On the talks and alleged "prophecies" of priest Michel Rodrigue

Do not give in to each of these alleged prophets. We have our bible, our missals and our rosaries. We already know that which we need to know!

Update: The site where this man's alleged prophecies are promoted has a statement that Bishop Lemay has no authority since Rodrique is no longer in Amos and is actually incardinated in the Diocese of Hearst-Moosonee.  There is no statement on the web page.

Again, in these times, it is too easy for one to claim prophetic and gnostic powers. We have what we need.

As for "refuges" the refuge is the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart right where we are.

Hello,

The main promoter of Fr. Rodrigue’s messages is the Countdown to the Kingdom website. And in response to Bishop Lemay’s latest letter, Dan O’Connor at the Countdown to the Kingdom says Bishop Lemay is no longer Fr. Rodrigue’s Bishop and his letter can be ignored as Fr. Rodrigue has moved to another Diocese. Therefore Bishop Lemay no longer has jurisdiction over this matter.

I recently came across a YouTube recording of this priest addressing a congregation in Knock, Ireland. He actually had to ask someone at his side where was this place - his excuse for not knowing was that he travelled around so much, but actually he came over as another Biden. Such preachers should be closely monitored. They have nothing new to add to what we already know & spew out the same spiel in each place they visit. I wonder who pays their travel & accommodation bills?

A few of his followers visited one of his refuges they were not impressed. https://fromrome.info/2020/07/21/who-is-father-michel-rodrigue/?unapproved=8905&moderation-hash=30c8e501a3c744fce04122430b1320f6#comment-8905

Never seen a priest telling people to prepare for impending doom, amidst loud bursts of laughter, and jokes sbout Jesus. Deeply dusturbing.

The Diocese of Hearst-Moosonee has also disavowed Rodrigue.

The Bishop did not condemn the messages but only said he doesn’t personally believe them. Nor did the Bishop instruct the faithful not to read or believe the messages. So I’m not sure what to make of this.

Prophets belongs only to God! They have to speak out, even - if people, bishops and also pope do not like it. Today's bishops are for abortion, homosexuals and even giving sacramental blessing to gay marriage... and you want to give them the power of DISCERNMENT??? !!! today even if Fatima will happen - those bishops would reject it - no doubts!!! I would prefer 1000 Fathers Rodriuges, Maria Divine Mercy, Vassula Ryden, Christina Ghallager, PEdro Regis and many many more, than our today's bishops!!! SHAME OF THEM FOR BETRAYING CHRIST!!! Our prophets speaks all what we here in the Bible, our Bishops speaks modern language of liberal agendas... Fatima, La Sallete, Garabandal are saying that the rotten betrayal will come from the heart of the church - now, these days I can really believe that. I see that!!! GOD BLESS FATHER RODRIGUE AND ALL GOD'S PROPHETS!!!

And what do we learn by running after these alleged seers and prophets?

Do we learn that the rot and filth in the Church will begin within and at the top? Read the Catechism.

I could go on. They tell us nothing new. They use this for money and that most certainly includes Mark Mallett, this priest and MDM!

I'm a skeptic of bishops today, and do not know who this priest is, but this bishop sounds sincere, and he is directing the faithful to Scripture and Our Lady, a far more secure refuge than any one man or priest. It is so easy to be taken in today, our world is frightening, but let's all cling to Jesus Christ and as Vox said here, our rosary, Missal, and bible. These are our refuge. Even Jesus said He did not know the hour, but only the Father.
Prepare in a modest way for the unexpected. This is always a good idea. But I'd listen to the bishop in this case.

If it walks like a duck ad quacks like a duck, it's a duck. Rodrigue is a phony.

Dear Vox, thank you for your reply. I just have few questions related to this:

1. Why a present-day Church is SO AFRAID of the latest prophets, so even lack of any respect or even contempt is shown to them?

2. Why Bible clearly states: "Do not quench Spirit of Prophecy"?

3. Why Jesus prophesied many times during His Holy Life - and even on the Cross?

4. Why the Old Testament and New Testament are based on the PROPHECIES??? (I never check this, but I think that prophecies are on each page thru the whole Bible!

Now, I tell you of what is my personal experience with many priests, bishops and highly educated theologians (most of them) today in regards to the prophecies. They HATE THEM! Why? Because they are not able to shine, there are too many questions, these are shaky grounds for them, their ego and their education is proven often DUST in comparison, so... why they have to bother with checking if they come from HOLY SPIRIT or NOT... It is better to throw them all to the garbage and steal a spotlight from Christ to their own self!!!

And also - how come you can judge people like MDM or others that they doing this for $$$ ? Are you 100% sure? Did you see their hearts? I can only tell you that in the case of MDM you - and many bloggers - are very mistaken. As Christ told us - HE IS THE ONLY JUDGE OF HEARTS, NOT US! We, Catholics judge constantly others... I am guilty of the same sin, however, you bloggers better take extra responsibility for your written words, because one day you also will be judged for every word you have ever written...

I find Father R's homilies and explication of Christ's teachings fruitful. I read all 17 of his retreats. I do not believe his predictions, however, which include the assassination of both Pope Francis and Pope Benedict. I do give him credit for making such brazen, unambiguous predictions.

I will be willing to admit that I was wrong about his prophecies if just one of the two Popes get assassinated.
