Father William R. Lugger, Pastor at St. Casimir in Lansing has lost his head!

BREAKING NEWS:
CATHOLIC PRIEST WAKES UP WITH VAGINAL YEAST INFECTION ON HIS HEAD!

LANSING, MI. - In a bizarre medical rarity, a Catholic priest woke up Sunday with his head covered in a yeast infection. Usually known to afflict the, ahem; private parts of some women, the itching and burning infection caused a serious discharge to spew from the mouth of Father William R. (Bill) Luggar.

"Father" William R. Lugger, is the Pastor of St. Casimir's, an allegedly Catholic Church in Lansing, Michigan.

In an exclusive interview with Vox Cantoris, Father Lugger said, "I don't know what happened; Sister Donna Quinn of Nuns for Choice, sent me a new biretta and I wanted to wear it at Mass; I thought it was a little queer, but figured that Pope Francis changed the style or something, and when I put it on, my head began to itch and burn."

When told that the hat was a "p***y-hat" Father asked, "Why would anyone wear a cat hat on their head?"

Following an examination earlier today, it was determined that the cause of Father's affliction was a profound lack of supernatural faith associated with the "synthesis of all heresies," known as Modernism, combined with a serious case of Personalism due to an acute propensity for liturgical abuse, moral relativism and a "hermeneutic of discontinuity and rupture."

Further investigation revealed that the condition also affect the part of the brain associated with obedience, tradition and the culture of all things Catholic. It causes one to dispel the notion of penance resulting in eating fried bologna sandwiches on Fridays.

Of course, given the Inauguration of Donald John Trump as the 45th President of the United States, Vox is certain that Father Lugger confused himself and that while a great day, it was not a Solemnity, thus the Friday fast was not excused.

Daniel Horan, OFM - Another wolf in a cassock

Daniel Horan, OFM, is a Catholic priest and a "theologian" and author and is currently visiting assistant professor of systematic theology at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He also promotes himself as a speaker and engages it as a lucrative business as can be seen from his web page. Trust me, these priests do not travel for free, they have goodly fee on top of all expenses. I am sure his Order appreciates the riches he brings in.

Horan is a manipulator as the Tweet above shows. Emulating James Martin, S.J., is not something one should take pride in. Horan is trying to twist and weave around the justified criticism of Catholics to his obsessive Tweeting on the Marxist and anarchist march of women. He cavorts with groups that want to murder babies but then hides behind social justice.

For an example of Horan's writings, I urge you to visit Barona at Witness:

We've featured this malefactor before. He used a photo of two sodomites holding hands to describe the "Joy of Love" also known as, Amoris Laetitia. I wonder what Horan is trying to tell us?

The man is a disgrace to the priesthood. He is deceiving those students in Chicago and those who pay to hear him on his tours. He takes a position that is antithetical to Catholicism by joining forces with those who would destroy the Church, given the chance.

Horan had a busy day on Saturday, He was out promoting the demonstrations and Tweeting about.. He spent a good part of the day condemning and then blocking Catholics who dared question the prudence of his decision to participate in such a march that holds such principles as:

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
We believe in Reproductive Freedom. We do not accept any federal, state or local rollbacks, cuts or restrictions on our ability to access quality reproductive healthcare services, birth control, HIV/AIDS care and prevention, or medically accurate sexuality education. This means open access to safe, legal, affordable abortion and birth control for all people, regardless of income, location or education.

LGBTQIA RIGHTS
We firmly declare that LGBTQIA Rights are Human Rights and that it is our obligation to uplift, expand and protect the rights of our gay, lesbian, bi, queer, trans or gender non-conforming brothers, sisters and siblings. We must have the power to control our bodies and be free from gender norms, expectations and stereotypes.

Horan opined that he was taking abuse, and "imagine what it's like for Pope Francis." In his charity, he referred to Catholics as "trolls" and "demons."

Well, Horan is a liar. Whilst I will criticise the Bishop of Rome on many things, he has spoken against abortion and genderism (though he has embraced abortion activists and "transvestites.")

This is what this pathetic, effeminate, devil in priests' clothing, Daniel Horan has allied himself with!
Image may contain: 1 person, standing

Horan is another deceitful priest, a deceiver and false teacher, preaching "another Gospel" and a different Christ. A man hiding behind his habit and undermining the faith. Where are his superiors?

These "men" need to be held accountable for what they do in public. For their lies and their betrayal of the Truth of Christ and His Church. It is not enough to hide behind "social justice." as an excuse for partnering with those who advocate the murder of children. If Horan's Superior is too much of a sell-out effete to hold him accountable then it is up to the laity to do it.

Horan is what V.I. Lenin called a "useful idiot."

He is all that, and more.

Saint Paul the Apostle of the Gentiles - a "rigid Doctor of the Law," the Law of Jesus Christ!

Today is the Third Sunday after Epiphany and in the modernist rite, the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time. Truly, could they not have kept the true and proper name for this period?

St. Paul is damning today in his denouncement of our modernist churchmen and he does this in the texts of the both liturgies.

First, let us look at the Reading I, II & III of Matins, which I have combined here to one.

Image result for st paul galatians

It is from his Letter to the Galatians 1 - 14, wherein he blames the Galatians themselves to be imposed upon by new teachers.

Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead, And all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia. Grace be to you, and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom is glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I wonder that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ, unto another gospel. Which is not another, only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
For I give you to understand, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For neither did I receive it of man, nor did I learn it; but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion: how that, beyond measure, I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it. And I made progress in the Jews' religion above many of my equals in my own nation, being more abundantly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

Saint Paul makes it quite clear that there can be no other Gospel, no other teachings from what he and the Apostles have taught. When the Lord Jesus said, “adultery” is a sin, it is. Those who tried to trick him were the “doctors of the law.” Yet today, we see the Pope himself condemning Catholics as “doctors of the law” for following what Jesus taught and expects of us to believe and preach. St. Paul warns us of those who would dare to change doctrine and preach “another Gospel.” He goes as far as to declare them “anathema.” This Jewish Apostle to the Gentiles even goes on to the “Jews’ religion” and how that it is clearly another religion, not the religion of Christ and therefore, one which can now only conclude is no longer a true religion since Christ is “all in all,” as he tells us in Colossians 3:11.

If that is not enough to convince one that our churchmen have gone astray, let us now look at what most Catholics at Mass today heard in the Second Reading from 1 Corinthians 1:10-13,17 (I have included 14-16) in italics.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you; but that you be perfect in the same mind, and in the same judgment.

For it hath been signified unto me, my brethren, of you, by them that are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I am of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? Was Paul then crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? I give God thanks, that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Caius; Lest any should say that you were baptized in my name. I give God thanks, that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Caius; Lest any should say that you were baptized in my name. And I baptized also the household of Stephanus; besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of speech, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

Catholic people, brothers and sisters, wake up!

We are being deceived by leaders in the Church, from Friars Minor who march in parades with anarchists (more on that tomorrow) to bishops on the island where Paul landed. From dioceses in remote Columbia where priests are persecuted for the truth to Rome itself, where the Supreme Pontiff denigrates a good man of patriotic love with that of Adoph Hitler. These men, from Daniel Horan to Jorge Bergoglio have failed to preach the Gospel. They have burnt incense before idols, they preach a gospel “according to men.”

We must pray for wisdom. We must open up the Divine Office, or at least the Liturgy of the Hours to read what the Church really prays, what those great Fathers have written to us. We must get to Confession and to Mass. Find a traditional Latin Mass, make it your life. If you cannot, then find the most faithful priest and reverent new rite Mass that you can. Leave liturgical abuse, leave the lies that these people proffer and get back to the Truth!

Twas the Night before Inauguration

Twas the night before Inauguration, and up in the tower,
The Donald reflected on his newfound power.
The conservative masses had come out in force,
And delivered a victory that would chart a new course.

The snowflakes were shell-shocked with tears in their eyes,
The media lied to them . . . What a surprise.
They had been promised a Hillary win,
But the criminal Clinton took one on the chin.

And though from all corners celebrities flew,
They made no impression, for they hadn’t a clue.
They talked about climate, racism, and such,
And they made up good stories . . . But didn’t know much.
The fake news and ignorance came at a cost,
And they can’t understand all the reasons they lost.
They blame it on Comey and Bernie and Vlad,
But fail to acknowledge the one that was bad.

Yes, Hillary Clinton, in many ways flawed,
Was her own biggest hurdle toward getting the nod.
The campaign exposed her corruptness and greed,
And her speeches were punch-less as ten dollar weed.

So out in the streets there arose such a clatter,
It was Soros-paid protestors and Black Lives Matter.
With cities to pillage and windows to smash,
They knew not the issues, but needed the cash.

Eight years of Obama had given them cause,
To expect a replacement of their Santa Claus.
But soon the protestors will feel the pain,
When the wheels fall off of the old gravy train.

And now all the snowflakes are riddled with fear,
Upset and offended by things that they’ll hear.
The cocoa and crayons will help for a while,
But fact-based opinions will soon cramp their style.

I originally supported, and voted, for Cruz,
In the end, I would vote for whoever they choose.
He wasn’t my first choice, but soon I would cede,
The one they call Trump is the one that we need.

I saw him on TV in front of a crowd,
He spoke about veterans, it made me feel proud.
He spoke about energy, safety, and jobs,
Taking this country back from the Washington snobs.

He was dressed in Armani, all tailored and neat,
And the Brunos he wore made the outfit complete.
For a man of his vintage, he seemed rather fit,
And he looked presidential, I have to admit.

His eyes glowed like embers, his smile was the best,
And his hair was the color of my old hunting vest.
His love for this country was on full display,
And his actions spoke louder than his words could say.

He thanked all his voters, and before he was gone,
Saved thousands of jobs while Obama looked on.
The fate of this country left nothing to chance,
So, he filled out his cabinet weeks in advance.

The men he had chosen were of the same mind,
Let’s set the bar high, and not lead from behind.
He picked up his phone as he rose from his seat,
With a flick of his finger, he sent out this tweet:

“Now Mattis!, now Kelly!’ now Sessions! And Pruitt!
On Perry! On Flynn, You’re the ones who can do it.
Start lifting restrictions and building the wall,
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

The roar of his audience rose from the stands,
He kissed all their babies and shook all their hands.
He answered their questions and calmed all their fears,
They knew it would be a fantastic four years.

Then he jumped in his limo, and off to his jet,
A fellow that Liberals won’t soon forget.
He sent one more tweet as the evening expired;
“Happy Inauguration to all,
AND OBAMA – YOU’RE FIRED!”

The Pope of insults; Bergoglio lets it rip, but just who is it that he railing against? Is this psychological projection?

Good grief, three blogs posts and I'm still on my first Sabbath coffee!

What a week, eh?

The bishops of Malta apostasies and are uncorrected by the Bergoglio and then they demand that priests follow them into Hell at the pain of suspension.

The wonderful Father Philips of Our Lady of the Atonement in San Antonio is aggressively removed by his bishop.

A priest in Columbia is suspended for refusing to go along with the Bergoglian heresy.

The Bishop of Rockford violates the Law on Summorum Pontificum and demands obedience to it by his priests.

And the Bergoglio continues with his barrage of insults against Catholics who follow the faith.

How many revisions does the Pope Francis Little Book of Insults need?

From LifeSiteNews:

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pope-calls-out-parked-christians-for-being-unwilling-to-change

ROME, Italy, January 20, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis continued his veiled criticism of Catholics opposed to "new horizons" in his homily Tuesday morning, labeling them "parked Christians." He continued with this theme as he has throughout his pontificate, speaking in this morning's homily of the "egotistical mentality" of the "doctors of the law" who "constantly condemn" others.
Francis said Christians should be open to change, saying they cannot “park” and be “lazy” when faced with adversity or remain in their “refrigerator.” For some, he added, life is “living in the fridge, just like that, so that everything remains the same.”
Francis specifically mentioned “lazy Christians, Christians, who do not have the will to continue, Christians, who do not struggle for a change of things, for new things to come, those that if changed would be a good for everybody.” Specifying about whom he was speaking, Francis added, "when I say Christians I mean all: lay, priests, bishops, all of them.”
In his homily at Casa Santa Marta this morning, the Pope said, "Consider the doctors of the law who persecuted Jesus. These men did everything prescribed by the law. But their mindset was distanced from God. Theirs was an egotistical mindset, focused on themselves: their hearts constantly condemned [others]."
The frequency with which Pope Francis has verbally reproached those not aligned with his progressive agenda within the Church has seen a marked increase in recent months. Only ten days ago he lashed out at "doctors of the law” who he said were incoherent, hypocritical, clericalist, and lacking in real authority.

Is the Bergoglian Bishop of Bologna, Matteo Maria Zuppi, the latest episcopal sodomite?

Matteo Maria Zuppi, appointed to this important See by Bergoglio.

Is there a man left in Bologna who would defend Christ?

Apostate Bishops of the Gay priest playground in Malta, Charles Scicluna and Mario Grech travel together to Rome - LGBTQ in Malta praise them!

Did you know that Malta is a sodomite priest playground?

Oh, you didn't?

Well, you do now!

My priest contacts who have confirmed this, have told me that they will not travel there, unless it is on official Church business; and any priest that does go there on vacation, is suspected.

The sodomites, lesbians, and queers of Malta are quite happy with Charles and Mario.
“In issuing these guidelines, the Maltese Bishops have shown admirable pastoral care. While building on the results of the Synod on the Family and on the teachings of Pope Francis, in continuity with the teachings of preceding popes, the language used by the Maltese Bishops as well as the way in which such complex situations are addressed feel fresh and new, and they truly show that the Church is a Mother who teaches and loves all her children, whoever and wherever they may be,” the group said.
According to Edward Pentin, the two travelled to Rome this week. One would like to think that they were hauled in before the Prefect of the Doctrine of the Faith and then before the Pope and were stripped of their bishoprics.

Ha, not likely!

Rather they were celebrated by the filthy sodomitical scum in clerics that have infiltrated the highest levels of the Church.

Bishop Mario Grech denies threatening his priests. We'll see how true that is!

It has been alleged that Bishop Mario Grech of the Diocese of Gozo in Malta has threatened his priests with suspension if they do not follow his immoral, heretical and sacrilegious attack on the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Penance and Matrimony by allowing people to determine, their own, "peace with God."

Today, Bishop Grech has denied it on Facebook. Not good enough.

Let Grech issue a formal statement in writing and on his web page.

More importantly, why should we believe him? If he is corrupt enough to have been party to the immorality and disgrace of the recent designs on the interpretation of Amoris Laetitia, why should we believe him in this?

The man has already proved to have a darkened intellect and corrupt faith, he is probably a liar as well.

He certainly believes in the Bergoglian "god of surprises."

The Holy Spirit does not change.

Bergoglio's "god of surprises," is the Devil.

Ron Rolheiser, OMI - Peddles a false Catholicism for his false religion of Feelgoodism

Image result for ron rolheiserA few days ago, Ron Rolheiser's weekly column appeared again in Toronto's Catholic Register, a media outlet owned by the Archdiocese of Toronto.

I'm all for freedom of the press which means that the State cannot interfere with a free press. The Catholic Register, however, has no business continuing to publish those things which fall outside of Catholic orthodoxy. It's Editors have once again failed the Catholics of Canada, as it is read nationally, and the Cardinal Archbishop who owns the paper as a Corporation Sole.

We've had Ron grace Vox previously

He has OMI after his name, however, since he refuses to wear his collar, we'll refuse to call him by his proper title. When he goes low, we go low too.

Rolheiser's work also appears on his own webpage and reportedly, other Catholic news outlets. The Editor at the Register titled the article in question here, "Who are we to judge what is a sin." On Ron's page, he titles it, Orthodoxy, Sin and Heresy.

Let us first acknowledge the Catholic Register's foolish choice of title, let us not blame that on Ron, but on the Editor of the Catholic Register.

"Who are we to judge what is a sin?" Asks the Register?

We are Catholics, that is who we are and being Catholics we have every right, duty and obligation to judge what is and is not a sin ,and to govern our lives accordingly.

We cannot judge an individual person's soul but we can certainly judge what is a sin and what isn't a sin.  This is a cute little play on the words of Pope Francis, eh? "Who are we to judge?" Murder is a sin and abortion is murder. Stealing is a sin. Fornication, masturbation, watching pornography, sodomy, homosexual and lesbian behavior and its cultural fascism is a sin. Contraceptive chemicals and prophylactics are a sin. Suicide is a sin, as is aiding and abetting it under the doctor-assisted death. It is suicide for the individual and murder for those who did it. it is mortal sin. Mortal sins at that and one mortal sin can put a person in Hell. That is Catholic teaching, always was and always will be.

Ron explains how he entered a Cathedral for "Sunday Eucharist." Clearly, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is not a term that Ron's "theology" acknowledges. Ron continues then to berate the homily of the priest offering the Holy Mass, clearly a Catholic priest; he mocks him and what he told the people. Well, if it is good enough for Ron to pick apart that priest's homily, then it is good for us to pick apart, Ron's error.

"The priest used the Gospel text where Jesus says “I am the vine and you are the branches” to tell the congregation that what Jesus is teaching here is that the Roman Catholic Church constitutes what is referred to as the branches and the way we link to those branches is through the Mass and if we miss Mass on a Sunday we are committing a mortal sin and should we die in that state we will go to hell.
Then, aware that what he was saying would be unpopular, he protested that the truth is often unpopular, but that what he just said is orthodox Catholic teaching and that anyone denying this is in heresy. It’s sad that this kind of thing is still being said in our churches."

Not enough for Ron to decry the traditional and true teaching, he then continues by actually undermining the Truth and misleading all by what he writes:
"Does the Catholic Church really teach that missing Mass is a mortal sin and that if you die in that state you will go to hell? No, that’s not Catholic orthodoxy, though popular preaching and catechesis often suppose that it is, even as neither accepts the full consequences."
The Catechism of the Catholic Church makes it quite clear in Part III, Life in Christ, Section II, The Ten Commandments, Chapter I, "You shall love the Lord your God, ..."

You can read the whole section at the link, but here is the summary, (of course, you already know this.)

2181 The Sunday Eucharist is the foundation and confirmation of all Christian practice. For this reason the faithful are obliged to participate in the Eucharist on days of obligation, unless excused for a serious reason (for example, illness, the care of infants) or dispensed by their own pastor. Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave sin.
2189 "Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy" (Deut 5:12). "The seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord" (Ex 31:15).
2190 The sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced by Sunday which recalls the new creation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ.
2191 The Church celebrates the day of Christ's Resurrection on the "eighth day," Sunday, which is rightly called the Lord's Day (cf. SC 106).
2192 "Sunday . . . is to be observed as the foremost holy day of obligation in the universal Church" (CIC, can. 1246 § 1). "On Sundays and other holy days of obligation the faithful are bound to participate in the Mass" (CIC, can. 1247).
2193 "On Sundays and other holy days of obligation the faithful are bound . . . to abstain from those labors and business concerns which impede the worship to be rendered to God, the joy which is proper to the Lord's Day, or the proper relaxation of mind and body" (CIC, can. 1247).
2194 The institution of Sunday helps all "to be allowed sufficient rest and leisure to cultivate their familial, cultural, social, and religious lives" (GS 67 § 3).
2195 Every Christian should avoid making unnecessary demands on others that would hinder them from observing the Lord's Day.

Shall we send Ron a Catechism? What is it that he does not get about, "Those who deliberately fail in this obligation commit a grave sin?"

Rolheiser deliberately contradicts the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

1033 “...To die in mortal sin without repenting and accepting God’s merciful love means remaining separated from him for ever by our own free choice.  This state of definitive self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed is called ‘hell’.”
1874 “...This destroys in us the charity without which eternal beatitude is impossible.  Unrepented, it brings eternal death.”
1035 “...Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell.…”

The rest of the article gets worse, particularly as he refers to a Catholic who died in an accident:

"Some years ago, I presided at the funeral of a young man, in his 20s, who had been killed in a car accident. In the months before his death he had for all practical purposes ceased practising his Catholicism. He had stopped going to church, was living with his girlfriend outside of marriage, and had not been sober when he died.
However, his family and the congregation who surrounded him at his burial knew him, and they knew that despite his ecclesial and moral carelessness he had a good heart, that he brought sunshine into a room and that he was a generous young man.
At the reception after the funeral, one of his aunts, who believed that missing Mass was a mortal sin that could condemn you to hell, approached me and said: “He had such a great heart and such a wonderful energy; if I were running the gates of Heaven, I would let him in.”"

The Prophet Ezekiel tells us what God thinks:

If the just man turn himself away from his justice and do iniquity … all his justices which he hath done shall not be remembered. (Ezekiel 18:20)

Sorry Auntie, you don't write the rules of heaven.

Readers here know what mortal sin is; but what about the Feelgoodism religion that Ron is preaching? What about this culpability?

Three conditions are necessary for mortal sin to exist: Grave Matter: The act itself is intrinsically evil and immoral. For example, murder, rape, incest, perjury, adultery, and so on are grave matter. Full Knowledge: The person must know that what they're doing or planning to do is evil and immoral.

Who is excused from that statement? The truly insane, perhaps.

It is impossible to believe that a Catholic does not know that they must attend Mass on Sunday. Even with the bad catechesis from men such as Rolheiser, can we truly believe that people do not know that it is a sin? Perhaps though, Ron is right. Perhaps they don't. We've just come through the Christmas season when people suddenly remembered to attend Mass. Not out of love for Christ. Not out of the Truth, but out of sentimentalism. A sentimentalist and relativist mindset.

So, if Ron is correct; and most Catholics who die today are really not responsible for anything and will all be forgiven by God, because we're just so good nice; if this were remotely true, whose fault is it?

What responsibility does Ron Rolheiser, OMI, have for the fact that Catholics do not know what is and what is not a mortal sin? Do they know any more after reading his heterodox diatribe?

God said something else through the Prophet Ezekiel before that verse above that Ron, and many other clerics and all of us might consider heading:

16 And at the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman to the house of Israel: and thou shalt hear the word out of my mouth, and shalt tell it them from me.
18 If, when I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die: thou declare it not to him, nor speak to him, that he may be converted from his wicked way, and live: the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at thy hand.
19 But if thou give warning to the wicked, and he be not converted from his wickedness, and from his evil way: he indeed shall die in his iniquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Moreover if the just man shall turn away from his justice, and shall commit iniquity: I will lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die, because thou hast not given him warning: he shall die in his sin, and his justices which he hath done, shall not be remembered: but I will require his blood at thy hand.
21 But if thou warn the just man, that the just may not sin, and he doth not sin: living he shall live, because thou hast warned him, and thou hast delivered thy soul.

Rolheiser's work is sad reading from a sad man. A man who has lost the faith and who has drunk from the cup of modernism and has succumbed to its poison. A man whose work is truly "straw" unlike the Angelic Doctor who would not recognize truth in Ron's work.

He may wish to ponder what the Holy Prophet has said and given the choice between Ezekiel and Rolheiser, I won't be taking Rolheiser's advise any time soon.

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."

UPDATE:

Through his "assistant" here is Ron Rolheiser's response:

1.     What I said in the article needs to be said because many Catholics are not clear on the church’s actual teaching on both missing mass and on mortal sin:
·       Missing mass is a serious and grave thing, but one can ever, from the outside, say it is a mortal sin. That is orthodox Catholic teaching.
·       Mortal sin, and all sin, can never be judged from the outside, it is a thing of conscience, between God and that person. That too is classical Catholic moral theology.

2.     The article does not trivialize either the seriousness of missing mass or of having sex outside of marriage. In a properly, fully formed conscience these would be grave matter; but many people (not least many of our own children) often approach very serious things in a careless, irresponsible manner. That isn’t a judgment on the seriousness of the matter, but on their immaturity. We can be very careless, calloused, and mindless before serious things, and often are. That doesn’t diminish their seriousness, but speaks of what Thomas Aquinas called “invincible, non-culpable ignorance” on our part.

3.     Some persons object that this column confuses people and sends a bad signal to young people (who need clear moral teachings). I admit the danger here and agree that young people need clear moral guidance. But I risk this column nonetheless for two reasons:
i.               We need to give clear moral teaching to our young, but it needs to be accurate moral teaching. Over-simplistic, not-properly-nuanced, thinking can, I agree, frighten some into different behavior, but we are still sending them a false message. We simply may not be that black and white in naming mortal sin, particularly if we want be consistent about its consequences.
ii.              To say someone has committed a mortal sin says too that, should he or she die in that condition, he or she would go to hell for all eternity. That’s what the word “mortal” means here. Everything we believe about God and all that’s best in us won’t let us draw out that conclusion. Millions of good people die in this state (having missed mass many times and having had sex outside of marriage, without having confessed either of them) and we cannot consign them to hell. It goes against most everything Jesus incarnated and taught.

4.     I wrote this column precisely to help free up many people who worry that some of their loved ones, children, relatives, friends, died and went to hell because they missed mass or had sex outside of marriage and then died, suddenly or otherwise, in a way that didn’t leave them either the opportunity or aptitude for explicit confession or repentance. We need to accept more fully what Jesus taught about God’s understanding and mercy. Where do we see Jesus lay down these kinds of hard, categorical kinds of statements about “mortal” sin? In deciding what is really confused here we might well ask ourselves: Where would Jesus land on this?

I am sorry if what I have written upsets or confuses some people, but what we have often been casually teaching about missing mass and mortal sin has also confused and upset many people, many of whom have left the church precisely because of this kind of teaching – which, in its unrefined expression, does no honor to either Jesus or the Roman Catholic Church. Both need to be freed from this kind judgment.

Has Maltese Bishop Mario Grech threatened priests with suspension who do not go along with sacrilege?

The Italian blog Messa in Latino, is reporting that Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo in Malta has threatened suspension to any priest who defies the edict that Holy Communion must be provided to those in adultery, and presumably other sins or that would be discriminatory, who are at "peace with God."

… Quindi: minaccia di sospensione a divinis (o comunque interdetto di celebrare pubblicamente) per i preti maltesi che non daranno la comunione ai divorziati risposati We were told by reliable and trustworthy people, whose identity we know but for obvious reasons we cannot reveal, that in these last few days, Bp. Mario Grech (Bishop of Gozo, in the photo) on his return from Rome THREATENED priest of his diocese in Malta to “prohibit them from saying Mass if they don’t support the directives about Amoris laetitia written with Bishop Scicluna.  … Hence, he threads suspension a divinis (or rather interdict to celebrate publicly) for Maltese priests who do not give Communion to the divorced and remarried.

If this is not true, let Mario come out and deny it!

You can find him on Facebook and Twitter too!

Ask him if it's true. Let's force him to admit it, or deny it!

David Malloy, Bishop of Rockford declares himself Supreme Pontiff!

David Malloy, the Bishop of Rockford has barred his priests from offering the Novus Ordo Missae in the ad orientem posture. The rubrics of the Roman Missal Third Edition are quite clear in the instruction, that the priest, when he says the Orate or the Pax, is "facing the people." It specifically states that in red because it presumes that he is not, facing the people.

Secondly, Mr. Malloy, has banned priests from offering the traditional Roman liturgy without his permission in direct contravention of Summorum Pontificum.

The bishop is a malefactor. He has no authority to do either. He is a disgrace.

While he is at it, maybe he should ban Confession or public recitation of the Rosary?

How much shall we bet that his next move will be to demand his priests give the Blessed Sacrament to adulterers or sodomites who have not repented and have no intention of amendment of life?

Father Z has the details.

Dr. Joseph Shaw of the Latin Mass Society in the U.K. reports at Rorate.

The Bishop is wrong. Only a man with a distorted ecclesiology and a corrupt Catholic heart and mind would diminish the liturgy of the Holy Mass and mock his priests and people in such a manner.

The man is a clericalist and a disgrace. A boil on the Body of Christ.

Let him be anathema.

He looks rather queer* too, no?
