intermediary, and the inferior by the superior. Hence we must recognize the more clearly that spiritual power surpasses in dignity and in nobility any temporal power whatever, as spiritual things surpass the temporal. This we see very clearly also by the payment, benediction, and consecration of the tithes, but the acceptance of power itself and by the government even of things. For with truth as our witness, it belongs to spiritual power to establish the terrestrial power and to pass judgement if it has not been good. Thus is accomplished the prophecy of Jeremias concerning the Church and the ecclesiastical power: "Behold today I have placed you over nations, and over kingdoms" and the rest. Therefore, if the terrestrial power err, it will be judged by the spiritual power; but if a minor spiritual power err, it will be judged by a superior spiritual power; but if the highest power of all err, it can be judged only by God, and not by man, according to the testimony of the Apostle: "The spiritual man judgeth of all things and he himself is judged by no man" [1 Cor 2:15]. This authority, however, (though it has been given to man and is exercised by man), is not human but rather divine, granted to Peter by a divine word and reaffirmed to him (Peter) and his successors by the One Whom Peter confessed, the Lord saying to Peter himself, "Whatsoever you shall bind on earth, shall be bound also in Heaven" etc., [Mt 16:19]. Therefore whoever resists this power thus ordained by God, resists the ordinance of God [Rom 13:2], unless he invent like Manicheus two beginnings, which is false and judged by us heretical, since according to the testimony of Moses, it is not in the beginnings but in the beginning that God created heaven and earth [Gen 1:1]. Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff."

There was some sort of pedophile club in Belgium during the eighties of last century, that is, during the reign of Cardinal Danneels as Archbishop of Malines-Bruxelles. It was specifically created for the participation of Catholics and Protestants, and it was actually advertised in the de facto episcopal newspaper ("Kerk & Leven") for the neerlandophone regions of Belgium. I have placed (see below) an English translation of that atrocity of an advertisement in this comment. The priest, Joseph Barzin, who is mentioned in it is at present the Dean of Anvers-Nord under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Anvers, Johan Bonny, who is openly pro-sodomite.

I have edited out the phone number and private addresses.

Get a bucket for vomiting. Here it is:

"ECUMENICAL WORKING GROUP PEDOPHILIA

Since a few years there exists in Flanders an ecumenical working group for pedophilia. This working group, which consists of Catholics and Protestants, wants to sensibilise the Churches for the phenomenon of pedophilia, transmit information, and remove prejudice. Also does the working group want to inform itself on everything that appears on the domain of pedophilia. And finally, the working group wants to create a meeting point for pedophile people to exchange thoughts with each other and to encourage each other. All are welcome who want to get to know pedophilia and pedophiles in a better way, on the condition that this happens in openness, respect and trustworthiness.

With the entrance of the new season, Rev. Father Jef Barzin, [EDIT] , will also collaborate with the working group.

The next gathering of the ecumenical working group pedophilia will take place on Saturday 8 September, in the chapel "De Olijftak" in Brasschaat, Leopoldslei 35, from 10 o' clock in the morning until manifestly 14 o' clock at noon. Please bring your own lunch.

You can receive more precise documentation at: Mr. L. P. G. van Tricht, [EDIT].

In name of the working group: Th. Weerstra, [EDIT]."

This man came from St Charles to an assembly we had at St Raphael's school in Sudbury, around 1977, when I was in grade 8. For some reason I chose a non-catholic high school and so I was spared his presence. We knew nothing of his reputation. He seemed to exude authority and charisma at the time. The moment stands out in my memory.
