CFN Reports: A Former High-Ranking Member of the Roman Curia Criticizes Pope Francis for his Vanity and Populism

A Former High-Ranking Member of the Roman Curia Criticizes Pope Francis for his Vanity and Populism
By Maike Hicksonposted at www.cfnews.org
In the German-speaking countries of Europe (including Austria and Switzerland), an anonymous letter by a former Curial Member has been widely reported on, among others by the website of the Swiss Bishops, kath.ch, and by a prominent conservative Austrian website, Kath.net. The well-known German magazine FOCUS
published on November 27  an anonymous open letter to Pope Francis, written with earnestness by a former member of the Roman Curia who rebukes the pontiff for his deficient leadership and character flaws.

God is my Father, Mary and the Church are my Mother

Considering the latest from Pope Francis, I am reminded of the balderised words in Catholic Book of Worship III approved by child pornography aficionado and former Bishop of Antigonish Raymond Lahey." Fatherlike, God gently bears us, well our feeble frame God knows. Motherlike, God gently bears us, rescues us from all our woes."

In the thirteenth chapter of the Gospel of St. Luke at verse thirty-four Jesus addresses the holy city with:
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often have I desired to gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!
We have the medieval symbol as St. Thomas Aquinas reminds us in Adore te devote, "Pie pelicane, Jesu Domine." The icon of the ancient myth of a pelican piercing its breast to feed its blood to her chicks was a medieval symbol of Christ as shown on this icon of St. Pio of Pietrelcina.

These do not mean that God is our mother. There are also those who believe that the Holy Spirit is the feminine of God and that Mary usurped the role.

To refer to God as "mother" whom Jesus only referred to as Father is simply wrong. I highly recommend you read Rorate Caeli's post because I am just too gobsmacked and dumbfounded to write anything reasonably coherent.

Perhaps, he's been reading Swami Ranganathananda.

And speaking of the feminine.

“What a tragedy: how many souls are being shut out of heaven and falling into hell, thanks to you!” St. Francis Xavier

A few weeks ago, Jorge Bergoglio the Bishop of Rome said to a gathering of Catholic teachers in Rome:
One cannot speak of Catholic education without speaking of humanity, because, precisely, the Catholic identity is God who became man. To go forward in attitudes, in full human values, opens the door to the Christian seed. Then faith comes. To educate in a Christian way is not only to engage in catechesis: this is one part. It is not only engaging in proselytism—never proselytize in schools! Never!
In his audience yesterday, he stated:
The pope appealed to all young people, calling on them to reflect on their vocation and "to not exclude the possibility of becoming a missionary" and to preach with their lives, not by proselytizing.
"Those who are looking for something else are the ones that (proselytize)," he said. "Faith is preached first through witness then with words -- but slowly."

We can add this to his previous statements to Scalfari, publisher of La Repubblica, the only newspaper he allegedly reads, that "proselytizing is solemn nonsense."
When Catholics help the poor as the example he gave in Africa, they do it because they are Catholic not because the people in need are. In Toronto, the hospital that does the most caring and research for people with AIDS is St. Michael's Hospital, founded by the once great and mighty Sisters of St. Joseph. All people are helped, not just Catholics. Nobody has to right a test to receive help from a Catholic charity, Where does he get this idea?

Today is the Feast of St. Francis Xavier, the "second Apostle" to India after St. Thomas the Apostle. When one sees the situation with our Jesuit Pope, and other media talking head and twitterati Jesuits, it is a far cry from the spirit of Francis and Ignatius and Jean de Brebeuf and Isaac Jogues and companions or Paul Miki, these great Saints of God. I wonder what they would think of the above. Oh for Jesuits such as these.

What follows is from Matins today.

Third Reading from Matins according to the 1961 Divine Office:
Francis was born of noble family at Xavier in the diocese of Pamplona. In Paris, he joined the companions and disciples of St. Ignatius, and in a short time became a shining example of austerity of life and untiring contemplation of divine things. Paul III made him apostolic nuncio to India, and he traveled about through countless provinces, always on foot and often barefoot. He brought the faith to Japan and six other regions. In India he converted many hundreds of thousands to Christianity, cleansing many princes and kings in the holy waters of baptism. His humility was so great that, when he wrote to St. Ignatius, his general, he always did so on his knees. By many and wonderful miracles, the Lord confirmed his zealous work in spreading the Gospel. Finally, on the Chinese island of Sancian, he died on the 2nd of December, rich in merits and worn out with his labors. Gregory XV enrolled him among the Saints, and Pius X, appointed him the heavenly patron of the Society of the Propagation of the Faith and of its work.
The Second Reading from the Liturgy of the Hours
A letter from St Francis Xavier to St Ignatius
Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel
We have visited the villages of the new converts who accepted the Christian religion a few years ago. No Portuguese live here, the country is so utterly barren and poor. The native Christians have no priests. They know only that they are Christians. There is nobody to say Mass for them; nobody to teach them the Creed, the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Commandments of God’s Law.
I have not stopped since the day I arrived. I conscientiously made the rounds of the villages. I bathed in the sacred waters all the children who had not yet been baptized. This means that I have purified a very large number of children so young that, as the saying goes, they could not tell their right hand from their left. The older children would not let me say my Office or eat or sleep until I taught them one prayer or another. Then I began to understand: “The kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
I could not refuse so devout a request without failing in devotion myself. I taught them, first the confession of faith in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, then the Apostles’ Creed, the Our Father and Hail Mary. I noticed among them persons of great intelligence. If only someone could educate them in the Christian way of life, I have no doubt that they would make excellent Christians.
Many, many people hereabouts are not becoming Christians for one reason only: there is nobody to make them Christians. Again and again I have thought of going round the universities of Europe, especially Paris, and everywhere crying out like a madman, riveting the attention of those with more learning than charity: “What a tragedy: how many souls are being shut out of heaven and falling into hell, thanks to you!”
I wish they would work as hard at this as they do at their books, and so settle their account with God for their learning and the talents entrusted to them.
This thought would certainly stir most of them to meditate on spiritual realities, to listen actively to what God is saying to them. They would forget their own desires, their human affairs, and give themselves over entirely to God’s will and his choice. They would cry out with all their heart: Lord, I am here! What do you want me to do? Send me anywhere you like – even to India.

St. Francis Xavier, pray for us, interceded for the Church.

Bishop Schneider denounces Gnostic clergy - calls them LIARS and SOPHISTS!

Image result for bishop schneider
Bishop Athanasius Schneider has denounced "gnostic clergy" who have been proffering that doctrine and pastoral practice can be separated and are essentially sentimentalists, abusing true mercy and compassion. In a talk published by Edward Pentin and given at the Lepanto Foundation, the Bishop said that:
When clergy stand up for the admittance of divorced and civilly remarried Catholics to Holy Communion, they in fact solemnize their adultery and their sin against the Sixth Commandment. They give to such faithful the message that their divorce and the continuous violation of their sacramental bonds can become ultimately a positive reality. In other words, such clergy are liars.
No Catholic who still takes seriously his baptismal vows should allow himself to be intimidated by these new sophistic teachers of fornication and adultery, even though — sad to say — these teachers hold the office of a bishop or cardinal.
We well remember this quote originally written by Richard Gaillardetz and used repeatedly in speeches and on videos by Thomas Rosica without attribution to the writer:
"Doctrine changes when pastoral contexts shift and new insights emerge such that particularly doctrinal formulations no longer mediate the saving message of God's transforming love?" Does he mean that "Doctrine changes when the Church has leaders and teachers who are not afraid to take note of new contexts and emerging insights?" Or does he mean that, "It changes when the Church has pastors who do what Francis has been insisting: leave the securities of your chanceries, of your rectories, of your safe places, of your episcopal residences go set aside the small minded rules that often keep you locked up and shielded from the world?"
Cardinal Burke and Bishop Schneider have been ceaseless in standing up for the truth of the Catholic faith in the face of those who would attempt to undermine the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ with flippant comments such as "It is my church."

Where are the rest?

Cardinal Burke rebukes Pope Francis advisor Jesuit Anthony Spadaro

Raymond Cardinal Burke has written a commentary in the National Catholic Register rebuking the writing of Anthony Spadaro, S.J. and his assertion that the Synod has approved through the "internal forum," Holy Communion for adulterers.

God bless Cardinal Burke!

The Truth About the 14th Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops?

COMMENTARY

In the Nov. 28 issue of La Civiltà Cattolica, Jesuit Father Antonio Spadaro, director of the journal and a synod father, presents a summary of the work of the 14th Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, dedicated to the vocation and mission of the family (pp. 372-391).

Although the author makes various affirmations about the nature and work of the Synod of Bishops, which demand critical comment in a longer study, one affirmation which necessitates immediate comment is summarized thus by the author:
The synod has also desired to touch wounded persons and couples to accompany them and heal them in a process of integration and reconciliation without barriers. Concerning access to the sacraments for those divorced and remarried civilly, the synod has formulated the way of discernment and of the “internal forum,” laying the foundations and opening a door which, on the contrary, had remained closed in the preceding synod.

Is there an "absolute truth" and if so, who or what is it?

I want to address once again the disgraceful words of the Pope whilst on his way back from Africa, for they are so deeply upsetting. Never have we heard a Pope speak so ill of the Catholic faithful. Sadly, it is not the first time that his words have been cruel and vicious.

Forced to defend himself and the good name of LifeSiteNews being accused of using a "faulty translation" or not putting the Pope's words "in context" John-Henry Westen is one step ahead, as usual. Visiting this link will take you to the Pope's words with the Vatican's official translation and words translated by LifeSiteNews not put in the "official" translation but clearly said by the Pope. He seems agitated in the video.

To you in the Vatican whomever you all are, because I know you come here and some days multiple times. Do you hate the Pope that you do not bring to him these concerns so that he will continue to disgrace himself and the Church? Do you not want him to know how he hurts people and secretly hope he will not change? Is it totally out of control that there is nothing you can do? Are you as disturbed by the words of this man as us?

Will no bishop or cardinal there have the courage to tell him to his face what he is doing? At what point do we, the faithful, demand to the bishops and cardinals that they intervene directly and decisively? I suspect it will come soon, with his apostolic exhortation on the recent Synod. Expect the worst, he has already hinted at it. Bishops and Cardinal be forewarned. if you fail to act, you will be judged by God and man and held accountable in history and eternity.

Let us look again at what he said:

"Fundamentalism is a sickness that is in all religions. We Catholics have some -- and not some, many -- who believe in the absolute truth and go ahead dirtying the other with calumny, with disinformation, and doing evil. They do evil. I say this because it is my church."

Does he mean that some who believe in "absolute truth" are sinners and sometimes calumniate? I'll give him that, we're all sinners and notwithstanding the fact we believe, we sin.

Is he questioning whether or not there is "absolute truth?"

If a Muslim is a fundamentalist he cuts off peoples heads and blows up marketplaces. If a Catholic is a fundamentalist, she prays the rosary and wears a scapular, goes to Mass at least once a week and Confession frequently.

What is Pope Francis trying to say?

We can only shake our heads and pray for him; but I tell you, I thought it was bad enough to invite a follower of the pervert, thief, warlord and liar Mahomet in to the Vatican gardens to pray to his false god, but to bow down and pray to the Kabaa is beyond an abomination. I would not want to be him after praying to the Kabaa by facing Mecca; nor would I want to be anywhere near him. God will not be mocked.

There is "absolute truth" and his name is Jesus Christ, for He said:

"I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father, except by Me."

Sounds pretty absolute to me.

Others are noticing, why does Pope Bergoglio not genuflect before God?

Image result for pope francis jewish leaderThe first time I saw Pope Francis celebrate Mass was the day after his election from the Sistine Chapel on EWTN. I gasped when after the elevation of the Body and then again at the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, he bowed and did not genuflect. Okay, maybe he has a physical problem. Yet, he did it again and again. Then we saw him, that first regrettable Holy Thursday, grovel on the floor to wash the feet of laity, Catholic and heathen, male and female.

Yet, he bows before Jewish leaders. He bows before Schismatic Patriarchs, he now has bowed to the Kabah in Mecca.

Image result for pope francis washes feetImage result for pope francis bows to jewAntonio Socci now reveals, as published at Rorate, that he did not kneel in prayer as customary upon the opening of the Holy Door whilst in Africa. We note that in his frailty and pain a few years before his death, John Paul II did kneel and did genuflect. He humbly submitted himself to be assisted in this process by those around him.

What can we draw from this?

Why does the Bishop of Rome acknowledge the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ, "'tis God, the very God" in the same way as he acknowledges men or the false god of Mahomet or bows before sodomitical and homosexualist advocating priests or to in a questionable "charismatic" charade that borders on protestantism?

Image result for pope bows at massThis is not a matter of "hating the Pope" or "hating Francis." I don't hate the Pope, I don't hate Jorge Bergoglio. I hate what he is doing. I hate that he does not speak with clarity but confusion. I hate that he gives credence to heresiarchs and condemns faithful Catholics as "fundamentalist" as if that is a bad thing which it must be because he says they are "evil." I hate his insults and what appears to be an embarrassment of all things Catholic. I detest his actions in every one of those pictures, the bowing before men in some false humility. I despise his failure to genuflect after the elevation giving adoration and acknowledgement to the Lord's Presence. As with the dispensing of rubrics on Holy Thursday, what kind of example does that set?

Clearly, there is no problem with his ability to kneel and bow as can be seen with these pictures.

He may call me a "calumniator" but as the then, not Saint, Peter Damian called out the corruption of his day, even in letters to the Pope himself, we must do the same.

To say that as laymen and laywoman we have no right to speak up and express our concerns is a clericalist lie.

Why did Pope Francis hide the truth about the Ugandan Martyrs?

Pete Balinski of LifeSiteNews asks; "Did anyone notice that during Pope Francis’ trip to Africa in which he commemorated the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Canonization of the 22 Ugandan martyrs, not once did he mention — or even hint — that their deaths were occasioned by their refusal to indulge the king in his request for homosexual relations?"

The Pope did not mention why these Saints were martyred. Our Twitterati homosexualist clerics made it abundantly clear that there was a homosexualist agenda on the mind of Bergoglio in Uganda.

This is an interference into the internal affairs of Uganda who know well what evil comes from men who engage in sexual perversions that entrap their souls in the grasp of Satan and destroy societies.

These sodomite priests, bishops and cardinals must be outed.

Someone hide the Grappa from Pope Francis

Just one more because this is just too rich. The Pope's interview on the plane just gets better and better, or worse and worse depending on how we look at it.

When asked about condom use to stop the spread of AIDS and the Church changing its teaching, Pope Bergoglio said:
The question seems biased to me. Yes, it is one of the methods, the morality of the Church faces a bit of a predicament here. The fifth or the sixth commandment: defend life or a sexual relationship that is pen to life. But this is not the problem. There is a greater problem than this: this question makes me think of the question they once asked Jesus: tell me Master, is it acceptable to heal on a Saturday? Healing is obligatory! Malnutrition, exploitation, slave labour, the lack of drinking water, these are the problems. We’re not talking about which plaster we should use for which wound. The great injustice is social injustice, the great injustice is malnutrition. I don’t like making such casuistic reflections when there are people dying because of a lack of water and hunger. Think about arms trafficking. When these problems cease to exist, then I think we can ask ourselves the question: is it acceptable to heal on a Saturday? Why are arms still being manufactured? Wars are the leading cause of death. Forget about whether it is acceptable or not to heal on the Sabbath. Make justice and when everyone is healed, when there is no injustice in this world, then we can talk about Sabbath.
Did Pope Bergoglio just approve the use of condoms?

Someone hide the Grappa.
