I prefer to move on and let them deal with it, as you so correctly state.

Keep up your fantastic work and challenge those who question but don't wait around for the answer.

George

George Onoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-7330811188101550652012-11-15T10:36:41.974-05:002012-11-15T10:36:41.974-05:00While we're at it can we ban cedar and sandlew...While we're at it can we ban cedar and sandlewood from being used in furniture and their extracts from perfumes because I am horribly allergic to them. It has taken the brighter side of the Gospel,—its tidings of comfort, its precepts of love; all darker, deeper views of man's condition and prospects being comparatively forgotten. This is the religion natural to a civilized age, and well has Satan dressed and completed it into an idol of the Truth. As the reason is cultivated, the taste formed, the affections and sentiments refined, a general decency and grace will of course spread over the face of society, quite independently of the influence of Revelation. It was New...Excellent and thought provoking post.

It was Newman who wrote that each age had it own special "heresy" within Christianity. One strange phenomenon he saw was the devil pushing "niceness". We always have to be nice, polite etc. As such, the minor sin/vulgarity of "fuddle -duddle" is transformed in our sub-culture of superficial niceness to a major, grotesque "mortal" sin... whilst real sins such as: traditional Mass goers coming our of church on a Sunday and marching straight into the grocery store to shop is now downgraded from sin and scandal to "personal convenience" etc.etc.

Baronahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06265555388172261643noreply@blogger.com
