Sandro Magister's press credential removed by Vatican - blamed for breaking an "embargo" that did not exist!

In a retaliatory move better suited to some dollar-store novel, the Holy See Press Office under Father Federico Lombardi has stripped Magister of his press credentials. Father Lombardi called the "leak" of the Laudato si, a "heinous act."  Frankly, I would be more impressed if he called abortion or the slaughter of Christians by Islamists or the vote for sodomite marriage in Ireland a "heinous act" but to each his own, I suppose. I find the Church's action against Magister as "heinous" and disgraceful.

Commonweal is reporting that in fact, there was no embargo on Magister who "got his copy from an unofficial source (obviously curial) who imposed no restrictions on its use."

Sandro Magister was under no obligation to protect the information since it was not a final copy and no embargo was imposed on him. In fact, the embargo only begins two hours before its release when it will be given to reporters. This stripping of his credentials is without justice because the embargo does not yet exist.

This is what the Church and its "leadership" deserves when they stop teaching salvation and calling all to Jesus Christ and instead takes up with Malthusians and embraces the world.

There was once a tropical Greenland and fossils of palm leaves in northern British Columbia and Alaska. It was once very warm there and fossil fuels had nothing to do with it.

But don't tell Francis that.

St. Francis of Assisi, intercede for us, because they always forget the last verse:

Praised be You, my Lord through Sister Death,
from whom no-one living can escape.
Woe to those who die in mortal sin!
Blessed are they She finds doing Your Will.

No second death can do them harm.
Praise and bless my Lord and give Him thanks,

And serve Him with great humility.

A 'heinous' act? I'll tell you what a heinous act is: LAUDATO SI That is a 'heinous' act. The push for 'climate control' can be whittled down to pagan earth worship, and the CONTROL and DESTRUCTION of what they call 'useless eaters. (that's us) Nothing more that population control, parental control, and control of population entirely, which all fits into 'one world order.' And the Vatican doesn't know this?? That would be akin to calling them a bunch of blithering idiots! The Vatican invites two of the UN's biggest supporters of abortion, euthanasia and parental control to their 'climate change workshop' and they are 'unaware'? Give me a break. The life issues are obviously not a priority in Rome. What the priority is? I don't see anything coming from Rome about saving souls. Isn't that supposed to be the priority?? Infuriating! And what's even more infuriating is the fact that we will buy into their 'new theology'. I guess they think that we are the blithering idiots.

This trend of attempting to please the world in order to gain its acceptance will be the cause of our persecution as Faithful Catholics. It only took 50 years to destroy the Faith. Truly an enemy hath done this.

Sounds like your friend Rosica has been busy at the typewriter again...

I wonder if this 'Vatileaks' sequel will involve the same investigative rigour as that applied by Church authorities when Benedict XVI was in office. Co-operating Curial personages named? Criminal charges brought forth for theft of work product, copyright infringement, etc. Bah! No way.

I admire Magister and his journalistic professionalism. He now becomes another in the long line of Italian journalists and social commentators who have reported the truth and who have gotten the boot for their efforts.

Sadly, I don't suppose it's out of the question that this thorn has been removed by way of a set-up?

I wouldn't be surprised at all Liam!! The hatchet men are busy in Rome.

My donkey RubĂ has now completed a thorough critique of the papal recyclical during her weekly Tuesday thinking day. She is devastated and filled with remorse that Sandro Magister has been punished for sending her a copy of the document.

Rome, the New Secret Society, once known as the Catholic Church has now become an NGO with a new name The Francis Effect / Liberation Communism a subsidiary of the United Nations IPCC partnership. Its goals stop all oil production, coal mining, starve a world so that within the 1 billion souls left there will be plenty of food left for the poor. An Idea that has come of age, thanks to the Francis Effect.

Under Pope Francis, we have a dialogue with Islamic State but not with conservative journalists or even priests.

Dear Pedro, I don't think that that is correct.

His Holiness Pope Francis has time and again condemned ISIL's persecutions against Catholics. Pope Francis has made it clear that justice must be served in that regard.

Accordingly, The Holy See is very upset that the embargo was defied in regard to the upcoming Encyclical. The Holy See is investigating as to the person(s) who presented the Encyclical to L'Espresso.

The latest news that I have read on the matter is that the Holy See has suspended Mister Magister indefinitely. Mister Magister denied that he had defied the embargo. However, the Holy See has a different opinion in that regard.

Therefore, in fairness to the Holy See, they believe that justice must be served to those involved in the breaking of the embargo. Mister Magister is, so to speak, on that list, according to the Holy See.

Peace to you.

Sheesh. And that was just a draft of the encyclical that was leaked. What would it have been if it was the final draft? Even worse hyperbole?

Dear Mark Thomas,

Show me when Pope Francis condemned ISIS and argued for war against ISIS, like Archbishop of Mosul argued this week. I always saw him arguing for dialogue with ISIS. At most, Pope Francis said we should "stop" ISIS but reiforced that he was not arguing for war against ISIS.

One think is to condemn an act another is TO condemn the agressor.

Regarding Magister, the Church was really fast in condemn, and it seems that embargo is matter of controversy. But, no one can say that ISIS is not killing christians.

God bless
