No, Father James Martin, S.J. - there are no "gay" Saints

Father James Martin, a Jesuit, Editor of America Magazine and now a Vatican hack in the truest sense, has recently said that some saints were "probably gay," and that we will be surprised when we get to heaven (please God!) to be "greeted by LGBT men and women."

Let us be perfectly clear. Father James Martin is not a stupid man and I cannot judge if he is evil, but I can state without any doubt that what this Jesuit has said, is evil. Nah, I'm wrong, he could only be evil for saying such a wretched thing.

Image result for james martin jesuitThere are no LGBT people in heaven.

There are no sodomites in heaven.

There are no lesbians in heaven.

There are no fornicators, adulterers, murderers, liars or rapists in heaven.

There are Saints washed in the blood of Christ. There are men and women who suffered and overcame sin and triumphed through the Lamb. This includes men and women who had all kinds of temptations and did not give in to them and when they did, they repented, undertook penance and triumphed over sin and then endured, or still endure, Purgatory, where the Lamb's blood gloriously washes and the Spirit's fire refines that the soul may be pure enough to stand before the Father.

What Father Martin has done is manipulative and deceitful. It is evil. It is a lie.

God will not be mocked.

James Martin EssJay - the Trans Lying Jesuit or is that a Lying Trans Jesuit?

Not a day passes now without one of these demonic disciples of Satan, these of the once great and holy Jesuit Order, foaming off at the mouth lies and heresy and leading souls to Hell.

Yesterday, it was Arturo Sosa, EssJay, the newly elected Superior General who declares Jesus's words to be an afterthought and unclear, after all, there were no recorders back then, eh? What a filthy and heretical and perverted mind to conjure up such blasphemous bile.

Once again now, we have James Martin, EssJay, a man whom Michael Voris has been recently asking, if he is a "homosexual."

This filthy malefactor cares more about political issues and ideology and his own agenda, than about saving souls for Christ, he is so deranged, so obviously unfit for the holy priesthood. These men have no faith except in the god of sodomy, they do not believe anymore in the supernatural. They are worse than modernists, as if that were even possible.

Yes, so-called "trans students" endure and suffer. They suffer at the hands of men like Martin who lie to them, who affirm them in their delusion. These people are now owed affirmation, they are owed the truth. They are not owed radical surgery and chemical alterations, they are owed love, compassion an spiritual and psychiatric therapy.

James Martin is a liar. He does not love trans people.

He actually hates them.

And he even hates himself.

Today is the Feast of St. Peter Damian according to the only calendar that counts.

I've read this and I highly recommend his, Book of Gomorrah.

“Tell us, you unmanly and effeminate man, what do you seek in another male that you do not find in yourself?”
“For God’s sake, why do you damnable sodomites pursue the heights of ecclesiastical dignity with such fiery ambition?”
“By what right or by what law can one bind or loose the other when he is constrained by the bonds of evil deeds common to them both?”
“Who can expect the flock to prosper when its shepherd has sunk so deep into the bowels of the devil?”
“Who, by his lust, will consign a son whom he spiritually begotten for God to slavery under the iron law of Satanic tyranny?”
“This utterly diseased queen of Sodom renders him who obeys the laws of her tyranny infamous to men and odious to God.”
“Without fail, [the vice of sodomy] brings death to the body and destruction to the soul. It pollutes the flesh, extinguishes the light of the mind, expels the Holy Spirit from the temple of the human heart, and gives entrance to the devil, the stimulator of lust.”
”[The vice of sodomy] leads to error, totally removes truth from the deluded mind . . . It opens up Hell and closes the gates of Paradise.”
”[The vice of sodomy] is this vice that violates temperance, slays modesty, strangles chastity, and slaughters virginity.”
[The vice of sodomy] defiles all things, sullies all things, pollutes all things.”
“Who will make a mistress of a cleric, or a woman of a man?”
“It is not sinners, but the wicked who should despair; it is not the magnitude of one’s crime, but contempt of God that dashes one’s hopes.”

Collect of the Mass of St. Peter Damian:

COLLECT

O Almighty God, grant that we may follow the teaching and example of Your blessed confessor bishop Peter, and turn away from the things of earth that we may attain the joys of heaven.

Can there be any more doubt about the dissent and heresy of James Martin, S.J. -- Is he really just a homosexual himself?

Image result for james martin sj

Truly, this man has his reward, and his award. Only a narcissist, and most homosexuals have an intrinsic narcissism along with the objective and intrinsic disorder, would pose in such a manner. Only a priest who has lost the meaning of his vocation would pose in such an arrogant manner as if on some little holy card.

In a meandering, pandering and patronising diatribe, Martin twists and turns Catholic teaching on its head in his praise and false compassion of these suffering souls.

James Martin of the Society of Jesus is a liar.

James Martin of the Society of Jesus is a deceiver.

James Martin of the Society of Jesus would rather leave people in the darkness of their sin than bring them to the truth of freedom and salvation in Jesus Christ and His Church.

James Martin of the Society of Jesus is a betrayer of Our Lord and St. Ignatius. He should be, but will not be, severely disciplined  by his religious superiors.

James Martin of the Society of Jesus must be a homosexual himself.

You can read a summary of his speech on LifeSiteNews

James Martin, EssJay - Award winning liar

Ah, our good friend James Martin - a man who never saw a true teaching of Christ that he couldn't twist. Jimmy is getting an award from New Ways Ministry, a group of men and women who undertake behaviours such as anal intercourse, oral copulation, fisting and felching and expect us to believe that these behaviours are blest by Almighty God - what blasphemy. What a deception these poor people are under. A spiritual and psychological sickness that is fed by the likes of Martin.

Rather than accepting their praise, perhaps this corrupted Jesuit might warn them that not only will they face higher rates of alcoholism, drug abuse, physical abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, they will end up requiring diapers due to a non-functioning sphincter and then die at a younger age and end up in Hell, lest they repent and turn to Christ.

But that would require James Martin to be a real man, a real priest of Jesus Christ, a real missionary of the real truth and the real love which begins and ends with the Alpha and Omega whom Martin twists to serve his only perverted political and social agenda.

It is not about love, it is about truth.

Jesuit James Martin congratulates Party of Death Nominee, Jesuit-educated Tim Kaine

We knew this was going to happen.

One day, this man is going to go before God, if he even really believes in the Particular Judgement. He will be held accountable for his actions, not the least of which was to praise a man who has sold his Catholic soul for less than Wales!

This, is the good little Jesuit student, that James Martin,S.J., congratulates.

"I have a traditional Catholic personal position, but I am very strongly supportive that women should make these decisions and government shouldn't intrude. I'm a strong supporter of Roe v. Wade and women being able to make these decisions. In government, we have enough things to worry about. We don't need to make people's reproductive decisions for them."

At least Mike Pence doesn't pretend to be a Catholic, anymore.

Now, how about this?

Any bets on how long it will take for a chance meeting with a certain Jorge Bergoglio, S.J. for the photo-op to secure the apostate-Catholic vote?

Catholics who leave "gays" in their sin are no different than the Mohammedan, Omar Mateen

If you do not know who Joseph Sciambra is, you will after reading this.

Perhaps the Bishop of Rome should ask Joseph what he thinks about apologies to "gays".

But first, Pope Bergoglio should apologise for calling them "gay" and affirming them in their sin.

Mohammedans, such as the terrorist in Orlando, want to send "gays" to Hell.

Catholics want to save them from it. Catholics who preach the truth, that is.

Those who do not, those who are closet sodomites in clerical garb, those who want to meet them where they are and affirm them there, are no different than that pathetic Mohammedan, Omar Mateen.

If Bergoglio, Marx, Cupich, clergy such as James Martin, S.J., Edward L. Beck and others wish to leave these men where they are, they are also terrorists and they will burn in Hell right along with them.

Joseph Sciambra is not one of these men.

He is, no doubt, hers!

Should the Catholic Church apologize to gays?

When I was a conflicted and scared boy growing up within the confusing confines of the post-Conciliar Church of the 1970s, I needed someone, anyone, to teach me and to tell me that Jesus wanted to be more than just my friend, that He wanted to be my Savior – that He wanted to save me from myself. I knew, even from a young age, that something was going incredibly wrong within me – I was terrified and I needed help. However, the Jesus they offered was a mere historical figure; a guy who meant well, but who was dead and distant; he was the hippie-Christ from “Godspell” in a Superman shirt – with the Bible as a superhero comic-strip.

When I was teenager, quickly swerving towards homosexuality, a few noticed, but did nothing to help. At school, a sort of pandemic relativism was extolled as an individual rule of life: custom-made for every human person on earth. The detached Jesus from my youth cared little about our daily drudgery or our personal proclivities.

On the verge of accepting my homosexuality, I was told by a Catholic priest that I needn’t worry as every homosexual is born gay; he sent me on my way with a socially responsible warning about the dangers of unsafe sex.

Friday 17 June 2016

James Martin, Edward Beck, Blase Cupich, Robert McElroy, Robert Lynch and their ilk are the real "haters"

Following the deaths of 49 Americans at a club in Orlando, murders caused by a Mohammedan terrorist, James Martin, S.J., produced a video which he released on line. As with others, of his ilk, including Edward Beck, of the Passionist Order and known as "Father CNN", and the heresiarchs in Chicago, San Diego, and St. Petersburg, the real fault here is the hatred and intolerance of Catholics for persons with same-sex attraction.

Father Richard Heilman at Roman Catholic Man says calls out his brother priest:

This is where Fr. Martin’s skewed understanding of faith is so dangerous. You see, by justifying, rationalizing or even ignoring the sinful acts of homosexuality, we are, in essence, saying, “Come home and bring the prostitutes with you.” What are you saying, Fr. Martin? In opposition with very clear biblical and Church teachings that homosexual acts are gravely sinful, are you saying that is no longer true? Or, are you saying, “Come home and bring the prostitutes with you?” Maybe the whole idea of being separated from God when we engage in mortal sin is a “hateful concept” for you?

These men are liars and deceivers.

Mohammedans want to send "gay" persons to Hell. Catholics want them saved from it.

James Martin, Edward Beck and others of their ilk are liars. They wish to not only meet people where they are but keep them there. Instead of bringing them out of the mire, they only sink into it with them.

True respect and love for "Gay" men and women is found in pointing out the error of their ways and calling them to repentance in Jesus Christ and His Sacraments. Leaving them in their sin is to hate them.

These men will spend in eternity in Hell looking into the faces of those whom they deceived.

We must hope that some of those murdered by the Mohammedan, asked God for mercy before they died. We must pray that those who survived, may see it as a gift and repent of the lifestyle of sin that they have trapped themselves in.

These priests and bishops are amongst the worst enemies of people locked in their sins.

Jesuits declare Church rebranding spoken of by Rosica complete - The Church of Pope Francis!

As part of the ongoing "rebranding" of the Catholic Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ as announced recently by Father Thomas J. Rosica of the Congregation of St. Basil and Canada's ever growing and relevant, Salt + Light Television, America Magazine, that Jesuitical periodical of Catholic tradition and orthodoxy, has today declared the next stage of the Rosica rebranding as the "Church of Pope Francis."

It seems that these Jesuits have determined that the Society of Jesus is no longer relevant to the preaching of the Gospel and the conversion of pagans, as they once were. Rumour has it, that the Society founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola will soon be renamed the Society of Francis in keeping with the global Catholic rebranding and the Francis Effect.

In other news, Asia Bibi still languishes in a prison in the Islamic State of Pakistan awaiting her death. When asked to comment on her continue imprisonment, America Magazine editor-at-largesse James Martin EssJay, stated, "Ah, Asia, I've been there once, but isn't Bibi the Israeli Prime Minister?"

In other news, Pope Francis says that it is "wrong to equate Islam with violence." Speaking on an aeroplane...

James Martin, S.J. A liar, a deceiver, leaving a man dead in his sin!

All of these malefactors, from Jorge  Bergoglio to this James Martin must be called out.

James Martin, S.J. is a liar. The online picture below reveals the lie in his response to a poor man who has fallen in to sodomy and thinks he has a "husband." Well, Ian MacDougald, James Martin won't tell you the truth but you already know it. You said it yourself.

James Martin, S.J. ! This verse from scripture is for you.

May St.Ignatius intercede and convert you before you end up dead and in Hell for all eternity.

18

Si, dicente me ad impium: Morte morieris, non annuntiaveris ei, neque locutus fueris ut avertatur a via sua impia et vivat, ipse impius in iniquitate sua morietur, sanguinem autem ejus de manu tua requiram.
18

If, when I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die: thou declare it not to him, nor speak to him, that he may be converted from his wicked way, and live: the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at thy hand.
18

When I threaten I the sinner with doom of death, it is for thee to give him word, and warn him, as he loves his life, to have done with sinning. If not, he shall die as he deserves, but for his undoing thyself shalt be called to account.

These men will dialogue straight into Hell

A few weeks ago, the Vatican issued a non-magisterial document on our relationship with the Jewish people in commemoration of the Second Vatican Council's document Nostra Aetate. It was a disgrace to the Church and its mission to "go into the world" and convert it.

It is a betrayal of the Jewish people and the Truth and it is, as I wrote then, I believe it to be fundamentally, anti-Semitic.

Jews must come to Jesus Christ to be saved. He is their Messiah every much as He is ours. He came as the WORD MADE FLESH on Christmas 2,015 or so years ago depending on the calendric accuracy. Yet, we have under the current Bishop of Rome, Jorge Bergoglio, a renunciation of the mission to convert the Jews, that they are already saved under the Old Covenant.

There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. No Protestants. No Jews. No Muslims, No Hindus. No Buddhists. No Mormans. No Jehovah's Witnesses. No animists, no atheists, no pagans. None will get to Heaven. All will go to Hell for all eternity and no puerile little videos by James Martin, EssJay will change that.

Now, can these Protestants, Jews and Muslims and others be saved by God? That is up to Him. God is not bound by His Sacraments, we are. If one of these is saved, it is not because of their false religion, it is in spite of it and because of the grace that flows from the Catholic Church and Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We cannot know who these are, who are saved or if in fact they will be. We can only give them to God in his Divine Mercy and the rest is up to Him.

How sad then with Jews for Jesus and Christianity Today seem to understand this more than our own Catholic leaders. They continue to report on the disgraceful document from Rome. Catholics have either ignored it or forgotten about it quickly enough.

When one puts into a search engine "Pope Francis dialogue" it is amazing how many times he has used that word. There is a blog called "Shaping the future with "dialogue" where they endorse the Vatican's latest.

They will dialogue themselves straight into Hell for this betrayal. It is a disgrace that a Catholic Pope betray the Church's mission with so much disregard for the Truth. We, as Catholics, must call him out and the bishops and cardinals who have put this document together. They are wrong. It is not breaking communion with the Church to state this. It is they who have broken communion with us.

I once asked an erudite religious superior and author about Paul VI, the greatest disaster on the Church in 500 years only eclipsed by Francis, how was it possible that a Pope could issue Humanae Vitae and the Credo of the People of God and then do so much other damage to the Faith which in every other aspect of his Papacy is clear and unequivocal? He replied that "Humanae Vitae and the Credo were issued by Paul VI, the rest was Giovanni Montini." How interesting that these Modernists waited until Father Luigi Villa died before announcing the "Beatification" of Paul VI. Perhaps, they knew he was right and would have rained on their parade.

I think that this is a good comparison to what we are experiencing now and a good explanation of what I intend when I refer to Pope Francis as Jorge Bergoglio, Bishop of Rome. When he is in communion with his predecessors and the Magisterium of two-thousand years, then he is Pope Francis, When he allows documents such as the one discussed here which is a  profound betrayal and an embarrassment, a Modernist, Masonic diabolical betrayal, then he is Jorge Bergoglio.

On this document about Jews, just as the nonsense that he can bind us to believe junk-science at worst and scientific theory at best, I dissent.
The Old Covenant to the Jews no longer applies. it is fulfilled in the New and in Christ. Jorge Bergoglio is wrong; and so are the Jews.

Tom Rosica, James Martin and the real "theologians" against you and me

“There being an imminent danger for the Faith, prelates must be questioned, even publicly, by their subjects. Thus, St. Paul, who was a subject of St. Peter, questioned him publicly on account of an imminent danger of scandal in a matter of Faith. And, as the Glossa of St. Augustine puts it (Ad Galatas 2.14), ‘St. Peter himself gave the example to those who govern so that if sometimes they stray from the right way, they will not reject a correction as unworthy even if it comes from their subjects.” (SummaTheologiae, IIa IIae, Q. 33, A. 4)

If you've not heard about what happened to Ross Douthat of the New York Times, at the hands of Catholic so-called "theologians," it is time you did. On October 17, Douthat penned a column in the New York Times, The Plot to Change the Catholic Church wasting no time getting to the point in the very first paragraph of his op-ed column.
The Vatican always seems to have the secrets and intrigues of a Renaissance court — which, in a way, is what it still remains. The ostentatious humility of Pope Francis, his scoldings of high-ranking prelates, have changed this not at all; if anything, the pontiff’s ambitions have encouraged plotters and counterplotters to work with greater vigor.
And right now the chief plotter is the pope himself.

I read it the day it was published and was astonished that the secular media was coming to the same conclusions as many of us.

The push back against Douthat did not take long. James Martin. S.J. was first of the mark and has since used the word "hater" against those who question his Jesuitical arrogance. Then, a group of so-called "theologians" issued a public Letter to the Editor of the Times, chastising Douthat. Were they trying to get him fired?  Douthat is not the first to attacked by churchmen for stating his opinion, he will not be the last.

Douthat has responded again. Fundamentally, according to the "theologians," his crime is not being one, therefore, he is not part of the club and has no business commenting. These modern day no-nothings and their clericalist aides and abettors hate an educated laity.

Dorothy Cummings McLean picks up this matter in Catholic World Report
As the Affair Douthat unfolds, I keep attaching faces to the names I hadn't heard or seen for many years. One of them belongs to an active homosexual who brought his boyfriend along on the departmental retreat and shared a room with him. Another belongs to an active unmarried heterosexual who brought his girlfriend along on the departmental retreat and shared a room with her. They were both very pleasant and cheerful men. I liked them very much—which does not erase the facts that they did not believe the teaching of the Catholic Church concerning sexual morality and that today they are professional Catholic theologians.

Some Catholics these are, poisoning the minds of our youth not enough in touch with the Truth as Mrs. Cummings McLean was whilst a student there.

In the combox at CWR, a writer quotes the late Richard John Neuhaus writing in First Things in 2003.
It was at a conference in the mid eighties that I listened to Hans Küng hold forth in triumphalist tones on the victory of the progressives. “We” control, he announced, the seminaries, the academic departments of theology, the catechetical and liturgical institutions, the publishing houses, the magazines that matter, and the chanceries. Most of the bishops, he said, are now on “our” side, and those who aren’t have been neutralized. Anyone who wants a future in the hierarchy or the Catholic academy has no choice but to cooperate, he observed. It was a clean sweep; all that was left were a few details; the disgruntled band of risibly reactionary dissidents from the new order didn’t understand what had happened and couldn’t do much about it."
Douthat is right. These heretics, and that is what they are, hid underground as best they could under the last two papacies, They worked quietly, these malefactors did, to undermine and destroy the faith. Under Jorge Bergoglio, they have the confidence to come right out in the open, either because the Bishop of Rome is weak and ignorant to what is going on around him or because he endorses it and promotes. it

So what does this have about Thomas Rosica, CSB?

I have a collection of emailed letters from Rosica. Letters which insult and deride this writer and more. Cummings wrote about some of them previously at Catholic World Report following the farce of a vexatious lawsuit against this writer by Rosica. A poverty vowed Basilian the suit was undertaken, allegedly "pro bono," by Fogler Rubinoff, one of Toronto's largest and most expensive legal operations.

Below is one of the letters. I am making it public because it shows that this attempt to silence and berate lay men and women who have every right and duty to raise their concerns to the Church and Catholics in general is not new. These bishops, priests and theologians are the best examples of clericalism, something they apparently thought was wrong in the Church before the Council which they adore as if it is their god.

Tom Rosica, James Martin and the others cannot silence the Catholic faithful and the truth. They have played their hands and they have been exposed. They are not the President and Vice-President of the Internet

They cannot cope with the fact that we may not be "bishops or liturgists" but we do know what words mean and there are many we could use and Dorothy Cummings McLean knows it too.

"The brain-blowing combination of asserting that what is not Catholic teaching is somehow Catholic teaching and then shrieking like a frightened schoolgirl when the word "heresy" is uttered is what the American Catholic/Jesuit theological academy is all about."

James Martin, S.J., heresiarch Jesuit manipulates publicly, the reception and nature of the Holy Eucharist!

"I believe, of course, that it's the Body and Blood of Christ, but you know, as Pope Francis said, communion is not a reward for the perfect.  It is medicine for the sick.  It is medicine for those who need it.   So, you know, you look at the Last Supper, I mean, were the disciples to whom Jesus gave communion all perfect?  Absolutely not.  I mean, he gave communion to Judas, for pete's sake.  So, I think we need to get away from this idea that you need to be perfect in order to approach the communion rail."
“What makes people hypocrites? They disguise themselves, they disguise themselves as good people: they make themselves up like little holy cards, looking up at heaven as they pray, making sure they are seen—they believe they are more righteous than others, they despise others.”  Pope  Francis (source)

I'm happy to know that in James Martin's parish there is a "communion rail," perhaps he would send us a picture.

It is good to see that more than a few bloggers and haters on Twitter have noticed this man's agenda and heterodoxy.

Father Dwight Longenecker writes:

Fr. Martin has set up a straw man, and this is a typical tactic of the progressive propagandist. They portray those who oppose them as wild eyed, frenzied lunatics while they, of course, are the mild mannered, smiling and reasonable voice of common sense. Really? I expect there are some Catholics who do “hate” LGBT people”, but I haven’t met any. It suits Fr Martin, however, to pump up the hate speech because it’s easy to hate the haters. Consequently by pumping up the hate speech he raises the level of hatred. Those who pump up the accusations of hate pump up hate. They should be reminded that not everyone who disagrees with the LGBT agenda is a bigoted, self righteous, legalistic hater. Bullying others by calling them self righteous, legalistic haters weakens one’s position.Fr Martin is smart.  He should be better than that.
Keep it coming James; you're just too much fun. Almost as much as my Basilian friend.

Now, for a little irony courtesy of our Jesuit friend with an acknowledgment for finding it to One Mad Mom.

Well, if calling people "haters" is not an "ad hominem attack" then, I don't know what is.

Who gave this boy his First Holy Communion?

James Martin, S.J. - distorts and manipulates Synod document on Facebook and CNN

Jesuit priest James Martin of America Magazine has become infamous on Twitter. Calling out people as "haters" and learning from Tom Rosica how to block critics to the point where the #RosicaBlockParty has been joined by the #JamesMartinSJBlockParty. Silly boys, did you not know that a second browser or account solves that problem and a copy and paste of the tweet does the trick?

James Martin is a "homosexualists" and an "adulterist." He has pushed these agendas before and during the Synod and he continues to do so and in ways dangerous to souls, in spite of what he says about, "haters."

You, my dear Catholic, have a duty - to call out malefactors such as this Jesuitical heresiarch. He, who would be beaten out the Society by Saints such as Ignatius, Francis Xavier, Jean de Brebeuf and Paul Miki for his heterodoxy and his lies, can not be allowed to confuse and distort. When men such as these take this Synod and its mediocre and ambiguous texts and twist them for their own advantage and those whose bidding they undertake, they must be called out and challenged.

Note very carefully. The Synod has not changed one thing

A synod is an advisory body. The Pope can do something or everything with the advice he has been given. He can do all or he can do nothing. No Law has changed. No Doctrine has changed. What has changed is how the document will be used to manipulate an agenda, as this Jesuit is doing and which we must confront everywhere. Unlike our parents and grandparents after Vatican II who had little knowledge and no tools, we are different.

What has also changed is that we have a Pope who seems to relish in calling people names giving a clue of how he thinks and how he might act in terms of the Synod report, but that is for another post.

Martin writes about "change" and asks why some Catholics are so 'afraid of it." The matter of change was dealt with quite well by the prolific hymn-writer (Faith of Our Fathers is one), Rev. F.W. Faber, Cong. Orat. This convert from Anglicanism and Blessed John Newman contemporary, said:
"All change is bad from its very nature. It is full of evil: it unsettles and disturbs, it is full of the world, it is the very spirit of the world and nothing worse can be said of it. Whenever we are tempted to change any thing, we must not only be quite sure that the old system contained evils, but also that those evils were more numerous and more important, than the ones we must inevitably bring to change. ... but change in religion is of all things most perilous."
Let's take a look at Martin's words and rebuke him, shall we?

Why are some Catholic so afraid of change?

The Rev. James Martin is a Jesuit priest, editor at large of America and author of the new novel "The Abbey." The views expressed in this column belong to Martin.
 Author Father James Martin
Father James Martin(CNN)
The Synod on the Family, the gathering of bishops from around the world that just concluded, changed no Catholic doctrine. None. Yet, Martin on Facebook was telling the divorced and remarried that they could now, after searching their "conscience" in the internal forum, receive Holy Communion. Martin knows that that is a discipline but it based on Scripture, but the reader, catholic or otherwise, does not. Martin is twisting the language so that the problem is with those who oppose it. But you wouldn't know that from the fierce reactions the synod evoked. Even the possibility that the church might deal more openly with, for example, divorced and remarried Catholics or the LGBT community, sent some Catholics into a near frenzy. The Church has always been open with people. Those in adultery and those suffering from same-sex attraction have the same opportunity as you and I. Go for spiritual direction, confess your sins, amend your life and you're good to go. Martin also uses the homosexualist language, without stating that anyone who thinks that they are "trans-gendered" is suffering from mental illness. He would rather leave them in their pathological state than even give them the medical and psychiatric help they need to say nothing of the spiritual. It seemed out of proportion to the synod's discussions as well as the final document, a rather workaday overview of issues related to the family. The final report did not, for example, say that divorced and remarried could return to Communion. But you did. Instead it talked about possible avenues of reconciliation that already existed. Nor did it approve same-sex marriage. Instead it spoke of respecting LGBT Catholics. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church has always stated - again, a manipulation of the truth. Overall, the document stressed two concepts: "accompaniment" and "discernment." The church must accompany families in the complexity of their lives and use discernment, a form of prayerful decision-making, to help people arrive at good decisions based on church teaching. The final document is not even the final word. Pope Francis will most likely issue his own document within a few months, summing up the synod's findings and perhaps moving the discussion farther. Or he may do nothing at all. Catholic bishops conclude 'spicy' meeting with compromise Nice word choice, Padre,  But even the hint of change prompted outrage -- which was directed not only at Pope Francis, but also the bishops at the synod, Catholic commentators, and from time to time, me. At times, the level of sheer spite was astounding. Martin is clearly shocked that he can't get away with Clericalism! Why? First, let's give the benefit of the doubt to people upset by Pope Francis and some of the synod's discussions. Those disturbed by the possibility of change are usually devout Catholics who believe that the law is an important part of Catholic tradition. And it is. Make no mistake: Jesus himself said he came to "fulfill the law." Many of the church's rules flow directly from the Gospels. Just consider divorce, the synod topic that captured much of the attention in the West. It is unequivocally stated by Jesus to be wrong. Laws also are part of tradition, which Catholics believe is guided by the Holy Spirit. Even if certain rules do not come from the lips of Jesus, but rather from popes or other councils like Vatican II, they are considered to be inspired by the Holy Spirit. Thus, another reason to oppose change: Why would we change something that either comes from Jesus or is safeguarded by the Holy Spirit? Martin knows well what scripture says, he is playing a game here and blaming it on God the Holy Spirit Himself:
"But even if we or an angel from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to what we proclaimed to you. let that one be accursed!"
It's hard to change the Catholic Church -- even if you're the Pope So some of the consternation is understandable. Some, however, is harder to understand. For if you're a devout Catholic who believes in the guidance of the Spirit, then you should also trust that the same Spirit is guiding Pope Francis and the synod. Sadly, in some corners that trust seems to have evaporated after the Pope's election, to be replaced with doubt, suspicion and anger. The Holy Spirit brings wisdom, He brings coolness, He brings refreshment. The continual resort to the Holy Spirit is blasphemy, He does not bring confusion. The spirit Martin writes of is not of God, it is from a different place. Again why? First, Catholics today often conflate dogma, doctrine and practice. In the most basic (and simplified) theological terms dogma refers to our core beliefs. For example, beliefs like the Resurrection: That's foundational. Doctrine encompasses the overall teachings of the church. For example, the teaching on birth control. A Jesuit mentioned "birth control?" Hell has frozen over and pigs can fly! Every doctrine is important, but not every doctrine is dogma. Finally, pastoral practice refers to how those doctrines are applied in real life. For example, how does a priest counsel a person who uses birth control? That it is a mortal sin and they must stop using artificial birth control and must conform their thinking to the mind of the Church as expressed in Casti conubbii and Humanae vitae and Familiaris Consortio. In the past few decades, we have seen these three categories collapsed together, at least in the popular Catholic imagination. It is as if every teaching is seen as dogma. And this has had disastrous effects. Because a change in one is seen as an attack on everything. In this view, changing the way that the church treats divorced and remarried Catholics is not simply an attack on pastoral practice, but on doctrine and perhaps even dogma. This is not to diminish important teachings, but rather to put them in their perspective. Traditionally, we believe in a "hierarchy of truths," in which some teachings are simply more important than others. Obviously, the Resurrection is more important than what your pastor says about a local political candidate. The collapse of these three categories, then, means that even the hint of change is a threat. Thus some of the anger. Second, change itself may be difficult for some Catholics because it threaten one's idea of a stable church. Yet the church has always changed. Not in its essentials, but in some important practices, as it responds to what Jesus called the "signs of the times." The Church, it seems in Martin's view, must take on the stench of the world. Nobody is rejecting the divorced and remarried, nobody is rejecting those who suffer with same-sex attraction. It is a lie to say they do. We don't want to treat them any differently but they cannot receive Holy Communion without Confession, penance and amendment of life. Just like me. They can come to Mass, sing in the choir perhaps, be a part of the community and be respected and loved. They cannot serve at the Altar, Ambo or be Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, period! What Martin and his ilk want is a complete destruction of three sacraments in some idea of false mercy - Matrimony, Penance and the Holy Eucharist. Think of the changes wrought by the Second Vatican Council: The church's relations with the Jewish people changed utterly. The translation of the Mass from the Latin into vernacular languages changed the way we worship. Both were immense changes -- and necessary changes. No Council needed to be called to change relations with our Jewish brethren, any Pope could have done that. His ignorance on liturgy, he is a Jesuit after all, and the Council is great. The language of the Mass was not to be changed completely but that is another debate and more than language changed along with it, the Rite itself was drastically altered, right Voxers? Third, a darker reason for the anger: a crushing sense of legalism of the kind that Jesus warned against. Sadly, I see this evident in our church, and it is ironic to find this in those who hew to the Gospels because this is one of the clearest things that Jesus opposed: "You load people with burdens hard to bear and you yourselves do not lift a finger to ease them!" he said in the Gospel of Luke. Here we go, We are the legalists. We are the Pharisees. The legalist and Pharisees wanted to burden people with the impossible. This is not what we are talking about. Holy Communion is the issue. Not kindness. Martin is twisting, he is engaging in polemics and manipulations. We have a Jewish senior's building in Toronto where the elevator stops at every floor on the Sabbath because pushing the button would break Sabbath laws. THAT is what Jesus was talking about when he said "loading people with burdens" such as two refrigerators in the kitchen as is done today!  As the Pope said in his closing remarks to the synod, the person who truly follows the doctrine is not the one who follows the letter of the law, but its spirit. The Pope is wrong. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments," the Law. He also said, "I have not come to destroy the Law but to fulfill it." Law keeps peace. Law keeps order. Law provides justice. What Martin wants is spiritual anarchy. Fourth, even darker reasons for the anger: a hatred of LGBT Catholics that masks itself as a concern for their souls, a desire to shut out divorced and remarried because they are "sinful" and should be shut out of the church's communion, and a self-righteousness and arrogance that closes one off to the need for mercy. Also, a mere dislike of change because it threatens the black-and-white worldview. I hate no man. I hate no one with same-sex attraction. That is not what this is about. Martin is a deceiver. He is a liar. This is about people in states of mortal sin committing another mortal sin of sacrilege. This is about leaving people in their sin of adultery and sodomy. Martin wants to leave them there, we want to call them out and to Christ. Who gave this man his first Holy Communion? But change began in the church almost as soon as the church began. St. Paul prevailed over St. Peter -- the "rock" upon which Jesus built his church -- over the question of whether the non-circumcised could be accepted into the faith. Without change early on, the church would have never moved beyond the Jewish community. St. Paul understood the need for change, even if it went against some cherished practices. Paul confronted the Pope and the Pope backed down because he was wrong. It will happen again. So did Jesus. He did not hesitate to bend or even set aside the rules if it meant applying more mercy. When he healed an infirm woman, painfully stooped over from arthritis or scoliosis, in the Gospel of Luke, on the Sabbath, he was critiqued for not following the rules. In response, he excoriates those who sought to lock him into unchanging legalisms: "Hypocrites!" They were hypocrites because they preached one thing and did another. Jesus told them "do as they say but not as they do." In other words. OBEY THE LAW but don't act as them. Who ordained this man? Fear of change holds the church back. And it does something worse. It removes love from the equation. In the past few weeks I have seen this fear lead to suspicion, mistrust and hate. And at the heart of this, I believe, is fear. As St. Paul said, perfect love drives out fear. But perfect fear drives out love.

Modernist heresiarch James Martin, S.J. already interpreting Synod Relatio where "conscience" not truth, is the guide

It has been said over and over again. Those of us who stand by the Church have today been called out by the Bishop of Rome himself because we are not the "true defenders of doctrine" because we uphold the "letter."

We are wrong because we do not uphold the "spirit."

No interest in "dialogue" from this Jesuit.

What follows is the first public scandal over the Synod document caused by a Catholic priest who has stated quite clearly for the world to see that through the "internal forum" the divorced and remarried can make the decision to receive the Holy Eucharist. This is the devolution of doctrine and it has been done by Francis the Bishop of Rome his gang of clericalist thugs, particularly the puffed up with pride and arrogant, Jesuits.

The apologists for Francis and those engaged in papolatry cannot deny it any longer.

The "spirit" of Francis's vision is already being implemented.

Welcome to Vatican III.
