What's up in West Palm Beach? Catholic priests defending priestly morality persecuted and threatened? Do we have enough millstones?

What is going on in West Palm Beach, Florida?

The Bishop is Gerald M. Barbarito.

So what's up in West Palm Beach?

Maybe Michael Voris is right, eh?

Half of them, are sodomites!

Francis, Luther and our crisis - who will resist?

With the fuss over the Bishop or Rome's imprudent decision to alter the Holy Thursday ritual, virtually sanctioning years of disobedience including his own; there was another grave scandal which took place in Rome - the provision of Holy Communion to Lutherans. They bragged about it as it took place in a Mass after the Pope's Wednesday audience. Was the priest aware they were Lutheran heretics? Yes, as we have found it, they in fact, encouraged and insisted upon it! Was the Pope aware this was happening? As a follow-up to the Bishop of Rome's meeting in a Lutheran worship hall in Rome late last year, what would one expect, "go forward" he said. It seems pretty likely then that he was.

Now you know what he meant last Monday in his homily.

We have the news now that he will visit Lund, Sweden to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. That event launched by Luther has led to the loss of hundreds of millions of souls. It has led to the death of millions upon millions of people. It gave rise to Illuminism, Freemasonry and the French Revolution, Communism, Nazism and the sexual and homosexualist revolutions now bearing down hard upon our Catholic families and culture, or what's left of it.

I doubt our ancestors who died at the hands of Protestants in Germany, France, England and Ireland, Scandinavia, Spain and Portugal and elsewhere in Europe and even in Mexico could ever have imagined a Pope of Rome praising Luther and commemorating that dastardly act and man. This is Freemasonry as our murdered brethren knew it.

Gaze upon the picture above. See these women masquerading in clerical garb. Heretics, feminists and homosexualists each of them. There they are with Bergoglio and Koch who thinks that Catholics who hold to the faith are not Catholic and are anti-Semitic. Read more of these heretics and their pandering to the homosexalist agenda and fawned over by the Bishop of Rome.

The duty of Jorge Bergoglio is to call these people to repentance and back home to the Catholic Church. That is his duty. If he does not do it, then he will be held to account and he must be called out for it. All indications are, that he is not going to call them back to the Church, he is going to commemorate a schism! This action on the part of Jorge Bergoglio must be condemned. It must be denounced by every Catholic with an ounce of Catholicism left. It must be denounced by bishops and cardinals.

Yesterday was Septuagesima Sunday; the Epistle reads as follows:
"Brethren, Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize? So run that you may obtain. And every one that striveth for the mastery refraineth himself from all things; and they indeed that they may receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible one. I therefore so run, not as at an uncertainty; I so fight, not as one beating the air: but I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection: lest perhaps when I have preached to others, I myself should become a castaway. For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all in Moses were baptized, in the cloud and in the sea: and did all eat the same spiritual food, and drank the same spiritual drink: (that they drank of the spiritual rock that followed them: and the rock was Christ.) But with most of them God was not well pleased."  From the Letter of Saint Paul ¤ 1 Cor. 9. 24-27; 10. 1-5
I think we know to whom Paul was referring. The Lutherans are heretics and the Pope is confirming them in it. The Pope's action is actually an unmerciful act. A merciful act would be to tell them the truth. Again, they are also anti-semitic, a true lover of the Jewish people would call them to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Two relevant articles

Broadly connected, I wish to bring to your attention two timely and important articles.

The first in in the Remnant by Hilary White, the Blackwhite of Pope Francis. She has the courage to reveal Francis as an ideologue with a behaviour that permeates with 1970's South American Jesuit theology, an ever-changing notion that God and the Faith must adapt to man. She draws parallels between Orwell and Bergoglio, "War is peace, Freedom is slavery. Piety is impious. Christians are unchristian."

A guest article by Mr. William P. Fall at The Eye-Witness Blog. He articulates the concerns many of us have had over the recent statement from the Vatican regarding the Jews and our relations with them - essentially that the Old Covenant still exists and they need not come to Christ.

This is a lie. It is a lie even if the words are issued by the Pope of Rome himself.

Mr. Fall highlights the loss of the covenant with the Jews from Scripture itself and then weaves it into the reality we see before us of a Church on the verge of collapse due to the infiltration of Modernism and its various extensions of Illuminism, Freemasonry, Communism.

Daily we are presented with more examples, even now, the decision of Bergoglio to attend a celebration of Protestant heresy in Finland that has lead to the loss of hundreds of millions of souls.

All of this was predicted and it will get worse before it gets better.

The Fatima warning is coming true.

In the end, Her Immaculate Heart will triumph. We need to be faithful to then.

“What shall a Catholic do if some portion of the Church detaches itself from communion of the universal Faith? What other choice can he make if some new contagion attempts to poison, no longer a small part of the Church, but the whole Church at once?  Then his great concern will be to attach himself to antiquity [Tradition] which can no longer be led astray by any lying novelty.”   ~ Saint Vincent of Lerins (c. 445 A.D.)

Archbishop Denis James Hart - That will be one big millstone around your neck, do you think you can swim with it?

But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6

If, when I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die: thou declare it not to him, nor speak to him, that he may be converted from his wicked way, and live: the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at thy hand. Ezechiel 3:18
Seems pretty clear.

The Gesima Sundays

In the traditional Latin-Rite calendar, today is Septuagesima, or seventy-days before Easter. Next Sunday follows with Sexagesima, sixty-days and then Quinquagesima, fifty days before the season of Quadragesima, or Lent in English from the old English word, lencten, referring to the lengthening of days.

This pre-Lent preparation was banished by Bugnini and Paul VI but recently re-established in the Ordinariate Missal, a good hope for the future under a liturgically-minded Pope who will restore all things.

Today, in the traditional Mass, the Tract is sung/said, and the vestments are violet. The New Liturgical Movement has a post about what happens after Vespers of the night before.

Have a blessed Sunday and pray for a restoration and an end to the insanity.

To all Catholic Priests and Faithful: The Case of two Bishops - Bishop Morlino and Archbishop/Cardinal Bergoglio - Which one is more faithful? Which one is more obedient? Where is real humility?

The dust has not settled yet, nor shall it, over the Bishop of Rome's unwise and imprudent change to the rubric of the ritual of the Washing of the Feet on Holy Thursday. Make no mistake, as Bishop or Rome, Jorge Bergoglio has the legal right to make this change, he does not have the moral right. In order to do it, he took it upon himself to redefine the meaning of the ritual. Had Benedict XVI or John Paul II acted in such an arbitrary manner with no respect for the curial process or the blessed post-Vatican II collegiality, there would have been literal hell to pay.

Priests harassed

To all priests who have for five, ten, twenty, even forty years or more have resisted the feminist ideology and held firm to the rubric, viri selecti, thank you. I have had conversations with a few in the last two days. There is distress and frustration. You have been obedient to the Law of the Church and you were insulted for it by busy-body parishioners, liturgical terrorists and brother priests. You've been placed on the "B-Team" or worse. You've been shuffled off to the far reaches of the Diocese. You've been insulted by your flock.

You did it for Christ!

Your obedience and faithfulness to the liturgy was much more meritorious and will be more fruitful than you can imagine even now. You did the right thing. Fathers, do the right thing still. Do not wash the feet of women. Option it out!

St. Ignatius of Loyola said,

"A precious crown is reserved in heaven for those who perform all their actions with all the diligence of which they are capable; for it is not sufficient to do our part well; it must be done more than well."
Focus on the Eucharist and Priesthood

Fathers, dispensing with this para-liturgy gives you a golden opportunity. You can take the ten minutes this would take and add it to your homily. Focus more on the Holy Eucharist and the priesthood.

A call to the Catholic laity

Support your priest to option it out. Do not harass him to do it. Support his decision and admonish those of your fellow parishioners who would harass him for not washing feet. It is a ritual which should never have been put into the Mass to begin with. This was an inevitable as the culture changed and the Church sold out to the world.

The Pope's decision was his to make, it was wrong

The Bishop of Rome has done what he has. It was a bad decision. It was imprudent and it codified disobedience. It legalised his own dissent. It will produce no good. No decision should be made by the Pope without it being a benefit for the salvation of souls. This will save not one soul. There is not good to come from this. It was a political decision. It was a pandering to special interests. Never before has a Pope with such arrogance and lack of consult made such a decision. It seems minor, one little liturgical act on one night of the year, but the implication is much, much greater.

Comments from Bishops

Not many bishops have commented yet. The Bishop of Madison. Robert C. Morlino, has released an official statement including sound advise to the priests which includes,  the option to "omit the ritual of the washing of the feet altogether."

When Pope Francis was elected in March 2013, we know that he immediately proceeded that week and again for the next two years, to dispense with liturgical law by washing the feet of women and in fact, non-Christians on Holy Thursday. If Francis really wanted to demonstrate charity, he could have picked any of the other 364 days or nights of the year to do it. It was a media circus - a religious ritual of deep significance turned into a spectacle of false humility.

In my column on this unfortunate decision, which I believe a future Pope will abrogate, I used a photograph. I republish it along with others from the time when he was Archbishop or Cardinal of Buenos Aires to illustrate a point and to show the contrast between two bishops.

Tell me, who is obedient?

Who is truly humble?

The one who obeys and allows for the Law's escape, such as St. Thomas More would have done and optioned it out, or the one who flouts the Law and decides that he knows better?

Who is truly humble and who is displaying narcissism, arrogance, egotism and pride.

So there you have it. Three photographs from the time where Jorge Bergoglio was Archbishop of Buenos Aires. An Ordinary. Just as Bishop Morlino. Yet, Bishop Morlino will follow the Law, whilst taking full advantage of its liberality, no doubt and Bergoglio broke it.

Morlino obedient. Bergoglio, dissident

One more thing. Why can he grovel on the floor to wash feet, but he cannot genuflect to the WORD MADE FLESH truly present on the Altar under the elements of Bread and Wine which have become the WORD's Body and Blood?

Will this be the next rubric he will change?

Rumour has it that March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, will be the day that he will release his Apostolic Exhortation on the Family. Dates are important to some people.

Thursday 21 January 2016

Hey Ladies, line up to get your feet washed. Francis changes Holy Thursday rubrics to the Mass after 2000 years!

Jorge Bergoglio goes from the supreme "lawbreaker" the Church in Buenos Aires to the Church's "lawmaker!"

Pope proves that if you disobey a law long enough, the Church will change it.

His "god of surprises" has more in store!

Jorge Card. Bergoglio breaks the Law of the Church and washes women's feet in Buenos Aires
Reason #5264 why we should just leave the Nervous Disordered Mess and its Bugnini lead Masonic inspired sacrilege. It has just been revealed, hidden as it was since a few days before Christmas, that Franciscus has changed the rubrics for Holy Thursday from "Viri Selecti" to here comes everyone!

That's right ladies, you can wear a short skirt and give a little flash to Father Bobby as he pours water on your feet in front of the congregation. But don't worry, he'll probably have no interest because he's as queer as this decision.

The picture above is when Francis was just plain out Cardinal Jorge. This means that the Cardinal Archbishop of Buenos Aires broke liturgical law and thus, Canon Law. When he became Pope, and chose to repeat this as Pope the last three years, he had the right to dispense with the Law. As Cardinal, and whenever he did this before becoming a Cardinal, he did not have the right. This means that the current Bishop of Rome did not respect the Law of the Church in these matters before. If he intentionally broke the law of the Church, was that, objectively speaking, a mortal sin? He surely knew what the was, he surely knew better. Hence, he has no respect for Law, but yet, he has changed the Law at his own whim. He has told all of this for well over a year now, that he hates Law, even as recently as Monday morning and then he changes it. He hates it but he knows it is necessary, yet, he would like no law. We have as  Pope, an anarchist!

You and I, however; we are the dissenters. We are the sinners of course. We are those not open to his "god of surprises." We are those nasty, trads who bite!

Well, surprise!

Does Franciscus have the legal power to do this? Of course he does.

Does he have the moral authority? NO, not in a million years. Not in a lifetime does he have the moral authority to do this. He has changed the whole meaning of the Rite!

It is another example of dissenters changing practice, changing doctrine.

Communion-in-the-hand.

Girl Altar Boys.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Liturgical abuse, legalised through the breaking of the law.

So, how do you like the god of surprises, so far, eh?

What kind of Pope is this? I, I, I! Who is this Argentine Peronist!

Is it true then? Did he really stand up and shout that he would strip the 13 Cardinals of their red hats? "Full power has been given to me, I run the show around here?" Did he say it? Because if he didn't, he sure acts like it!

No Wojtyla, No Ratzinger would ever have gotten away with this. Nor would they have tried.

What a blatant, idiotic, abominable decision on the part of the Bishop of Rome. The lawbreaker has become the lawmaker and a bad one at that.

Fathers reading this! You have a choice.

The Washing of the Feet was not part of the Mass until 1955. It was a rite reserved to Cathedrals, Monasteries, Seminaries and Religious Houses. When it was put after the homily on Holy Thursday in the "Reformed Holy Week" by Pius XII at the urging of Annibale Bugnini and other modernists hidden away in the liturgical offices of the Vatican, it was the first time in 2000 years that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was interrupted for a para-liturgy. It was then and remains in the traditional Missal and in the modernist Missal, an "option." It does not have to be done. It can be optioned out! So, option it out! The decree only changes what it expressly seeks to change.

It does not apply to the traditional Mass.

Where is the consultation with the "brother bishops?" Where is the "collegiality?" This Pope has become a dictator, an absolutist, a Peronist!

But mark my words; a future pope will undo this liturgical crime.

You have one choice friends, leave the Novus Ordo. Get out of it and get into Tradition in every way. It is going to come crashing down. It is a valid Mass when, blah, blah, blah; but it cannot be reformed, it can only be abrogated and it will be!

Mark. My. Words.

To my Venerable Brother Cardinal ROBERT SARAH
Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments

Your Eminence,

As I had the opportunity to tell you, for some time I have been reflecting on the rite of "washing of the feet," contained in the Liturgy of the Mass of the Lord's Supper, in order to improve the methods of implementation, to express the full meaning of the gesture made by Jesus at the Last Supper, his gift of himself "to the end" for the salvation of the world, his boundless charity. After careful consideration, I came to the decision to make a change in the rubrics of the Roman Missal.

Therefore I order to appear a change to the heading under which the people chosen to receive the washing of the feet should be men or boys, so that from now on the Church's Pastors can choose the participants in the rite among all the members of the People's God. It also recommends that the chosen is provided an adequate explanation of the meaning of the rite itself.

Grateful for the valuable service of this dicastery, I assure you, Your Eminence, to the Secretary and to all the staff of my remembrance in prayer and, formulating my best wishes for Christmas, I send to all my Apostolic Blessing.

From the Vatican, 20 December 2014

FRANCISCUS
Here is the Latin Decree from the Congregation, no doubt, forced upon them:
In Missa in Cena Domini, post lectionem Evangelii secundum Ioannem, ad humilitatem et caritatem Christi erga discipulos suos quasi scaenice demonstrandam, instauratio Hebdomadae sanctae, decreto Maxima Redemptionis nostrae mysteria (die 30 Novembris 1955), dedit facultatem, ubi ratio pastoralis id suadebatur, lotionem pedum agendi duodecim virorum.

Contrariis quibuslibet minime obstantibus.

Ex aedibus Congregationis de Cultu Divino et Disciplina Sacramentorum, die 6 mensis Ianuarii anno 2016, in sollemnitate Epiphaniae Domini. In the Mass, the Lord's Supper, after the reading of the Gospel according to John, in order to demonstrate the humility and the love of Christ's love for his disciples, and as it were, dramatically, for the establishment of Holy Week and the decree of the greatest mysteries of our Redemption (the day 30 of November, 1955), given us the possibility, where he was advised to give a pastoral reason, the washing, the feet of twelve men of action.
A non-official English translation.
This rite is celebrated, in the Roman rite, and delivered to the words of Jesus had been the name of the Lord's commandment of brotherly love (cf. Jn 13, 34), which is echoed in the celebration of Antiphon.

Intimately thanks to the conformation of this rite are invited to the bishops and priests were Christ himself who "came not to be served but to serve" (Mt 20, 28) You know, in love "to the end" (Jn 13: 1), driven by, and the life I gave him for the salvation of the whole human race.

In order to take part in the rite are full of the meaning of an expression to change it in accordance with a good view of what is in the rubrics of the Roman Missal, the Sovereign Pontiff Francisco (p. 300 n. 11) we read: "Husbands selected the boys are taken by the ministers of ...», which therefore ought to be changed in the following manner: "For those who are selected the boys are taken by the ministers of the people of God ... "(and, consequently, in the Ceremonial of Bishops, n. 301 and n. 299 b:" seats for the designated »), so that they can be to select a small group of the faithful in the representation of the variety and the unity of the pastors of each portion of the people of God. And they can be seen from a group of men and women, and was suitable for the young and old, the healthy and the infirm, the clergy, the consecrated life, lay associations.

How the renewal of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, the strength of the faculties by the Supreme Pontiff, in the liturgical books of the Roman Rite and makes the gift of shepherds to train in mind about one's own, a suitable guidance, whether they be believers who are selected to participate in or to any other, that the rite of the conscious, active, and fruitful .

To the contrary notwithstanding.

From the offices of the Congregation for the Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, the 6th day of the month of January in the year 2016, on the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord.

In accord with Benedict XVI, Universae Ecclesiae, this does not apply to the Roman Missal of 1962 as nothing coming after 1962 which conflicts, is licit. For example, Girl Altar Boys, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Anticipated Sunday liturgy. Should Jorge Bergoglio abrogate U.E., there will be literal hell to pay.

Catholics of Sudbury - Get thee to the Latin Mass!

Let us rejoice with some good news for the Catholics of Sudbury, a vibrant city in northern Ontario which has given, or I should say, sold to the world much of what it sits on. A few months ago, I had heard through some contacts there and in the liturgical movement in Canada that after many years, a traditional Latin Mass was to be held regularly.

A reader has kindly sent me there new web page. The community is known as the Mater Dei Latin Mass Community and Mass it twice per week; a Read Mass on Wednesday at 5:00 P.M. and a Sung Mass with incense on Sundays at 5:00 P.M. The Masses are offered at St. Casimir's Church at 210 Paris Street.

The community has a Facebook page and their web page which can be found at http://www.materdeiparish.ca/.

God bless the people who have made this possible.

+JMJ+
My friends, greetings! My name is Fr. Vince Fiore.
Please take a moment to read this. Thank you.
Installed by the Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie, I am the new pastor of the MATER DEI LATIN MASS COMMUNITY in Sudbury, Ontario.
Mater Dei (Mother of God) is a brand new community that will offer a weekly option of attending the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass in the Traditional Latin Rite on Sundays at 5:00 P.M., beginning:
When: Sunday, 17 January 2016
Where: St. Casimir Church, 210 Paris Street, Sudbury, Ontario (parking lot in back, accessible from Van Horne, then Solidarity Lane).
Attending Mass in the Traditional Rite FULFILLS THE CATHOLIC SUNDAY OBLIGATION TO ATTEND MASS.
We are very excited and are diligently working to be able to offer to Almighty God the fullness of the splendour of this extraordinary Liturgy which, thanks to Dr. David Buley, professor of Music Education at Laurentian University, includes an exquisite integration of Gregorian Chant.
A Low Mass will be offered weekly as well, at St. Casimir on Wednesdays at 5:00 P.M.. This is also often referred to as a 'quiet Mass', that is, without the chanting and incensing one would normally experience at a Sunday High Mass and other 'High Feast Days'.
Sacrament of Penance (Confession) will be made available before Mass on Sunday and Wednesday at 4:00 P.M..
We are totally dependent on the generosity of others. Please remember the Mater Dei Latin Mass Community in your prayers. As usual, a collection will be taken up at the Sunday Masses, please give as generously as possible. Thank you.
As well, please consider Mater Dei as a charitable option, monthly or as regular as possible. It is amazing, as you know, how quickly and wildly costs will mount. Tax receipts will be issued. Donations can be made out and sent to:
Mater Dei Latin Mass
c/o 21 Ste. Anne Road
Sudbury, Ontario
P3C 5P6
This is a Diocesan-wide initiative. Please feel free to come and experience the Divine Liturgy as the Saints you know and love would have known it.
Do not have concerns such as "I won't know what to do", or, "I don't understand Latin". To follow along, resources will be provided. Myself, the servers and the musicians are learning, too. So, be at peace and know that we will be growing in this endeavour together. Very exciting!
We are currently working on our website.
Thank you to Almighty God and Our Lady for this extraordinary opportunity!
Thank you and Dominus Vobiscum! (The Lord be with you!)
Please help spread the word!
Through Him, With Him, and In Him,

So who is this Jason Welle, EssJay and why is he being ordained to the priesthood?

'Created with facebook.com/celebratepride'
Jason Welle, S.J. Facebook photo
So just who is this Jason Welle, EssJay?  Well, he is not Father Jason Welle, OFM so let us be clear about that. Two different men, two different Orders, one name. Too bad for the Friar Welle.

According to his bio on The Jesuit Post, Jason Welle, S.J., was "born and raised in southern California, attended a high school seminary before going to University of California, Santa Cruz to complete a B.A. in Community Studies. He worked nine years in the travel industry, including seven as a flight attendant. In the midst of his high-in-the-sky career, he took a leave to do something more down-to-earth: serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi. Jason is now studying theology in Berkeley, CA."

Jason "really was a Flight Attendant for a major airline
and makes a big deal about it in the linked video and other speeches. He decided that the Jesuits were a better choice for him to "give his life completely over to the service of the poor." As Jason was involved prior to that in the Peace Corps he is clearly motivated by some sort of a altruism. Yet, is the first reason to be priest not to be an Alter Christus and to give oneself over completely to the service of Christ and through Christ to help all people come to Him, be they poor or even the rich? One does not need to become a priest to help the poor. Atheists can do that. Jason was ordained to the diaconate in October in Oakland. He is a member of the Oregon Province of the Jesuits.

Quite bold and careless with his social media, as can be seen in the photo above from his Facebook with the rainbow flag superimposed over his face. Our EssJay friend has some other interesting photos and Tweets that deserve a view.

This one speaks for itself, of course. It was from the decision by the United States Supreme Court to strike down laws declaring that a man cannot marry a man and a woman cannot marry a woman. Well, they cannot no matter what SCOTUS or Welle think or say. #LoveHurts, eh? So will Hell! As for his thoughts on sodomite and lesbian so-called "marriage", our regular commenter DJR reminds of Welle's thoughts in this piece

Now look, I love Lucy as much as anyone; I was born in 1956 during the golden age of television; in fact, Fox and I had a laugh watching "Yours, Mine and Ours" the other night, (where was that chapel) and we were happy to see a "Catholic" wedding and merger of their 18. Who could forget as well, The Long, Long Trailer with Lucy and Desi and of course, the New York shenanigans with the Mertz's. But truly, what does it say about the maturity of one who would mock a Saint of God on her feast day with this?

What of this profanity then? Well, we've all used the "F" word from time to time, to be sure. However, one should be particularly careful on social media about using such a word, no? And what if the profanity was used in the sense of a "prayer" and you are a Deacon of the Catholic Church. Is this an acceptable behaviour of a cleric, a Jesuit?

Yet again, we find Deacon Welle, EssJay up to no good on social media. Clearly, he needs to spend more time with his Breviary. It seems that he thinks Mohammed was a prophet, Muslims certainly do, of course. However, for a Catholic, and in particular one who has presumably studied theology, philosophy, church history and is about to be ordained to the priesthood to call that desert devil a prophet, when in reality he was an antichrist or St. Paul is a liar, is something quite different. If Mohammed was a "prophet" then Jesus was a liar too as were all of His disciples. For Welle, it is not enough to blaspheme God by putting a man who was a murderer, thief, warlord and child molester on the same level as the God Himself come to earth as the WORD MADE FLESH, Our Lord Jesus Christ, but he then blasphemes Him by mocking his Last Supper making it akin to just your typical birthday party with party hats and favours.

Jason Welle, S.J. does not seem to have been fit to be ordained to the clerical state as a deacon. Those posts above were after his diaconal ordination. The "gaying" of his picture took place before.

Did Jason Welle really have the intellectual and spiritual maturity to be ordained to the diaconate?

Does he have the maturity and spiritual discipline to be ordained to the priesthood? I think not.

Deacon Welle, S.J. is a member of the Oregon Province of the Jesuits. A quick search reveals a few interesting facts about this Jesuit Province. Shall we take a look at a brief history from just a few years ago?

"Northwest Jesuits will pay $166,000,000.00 to sex abuse victims in bankruptcy settlement."

"Jesuit Province files for bankruptcy."

Do they every learn?

I confess: I am a "rebel" and an "idolater" and I am "obstinate," but I'll never be a Papolater!

Once again, Francis has managed to lecture and insult faithful Catholics. It is really quite possible that he is losing his mind or he is suffering from some form of dementia; at least, that would be a charitable thought and one in which we could pity him for his mocking of those who hold fast to the Truth.

On the other hand, as I've said before, he is "setting us up."

No Pope has behaved in the manner of this man.

Cardinals, Bishops - when will you rise up?

Pope Francis: obstinate Christians are rebels and idolaters

(Vatican Radio) Christians who stop at “it’s always been done that way” have hearts closed to the surprises of the Holy Spirit. They are idolaters and rebels will never arrive at the fullness of the truth. That was the message of Pope Francis at Mass on Monday morning at the chapel in the Casa Santa Marta.
In the first reading, Saul was rejected by God as King of Israel because he disobeyed, preferring to listen to the people rather than the will of God. The people, after a victory in battle, wanted to offer a sacrifice of the best animals to God, because, he said, “it’s always been done that way.” But God, this time, did not want that. The prophet Samuel rebuked Saul: “Does the Lord so delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obedience to the command of the Lord?” Jesus teaches us the same thing in the Gospel, the Pope explained. When the doctors of the law criticized Him because His disciples did not fast “as had always been done,” Jesus responded with these examples from daily life: “No one sews a piece of unshrunken cloth on an old cloak. If he does, its fullness pulls away, the new from the old, and the tear gets worse. Likewise, no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins are ruined. Rather, new wine is poured into fresh wineskins.”
“What does this mean? That He changes the law? No! That the law is at the service of man, who is at the service of God – and so man ought to have an open heart. ‘It’s always been done this way’ is a closed heart, and Jesus tells us, ‘I will send you the Holy Spirit and He will lead you into the fullness of truth.’ If you have a heart closed to the newness of the Spirit, you will never reach the full truth. And your Christian life will be a half-and-half life, a patched life, mended with new things, but on a structure that is not open to the voice of the Lord—a closed heart, so that you are not able to change others.”
This, the Pope emphasized, was the sin of Saul, for which he was rejected. “It is the sin of so many Christians who cling to what has always been done and who do not allow others to change. And they end up with half a life, [a life that is] patched, mended, meaningless.” The sin, he said, “is a closed heart,” that “does not hear the voice of the Lord, that is not open to the newness of the Lord, to the Spirit that always surprises us.” This rebellion, says Samuel, is “the sin of divination,” and obstinacy is the sin of idolatry:
“Christians who obstinately maintain ‘it’s always been done this way,' this is the path, this is the street—they sin: the sin of divination. It’s as if they went about by guessing: ‘What has been said and what doesn’t change is what’s important; what I hear—from myself and my closed heart—more than the Word of the Lord.’ Obstinacy is also the sin of idolatry: the Christian who is obstinate sins! The sin of idolatry. ‘And what is the way, Father?’ Open the heart to the Holy Spirit, discern what is the will of God.”
Pope Francis noted that in Jesus’ time, good Israelites were in the habit of fasting. “But there is another reality,” he said. “There is the Holy Spirit who leads us into the full truth. And for this reason he needs an open heart, a heart that will not stubbornly remain in the sin of idolatry of oneself,” imagining that my own opinion is more important than the surprise of the Holy Spirit.
“This is the message the Church gives us today. This is what Jesus says so forcefully: ‘New wine in new wineskins.’ Habits must be renewed in the newness of the Spirit, in the surprises of God. May the Lord grant us the grace of an open heart, of a heart open to the voice of the Spirit, which knows how to discern what should not change, because it is fundamental, from what should change in order to be able to receive the newness of the Spirit.”

Martin Luther was an evil devil; any Catholic Prelate that says otherwise is a liar.

The title says my thought for the day.

And just to annoy my special friend; here is Luther again, in Hell.

Cardinal Zen calls out Francis, Parolin and the whole Vatican for the betrayal of the Catholic Church in China! "Would our diplomats advise Joseph to go and humbly beg for dialogue with Herod!?"

Communist appointed bishop in 2010
Last March 2015, I wrote about what I see as a sell-out by the Vatican of the faithful Catholics of China, the real Bishops and the great Martyrs against Communism. It is a reminder of the Ostpolitik of John XXIII and Paul VI which sold out the great Cardinals Mindzenty and Slipyj and millions of others behind the old Iron Curtain.

I have reposted the article one below this and a post from the great Cardinal Zen, Emeritus of Hong Kong. It is a wake-up call for these Romans who would cede to the atheistic communists the authority to suggest bishops with the Pope becoming no more than a rubber stamp.

This papacy and the malefactors behind it must be called out for this betrayal of the Church in China and the tens of thousands of faithful who endure the persecution as well as the faithful bishops and priests who minister to them and are persecuted for the Faith.

They will pay dearly in eternity for this crime.

What will 2016 bring the Church in China
by Cardinal Joseph Zen Zi-kiun

I have not spoken about the Church in China on my blog for some time now. Certainly not because I am too busy to do so (busy as I may be, I will never lose interest of our Church in China), not because I fear criticism of my ideas (at my age I have nothing to gain or lose).

No, the problem is that I'd like to give some good news, but, as you will note, my fate is that of the prophet Jeremiah. I have searched at length for some good news, but have found none. I realise that during this season of Christmas and the New Year, my complaints are somewhat “extra chorum", but I cannot be a dog without a bark.

A.

I remember that at the beginning of last year the newspaper Wen Wei Po announced jubilantly that "relations between China and the Vatican will soon have a good development." Soon after, the Vatican Secretary of State said that "the prospects are promising, there is a desire for dialogue on both sides." I had my doubts about this unexpected wave of optimism, I saw no basis for this optimism. More than a thousand crosses were removed from the top of the churches (in some cases the churches themselves have been destroyed). After so long, we can no longer delude ourselves that this was anything beyond an episode of some local official’s exaggerated zeal. Several seminaries have been closed. Students of the National Seminary in Beijing were forced to sign a declaration of loyalty to the Independent Church, promising also to concelebrate with illegitimate bishops (otherwise they would not receive a diploma at the end of their studies). The Government is continuously strengthening a church that now objectively is already separated from the universal Catholic Church; with enticements and threats they induce the clergy to perform acts contrary to the doctrine and discipline of the Church, denying their conscience and their dignity.

B.

In the latter half of 2015, there were some promising events which however failed to live up to expectations. Bishop Wu Qin-jing of Zhouzhi, ten years after his episcopal ordination, was finally installed as bishop, but has yet to pay the price of a compromise (see my blog of 14 July 2015).

Shortly after, Bishop Zhang Yinlin Anyang was ordained. Even some usually cautious Catholic media rejoiced saying that everything had gone well. They pointed out that this ordination is the first after the last three years of contacts between Rome and Beijing, and also the first in Pope Francis’ pontificate, presenting the event as a good start.

It is this last statement that scares me, because the process included a "democratic election", the reading of a "decree of appointment by the (so-called) Episcopal Conference of China" and the canonically un-clear position of a consecrating bishop . A similarly abnormal process took place three years ago, does it deserve our rejoicing? (See my blog of 7 September 2015).

C.

In October comes the big news: A Vatican delegation was in Beijing, there was a meeting. The Holy See gave no news of it. Father Heyndrickx Jeroom broke the news (of course he knows everything). He says: "They did not discuss sensitive issues like Bishop Su Zhimin of Baoding still in detention, or such as Bishop Ma Daqin of Shanghai to house arrest for more than three years (but these problems should be resolved before any negotiations? Otherwise Obviously there is goodwill on the part of Beijing). They focused on the issue of appointing bishops (of which model? Like with Anyang?). After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to Bishop Li Shan of Beijing and the National Seminary where they met with Ma Ying Lin (Father Heyndrickx said that these are signs of goodwill on the part of Beijing, I think instead that they were acts of homage imposed by Beijing)".

Later the Vatican Secretary of State also confirmed that there was a meeting and that it was "very positive" and this "would be part of a process that will hopefully end with an agreement." Pressed by some journalists as to whether there was real progress, Cardinal Parolin responded: "The fact that we speak is already positive." It seems that there is no agreement in sight as of yet.

D.

So what is the formula now under discussion for the appointment of bishops? As an old Cardinal out on the peripheries, I have no way of knowing, let alone guessing.

A recent article "A winter of darkness for religions in China" by Bernardo Cervellera on AsiaNews, says: "From information that has arrived from China it would seem that Beijing’s proposal is limited to complete recognition by the Holy See for all official bishops (even illegitimate and excommunicated bishops), without any mention of the unofficial bishops and those in prison; Vatican approval of the government recognized Council of Bishops, which excludes underground bishops; approval of the competency of this Council (and not the Pope) in the appointment of new candidates to the episcopacy who will be "democratically" elected (in short according to the suggestions of the Patriotic Association). The Holy See must approve the Council’s appointment and has a weak veto only in "severe" cases, which must be justified if used. If the Holy See’s justifications are considered "insufficient", the Council of Bishops may decide to proceed anyway".

If this information is accurate, can the Holy See accept the claims of the Chinese counterpart? Does this approach still respect the true authority of the Pope to appoint bishops? Can the Pope can sign such an agreement? (Pope Benedict said: "The authority of the Pope to appoint bishops is given to the church by its founder Jesus Christ, it is not the property of the Pope, neither can the Pope give it to others").

Do our officials in Rome know what an election is in China? Do they know that the so-called Episcopal Conference is not only illegitimate, but simply does not exist? What exists is an organism that is called "One Association and One Conference", namely the Patriotic Association and the Bishops' Conference always work together as one body, which is always chaired by government officials (there are pictures to prove it, the Government does not even try more to keep up appearances, it starkly flaunts the fact that they now manage religion!). Signing such an agreement means the authority to appoint bishops delivering into the hands of an atheist government.

This scheme is often compared to a (poorly defined) Model Vietnamese, but it is much worse. The Vietnamese model is based on an initiative that began with the Church in Vietnam, the true Catholic Church in Vietnam. In China on the other hand, the so-called Association and Conference hide the reality that it is the Government calling the shots.

Even in Eastern Europe of the past, such as in Poland and Czechoslovakia, it was the Church that took the initiative and then gave the Government veto power. In doing so, even if the government vetos a proposal for the hundredth time, it is still the Church that presents a candidate and makes the appointment. If the Government insists on a veto, it will only prolong the impasse, and it will still allow the Church time to look for a suitable candidate. But it is unthinkable to leave the initial proposal in the hands of an atheist Government who cannot possible judge the suitability of a candidate to be a bishop. Obviously, if the Church gives in to pressure from the government, the only result – despite proclamations to the contrary – is that it will have sold out the pontifical right to appoint bishops. Can this happen? According to an article written by a certain András Fejerdy: "For pastoral reasons - that is, because the full administration of the sacraments requires completely consecrated bishops - the Holy See believed that the completion of the Hungarian Bishops' Conference was so urgent that it accepted a solution that formally did not upset the canonical principle of free appointment, but that in practice gave the regime a decisive influence in choosing the candidates”.

UCAN News reports recent news from Chengdu (Sichuan): "Shortly after the visit of the Vatican delegation to Beijing, the Holy See approved the episcopal candidate elected in May 2014". Is this also a case of "not upsetting the canonical principle of free appointment, but …in practice giving the regime a decisive influence in choosing the candidates "?

E.

It is said that dialogue focused on the issue of the appointment of bishops, but there are many other pending problems, when and how will they be resolved?

The aforementioned AsiaNews article stated, again based on information received from China: "Beijing (demands) the Holy See’s recognition of all the official bishops, even the illegitimate and excommunicated ones." I wonder: is it only the government that makes these demands, without repentance of those concerned? Will the excommunicated only be released from excommunication or even recognized as bishops? Even without any act of repentance? Has the mercy of God come to this? Will the faithful be obliged to obey these bishops?

So much remains to be resolved.

Illegitimate bishops who have been excommunicated have abused the sacramental power (including ordination of deacons and priests) and judicial (assigning offices) and the Holy See seems to be without rebuke for them.

Legitimate bishops who participated in illegitimate episcopal ordinations, one, two, even three, four times, without ever having asked for forgiveness, or having received forgiveness from the Holy Father. Also those who took part in the so-called Assembly of Representatives of Chinese Catholics (the clearest symbol of a schismatic church).

Shortly after the Vatican delegation’s journey to Beijing began, the government organized a large gathering of Church leaders, forcing on that occasion a celebration of all the bishops, legitimate, illegitimate and excommunicated. These are all objectively schismatic acts. The government now can string along a large number of bishops, resulting in an irrecoverable loss of dignity. If the Holy See signed some agreement with the Government without clarifying all these things, it will cause a severe wound to the conscience of the faithful.

F.

Obviously our underground communities are non-existent for the Government. But now is even the Vatican ignoring them in negotiations, to appease their Chinese counterparts? To "save the day" will we abandon our brothers and sisters? But they are the healthy limbs of the Church! (Of course, they too have their problems, especially when dioceses remain without bishops, which can only lead to disorder). Is silencing the underground community to please the government not a form of suicide?

In the recent negotiations there has been no mention of the case of Msgr. James Su Zhimin in prison for 20 years. Nor of Msgr. Thaddeus Ma Daqin of Shanghai under house arrest for more than three years because these issues have been deemed "too sensitive"!?

In early September, some of the Shanghai faithful who were in prison for a long time, along with their relatives, went on a pilgrimage to Rome to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the outbreak of the great persecution on September 8, 1955. The understanding was: "Do not make any noise, the past is past, we have to look forward"!?

On a diplomatic level, the underground communities are the ace in the Holy See’s deck; if we amputate these limbs, what have we left in diplomatic standings to induce the other party to agree to our terms? By now, the government controls nearly all the official communities, while the underground communities are kept at bay by the Holy See. What do they still need so come to terms? They only need the signature of the Holy Father, a blessing, for this "Chinese Church." Beijing has no intention of negotiating, only making demands. After such a signature they will oblige the faithful of the underground community to come out and surrender to those who were illegitimate bishops for a long time, maybe even excommunicated, but now, with a clean slate, without even showing any repentance, leaning only on the Government for their legitimacy, have become bishops in their own right.

G.

What makes me restless is the sight of our Eminent Secretary of State still intoxicated by the miracles of Ostpolitik. In a speech last year, at a Memorial for Card. Casaroli, he praised the success of its predecessor in having secured the existence of the Church hierarchy in the communist countries of Eastern Europe. He says: "In choosing candidates for the episcopate, we choose shepherds and not people who systematically oppose the regime, people who behave like gladiators, people who love to grandstand on the political stage." I wonder: Who had he in mind while making this description? I fear that he was thinking of a Cardinal Wyszynski, a Cardinal Mindszenty, a Cardinal Beran. But these are the heroes who bravely defended the faith of their people! It terrifies me to think this way and I sincerely hope that I am wrong.

On the day that an agreement is signed with China there will be peace and joy, but do not expect me to participate in the celebrations of the beginning of this new Church. I disappear, I will start a monastic life to pray and do penance. I will ask the forgiveness of Pope Benedict for not being able to do what he was hoping that I could I do. I will ask Pope Francis to forgive this old Cardinal from the peripheries for disturbing him with so many inappropriate letters.

The innocent children were killed, the angel told Joseph to take Mary and the Child and flee to safety. But today would our diplomats advise Joseph to go and humbly beg for dialogue with Herod!?

P.S.

Please let it not be said that I believe the only line is that of either or, of “official or unofficial”. The vast majority of the clergy and lay people who belong to the official community are faithful to the authority of the Holy Father. Many are suffering enormously because of the abnormal situation of their Church, they are saddened by the weakness or lack of rectitude of their pastors, sometimes they even try to prevent them from falling further. In many cases a united clergy and a faithful people can defend their pastor from further bullying from the Authorities.
