Cardinal Müller: Papabile?

I hope it’s not too much to ask that Muller actually show that he holds Traditional, that is, true, Catholic beliefs. His writings on Transubstantiation are beyond lacking. They read like the intentionally unclear gobbledygook that we have had more than enough of, thank you very much. And that’s being kind, because to mislead on the Mass is treachery. Are we going to be like we were in the 90s when all a bishop had to do for conservative Catholics to fawn over him was to say something prolife every now and then? Criticizing the LGBTQ agenda is a classic example of going after low-hanging fruit. How about Truth, Tradition, clear and complete teaching on the very basics of faith? Is Muller pope material when you look at him from that angle, the only angle that matters? We shouldn’t hope for him to be pope unless we know the answer to that question.

Sharon, thanks for the dose of reality. Cardinal Muller has been a little fuzzy on the Resurrection as well.

Tradition is not an issue-based question.Tradition involves a complete, systematic ideology and understanding And yes, it is also an ideology of Christ The King of all Nations. Cardinal Mueller is a Vatican II man, and espouses the Religious and Morally pluralistic State. Something that got us into the troubles we have have today. Vigano would be a much better Pope. And a Pope does not have to be a Cardinal.

Broken clock ...

"Pope Francis has warned priests and nuns about the dangers of watching pornography online, saying it "weakens the priestly heart".

The Pope, 86, was responding to a question about how digital and social media should be best used, at a session in the Vatican.

Pornography, he said, was "a vice that so many people have... even priests and nuns".

"The devil enters from there," the Pope told priests and seminarians.

As to how to navigate social media and the digital world, he said that they should be used but told them not to waste too much time on it.

"The pure heart, the one that Jesus receives every day, cannot receive this pornographic information," he said.

He advised the group to "delete this from your phone, so you will not have temptation in hand".

Church teaching sees pornography as an offence against chastity."
