Report: Frank Walker of Canon212 suffers a stroke!

Ann Barnhardt is reporting the following:

"Gina Walker just let us know that Frank had a stroke Thursday night. He is heavily sedated in ICU. The prognosis is for a full recovery, but it’s going to be a long road back. So, we’re all going to be without Frank’s amazing service and hard work of combing the web for every interesting link for a while."

Frank has been a good friend of this blog. His work on Canon212 has been valuable.

Let us pray that Frank has a full recovery.

God bless you, Frank.

When I noticed he had not updated I was worried so I prayed for him. I love his site and am very fond of Frank too.
Of course, I redoubled my prayers!

Frank Walker is a little bit like C.S. Lewis, even if you never met him you feel like you did and you cherish him. Canon212 is an amazing news aggregator of all things Catholic. Frank's collection of news in the Catholic and secular world is unparalleled, nobody else is doing all that as far as we know. Every day it's updated to new stories, and we are going to be far less informed with Frank sidelined. It is a tremendous loss for Catholics who want to keep abreast of the latest in Francis Church, and we are not going to be nearly as informed about the upcoming synod, which will no doubt be a fresh hell for the church and for us. Frank Walker reported on everything, and it was obvious how much work he put into all that reporting. His Canon212 updates are informative AND hilarious. He has a terrific sense of humor and his updates are like having coffee at the table with a charming and devout Catholic friend.
We are hurting about this, it is a personal loss, probably for many, certainly for his poor wife and family. Hopefully many Catholics will keep lifting them all up in prayer.
Dear God, in your mercy please restore Frank Walker to full recovery and health. Our world is so dark, Lord, and he is a bit of light and a reason to smile or laugh as we try to face the imploding culture and church. Please restore him to good health, amen.

Thanks to God and Mary for good prognosis.
One thing- not good to sit at computer for long periods of time. Clots can form.
Thanks Vox

Thank you Dorothy, God bless you as well, you are kind.
I'm missing him more each day and as news comes up my first thought is, what would Frank say about it. Please God he is doing better and his wife and family are holding up.
