Father Tom Rosica is a spokesman for the Vatican. One would presume that someone in such an important and sensitive and influential position would be prudent with his personal opinions and the use of social media. It leaves one to ask an honest question; Is this his own opinion? Is it that of Father Lombardi's and the Office of Social Communication? Is it the Holy Father's?
In the post one below, I wrote that if one sends a "Re-Tweet" it would imply that one would agree with the original.
Cardinal Wuerl is interviewed by Andrea Tornielli in Vatican Insider. While Wuerl does not single out Cardinal Burke directly he does allude to "an interview" and "an article." It seems to have left no doubt in Tornielli; mind since he lead with a headline linking Cardinal Burke within "dissenters." This no doubt refers to a recent interview with Cardinal Burke where he stated that he would "resist" hypothetically an attempt by the pope to change the law on Holy Communion for the divorced and remarried without an annulment.
How disingenuous is it of Cardinal Wuerl to suggest that Cardinal Burke is a dissenter, which would include your writer and probably you as well. There was a time when the word meant someone that dissented from the truth of the faith. Now it seems to mean that it is someone who upholds it.
Father Rosica "Tweeted" the article with the headline "Cardinal Wuerl's response to Cardinal Burke (and dissenters)" and a link to the article. His followers cannot be faulted if they just read the headline and take up the believe that Cardinal Burke is one bad guy, after all, he is a "dissenter."
It seems to it is time for Father Lombardi to make a decision as to whether this Vatican employee needs to be either reigned in on social media or sent packing to preside over the winding down of Salt + Light.
Nota Bene: My colleague Barona at Toronto Catholic Witness and I are resolute. We will not fail in our countering of the assault on the faith and tradition that these men continue to undertake against Holy Mother Church and the Catholic faithful.
Make no mistake Wuerl, Marx, Madriaga, Kasper and Rosica, we will not rest.
Please pray for us.

The label "dissenter" is a very sly attempt to malign those who are resisting the neo-pagan ideology that is behind the Synod. Notice that people like Wuerl and Rosica just love to use the word "dissenter" when traditional people are the target.

I guess to Father Rosica and Cardinal Wuerl, St Paul when he rightfully rebuked St Peter, and St Bridget of Sweden and St Catherine of Sienna, the humble yet firm Saints that they were, who exhorted the Pope to do the right thing and return to Rome from Avignon, would be classified as dissenters.
Wuerl is simply a politician.
Wuerl is a despicable opportunist. A couple of years ago he removed one of his faithful priests from his position because the man refused the Eucharist to an openly and provocative lesbian. Instead of supporting him, Wuerl caved in to the liberal media that made a big thing of it, by removing this priest from his position.
Remember, Wuerl is the Cardinal who led the charge in the conclave to get Bergoglio elected Pope. You're right he's a "politician": without Wuerl's scheming and networking before and during (which some claim is actually against canon law and incurs excom), Bergoglio could never have been Pope.
Beware the Lavender Mafia!
Condolences for your receiving the threat of a lawsuit by Fr. Rosica...
Volpi now threatened today another blogger in Italy, Don Camillo...
Disheartening...
Fellow Fan blogger
Just got the news from churchmilitant.tv of the legal threat against you. Am praying for your deliverance, offering your intention in Holy Mass and the Rosary and standing in solidarity alongside you for the Faith so many saints have imitated Our Lord in dying for.
Brother keep fighting the good fight and exposing The Wolves that have invaded The City of God... Do not be intimidated by them... The Lord will be with you and the wicked shall perish...
Thank God for honest laymen who hold dishonest clergymen's feet to the fire. Fr. Rosica must be held accountable for his statements and actions. Thank you for your blog and don't flinch. Most of the time these threats are intimidation games. I've been threatened by the March of Dimes, an advertiser, and by an abortion mill. None ever went anywhere and I basically told them to go fly a kite. I suspect you will have many financial supporters if this threatened lawsuit materializes. God bless you!
I wonder if this threat to sue you is a bluff. I am not sure Fr. Rosica really wants that kind of publicity. Rosica acts like a bulldog. He likes to bully the little dog but I am not sure how far he will go when it would look bad on him. It would open up a can of worms he might not like.
I find no evidence in Tornelli's article that he actually interviewed Cardinal Wuerl. Rather he has quoted extensively and selectively from Cardinal Wuerl's blog trying to make it sound like he is accusing Cardinal Burke of being a dissenter.
Roscia is way over the top with his lawsuit.
It's very important that you let us know how we can help. Can we send money? Will you crowd source defence money? We will help you in any way we can. I'm in Canada too so I know that the courts will be stacked against you. LET US KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR YOU.

Dear David,
Thanks to the courageous reporting of Church Militant I saw your video exposing the heretical behavior infecting our beloved church. You are in good company with traditional Catholics like myself and many others who are identifying themselves as such every day. I thank you for having the fortitude to stand up to these pseudo-Catholics. We are a group of Catholics in New York who have come together to defend our religious liberty, to promote life, traditional marriage and family and to uphold the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church.

If anyone has a legitimate claim to slander, it would be Cardinal Burke in regard to Fr Rosica and others' false smearing of his faithfulness to the Church and to God.
Thank you for taking a stand for what you believe in, the catholic faith. From another family man in Toronto
