A Message from Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB

Well now, it seems that the whole blog at Salt + Light Television has been wiped off the web page. Can this be anything else but an admission that it is likely full of plagiarism?

One of the items eliminated was Thomas J. Rosica's "Message" wherein he stated that he had no intention of suing this writer.

Thanks to Internet archives, I post it here below, for permanent record. A blatant misrepresentation of the facts.  He had every damn intention of suing me.

And the proof is in his Fogler, Rubinoff LLB pro-bono lawyer, Nina Perfetto's letter
"We reserve the right to commence litigation against you regardless of any apology or retraction but assure you that in the absence of an apology or retraction, the damages claimed will be significantly higher."
The letter clearly said that even if I had complied, they reserved the right to sue, regardless.

There are words for men such as this.

A Message from Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB

From today’s first reading at Mass
Jeremiah 18:18-20
The people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem said,“Come, let us contrive a plot against Jeremiah. It will not mean the loss of instruction from the priests, nor of counsel from the wise, nor of messages from the prophets. And so, let us destroy him by his own tongue;let us carefully note his every word.”
Heed me, O LORD,
and listen to what my adversaries say.
Must good be repaid with evil
that they should dig a pit to take my life?
Remember that I stood before you
to speak in their behalf,
to turn away your wrath from them.
As the CEO of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation and Television Network, I am not a high-ranking Vatican official nor a member of the hierarchy of the Church as erroneously claimed in several recent blogs.  In addition to my work at Salt and Light, I have had the privilege of serving since 2013 in a volunteer capacity as English language assistant to the Holy See Press Office.  I relate on a daily basis to hundreds of English language journalists around the world.  I know that this daily service has been encouraged and appreciated by the Vatican and by hundreds of journalists all over the world.
I fully support the teaching of the Church and welcome Pope Francis’ invitation to the whole Church to reflect seriously on the foundations of our faith. The recent Extraordinary Synod of Bishops has invited us to mature, honest dialogue and conversation and to find new ways and a new language to communicate the ancient story of the Church and our beautiful, unchanging doctrine to future generations.
Mature expressions of differences are welcome.  It is one thing to have differing opinions on church matters. However, there is fine line between difference of opinion and blatant destruction of person’s lives and reputations. Having been strongly advised to respond, as an individual and in no institutional capacity to the Vatican or to my place of work, to the continuous false, slanderous statements of a blogger over a long period of time that resulted in gross distortion, misinformation, many phone calls, letters and clear threats from callers based on the repeated false information contained in the blog, it was never my intention to sue, but rather to issue a letter to “cease and desist” the frivolous calumny. A legal firm, offering its service pro bono to us, issued a letter to cease and desist. No lawsuit was ever launched against the blogger! The matter is now closed.
Popes Benedict XVI and Francis have taught clearly that the Internet and blogs can be of tremendous service to the up-building of the Church and of humanity. They have never taught that blogs and social media should be used, in the name of fidelity, to engender slander, hatred, reviling and destroying.
In a world torn apart by hatred, terror and violence, often through the gross distortion of religion, we must be much more attentive to our use of social media and how it is used to unite rather than destroy humanity. Many in the Catholic blogosphere have contributed enormously to the spread of the faith, the defense of all that is good and beautiful about our faith and our Church, and the opening of dialogue among strangers. They are to be congratulated and encouraged. Others have chosen to turn the blogosphere into a black hole of vitriol, anger and profound sadness. As Catholics, the great privilege and freedom of expression and access to social media also have certain obligations of decency, integrity, honesty and charity that reveal who we really are as a faith community.

Tom Rosica "threatened" the Catholic University President - First signs of plagiarism now date back to 1985!

It was not long ago that Dr. David Mulroney was ousted as President of St. Michael's University in Toronto. He was believed to have been the choice of the Chancellor, Thomas Cardinal Collins. It was also the conclusion that his ouster was engineered.

Now, we have the proof.

And yes, I am vindicated.

Plagiarist Fr. Rosica threatened me during reforms at Catholic university, former pres. reveals
“Although a number of university presidents and folks from U.S. universities came up and said that the talk really resonated...Fr. Rosica was furious,” Mulroney recalled.
“He upbraided me and said that I had insulted the Basilian Fathers because I hadn’t thanked them and given them credit.”
Mulroney told Rosica that it wasn’t the kind of speech where he thought he could give them credit, as he was talking about problems and he wanted to stay on topic.
“While I was leaving, he said ‘There will be repercussions’,” Mulroney said.
There followed six weeks in which the president was “summoned” before different members of Collegium and, in Mulroney’s words, “really put through the wringer for having spoken like this.”

And if that is not enough to ruin Tom's evening. It seems his plagiarist ways now have been found out as far back as 1985.

Good grief. What's next, High School?

Not only is the man a bully. He's a total fraud.

Rosica's plagiarism in his books at Novalis stated as "clean" is questioned by Professor

On Friday, LifeSiteNews reported that Joseph Sinasac, of Novalis, Tom Rosica's publisher, was "alarmed and dismayed" over the cases of plagiarism. Sinasac reported that all was well, that the books, were "very clean."

Joshua Hochschild a professor at Mount St. Mary's University uncovered examples of Rosica's plagiarist actions. On March 3 on Twitter, Dr. Hochschild asks if Novalis can confirm that Rosica's book, Seven Last words, "does not contain, or at least documents, these ~20 sentences from a 1994 source (in addition to the other five instances I found?"

Sinasac relied on plagiarism detecting software which Hocshchild calls a "weak tool." He continues that "Publishers who suspect an author plagiarized should give work extra careful scrutiny: actual reading and careful search, not a quick software check."

The question is this:

Was Tom Rosica fully honest and transparent with Joseph Sinasac?

Has Novelis been deceived?

Paganism, not Christ. This is the Bergoglian theme for this Lord's Day

Today is Quinquegesima. Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. It is the Lord's Day.

Look at Bergoglio's Tweet for today.

Nothing about Jesus Christ. Nothing about Lent.

The man is evil.

Prove me wrong.

How the Bishops appointed by "Saints" treated the simple Catholic wanting a Latin Mass

Here is a gem from sodomite pervert Rembert Weakland who was outed on Good Morning America by his rent-boy lover who was mad because Rembertus Georgius did not embezzell enough for him from the people of Milwaukee. It was posted on Twitter by @CCityCatholic because this writer always attributes.

There were many who were miscreants in this matter.

Some of these rats became Cardinals.

On Cardinal Pell

As is known, George Cardinal Pell was found guilty in an Australian court and is in prison, with bail denied, awaiting his sentencing, an appeal has been announced.

This was a controversial case. I find it incredulous, unbelievable that any bishop could assault an altar boy in the sacristy after Mass. The bishop would be the first to leave, there would be all kinds of people around. It does seem odd. The evidence seems to be scant. One alleged witness or victim is dead and denied ever being assaulted.

It all seems a set-up.

Unless, it isn't.

People are proclaiming his innocence and describing the Australian justice system as "Kangaroo" Courts, if you'll pardon the expression. Some opine that it was a Bergoglian set-up because he was getting too close to financial corruption and the Australian Left and sodomite union was happy to do it.

I have no doubt that Bergoglio is capable of anything, absolutely anything. But on this band-wagon for or against him, I am not jumping on.

A reader has asked me to post this link and I shall.

There is this.

My question is this. Are we engaged in denial and wishful thinking because Cardinal Pell is a conservative, whatever that may be in the present day church crisis?

What if it is true?

Americans, wake up!

Note friends; we in Canada must wake up too. However, we need you. As goes America, goes the world.

Our fun has begun.

Justin Trudeau and his advisers attempted to influence the Attorney General to influence court proceedings in a corruption case against SNC Lavalin of Montreal. My preference is for Justin to fight it out, then we, the people, can bury him in October.

Rosica reportedly "lied" to the producers of "Bella." Was it an attempt to sink the movie?

Bella was a delightful film.

John Zmirak writes at The Stream about an incident relating to Rosica, Salt + Light and the producers of Bella and the Toronto International Film Festival.

"We were driving to his studios when I got a phone call out of the blue. On the line was a 20-something employee at Salt and Light. She was crying. She told us that Father Rosica’s motives weren’t pure. That he didn’t like us or our film, and he intended to air our interview that very week. That would have been during the Festival, which then we’d be sure to lose.
I got off the phone, kind of skeptical. Would a priest really do something like that? Would a journalist break an embargo he’d promised to respect? I talked the question over with the other producers. At last we agreed. To be on the safe side, we would cancel the interview.
We turned the car around and I called Father Rosica. I told him that our schedule wouldn’t permit an interview after all.
He got violently angry, and shouted that he’d been counting on the interview to fill air time that same week. We’d left a hole in his broadcast schedule.
I was taken aback. I said, “Father, you promised us this interview wouldn’t air until after the Festival. That’s why we agreed to do it.”
Rosica got silent. He said something condescending and hung up the phone.
I guess we were foolish to trust someone, just because he wore a Roman collar.
Rosica did want to politicize the film, in a way we’d warned him would sink it. And he was willing to lie in order to do that. His motives? I won’t speculate on those."

Just one more example of the character of this deceitful man. A man who put my wife and I under great distress. A man who on no less than two occasions tried to undermine my employment.

A most repugnant man.
