 Gay unions now ‘central’ to Synod agenda after Irish vote: Cardinal Kasper

May 29, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- The grave effects of Ireland’s May 22 referendum in favor of a same-sex “marriages,” not only for the secular world, but also especially for the Catholic Church, are showing themselves already.
None other than the leading cardinal who has promoted the liberal agenda for the two-part Synod of Bishops on the Family, Cardinal Walter Kasper, has now come out publicly and with force, telling the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that the Church needs to address more fully the question of same-sex couples. This topic was at the last Synod “only a marginal topic, but now it becomes central,” Kasper said on Wednesday.
Kasper also defended the vote of the Irish in favor of homosexual “marriages,” saying: “A democratic state has the duty to respect the will of the people; and it seems clear that, if the majority of the people wants such homosexual unions, the state has a duty to recognize such rights.” He also said that the Irish referendum is “emblematic for the situation in which we find ourselves, not only in Europe, but in the whole West.” Kasper also said: “The postmodern concept – following which everything is equal – stands in contrast to the doctrine of the Church.”
Cardinal Kasper made a link between the events in Ireland and the doctrine of the Catholic Church, when he said it now becomes harder for the Church to explain its own moral position to others in the question of homosexuality. “We have to find a new language,” he said. “We have to overcome [unjust] discrimination, which has a long tradition in our culture.” It is important in his view to honor those long-lasting same-sex relationships, which contain “elements of the good,” even though the Church cannot change its fundamental attitude toward them since they are themselves against the teaching of the Gospels.

Good Cardinals, Bad Cardinals

The Radical Catholic has a good commentary today worth reading with regards to recent comments by Cardinals Müller, Sarah and Brandmüller who have all called Cardinal Walter Kasper's Synodal machinations, "heretical." Let us remember what Cardinal Müller said:
"Any separation of the theory and the practice of the faith would, in its formulation, represent a subtle christological heresy." 
Radical Catholic applies that statement to comments by Washington Cardinal Donald Wuerl:
"I think one of the reasons we're having this Synod, one of the reasons the Holy Father has asked for two Synods, is to reflect on the situation today. When we talk about doctrinal 'givens,' things that are 'fixed,' we're talking about something such as, in what marriage consists. The reception of Communion is not a doctrinal position; it's a pastoral application of the doctrine of the Church. And that involves a number of things: it involves the mercy of God, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the conscience of the individual person, the state of the soul of that individual person - all of those things are quite distinct from a statement in the doctrine of the Church concerning the nature of marriage. And I think we have to sort those things out. And that's probably what's going to go on in these two Synods. We're not in a position to say, "This is how this must be understood today," if all we intend to say is, "It must be repeated," i.e. what we said in the past. We have to repeat the doctrine, but the pastoral practice is what we're talking about. That's why we're having the Synod, and just to repeat the practice of the past, without any effort to see, "Is there some awareness, openness, influence of the Spirit, that might be helping us - in total continuity with our past practice - to find a new direction today?"
This same statement by the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith can be applied to this statement frequently uttered on video by Father Thomas J. Rosica, CSB at conferences apparently originated by Richard Gaillardetz Joseph Professor of Catholic Systematic Theology at Boston College as written in the September 25 2013 issue of the National Catholic Reporter:
Will this pope rewrite controversial church doctrines? No, but that isn't how doctrine changes. Doctrine changes when pastoral contexts shift and new insights emerge such that particular doctrinal formulations no longer mediate the saving message of God's transforming love. Doctrine changes when the church has leaders and teachers who are not afraid to take note of new contexts and emerging insights. It changes when the church has pastors who do what Francis has been insisting on for the last six months: Leave the security of your chanceries, rectories, parish offices and episcopal residences. Set aside the "small-minded rules" that keep you locked up and shielded from the world. Go meet the people where they are.
We have just six months until round two of the "battle" that Cardinal Kasper whined about recently. Yes indeed, it is a battle and we will not lay down and allow Cardinals and others with heretical ideas as confirmed by these three Cardinals run over the Church and the Catholic faithful.

Many have and will suffer for it as we have seen and I include myself in that with the imprudent and unjust actions against me by Father Thomas Rosica of the Congregation of St. Basil with his failed attempt to bankruptcy into silence. There can be no silence in the face of this potential heresy that some would perpetrate. We see the evil and confusion that is proffered by some Cardinals such as Kasper and Danneels, Marx and Wuerl and bishops with a homosexualist and homoheresy agenda such as Bonny, Currie and Lynch. Thank God that it is being balanced by voices of truth and clarity and filled with Christ such as Cardinal Burke and these three. 



How many Cardinals does it take to condemn a heresy?

If I had been gifted with more wit by Almighty God, I'd be able to turn that into one heck of a joke. I'm sure there's at least a mediocre one in there somewhere.

As many of you know by now, Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, President Emeritus of the Pontifical Commission for Historical Sciences, has gone on record in condemnation of any proposal to change Catholic teaching on marriage as heresy. As reported on LifeSiteNews yesterday, when asked whether the Church can change its teaching on marriage without falling into grave error, the good Cardinal replied:

Italian Interview with Cardinal Burke - Has Crux given you the full story?

Rarely, and only if necessary, do I read Crux. This is one of those times. I consider it in the same category as the National Catholic Reporter and now even the National Catholic Register owned by EWTN and having sacked blogger Pat Archbold.  Crux and the mainstream Catholic media are very good at manipulating the story for their advantage and that of those who prop them up. They and many clerics are also very good at bullying those who stand up for the truth and bloggers are easy targets. I should know.

Ines St. Martin wrote yesterday about Cardinal Burke wherein she quotes an interview His Eminence gave to the Italian online journal, La Nuova Bussola QuotidianIt is unfortunate that she did not print more of the actual interview and instead chose selectively to continue what is a scandalous attempt to discredit Cardinal Burke as evident in the combox there. The Cardinals answers are detailed and clear and easy to understand. The readers at Crux would have benefited from the full interview, but when you have an agenda, what does truth matter?

This is not new. 


Salt+ Light Television, Alicia Ambrosio undertook the same smearing and scandalous attempt to discredit the Cardinal stating that he lived in an "Ivory Tower" - the evidence is out there (so come and sue me, if you dare). We can put Crux, the National Catholic Reporter in this same category with the absolute distortion of the recent interview at LifeSiteNews where Cardinal Burke was alleged to have said that adulterers and gays were no better than murderers. Headlines can say many things to the non-thinking, non-reading masses and can do much damage to the truth to Catholics and non-Catholic alike. That is not what the Cardinal said as the interview makes clear. However, mortal sin is mortal sin. Some are worse than others. No good work by a murderer, an adulterer or a sodomite will make up for it, only repentance through the Sacrament of Penance and amendment of life will.

I have taken the interview in La Nuova Bussola Quotidian and translated it using Google Translate and have tidied it up a little. It is well worth reading in its entirety. Once again, Cardinal Burke speaks with clarity and truth and remains an inspiration to Catholics everywhere.

In recent months Raymond Cardinal Burke has been portrayed as a fanatic, an ultra- conservative, an anti-conciliarist and a conspirator against Pope Francis, even ready to a schism if the upcoming Ordinary Synod on the Family opens unwelcome changes to Church teaching. The campaign against the Cardinal is so strong that even in Italy several bishops have refused to accommodate his lectures in their dioceses. And when somewhere he is allowed to hold a meeting - as recently in some cities of northern Italy - invariably some of the priests have contested it, accusing him of spreading propaganda against the Pope. 

"They are all nonsense, I just do not understand this attitude. I never said a word against the Pope, I strive only to serve the truth, a task that we all have. I've always seen my work, my activities as a support to the Petrine ministry. People who know me can testify that I'm not a Pope. On the contrary I have always been very loyal and I've always wanted to serve the Holy Father, which I do even now. "

In fact, meeting him in his apartment around the corner from St. Peter's Square, he is affable and very spontaneous and appears as a thousand miles away from the image of dour defender of "cold doctrine", as described by the mainstream press.

In the debate that preceded and followed the first Synod on the family some of Cardinal Burke’s statements are actually played as a criticism of Pope Francis, or so they have been interpreted. For example, recently there was made by the media lot of noise that his "I will resist, resist" as a possible response to the Pope's decision to grant communion to divorced and remarried.

“But it was a sentence misrepresented, there was no reference to Pope Francis. I believe, that because I have always spoken very clearly on the issue of marriage and the family, some want to portray and neutralize me as an enemy of the Pope, or even ready to schism, just using that answer I gave in an interview with a French television station.”

So how then should that answer be interpreted?

“It is very simple. The journalist asked me what I would do, if hypothetically, - not referring to Pope Francis - a pontiff was to make decisions against the doctrine and practice of the Church. I said that I should resist, because we are all in the service of truth, starting with the Pope. The Church is not a political body in the sense of power. The power is Jesus Christ and his gospel. To this, I replied that I will resist and would not be the first time that this happens in the Church. There were several moments in history where someone had to stand up to the Pope, beginning with St. Paul against St. Peter, who wanted to impose circumcision to the converted Greek. But in my case I'm not at all undertaking any resistance to Pope Francis, because he has done nothing against the doctrine, nor do I see myself at all in the fight against the Pope, as they want to paint me. I'm not pursuing the interests of a group or a party; I just try to be as Cardinal, a teacher of the faith.”

Another "count of indictment" against him is his alleged passion for "lace," as it is said in a demeaning way and something that the Pope cannot stand.

“The Pope has never made me doubt the way I dress, which however, is still within the norm of the Church. I also celebrate the liturgy in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite and there are for this vestments that do not exist for the celebration in the Ordinary Form, but I always wear what the rule is for the ritual that I am celebrating. I do not engage in politics against the way of dressing of the Pope. We have to also say that every Pope has his own style, but that does not then impose this style to all other bishops. I do not understand why this should be a cause for controversy.”

But the newspapers often used a photo in which he has worn a Cardinals galero a headdress definitely out of time.

Ah, that; but it's amazing. I can explain. It is a picture that has spread after a newspaper had used it to publish an interview with me during the Synod. The interview was done well, but unfortunately they used a photo that was taken out of context, and I'm sorry for it, because by doing this they gave the wrong impression of a person living in the past. What happened, in fact, was that, after being appointed cardinal, I was invited to a diocese in the south of Italy for a conference on the liturgy. For the occasion, the organizers wanted to give me the gift of a former cardinal's hat - they did not know who’s it had been. Obviously it is in my hand and I had no intention of wearing it regularly, but he asked me if I would put it on to be able to do at least one photo with the hat, so I wore it. This was the only time I put that hat on my head, but unfortunately that picture has been all over the world and someone used it to give the impression that I go around like that. But I've never worn it again, not even in a ceremony.”

He was also listed as the inspiration, if not the promoter, of the "Petition to Pope Francis on the family", which was released for collecting signatures on a few sites amongst the world’s traditionalists.

“I signed that document, but it was not my initiative or my idea. Nor did I write or co-write the text. Those who have said otherwise stated falsely. For all I know it is an initiative of lay people, I was shown the text and I signed it, as have many other cardinals.”

Another of the charges put to him is to be anti-conciliarist, against the Second Vatican Council.

“Labels are easy to apply, but there is no basis in reality. All my theological education in the major seminary was based on the documents of Vatican II, and I am still trying today to study more deeply these documents. I'm not at all opposed to the council, and if one reads my writings will find that many times I quote the documents of Vatican II. One on which however do not agree is the "Spirit of the Council", this realization of the council who is not faithful to the text of the documents but that purports to create something totally new, a new church that has nothing to do with all the so called aberrations of the past. In this, I follow fully the bright presentation that made Benedict XVI in his address to the Roman Curia for Christmas 2005. It is the famous speech in which he explains that the correct interpretation is that of reform in continuity, as opposed to hermeneutics of rupture in the discontinuity that many sectors carry on. The intervention of Benedict XVI is brilliant and explains everything. Many things that happened after the Council and attributed to the council have nothing to do with the council. This is the simple truth.”

But the fact remains that Pope Francis has "punished" him by removing him from the Apostolic Signatura and entrusting the patronage of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

“The Pope gave an interview with Argentine newspaper La Nacion that has already answered this question by explaining the reasons for this choice. This says it all, and not for me to comment. I can only say, without violating any secret, I was never told by the Pope or given the impression that he wanted to punish me for something.”

What is certain is that this "bad image" has to do with what Cardinal Kasper also, in recent days, called the "synodal battle". That seems to grow in intensity as you get closer to the Ordinary Synod next October. Where are we?

“I would say that there is now a much more extensive discussion on the topics covered by the Synod and that's good. There is a greater number of cardinals, bishops and lay people who are intervening and this is very positive. I do not understand why all the noise that was created last year around the book "Remaining in the Truth of Christ," to which I have contributed along with four other cardinals and four specialists on marriage.”

That book is where was born the theory of a plot against the Pope, a view echoed recently by Alberto Melloni in the Corriere della Sera, and that cost him a lawsuit by the publisher Italian Cantagalli.

“It is simply absurd. How you can be accused of conspiracy against the Pope with what the Church has always taught and practiced on marriage and communion? It is certain that the book was written as an aid for the Synod to answer the thesis of Cardinal Kasper. But it is not controversial, is a presentation faithful to the tradition, and is also the highest scientific quality possible. I am totally available to receive criticism about the content, but to say that we have taken part in a plot against the Pope is unacceptable.”

But who is fomenting this witch hunt?

“I do not have any direct information but surely there is a group that wants to impose on the Church not only this thesis of Cardinal Kasper on communion for divorced and remarried, or for people in irregular situations, but also other positions on issues related to the themes of the Synod. I refer to the idea of ​​finding the positive elements in sexual relations outside of marriage or homosexuality. It is evident that there are forces pushing in this direction, and for that they want to discredit us who are trying to defend the Church's teaching. I have nothing personal against Cardinal Kasper, but for me, the question is only to present the Church's teaching, which in this case is related to words spoken by the Lord.”

Looking at some of the themes that emerged strongly in the Synod, the about a gay lobby is common.

“Without being able to pinpoint, I do see more and more that there is a force that goes in this direction. I see people who, consciously or unconsciously, are carrying out a homosexual agenda. How this is organized I do not know, but it is evident that there is a force of this kind. At the Synod we have said that talking about homosexuality had nothing to do with the family, rather it would have been better to convene a special Synod if you wanted to talk about this issue. But we found in the Relatio post disceptationem this issue that had not been discussed by the fathers.”

One of the theological justifications in support of Cardinal Kasper that today is very often repeated is that of the "development of doctrine;" -- not a change, but a depth which can lead to a new practice.

“Here, there is a big misunderstanding. The development of the doctrine, as it has for example presented by Blessed Cardinal Newman or other good theologians, means a deepening in appreciation, knowledge of a doctrine, not the change of doctrine. The development in any case leads to change. One example is that of the Post-Synodal written by Pope Benedict XVI on the Eucharist, is "Sacramentum Caritatis;" - in it is presented the development of the knowledge of the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, also expressed in Eucharistic adoration. There were some in fact contrary and opposed to Eucharistic adoration, because the Eucharist is to be received within. But Benedict XVI explained - also citing St. Augustine - that if it is true that the Lord gives us himself in the Eucharist to be consumed, it is also true that you cannot recognize this reality of Jesus' presence under the Eucharistic species without worshiping these species. This is an example of the development of doctrine, but it is not that the doctrine on the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist has changed.”

One reason for the controversy on the Synod is the alleged opposition between doctrine and practice, doctrine and mercy. Even the pope insists that the often self-righteous attitude of those who use the doctrine create a distance and prevent love.

“I think you have to distinguish between what the Pope said on a few occasions and those who claim a contrast between doctrine and practice. You can never admit in the Church a contrast between doctrine and practice because we live the truth that Christ tells us in his holy Church and the truth is never a cool thing. It is the truth that opens to us the space for love, to really love you must respect the truth of the person, and the person in the particular situations in which he or she finds themselves. So to establish a kind of contrast between doctrine and practice does not reflect the reality of our faith. Whoever supports the thesis of Cardinal Kasper - change of discipline that does not touch the doctrine - should explain how it is possible. If the Church admits to communion a person who is related in a marriage but is living with another person in another marriage relationship, that is in a state of adultery how can one believe at the same time that marriage is indissoluble? The relationship between doctrine and practice is a false contrast that we must reject.”

But it is true that you can use the doctrine without love.

“Sure, and that's what the pope is denouncing, use of the law or doctrine to advance a personal agenda, to dominate people. But that does not mean there is a problem with the doctrine and discipline; only there are people of ill will commit abuses that may for example by interpreting the law in a way that harms people. Or applying the law without love, insisting on the truth of the situation of the person but without love. Even when a person is in serious sin we must love the person and help as the Lord has made example to us with the adulteress and the Samaritan woman. He was very clear in announcing the state of sin in which they were, but at the same time showed a great love by inviting them to come out of this situation. What did not the Pharisees, which instead showed a cruel legalism: denouncing the violation of the law, but without giving any help to the person to exit from sin, so as to find peace in his life.”

Kasper's heresy and the Pope's fawning - Shall we, "Chiacchierare?"

Every once in a while something comes along that puts many pieces of the puzzle together.

Remember these words?
"In these days, I have been able to read a book by a cardinal—Cardinal Kasper, a talented theologian, a good theologian—on mercy. And it did me such good, that book, but don't think that I'm publicizing the books of my cardinals. That is not the case! But it did me such good, so much good ... Cardinal Kasper said that hearing the word mercy changes everything." [1]

The book in question is the one by Cardinal Kasper who brought to the fore the scandal at the Synod on the Family. It is from where those that worked to manipulate the Synod in an adulterist and homosexualist conspiracy to undermine the faith and defame the Holy Eucharist found their footing and leadership

Now we read that Pope Francis is upset about "gossip and chatter." I dare say that there is a lot more that he should be upset about and it begins with the man whom he praised.

In 1967, this same German Kasper said:
"The God who is enthroned over the world and history as a changeless being is an offence to man. One must deny him for man’s sake, because he claims for himself the dignity and honour that belong by right to man…. We must resist this God, however, not only for man’s sake, but also for God’s sake. He is not the true God at all, but rather a wretched idol. For a God who is only alongside of and above history, who is not himself history, is a finite God. If we call such a being God, then for the sake of the Absolute we must become absolute atheists. Such a God springs from a rigid worldview; he is the guarantor of the status quo and the enemy of the new." [2]

In this same book that the Pope has praised, Kasper writes more carefully:
"On the basis of its metaphysical starting point, dogmatic theology has difficulty speaking of a compassionate God. It has to exclude the possibility that God suffers with his creatures in a passive sense; it can only speak of pity and mercy, in the active sense that God opposes the suffering of his creatures and provides them assistance. The question that remains is whether this satisfactorily corresponds to the biblical understanding of God, who suffers with his creatures, who as misericors has a heart with the poor and for the poor. Can a God who is conceived so apathetically be really sympathetic? Pastorally, this conception of God is a catastrophe. For a so abstractly conceived God appears to most people to be very distant from their personal situation." [3]

The Pope has thrown his papacy and our lives as Catholics in with this masonic and modernist heretic. What kind of plot is this? Did the Pope not know this about these statements by Kasper before he praised him? Surely he knows it now.
The praise given by the Holy Father to this book did not go unnoticed. Kasper himself shared a revealing anecdote during a public interview at Fordham University in May 2014. He related that after Pope Francis had publicly praised his book an “older cardinal” had insisted: "Holy Father, you should not recommend this book! There are many heresies in it!" The Pope smiled as he told Kasper the story, and reassured him "It goes in one ear and out the other!"[4]

Will Pope Francis now distance himself from Kasper for the sake of Christ's faithful? 

Until the Pope himself puts an end to the scandal and heresy the chattering is going to continue and in fact, grow to a crescendo!

Out of the rot and confusion of Germany's bishops comes a voice of Truth

There can be no denying the literal evil coming out of the hierarchy and the Church in Germany. The power that these men wield because of their wealth and the influence which this gives them upon many around the world and in Rome is disturbing.

In a report on March 23 in the Catholic Herald, Cardinal Walter Kasper urged that "We should all pray" for the Holy Spirit's guidance over the Synod "because a battle is going on." Kasper made his remarks in English presenting his new book to be published by the Paulist Press, Pope Francis's Revolution of Tenderness and Love. I can't wait to stand in line to get this bestseller. The Cardinal went on to say that “Hopefully, the synod will be able to find a common answer, with a large majority." On the matter of doctrine, Kasper said that he hopes there "will not be a rupture with tradition, but a doctrine that is a development of tradition." 

Does this man seriously think that God is going to answer prayers that will undermine doctrine or that doctrine is determined by a majority vote? 

On the matter of doctrine that it be a "development of tradition" according to Kasper, where have we heard this kind of talk before?

It changes when the Church has pastors who do what Francis has been insisting: leave the securities of your chanceries, of your rectories, of your safe places, of your episcopal residences go set aside the small-minded rules that often keep you locked up and shielded from the world.”

I'd like to be able to attribute that quote properly; the problem is, I really don't know who said it first. As far as can tell, it first appeared in the September 25, 2013 edition of the National Catholic Reporter and was written by Richard Gaillardetz. On the other hand, it has been used a number of times in lectures given by Father Thomas J. Rosica CSB as can be found in this report at LifeSiteNews and the accompanying video without attribution to Gaillardetz.

There is no doubt that the thinking of Kasper is in line with the quote above by whomever said it first. Doctrine changes when that doctrine that is a "development of tradition" and it "changes when pastoral contexts shift and new insights emerge."

Kasper is a Protestant. His thinking is heretical. There can be no doubt about it any longer and those that give credence to this man in Rome, no matter who they are, are like unto him. When you lie down with pigs you end up covered in mud is an apt expression.

Germany's Religious viewpoint

Meanwhile, Niedziela in Poland is carrying a report from Radio Watykańskie that German men and women religious are demanding changes to the Church's teaching on sex, marriage and homosexuality. The statement of the twenty-two thousand nuns and religious calls for the church to change its approach to sexuality and in this matter expressed more confidence in the faithful than the Church. The Church must be open as is the Orthodox Church and should bless divorcees, allowing them to receive communion. The Church should also bless same-sex couples and communion should not be denied them. German monks are inclined to the opinion that many of these would aspire to the Christian way of life and a faithful partnership for life, but cannot accept the fact that the Church requires them to maintain sexual abstinence. "How homosexuals would be considered as beloved children of God, if the Catholic Church does not bless them in their quest for a fulfilling partnership," the authors ask rhetorically. They blame the Magisterium of the Church for widening the gap between the doctrine and the everyday life of the laity.

Cardinal Marx's schismatic comments

Not long ago, we had Cardinal Marx stating; "We are no subsidiaries of Rome, Each conference of  bishops is responsible for pastoral care in its culture, and must, as its most proper task, preach the Gospel on our own. We cannot wait for a synod to tell us how we have to shape pastoral care for marriage and family here." 

Cardinal Marx is simply a new Luther! Combined with Cardinal Kasper's comments that Africans "should not tell us too much what we have to do," it becomes quite clear to all that these Germans are planning a schism one way or another as I wrote about previously.

Well, not all Germans it seems, thanks to the LORD. 

Cardinal Cordes reprimands Marx

Rorate Caeli blog is now joined by other news services reporting on a March 7, 2015 letter to Tagespost from Paul Josef Cardinal Cordes an 80 year-old Cardinal and former Curia official. Cardinal Cordes commented on Marx's "theological blurriness" and that, "as a social ethicist Cardinal Marx may know much about the dependency of branches of large corporation but in an ecclesiastical context, such statements should rather be rather left to the village pub." 

The Cardinal went on to say that the Church in Germany is "unfit to work against growing secularism." Cardinal Cordes lamented that in Cardinal Marx's comments, the idea of communion – among bishops, and with the Bishop of Rome – was sorely lacking, “even though the bishops expressly promised 'unity with the College of Bishops under the Successor of Peter' during their episcopal consecration. The sentence: 'We cannot wait for a synod to tell us how we have to shape pastoral care for marriage and family here' is not imbued with a spirit of 'Communio'.”

As reported in the NCRegister, the Cardinal “Particularly deplorable are the statements during the press conference that the 'new solutions' – everyone knows what is meant – can be theologically justified,” Cardinal Cordes wrote. “Does he want to say that the dogma of the inseparability of marriage becomes intolerable because of the life situations of remarried people? 

These "new solutions" proposed by Kasper and Marx align directly with the statement above on changing doctrine due to new "development" or "new insights."

Catholics, wake up!

We cannot sit by and allow these men to undermine the beauty of the Truth of Christ as expressed in the Magisterial teaching of the Church in some false form of mercy which we hear about daily.

There is indeed a "battle going on" and Kasper will not win it.

Edward Pentin: "Is the Synod Secretariat Stacking the Deck Again?"

If the name Edward Pentin is not familiar to you, it will be. When Cardinal Kasper made his infamous quip during last October's Synod on the Family about Africans, that they "should not tell us too much what to do" it was to Edward Pentin. You may recall that Kasper then denied the comment and after admitting to it tried to discredit the journalist. Quite the act of charity by a Prince of the Church, it was.

Pentin has spent over a decade working, monitoring, reporting and consulting on the Vatican and Catholic issues. This is a respected journalist and his work has been in such publications as The Sunday Times, Newsweek, Foreign Affairs, Newsmax and the National Catholic Register as well as appearances on a range of broadcasters. 

Pentin's credibility has never been questioned except by this German Cardinal. Kasper, you'll recall, has for over a year under this Pope received special consideration for his "mercy" philosophy notwithstanding his mostly heterodox views on marriage and the Eucharist that puts him at odds with St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI and the Church's doctrine only to be lauded by Francis. 

Pentin has reported in the National Catholic Register of what appears to be the beginning of a stacking of the deck for this October's Ordinary Synod on the Family, the second part to the disaster we faced last October.

He has done the research and provides the documentation at the link below. Two of note are a Synod appointee with links to Kasper, and a professor intent on reforming the image and theology of the reprimanded Teilard de Chardin.  Next we have an underling of Archbishop Bruno Forte, the author of the homosexualist innovation in the Relatio Report and a Jesuit professor who advocates "sharing" of the Eucharist. 

Pentin's article is a must-read and a call-to-action if we can borrow that phrase for what lies ahead of all of us.

As some point, we are not going to be able to hold back any longer and we might be keen to ask, "Holy Father, what are your intentions?"

The Second Coming - not of Our Lord but of the German Schism

It may be possible to write a whole blog or website dedicated solely to the corruption within the Catholic Church in Germany and each day add a new chapter to this tragedy. The spirit of Luther, Weishaupt, Marx, von Bismarck, Hitler, Hegel have combined over the centuries to influence the Church in a most anti Catholic way. The Masonic, Illuminist and Protestant philosophies have poisoned the minds of generations of clerics and professors that is near universal there.


Over the last few months I have focused a number of posts on the situation. We have begged Pope Francis to distance himself from the corruption and to rebuke them and it has not come; it has only gotten worse. The pornographic publishing empire held by the German bishops conference continues in its filthy ways with no attempt to shut it down and repent of this abomination and crime before the Lord and Our Lady. Can it be possible that Pope Francis is unaware of its existence? It hardly seems possible. Benedict XVI was aware of it and demanded action on the part of the German bishops and he was ignored. The porn matter is not first time that our beloved Papa Ratzinger was disobeyed by these men One example is the translation of "pro multis" which has been correctly rendered as "for many" now in English. In German (amongst others in transition) it is still translated as "for all" and will remain so for now. Pope Benedict XVI wrote to the German bishops for a corrected translation and yet again, he was disobeyed in spite of his theological and scriptural dissertation. Can there be any doubt the poor man fled for the fear of the wolves? 


Cologne diocese has announced that its wealth is over 3.8 billion euros with 2.4 billion euros invested in stocks funds and company holdings. I imagine the pornographic publisher is somewhere in there. What other companies does the Church own in stocks? Drug companies producing contraceptive/abortifacient drugs? Drugs used for euthanasia in Holland, Belgium and Switzerland? According to Crux, they have nearly 650 million euros in tangible assets, mostly property (other than parish churches valued at $1 or euro?) and cash reserves of 287 million euros. The German bishops are paid the equivalent of over $150,000 US per year and these men will deny the sacraments to those who don't keep filling their coffers. This lead us to the kirchensteuer, the outdated and corrupt tax levy of Germans paid directly to the churches and synagogues by the government after taking a little off the top for themselves. 


Who can forget the legendary Kasper, a material heretic if there ever were one and euro-centric elitist of all things African whose machinations and manipulations at the Synod on the Family is validated by those beyond the civil courts such as Raymond Cardinal Burke, George Cardinal Pell, Cardinal Napier and His Excellency, Athanasius Schneider amongst others.  Let me say that again -- in case you did not get it the first time (see Canon 212§3), "machinations and manipulations."

Now, it all becomes clear.


When Kasper insulted our African brothers and sisters (the Fox is born in South Africa of Irish, Dutch French and African descent) and mocked them in his arrogant, euro-centric, xenophobic, paternalistic, condescending and racist tone, "they should not tell us too much what to do" there was more there then, than most picked up. I stated in discussions what Kasper and these Germans were up to -- let the Africans be "bigots" we Germans, we are better after all, we are efficient and much superior to these, you go your way, we'll go ours. I said it then: It is the German Catholic Church, that is what these manipulators, these traitorous prelates and their minions are out to accomplish. The logical step of a false collegiality as promoted by a hermeneutic of rupture from the Rhineland influence and domination at the Second Vatican Council. Isn't this one of the critical doctrinal points of the SSPX? 


Now we can begin to put the pieces together - it is just too obvious, they have shown their cards.

Theodore McCarrick, the former Cardinal Archbishop of Washington has revealed his part in what appears to be a lobby effort to elect Jorge Cardinal Bergoglio as Pope.  He would only need "five years" to have the Church "back on track" McCarrick himself, with a special interest in extra-curricular activities, says it for all to hear in the video. Schism in on the horizon de facto or de jure remains to be seen but schism, no doubt. They needed to ensure that they could elect someone that would be sympathetic to their cause. Hence the apparent lobbying effort. 

Each bishops conference will do what it wants with pastoral practice under a static universal doctrine appearing to be Catholic and catered to its own needs. The doctrine will change because pastoral practice will be adapted. This is not Catholic, it is heresy. We are on to them and the evidence is out there for all to see if we are prepared to call it out for what it is. The videos of the speeches exist because these men in their prideful arrogance began letting it out well over a year ago - only now it is all coming together for us to see.

These men are not Catholics, they may be barely Christians. They are Protestants, and they are heretics and they are leading souls to Hell. They are Judases who have betrayed Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church created to save humanity. They are radical and they preach a false ecumenism - they have lost the faith in the Real Presence, if they ever really had it because if they really believed, they would not do it. They are the "synthesis" of all heretics, they are modernists!


The Pope is the guardian of doctrinal truth. He must act as Pope in the face of these men who would seek to cause schism in the holy Catholic Church.


Know this friend. You are not going to be warned about this on Patheos, on Crux by reading The Tablet or the National Catholic Reporter. You may not even get it from EWTN or the National Catholic Register and you certainly won't get it in Canada in our print or cable media; so we here are left to hope for a few brave bishops that might find their Catholic heart and their anatomy. You will be able, over the next nine months to find the truth in many places, blogs and speciality on line media and it will not come from those you expect to tell you the truth but whose bread is buttered by these men. To me personally, that is quite obvious and the silence is deafening.


You and I have a responsibility as articulated in that referred to Canon. If the last week has taught us anything and as if October wasn't enough to remind us, we have an ability that no generation before us has had. We have an opportunity that our parents and grandparents did not have -- carry the torch for them and fight the fight that they could not wage. 


When these prelates, these clericalists tell you that you're not competent or qualified read them the Canon and then tell them this as a friend in Scotland said to me today -- "you raped our children and you gave us the example of dissent from the pulpit, who are you that we should listen to you now?"

Now go make a mess.

German Bishops' wealth and pornography publishing continue to be questioned!

The evening before Remembrance Day my wife and I sat watching a documentary on The Great War. When the report began on the use of poison gas for the first time in warfare and the intense suffering that the British, French, Canadian, American, Belgian and Dutch troops endured, I explained, "There is an unexplained evil in Germany." I then said to my wife, "No, I am wrong, it is not unexplained, it is Luther."

It was not only the poison gas used in World War I with 10,000,000 dead; it was the rise of the occultist satanic philosophy of national socialism and its deranged and evil leader, Adolph Hitler that continued the evil culminating, when one takes into account the intense suffering of China, over 110,000,000, souls offered to Satan.

Martin Luther was a devil. Many of the German bishops today specifically Kasper and Marx are following in his footsteps. 

The Illuminati, on which modern Freemasonry is modelled began in Germany. The Kulturkampf of Otto von Bismarck was an attack on the Catholic faith; it is clear for all to see, that these German bishops of today have been corrupted by it and have sold out to it. 

Earlier this month, I asked the question, "Why is Pope Francis blind go Germany's rich and pornography producing bishops?" The link was seen worldwide and read by tens of thousands thanks to Pewsitter and others.

Their egregious wealth, their lies and dissent, and the issue of the porn publisher straight on. We cannot let this issue be hidden. The scandal of Kasper and Marx and the German bishops right under the nose of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, must be brought out in the open. 

There is an evil emanating again from Germany; the original question remains unanswered.

Cardinaliate excommunication looming?

A hat-tip to Brother Alexis Bugnolo at The Franciscan Archive for a little Tweet that caused me to look for the whole quote from the Council of Trent: Session XIII, Canon XI which states:

CANON XI.-lf any one saith, that faith alone is a sufficient preparation for receiving the sacrament of the most holy Eucharist; let him be anathema. And for fear lest so great a sacrament may be received unworthily, and so unto death and condemnation, this holy Synod ordains and declares, that sacramental confession, when a confessor may be had, is of necessity to be made beforehand, by those whose conscience is burthened with mortal sin, how contrite even soever they may think themselves. But if any one shall presume to teach, preach, or obstinately to assert, or even in public disputation to defend the contrary, he shall be thereupon excommunicated.

To those such as Cardinal Kasper, Cardinal Marx, Cardinal Wuerl who speaks of the "pastoral application of the doctrine" and to the others who hijacked the Synod on the Family by focusing on Holy Communion for those divorced and in civil marriages with no decree of nullity and people suffering from same-sex attraction who act out the urges, how do you expect to get around this?

Will our Holy Father, Pope Francis, uphold the Council of Trent and St. John Paul's document Familiaris Consortio, at least for now still up on the Vatican's web page; or will he flirt with danger by succumbing to the false mercy and lies of those Cardinals who have threatened the unity of the Church and scandalised the "little ones?"

Yet, these Cardinals are in "full communion."

Cardinal Kasper obfuscates and denies and slanders

German Cardinal Walter Kasper continues to obfuscate the truth of what he said in Rome about Africa and its bishops.

Two days ago, the friend of Jorge Bergoglio, Bishop of Rome said that Africans "should not tell us too much what to do." When this broke on Zenit, pressure was exerted upon Zenit to remove the story and His Eminence denied it was said.

The journalist issued his own statement (below) which included a recording and states that the interview took place in St. Peter's Square in the presence of two other journalists, the Cardinal could clearly see that he was being recorded and at no time indicated that the conversation was off-the-record.

Now, instead of simply acknowledging his error and apologising to all involved, Cardinal Kasper attempts to discredit and defame journalist Edward Pentin accusing him of not using "reputable journalistic methods."

This is unbecoming of a Cardinal. It is unbecoming of a Pope to allow this kind of behaviour to continue by someone professing to speak for him.

Cardinal Kasper's Confusion

Cardinal Walter Kasper denies giving reporter Edward Pentin an interview after the conversation appeared on Zenit Oct. 15.  Yet the interview did take place. 
Pentin approached the cardinal outside the synod hall on Oct. 14.  The recording is here.
The problem is Pentin had identified himself at that time as a Register correspondent, which he is. And the Register did publish Pentin’s story with the Cardinal’s remarks (which can be read here).
Pentin is a freelance writer so he also pitches news to other outlets, including Zenit. After filing the story on the cardinal’s interview with the Register but before it was published online, he posted the transcript at Zenit. Pentin has since apologized for not making known to the cardinal his intention to publish at Zenit.
But the cardinal's confusion should end there. The cardinal was shocked that his words appeared at Zenit. But he shouldn’t be shocked by the interview’s content. The words are his — and now anyone can listen to them. Really the confusion is why would he say them?
