My note and expressions to him were indeed intended as holy and righteous. Without defenders of the faith and other bloggers like you, I would feel alone (no doubt). That said, please keep the faith.

If you feel up to it, it would be good to see, and perhaps for others to see, his response to you.

In Christ,

VA
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15501388446960776084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-2011765520173325342015-10-13T08:49:01.627-04:002015-10-13T08:49:01.627-04:00Dear Veritas Augustine,

There was emotion, which is not a sin, anger, which if holy and righteous is not a sin. You used no profanity, you did not wish him dead. You expressed the frustration of myself and other commenters here and he responded.

Yes, it was him, trust me.

My first contact with him (after minor contact around 2000) was in 2011 as I wrote a similar letter to the same address. I received a similar but even nastier response.

Maybe I should publish it.Vox Cantorishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16987049370515084083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-68900634759765441292015-10-13T08:18:55.905-04:002015-10-13T08:18:55.905-04:00Dear Anonymous,

Please keep in mind this priest chooses to be a celebrity of sorts (i.e. yucking it up on the Steven Colbert show, etc.) Perhaps, it was a time for this priest to instruct me as to why I was in sin and in his mind in need of confession? I certainly, as a man that desires the truth in teaching more than anything, would have welcomed his guidance. And, I don't believe there is anything in Canon Law or Church teaching (unless Vox could provide some guidance...I am sincerely open to it) that tells us we must not ever say anything to a prelate of any kind. In my opinion, one of the reasons that this non-sense of the "feminization" of attitudes today is that, men and women (not all...but most) are afraid to say a word. And, I am just not sure why. After all, as I heard a priest say recently, if something other than what has already been revealed and taught as truth by the Church (which it has), we have no other duty then but to resist! Error has no rights. I do of course believe the Bible as another instrument of God's truth: Matthew 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves".....Also, read Galations 1:6-9 Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15501388446960776084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-36156782385204523442015-10-13T00:33:03.828-04:002015-10-13T00:33:03.828-04:00Although people who call themselves Catholics semi...Although people who call themselves Catholics semi-agree to disagree with each other in the aggiornamento - only Christ and His Bride are right. I say phoney because I doubt he had VA in his Mass intentions. Had Fr. Rosica really had VA's spiritual well-being in heart, he would have directed him to someone who could help him with his "writing," "thinking," and "beliefs." To my mind, this someone would have been a solid Catholic priest. Am I the only one that finds it odd that Fr. Rosica didn't give him any such reference after taking the time to write back?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-63927722567528051852015-10-12T23:15:20.936-04:002015-10-12T23:15:20.936-04:00This coming from a man who claims that the "L...This coming from a man who claims that the "Love the sinner, hate the sin" won't cut it any more, as in the case of sodomites the sinner's supposed sin is his very identity. He sends others to confession, as though he knew right from wrong - or cared to know. Same could be said about compulsive serial killers or pedophiles. Weirdly, it seems to only come from "liberals", who as far as I can tell, don't think very much of confession anyway.
