Conrad Saldhana, Archdiocese of Bombay, India, regarding the Washing of the Feet on Holy Thursday. Given this letter, he may not be there for long, and may be sent "packing"...he is now included in my daily prayers.

Full link below the excerpt:

"The Pope as head of the Church has every right to change the rubric of the Church. Thus the head of the Congregation for liturgy could be a sitting duck or a mere onlooker if the Pope seeks to over throw every genuine tradition handed down to us through the liturgy.

But in the washing of the feet ritual on Maundy Thursday no man born of a woman has the right to change what Christ has decreed to his holy apostles, in a Canonical Scripture text, not even a self-styled super Pope; even if made super by playing to the galleries under a full media glare.

It is not mere rubrics, which has been changed, as some tend to argue, but a Canonical scripture whose interpretation is now up for grabs, more so in our times when it needs to be upheld, especially by every man in the red skull cap and the white one, who are supposed to Lord and Teach in a humble spirit. The ones in the red are even called to martyrdom in upholding the faith of Christ, as proved by the many who received the mandate before them.

The Pope, on the other hand, seems to be scoring a brownie point with the aid of the media, communicating an indiscriminate idea of service to the world. The secular world has lapped it all up.

Let’s understand the mind of Jesus concerning this noble service:"

Read the rest here - the post is entitled heresy and apostasy

https://frconrad.wordpress.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-90127505965692454552016-03-20T15:37:46.870-04:002016-03-20T15:37:46.870-04:00Do you have a link for that website? We will have a feast of ambiguity and everything will go back to the way it was. Catholics will be Catholics and heretics will continue going down the road to.....

On the bright side, and there always is a bright side, is that the Law of Unintended Consequences is a work. One of the unintended consequences of the Francis pontificate is that it has forced us Catholics to go back to the basics and become reacquainted with the treasure that He and countless generations have provided for us. What is of greater importance, is that we see a groundswell of Catholicism coming from some very unexpected places. The one that has me jumping for joy is the effort by the Spanish clerics who produce the Denzinger-Bergolio website. From what I can tell, it appears as if the loyal sons of the Catholic Church and heir apparent's to the Holy Inquisition legacy have not disappointed. As I read this website, I get the sense that they are preparing an "indictment" against Francis for the "immanent" council that must judge his heresy. I like to refer to this council as the "Council of Econe".

So in this season of His Passion and the Passion of His Church, we must fast and pray and always be cognizant that the gates of Hell shall not prevail and know that His sacrifice was not in vane.

A quiet and peaceful Holy Week and Easter...

S.Armaticus S. His Holiness has time and again upheld and promoted the Church's teachings on the family. Therefore, there isn't any reason to believe that Pope Francis would undermine the family via his Apostolic Exhortation.

Vox-permitting, I urge my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ to go to the following link:

http://www.familiam.org/famiglia_eng/church/00011935_The_Family_According_to_Pope_Francis.html

You will find from December 17, 2014 A.D. to September 16, 2015 A.D., 27 General Audience addresses on the family. Pope Francis began with the model of the Catholic family, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

From there, Pope Francis discussed the God-given roles proper to men and women...he discussed children, grandparents, marriage, family and siblings, family and the elderly, family and illness, family and death, family and the father, family and the father, family and prayer.

It is unimaginable that His Holiness would have spent month, after month, after month defending and promoting the Church's ancient pro-family teachings only to undermine those teachings via his Apostolic Exhortation.

Please, let's remain serene as Pope Francis has been a staunch defender and promoter of the Catholic family.

Pax

Mark ThomasMark Thomasnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20981956.post-62860034205885536082016-03-20T13:39:58.258-04:002016-03-20T13:39:58.258-04:00at Guest
