Rumours from Rome - an Apostolic Constitution from Francis to all but ban the traditonal Latin Mass

While you think you may enjoy a peaceful Epiphantide glowing in the light of Christmas the Bishop of Rome has other ideas. If my sources are correct, this is imminent, and be prepared for a Lent of suffering and sorrow. Gloria TV is reporting "rumours" from the German blog, Summorum Pontificum (summorum-pontificum.de) that Pope Francis is preparing to unleash a frontal attack on the traditional Latin Mass through the use of an Apostolic Constitution.

Whether or not he has waited for Benedict XVI to be out of the picture is moot. Nothing stopped him for nearly a decade. No, this is his outrage that most of the bishops, priests, and laity around the world have ignored Traditionis Custodes and the abusive follow-up from Roche in the Congregation responsible. At this stage, it is rumour.

Let us pray to God for a quick end to this poison that has inflicted His Church and that we will see a restoration. What I do know is this; fixing this is beyond any ability of any one of us. Only God can destroy this wickedness and restore the faith and when He chooses to act, and I have no doubt He will, it won't be pretty.

I will not go quietly into the night. None of us can.

The Roman jungle telegraph, to which we are connected via several stations, does not always work reliably – which is why we usually hold back a bit with the public reproduction of the messages received. Not everything is worth communicating: the fact that Arthur Roche, the head of the authority responsible for the liturgy, reacted to the news of Benedict's death with the words: "Now we can finally sign the document!" seemed to us at best of anecdotal interest.

Now we receive news about the form and content of this document – and they set off all the alarm bells. Then it is about a new Apostolic Constitution, with which Francis, who is highly dissatisfied with the slow implementation of Traditionis Custodes, now finally wants to put an end to the old Mass. Francis, therefore, chose the form of an Apostolic Constitution in order to adhere to the corresponding Constitution Missale Romanum of Paul VI and to emphasize the equality of his current regulations with the 1969 Act of Law.

According to our information, the expected constitution contains 4 main provisions:

In no parish/diocesan church, may the old mass be celebrated.

In diocesan churches it may not be celebrated every Sunday according to the old rite.

The use of the 1962 books (with the modifications ordered by Francis) is only permitted for the celebration of Mass, but not for the administration of sacraments and sacramentals.

Every priest is obliged to celebrate (publicly?) according to Paul VI's missal.

This is the status of our information on 13 January. We keep an eye on the matter and our ears to the telegraph.

Could also be a provocation to bait us. They are looking for any excuse to further "restrictions".

It seems that Quo Primum makes all of this meaningless. Priests need to review Quo Primum and carry on accordingly. Also, spell checkers need to learn latin!

Thank you, Vox.

The brilliant and inspired Catholic theologian Pope Benedict XVI said of the Traditional Latin Mass ; "What was good before is good now". And as the Mass of the Ages was the instrument of salvation for twenty centuries, to say that it is "divisive" is just another blasphemy uttered by the divisive man who girlishly fawns over purveyors of sodomy and lavishes Church awards on abortionists.

Well put. The time has come to ignore him and carry on, if he does such an evil thing. There is no way God intends hootenanny Mass but not the TLM. At some point Catholics have to use the sense of discernment God gives us. He gave us the Holy Mass because we need it. Why after 2000 years would He rescind it. Why after 2000 years would he send the one pope who takes it away. It took God 2000 years to correct his mistake? Or an evil man was put on the Chair of Peter and is enacting his own terrible agenda. Do we hear in Francis the voice of the shepherd? Or do we hear the voice of the false shepherd, the hireling. Why on earth would a pope want to do away with the beautiful Latin Rite, every Catholic's heritage. How does it hurt him. What do large Catholic families do that threatens him so. Is it the veils? The quiet reverence? The fidelity to the Liturgy? What kind of man loathes those who desire such things and seeks to deny them the practice of their faith, the same faith their great-grandparents practiced. What kind of pope persecutes and torments faithful Catholics.
Anathema sit, if he does such an evil thing.

Excellent. May Antipope Francis indeed fully prohibit any offering of the actual (“traditional”) Roman Rite. The more those of the Novus Ordo Antichurch reveal themselves as demonically opposed to the actual Catholic Church, the better.

Jeremiah, I’m not so sure I agree with you. The harm is going to do to real people the little people the scandal it will provoke the sadness and the heartbreak; is that worth it? We can talk about redemptive suffering but I see my community and they don’t deserve this kind of treatment. My new choir members don’t deserve this kind of treatment when they’ve discovered polyphony and sacred chant. I don’t deserve it. Our community has tripled in size in the last 18 months we have so many babies so many baptisms I’ve never seen such a thing. What about those people?

Seeing reality as it really is is always worth it. We’re called to take up our cross and follow truth, not comfort. The truth of the empty papal chair—and concomitantly, the counterfeit Church—is deeply uncomfortable, yet it remains true.

Sedevacantists are simply Catholics who refuse to bury their heads in the sand about the reality of the Great Apostasy being upon us, with Francis as the precursor of the Antichrist, the diabolical ape of John the Baptist.

Francis hasn’t lost any office; rather, he never had any office to lose. Francis was a manifest heretic long before his supposed election. Thus, not pope and never pope. One cannot be the head of a body of which one is not a member.

It takes no legal authority to recognize this manifest reality, any more than one must be a coroner to recognize a manifestly dead body.

Moreover, Francis isn’t simply “a bad father.“ Rather, as a non-Catholic and indeed rabid anti-Catholic, he isn’t a father at all.

It’s time to get real; really real.

The Novus Ordo Antichurch, now led by Antipope Francis, has manifestly been overcome by hell. It’s defected from the Faith, as Francis and his fellow robed heretics prove daily. But since we’re divinely assured that the actual Catholic Church cannot be overcome by hell, that it’s indefectible, the entity now led by Francis cannot possibly be the actual Catholic Church, which is now in the catacombs once again.

Sedevacantists don’t have all the answers, and they don’t claim to. All they claim is an accurate diagnosis of objective reality. A doctor isn’t wrong if he correctly diagnosis cancer but doesn’t have a cure. Likewise, the cancer doesn’t disappear if we deny the diagnosis. Sedes simply refuse to participate in today’s all-pervasive war against reality and thus against God, the author of reality.

Why do we now have tranny freaks reading to our children in libraries? Why etc etc etc? Because of the war against God, and thus against reality, which went nuclear at the Judas Council (Vatican II). This is the proximate cause from which all of today’s madness radiates. The remote cause is of course the ongoing activity of Satan in this world.

R&R adherents, if they have any real humility, are now radically reevaluating their position and taking sedevacantism seriously. Hence, for example, they’re now going to Novus Ordo Watch and reading posts like these:

Anything but Sedevacantism! Analysis of a Curious Phenomenon

and

“Rethinking” the Papacy? A New Narrative for the Semi-Trads

And they’ll now start seriously listening to the Tradcasts there as well (on, e.g., Apple Podcasts)

Over at WM Review, they’ll be reading articles like these:

A Note for Confused Catholics – Apologetics and Dogmatic Theology

and

It’s not a sin to be depressed: Here’s what Aquinas and Neri have to say

And they’ll have a renewed interest in quotes such as the following. Behold:

“Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist; the Church will be in eclipse.”

-Our Lady of La Sallette

“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach a gospel to you besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema.”

-Galatians 1:8-9

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

-Ephesians 5:11

“Bear not the yoke with unbelievers. For what participation hath justice with injustice? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?”

-2 Cor. 6:14-16

“Where there is no hatred of heresy, there is no holiness.“

-Fr. Frederick Faber

“The declared enemies of God and His Church, heretics and schismatics, must be criticized as much as possible, as long as truth is not denied. It is a work of charity to shout: ‘Here is the wolf!’ when it enters the flock or anywhere else.”

-St. Francis de Sales

It is licit to ask for - and hope for, too - suffering to be relieved. The Jews of old centered a number of psalms on this theme. It is just one of the reasons why they longed for the Redeemer.

Jeremiah, that bit about "Rome losing the faith" was put forward by those with modernist tendencies. It is suspect. If I were you, I would put that far away and focus on the apparition as it was originally presented.

Francis is a bad pope, Jeremiah. I can say more and have said much. He is pope in law, he wields the power.

I will not abide repetitious sedevacantist rants on here nor will I tolerate NO watch for the rat shite they have spouted about me.

You have said your peace. Nor hold your peace, to quote Job.

There will be no more!

They will eventually cancel the Eucharist. We have been expecting that since the days of Daniel: "He will make the constant sign and the daily sacrifice..."

Problem is (for them) that the moment they succeed at that, Christ will return and that is going to be their end.
