Father Tie-Dye Super Soaker

I mean really...do you really think the students at Rochester Institute of Technology are inspired by this?

Do you really have to disgrace John Henry Cardinal Newman, Cong. Orat. by calling yourself a "Newman Community?"

Why do we think that youth like things that are ugly?

Why do we think that they like to be lied to about the truth and beauty in true liturgy?

Is this what the Fathers of the Second Vatican Council really had in mind?

Where's your Super Soaker?

Where's your sneakers?

Do you really expect anyone to take you seriously?

Are you really a priest of Jesus Christ?

Oh, you're a Jesuit?

Fr. Richard Hunt, S.J. 585.475.5172 rdhcpm@rit.edu Room 1412, Center for Religious Life

Ouch!
I don't like the vestment... but... I can see that it is an original and creative work... The priest sounds like an "artist"... don't argue with artists!!!
The super-soaker for the asperges is another matter. I think Father Hunt has been at this ministry too long. These kind of "tricks" have the unfortunate "smell" of desperation. It's time to retire... but who will take his place? Vox Cantor are you married? Is this the sign you've been waiting for?
