Are you a member of the Arian Catholic Church?

A few years ago, I was at a dinner at my sister's. A cousin was there, a former Resurrectionist Priest who left the priesthood of Jesus Christ some time back in the 1970's and married a former Mother Superior. When he "blest" dinner, because he was a priest after all and my sister seemed to think it appropriate I interrupted him: "You have forgotten something Wayne, let me remind you, In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost."

After dinner we got in to a conversation where he told me that Jesus was not God, just the most perfect man. I was disgusted by this heretic and said, "Oh, so you're an Arian."

You see, he is not the only one.

I think the majority of priests who went to seminary between 1950 and 1980 are Arians.

Including this one.

After all, if He isn't God, why would you kneel?

What I want to know, is how does Guido Marini and any other priest or monsignor of any faith continue to serve in their roles. Are they not scandalise by the behaviour of a man who refuses to kneel before the "very God," but can grovel on the ground to wash the feet of man?

Or women.

James Martin, S.J. a man desperately in need of God, a priest adrift from the reality of Christ

Can there be any doubt that the mind of James Martin, a Jesuit priest is distorted beyond any semblance of reason in matter of the faith?

In an interview with the New York Times, Martin stated, “Pretty much everyone’s lifestyle is sinful,”

Image result for james martin s.j.Martin recently stated that the catechism needs to be changed. Homosexual orientation is "objectively disordered," and the acts are "intrinsically disordered." Martin, and other to be sure, (we know who you even though we won't name you) wishes it to be "differently ordered."

This is a blasphemy; for it accuses God of creating a man or woman who will, beyond their control, live a lifestyle based upon repugnant sin that would destine them to a life of suffering and an eternity cut off from God. What kind of god would do this? Certainly not Christian God, the Catholic God, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

It would be a god who would be evil, a god who would not deserve worship or adoration. A false god, a liar from the beginning.

There was a time when a priest's superiors would discipline this kind of priest. The fact that they do not proves that they not only agree with him, but that they are filled with hate. If they truly loved him, as a priest, a spiritual son, they would remove him from public ministry and get him the deep spiritual help he so desperately needs.

James Martin, S.J. is unfit to be in the public square commenting on the Catholic faith. A man unfit for priesthood. A man with a distorted mind crying out to the world for help and not having enough sense where to go to find it.

God help him.

Pope Bergoglio appoints abortion advocate to Life Academy - Cardinal accuses Catholics of not understanding "love"

Image

The Pope of Rome has appointed a pro-abortion advocate Oxford Professor, Nigel Biggar to the Pontifical Academy for Life.

Archbishop Paglia, an alleged apostle of Jesus Christ accuses Catholics who have raised their voices at this outrageous Bergoglian action as being "sensationalist," and not understanding what "love" is. This from the putrid example of a man who commissioned homosexualist erotic art for his Cathedral and wears funny sunglasses whilst swishing his drink.

Paglia is a disgrace, a man unfit for the high office he holds.

You must love as he reminds us all on Twitter.

Do you realize the crisis that the Church is in? Some will say, "the Church has always been in crisis." No, this is not true. They are ignorant of history. They are truly ignorant of the faith.

The saying, "the fish rots from the head first" has never been more appropriate then it is right now.

Please try to defend your rotten fruit of Vatican II or your Novus Ordoist culture.

You can't.

Vox sends his congratulations to Stephan Ackermann, Reinhard Marx and the rest of the pathetic sons of Satan in the Diocese of Trier

Trier, the oldest diocese in Germany will see 96% of its parishes close.

Trier is headed by Stephan Ackermann, a rather pathetic example of a bishop.

https://onepeterfive.com/oldest-german-diocese-close-96-parishes/

http://wdtprs.com/blog/2017/06/disaster-in-liberal-germany-leads-to-massive-parish-crisis-closures/

Here is some wisdom from little Stephan.

When in the name of all that is good and holy are you going to wake up?

Surely you expected this right?

Where are all you "neo-caths," you "conservative" Catholics, worshipping at your Novus Ordo Church of Man?

How do you like it now when you papal positivists and papolaters have to wrap your heads around the complete unravelling of Humanae Vitae.

The enemy has seized the Catholic Church by the throat. He has taken over, if not literally possessed, a great many in the Church.

Adultery is now okay and not an impediment to Holy Communion.

Sodomitical behaviour is just fine and not worth shaming people by calling them out of their sin.

Now, it is contraception.

Yeah, go ahead, you go right on with your papal positivism and your Novus Ordo mindset.

When will you wake up?

What the hell is it going to take?

St. Augustine has a word for these churchmen of today

Joos van Wassenhove St Augustine Oil on wood, 119 x 62 cm Musée du Louvre, Paris

In Matins, this morning, Tuesday of the Octave of Pentecost, we read a verse from the Gospel of St. John and a commentary by St. Augustine.

There are churchmen today at all levels of ecclesiastical and priestly office who are condemned by Augustine of Hippo. They will tell you that it is okay just to live a “good life,” that one must just “live good lives but not to become Christian.” They will tell others that it is better to be an atheist than a bad Christian and that atheists will go to heaven. Some will tell you to just be a “good Muslim,’ or a “good Hindoo” or even, a “good Jew.” Some of these who said this have even been declared Saints. They will tell you that there is no real need to go through the door to join the sheepfold.

St. Augustine has a word for them and with it, he concludes his homily.

Continuation of the Holy Gospel according to St. John10:1-10
At that time: Jesus said unto the Pharisees: Amen, amen, I say unto you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheep-fold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber but he that entereth by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. And so on.
Homily by St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo. 45th Tract on John.
In the words of the Gospel which are this day read, the Lord has spoken unto us in similitudes, touching His flock, and the Door whereby entry is made into their fold. The Pagans therefore may say, "We have good lives," but if they enter not in the Door, what doth that profit them whereof they make their boast? Good life is profitable to a man if it lead unto life everlasting, but if he does not have life everlasting, what shall his good life profit him? Neither indeed can it be truly said that they live good lives, who are either so blinded as not to know, or so puffed up as to despise, the end of a good life. And no man can have a true and certain hope of life everlasting, unless he know the true Life, Which is Christ, and enter in by that Door into the sheepfold.
There are many such, who try to persuade men to live good lives but not to be Christians. These are they who would fain "climb up some other way," "for to kill and to destroy," and are not as the Good Shepherd, Who is come to keep and to save. There have been philosophers who have treated many subtle questions of right and wrong, who have been the authors of many distinctions and definitions, who have completed many exceedingly clever arguments, who have filled many books, and have proclaimed their own wisdom with braying trumpets. These dared to say to men: "Follow us embrace our school of thought, and you will find therein the secret of an happy life." But these were not of them who enter in by the Door; they came not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
Touching these, what shall I say? Behold, the Pharisees themselves read of Christ, and therefore talked of Christ they looked for His coming, and when He came, they knew Him not. They boasted that they themselves were among the Seers, that is, of the wise ones, and they denied Christ, and entered not in by the Door. Therefore they, if they led away any, led them away only to kill and to destroy, not to free them. So much for them. Now let us see if all they who boast the name of Christian enter in by the Door. Some there are, and their number cannot be reckoned, who not only boast that they themselves are among the Seers, but would fain appear as though their hearts were enlightened by Christ but they are heretics.

Octave of Pentecost - Paul VI wept, and we've been weeping ever since!

Veni Sancti Spiritus. The ethereal chant of the Sequence for Pentecost Sunday which is proper to the Mass in the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite as well as the Extraordinary Form.

Was this sung in your parish in the Ordinary Form (OF); even in English as you can find at the link above?

Was it even just read after the Second Reading and before the Alleluia?

No? then get out of the Nervous Disordered liturgy and find the traditional Latin Mass where you will be properly nourished and not suffer liturgical banality and abuse any longer. Stop being a liturgical masochist.

We are now in the Octave of Pentecost that was unfortunately lost in the Ordinary Form (OF). An "Octave" is the eight day period following a major feast, a prolongation of that feast. In the traditional, there are three, Christmas, Easter and Pentecost and of course in the OF, only Christmas and Easter. Prior to 1962 there were more including Epiphany. Others included Corpus Christi, Sacred Heart, Sts. Peter and Paul and more of lower rank.

There is this little story from Father Z.  It seems that he was told this story by an elderly, retired Papal Ceremoniere or a Master of Ceremonies who (according to him) was present at the event about to be recounted.

The Monday after Pentecost in 1970 His Holiness Pope Paul VI rose bright and early and went to the chapel for Holy Mass. Instead of the red he expected, there were green vestments laid out for him.

He queried the MC assigned that day, "What on earth are these for?  This is the Octave of Pentecost!  Where are the red vestments?"

"Santità," quoth the MC, "this is now Tempus ‘per annum’.  It is green, now. The Octave of Pentecost is abolished."

"Green? That cannot be!", said the Pope, "Who did that?"

"Holiness, you did."

And Paul VI wept.

And the rest of us have been weeping ever since.

And then there is the Vigil...

London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down

For the third time in recent weeks, twice in London and once in Manchester, England's people have been the target of Mohammedan terrorist losers.

The first duty of government is the protection of its people. England has let in to its land, tens of thousands from Europe on the EU passport. It has allowed the return of thousands from the jihadist battlefields of Iraq and Syria.

The British Government is responsible for the continuing slaughter. The Mayor of London is complicit. Even Her Majesty the Queen and the Heir to the throne, Charles, Prince of Wales are both feckless, cowardly and dastardly betrayers of the people.

England is reaping what it has sowed.

Five hundred years ago, England's Kings and scoundrels killed their own people. They were Catholic and they rejected the Truth. They butchered monks and lay alike. They set the country back centuries in literacy and social development. They put this once great Catholic land on a path that has led directly to what happened on London Bridge.

The English people must rise up and demand action. Arrest, internment and mass deportation is necessary of those who do not renounce terrorism and have jihadist sympathies must be done.

Combined with an immediate calling out to God for forgiveness, mercy and grace to restore this once great land.

Canada is not far behind.

Modern day Jesuits call St. Jude the Apostle a liar!

The first three readings from Matins today for the Vigil of Pentecost are taken from the Epistle of St Jude.

Is St. Jude just a panacea for Catholics with hopeless causes? Is he just a pious little devotion? St. Jude, also known as Thaddeus and a cousin of the LORD had a lot to say. Shall we read it?

Lesson from the letter of St. Jude the Apostle
Jude 1:1-4
1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James: to them that are beloved in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called.
2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and charity be fulfilled.
3 Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.
4 For certain men are secretly entered in, (who were written of long ago unto this judgment,) ungodly men, turning the grace of our Lord God into riotousness, and denying the only sovereign Ruler, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not:
6 And the angels who kept not their principality, but forsook their own habitation, he hath reserved under darkness in everlasting chains, unto the judgment of the great day.
7 As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the neighbouring cities, in like manner, having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
8 In like manner these men also defile the flesh, and despise dominion, and blaspheme majesty.

9 When Michael the archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he durst not bring against him the judgment of railing speech, but said: The Lord command thee.
10 But these men blaspheme whatever things they know not: and what things soever they naturally know, like dumb beasts, in these they are corrupted.
11 Woe unto them, for they have gone in the way of Cain: and after the error of Balaam they have for reward poured out themselves, and have perished in the contradiction of Core.
12 These are spots in their banquets, feasting together without fear, feeding themselves, clouds without water, which are carried about by winds, trees of the autumn, unfruitful, twice dead, plucked up by the roots,

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own confusion; wandering stars, to whom the storm of darkness is reserved for ever.

The Apostle Jude has a lot to say to the Jesuits of today, particularly to Arturo Sosa and James Martin who have lost the faith, if they ever really had it, and teach lies and distortions on the Devil who is called Satan and on his most favourite vice, sodomy, to which James Martin is obsessed with.

When will the good Jesuits out there, and I know they are there as some actually read this blog, when will they call out their derelict brothers?

"A slap in the face?" Well, then turn the cheek so we can slap you again!

Related imageMarcelo Sanchez Sorondo, an alleged descendant of the Apostles of Jesus Christ is the head of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. Sorondo has referred to the Americans pulling out of the scandalous, globalist, Marxist Paris climate accord as being a "slap in the face."

A "slap in the face," Even in this, he mocks a phase so associated with Our Blessed Lord.

This is the same ecclesiastical nincompoop that said that Pope Bergoglio can bind Catholics under the pain of sin who do not believe that global warming is a sin at the equivalence of abortion.

Yes, he really said that.

The Pope has no authority to invent new sins, he is not a god. He is a very fallible man and Sorondo is a "loser."

Sorondo wants to speak of a "slap in the face." And what does this clown of an Archbishop think that faithful Catholics have been suffering for four years since the Jesuit hordes have taken over the Church emboldened by the embedded homosexualists and globalists.

There are fossils of ferns and palms in Greenland, Alaska and northern Alberta. I was taught this in school decades ago. A short Internet search will prove this to you. Therefore, we can conclude that the earth was warmer.

Is there climate change?

Yes.

The climate changes and then it changes again and then it changes back.

What these intellectual morons call Co2 is carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by green things, trees grass, and the petunias in your garden. What these created things do is give off oxygen which other created things, like people and animals use to breathe and live. Therefore, the more C02, the more oxygen, the more life.

God created all of this. He set it all in motion. We are to be responsible with His creation. We should enjoy the meat he gave us but raise the animals happy and healthy and slaughter them humanely. We should not pollute the water and air which we all breathe, we should all plant trees, I've put in two lilacs, a mountain ash, a magnolia, three birch and a crimson maple on my property in the last twenty years. Do you think I've not covered my "carbon footprint."

These globalists and the ones embedded in the Vatican are liars. They are doing the work of the Devil who is Satan himself, in whom they do not believe.

They have created a false church and a false religion and they are going along with those who seek to take over the world and control all wealth and thought for their own evil purposes. All of them, are of the Antichrist no matter what colour of cassock they wear.

God bless and protect Donald John Trump, the President of the United States.

The next slap for Sorondo may not be as pleasant.

The Society of Jesus is not!

As reported in the Catholic Herald, in an interview with Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Jesuit Superior General, Arturo Sosa said:

“Christians believe that we are made in the image and likeness of God, and God is free, but He always chooses to do good because He is all goodness. We have formed symbolic figures such as the devil to express evilSocial conditioning can also represent this figure, since there are people who act [in an evil way] because they are in an environment where it is difficult to act to the contrary.”

He calls Jesus a liar.

Arturo Sosa is of the Antichrist.

Back in 1965, Paul Harvey was a lot smarter than this wretched Jesuit minion.

You see St. Michael, I see St. James, let's call the whole thing off!

This is St. Michael's Cathedral in Toronto, the Seat of the Cardinal Archbishop of Toronto.

This is the Anglican Cathedral of St. James, the residing place of the Anglican Archlayman of Toronto.

This is the congratulatory advertisement taken out by Novalis on the back page of Toronto's Catholic Register special edition celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Archdiocese of Toronto.

That is all.

But for a chicken leg, John?

Malcolm Muggeridge, the legendary English author and journalist, knew Svetlana Stalin, the daughter of Soviet dictator, “Uncle Joe,” Stalin. It was through Muggeridge that it came to be known that on his deathbed, Stalin was plagued with terrifying hallucinations when suddenly, he sat up halfway in bed, clenched his fist and shook it towards heaven, before falling back down, dead. The last gesture of this murderous, sadistic loser was to defy and curse God.

As Catholics, we know that the only sin that God cannot forgive and will not forgive is the sin against the Holy Spirit – that is, final impenitence and an utter rejection of His Divine Mercy. While we cannot state with knowing certainty, based upon known knowns, it is likely that Joseph Stalin is in Hell.

In 1938, John Terrance Shields was born in New York City. The Irish-American Catholic became a priest sometime in the 1960’s probably around 1965. His formation would have been prior to, and during, the Second Vatican Council. Shields became "disillusioned" with the Church after the death of John XXIII particularly over what he saw as a rejection of the liberality of John XXIII and the Second Vatican Council by Paul VI. He was particularly disturbed by the Pope's affirmation of Original Sin, the theology of which Shields abhorred. He left the priesthood, and came to Canada in 1969. We assume that he was “laicised” by the Church. Eventually he married, a woman and then another woman.

Just like Stalin, Shields was a darling of the political Left. Alas, if only the similarity ended there.

In his book, The Priest Who Left His Priesthood in Pursuit of Cosmic Spirituality, Shields wrote, "I have drawn great personal strength from knowing that my conscious energy will persist beyond the moment of my death."

What arrogance. What hubris.

Euthanasia is now the law of the land in Canada and the cause has been led for years by those living on the west coast. Having left the priesthood and married, Shields was dying and chose, as did Stalin, to shake his fist at God and take his own life, with the aid of the doctor who murdered him, the nurses who assisted and the politicians, lawyers and judges who enabled it.

“Two days before he was scheduled to die, John Shields roused in his hospice bed with an unusual idea. He wanted to organize an Irish wake for himself. It would be old-fashioned with music and booze, except for one notable detail — he would be present. The party should take up a big section of Swiss Chalet, a family-style chain restaurant on the road out of town. Shields wanted his last supper to be one he so often enjoyed on Friday nights when he was a young Catholic priest — rotisserie chicken legs with gravy.”  John Shields, who had a rare and incurable disease called amyloidosis, was relieved to discover he qualified for medical assistance in dying. John Shields would have his “last supper.”
The link to the whole, original article in the New York Times follows. Catholics with faith will find it chilling.

A supper like the “one he so often enjoyed on Friday nights when he was a young Catholic priest — rotisserie chicken legs with gravy," on a day when Catholics, priest and laity alike, are to do penance and refrain from flesh-meat.

He was as defiant in his priesthood as he was on his deathbed actively shaking his fist at heaven and mocking the Church in exchange for a rotisserie chicken dinner.

Catholics can have hope that if John, before taking that final breath, before the brain waves flattened and his heart ceased to beat, called out from his mind to the LORD whom he abandoned for his Divine Mercy, he would have been heard.

Because of John Shields' example, how many others will choose to follow his path where more than the chicken is on the rotisserie.

It's okay, Your Holiness, we feel the same about him.

As John Robson of the National Post, so wryly points out, "The Pope is a lucky man. Not everyone gets a chance to be lectured on moral matters by Canada’s prime minister."

A Prime Minister who barred any candidates from the Liberal Party unless they supported abortion, no tolerance for any Member of Parliament to introduce a private members bill to any way deter abortion; a man who has ordered $600,000,000.00 of Canadian taxpayers money to fund abortion overseas, marches in sodomitical rights parades, ushered in euthanasia, legalised marijuana and prostitution to say nothing of the economic theft of future generations.

Oh, and did I mention that he is a Catholic?

Ontario to establish "safe space" for baby murderers

Ontario Attorney General Yasir Naqvi will be proposing legislation to establish safe zones around health facilities, after a rise in confrontations outside the Morgentaler abortion clinic here in Ottawa.Naqvi said women have the constitutional right to control their bodies, and the right to privacy. "It is critical that those protections be enshrined in law to provide consistent protection across the province," he told a news conference. "In an increasingly-polarized society, it is critical that we protect a woman's fundamental right to choose." Naqvi noted that several other provinces have similar laws in place. He said he plans to consult widely and hopes to have the legislation ready for consideration in the fall.

"The woman's fundamental right to choose?"

Choose what Naqvi?

Tell us, what is that choice?

It is this?

"If ye love Me, keep my commandments."

From the Third Reading of Matins for today, the Sunday After Ascension, taken from 1 John 2: 3, 4.

"And by this we know that we have known him, if we keep his commandments. He who saith that he knoweth him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."

True for all, especially for popes, prelates and presbyters.

Go into all the world, to every creature

The Paschal Mystery is, liturgically speaking, complete. Our LORD ascends to heaven to prepare a place for us. He did so after forty days, not forty-three.

Mark 16:14-20
14 At length he appeared to the eleven as they were at table: and he upbraided them with their incredulity and hardness of heart, because they did not believe them who had seen him after he was risen again. 15 And he said to them: Go ye into the whole world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues. 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they shall recover. 19 And the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God. 20 But they going forth preached everywhere: the Lord working withal, and confirming the word with signs that followed.

Homily by Pope St. Gregory the Great29th on the Gospels
I may be allowed to say that the disciples' slowness to believe that the Lord had indeed risen from the dead, was not so much their weakness as our strength. In consequence of their doubts, the fact of the Resurrection was demonstrated by many infallible proofs. These proofs we read and acknowledge. What then assureth our faith, if not their doubt? For my part, I put my trust in Thomas, who doubted long, much more than in Mary Magdalene, who believed at once. Through his doubting, he came actually to handle the holes of the Wounds, and thereby closed up any wound of doubt in our hearts.
Now confirm to our minds the trustworthiness of the fact that our Lord did indeed rise again from the dead, it is well for us to remark one of the statements of Luke Acts i. 4. "Eating together with them, He commanded them that they should not 1 John xiv. 16, 17 xvi. 7. depart from Jerusalem and a little afterward: "While they beheld, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight." Consider these words, note well these mysteries. After "eating together with them He was taken up." He ate and ascended: that the fact of His eating might show the reality of the Body in Which He went up. But Mark telleth us that before the Lord ascended into heaven, He upbraided His disciples; with their unbelief and hardness of heart. From this I know not why we should gather, but that the Lord then upbraided His disciples, for whom He was about to be parted in the body, to the end that the words which He spoke unto them as He left them might be the deeper imprinted on their hearts.
When then, He had rebuked the hardness of their heart, what command did He give them? Let us hear. "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature." Was the Holy Gospel, then my brethren, to be preached to thing insensate, or to brute beasts, that the Lord said to His disciples: "Preach the Gospel to every creature"? Nay, but by the words "every creature" we must understand man, in whom are combined qualities of all creatures. Being he hath in common with stones, life in common with trees, feeling in common with beasts, understanding in common with angels. If, then, man hath something in common with every creature, man is to a certain extent every creature. The Gospel, then, if it be preached to man only, is preached to every creature.

Any man who would equate this, the "Great Commission," with the Jihad of the Mohammedans, is suffering from a delusion, proffering deception and possibly under some kind of diabolical possession.

When those Shepherd's fail to "preach the Gospel to every creature," they disobey the very LORD GOD Himself. The very Jesus, that come to earth as man in the womb of the Virgin, lived, taught, suffered, died, arose and ascended. This very Jesus, they defy.

Praised by Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen.

"Two popes, active and emeritus"

More and more, the questions are being asked and hints are being dropped, leading many to wonder, is Ann Barnhardt's hypothesis correct? Is Benedict still the Pope, the real, Pope?

When a publication in the conservative Catholic world, solid and orthodox in the Novus Ordo world publishes an article stating, the following, one cannot just conclude that Ann is wrong, or a nut; she may, in fact, be on to something.

Image result for francis benedict pope

"And so the two popes, active and emeritus, speaking and silent, remain at odds. In the end, it does not matter who comes last or speaks most; what matters is who thinks with the mind of a Church that has seen countless heresies come and go. When Benedict’s enraptured words are compared to the platitudes of his successor, it is hard not to notice a difference: One pope echoes the apostles, and the other parrots Walter Kasper. Because this difference in speech reflects a difference in belief, a prediction can be made. Regardless of who dies first, Benedict will outlive Francis."

Francis is the Pope because he is the Bishop of Rome. Ratzinger renounced the papacy in accord with Canon Law. Francis was elected by scoundrels and manipulators, but he has been accepted as bishop by the priests of Rome and the Catholic faithful. From all we can see, Father Bergoglio is the Pope.

But what of that which we cannot see?

Pope Francis condemns Catholics who hold true to doctrine, calls them, "fanatics"

The previous post reports on Cardinal Maradiaga's inflammatory comments about Cardinal Burke. Below is the homily given by Francis, Bishop of Rome last Friday, May 19, at the chapel in the Casa Santa Marta.

Note the similarity between the two. Note also that this homily was given whilst the Rome Life Forum organised by Voice of the Family was continuing. Is it possible that this rebuke was meant for these and the speakers, including Cardinals Caffara and Burke, Bishop Schneider and such luminous laymen as Prof. Roberto de Mattei?

The Bishop of Rome has said that the duty of the Church is to "clarify doctrine," and that the "spirit of the Gospel" must be better understood.

The "spirit of the Gospel." Have we not hear this before? The so-called "spirit of Vatican II?" There is no doctrine of Christ to be clarified. The Gospels are quite clear and the Church has had two thousand years to discuss and discern. There is nothing new to develop, nothing new to clarify, nothing new to determine. Nothing has changed. Adultery is what it is. Sodomy is what it is. Sin is what it is.

Think for a moment. How is it that in 2017 with all of our education, more than at any other time in human history, with the Internet and the information of the ages at our fingertips, how can it be that the Gospels now need clarification? The Holy Spirit does not change, what was true before is true now, what was a lie before is still a lie. It is blasphemy to think this.

What evil god would suddenly, in 2014 or 2017 change his truth for what came before? Only a false god, only an evil, diabolical god would do such a thing, only a flying-spaghetti monster in the sky would do such a thing and play tricks on the fools of humanity who for two millennia walked a certain path only to be enlightened now. Those fools, those idiots, those silly ancestors who actually fell for the lie of false god. Those silly deluded souls who did not have the "god of surprises" to lead them.

No. This is not of God, it is of the diabolical.

God does not change. God does not trick His people. God has not treated us as fools, nor has he abandoned us. But make no mistake, we have abandoned Him and by doing so we have left the Church so weak that it would be taken over by men who hate you, hate me and more than anything, hate Him.

The Church is in her greatest crisis since the Arian heresy. As St. Athanasius is reported to have said then, "They have the buildings, we have the Faith."

For this writer, the loyalty and docility to the Pope and Bishops goes only as far as their loyalty and docility to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Papolatry and episcoplatry is a sin. It is not Catholic. It is not from the Holy Spirit.

Praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen.

“So we are faced with two groups of people. The group of the apostles who want to discuss the problem, and the others who go and create problems. They divide, they divide the Church, they say that what the Apostles preached is not what Jesus said, that it is not the truth.”
"There were many [councils], up until Vatican II, which clarified doctrine: for example, when we recite the Creed, it is the result of councils that have defined doctrine… It is a duty of the Church to clarify doctrine so that what Jesus said in the Gospels is better understood, what is the Spirit of the Gospels…. "
"But there were always those people who, without any commission, goes out to disturb the Christian community with speeches that upset souls: ‘Eh, no, someone who says that is a heretic, you can’t say this, or that; this is the doctrine of the Church.’ And they are fanatics about things that are not clear, like these fanatics who go around there, sowing discord in order to divide the Christian community. And this is the problem: when the doctrine of the Church, that which comes from the Gospel, that which the Holy Spirit inspires – because Jesus said, 'He will teach us and remind you of all that I have taught’ –  that doctrine becomes an ideology. And this is the great error of these people."
"We must not be frightened when we hear of the opinions of the ideologues of doctrine. The Church has its own Magisterium, the Magisterium of the Pope, of the Bishops, of the Councils, and we must go along the path that comes from the preaching of Jesus, and from the teaching and assistance of the Holy Spirit, it is always open, always free… this is the freedom of the Spirit, but in doctrine… doctrine unites, the councils always unite the Christian community… ideology divides… for them ideology is more important than doctrine: they leave aside the Holy Spirit."
"Today it falls to me to call for the grace of mature obedience to the Magisterium of the Church, that obedience to what the Church has always taught and there continues to teach us…. it develops the Gospel, explains it better each time, in fidelity to Peter, the bishops, and ultimately, to the Holy Spirit who guides and supports this process… to pray also for those who transform doctrine into ideology, so that the Lord may give them the grace of conversion to the unity of the Church, to the Holy Spirit and to true doctrine."

Today is a "Minor Rogation Day" preceding the Ascension of the Lord

For those reading the Office today according to the pre-Bugnini, pre-Pius XII/John XXIII destruction and well before the absurdly abbreviated and abridged Liturgy of the Hours, one will have noticed that it is a Rogation Day. (Note that this is not within the 1961 Office or 1962 Missal.)

If you are in Canada, it is a national holiday today celebrating Queen Victoria, so you have some to pray it.

What is a Rogation Day?

V. And lead us not into temptation:
R. But deliver us from evil.

Psalm 69
(Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him.)
O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.
Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:
Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis well.
Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.
But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.
V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Ghost.
R. As it was in the beginning, is now, * and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

V. Be to us, O Lord, a tower of strength.
R. Against the power of the enemy.
V. Let not the enemy prevail against us.
R. Nor the son of evil have power to hurt us.
V. Lord, deal not with us according to our sins.
R. Nor requite us according to our evil doings.
V. Let us pray for our Sovereign Pontiff N.
R. The Lord watch over him and give him life and happiness on earth, and deliver him not to the will of his enemies.
V. Let us pray for our benefactors.
R. Be so kind, O Lord, as to give eternal life to all those who do us good, for thy name's sake. Amen.
V. Let us pray for the faithful departed.

Prayer
Let us pray.
O God, it is according to thy nature always to show mercy and forgiveness.
Receive our petition that we and all thy servants, bound by the chains of sin, may, by thy tender mercy, be pardoned.
We beg thee, O Lord, hear our prayers as we kneel before thee. Pardon our sins, as we confess them to thee, so that thou mayest, in thy kindness, give us pardon as well as peace.
In thy kindness show us, O Lord, thy unutterable mercy, and at one and the same time free us from all our sins, and snatch us away from the punishment which we deserve for them.
O God, thou art offended by sin, and placated by penance. Look with favor upon the prayers of thy people kneeling before thee. Turn away the scourges of thine anger which we have deserved for our sins.
Almighty, everlasting God, have mercy on thy servant N., our Sovereign Pontiff. Direct him, according to thy mercy into the path of eternal salvation so that, by thy grace, he may both desire those things that are pleasing to thee, and may perform them with all his strength.
O God, from whom all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works do proceed; Give unto thy servants that peace which the world cannot give, so that, with our hearts set to obey thy commandments, and freed from the fear of the enemy, we may pass our lives in peace under thy protection.
Inflame our hearts and our desires, O Lord, with the fire of the Holy Spirit, so that we may serve thee with a chaste body, and please thee with a pure heart.
O God, thou art the creator and redeemer of all the faithful. Grant to the souls of thy servants departed the remission of all their sins, so that by our faithful prayers they may obtain the pardon they have always desired.
We beg thee, O Lord, to direct our actions by thy holy inspiration, and carry them forward by thy gracious assistance, so that every prayer and work of ours may always begin with thee, and, begun through thee, be happily ended.
Almighty and everlasting God, who hast dominion over the living and the dead and who art merciful to all whom thou foreknowest shall be thine by faith and good works, we humbly beg of thee, that they for whom we have intended to pour out our prayers, whether this present world still detains them in the flesh, or whether the world to come has already received them out of their bodies, may, through the prayers of all thy saints, by thy merciful goodness obtain the remission of all their sins
Through Jesus Christ, thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.
R. Amen.
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto thee.
V. May the almighty and merciful Lord graciously hear us.
R. Amen.
V. May the souls of the faithful, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
R. Amen.
