God rest the soul of Charlie Kirk and bring his murderer(s) to Your Divine justice!

Eternal rest grant unto Charles Kirk, O LORD,

and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

The treatment of praise and worship artist, Sean Feucht, this past summer indicates how deep the prejudice is.

I am sorry to say that I do not entirely agree with your head-line. I am saddened by the death of Mr. Kirk in that it highlights the downward spiral of our society through the increase of deadly violence against those with whom we disagree. That being said, I cannot say that Charlie Kirk was a hero or a martyr. While he was a strong advocate for protecting the unborn, his rhetoric also promoted violence against others. Did he deserve to die this way? No, he did not. But let this death be a wake up call. If we cannot work out our differences without resorting to violence, then as a society we are doomed. May Charlie Kirk rest in peace, and may God have mercy on us all.

The part where I call on God to damn the murderer to Hell? No problem, nobody should be desired in Hell. I hope the monster repents and is saved. The whole point of Charlie was to talk, to engage. Blog on!

What specifically did Charlie Kirk say that "promoted violence? Not a thing. People who justify or excuse the evil done here or compare violence to words are a huge part of the problem and exactly why such horrific violence against the innocent is increasing. Evil is being abetted, Robert, and your attitude and words are a good example. You dont think hes a "hero"? Charlie Kirk gave his life for the gospel and for Christ. That makes him a martyr to many. He did more to help young people live godly lives in one week than you or I could do in a lifetime. One wonders who you would consider a "hero", Robert.
On second thought, never mind.

There are no heros in this situation. Mr. Kirk's language did tend towards violence. For example, his statement that a few gun deaths was worth keeping the 2nd Amendment. As for the shooter: his misguided way to dealing with whatever it was that he disagreed with is just a chilling example of how low American society has sunk. Rather than discuss rationally and logically with those whose opinions you disagree with, the first reaction seems to be to reach for your gun. All I can hope for is that both Mr. Kirk and his shooter are left to the justice and mercy of God.

Let me be frank. Your comment Charlie Kirk "didn't deserve it", reveals your mindset, and it's appalling. We keep hearing those words over and over, and what they reveal are minds that not only judged Charlie Kirk, and definitely feel he deserved something, but in their vaunted opinion just not to have his carotid shot out in front of thousands of now traumatized young people. How generous of you Robert! We can tell God he can sit back and rest, Robert has it all under control. He's going to judge men and decide what everybody "deserves". It may be in the sight of God even you may be surprised what you or anyone "deserves". Charlie Kirk died both hero and martyr. I have no idea what your earrhly contribution adds up to. I seriously doubt it equaled this man's. He uttered no violent rhetoric at all. He was a peaceful man who tried to talk and reason with people in a respectful way saying hard truths out of live. They killed him for that, Robert. Check your thinking. It's off.

Sorry, Robert, I didn't mean to sound so cranky with my comment. I'm pretty sad and upset about Charlie. It's just so awful. God rest his soul and bless you and all here. I just do think when people say someone didn't deserve something its minimizing whatever happened to them.

No offence taken. Perhaps I could have stated. my position more clearly, but I do stand by wha I said. Mr. Kirk did not deserve to die that way. The very horror and violence of his death: no one, absolutely no one deserves that. As for Tyler Robinson, I cannot bring myself to condemn him. I do not, will not, and cannot justify what he did. But, rather than a demoic person I see someone who is deeply, deeply troubled. Someone who has been seduced by the violent and extreme right-wing ideologies that are sweeping across the US. For Robinson, I pray that he can be like St. Paul and reach out to take the healing and loving hand of God that is being extended to take him out of the mire. So, I do ommend both of them to the justice and mercy of God. For Mr. Kirk, that his sould may find rest and peace. For Mr. Robinson, that he may find peace and healing to face and accept the consequences of his actions.

Robert, Really? Right-wing ideologies? Really? Which ones and what do you mean by "right wing."

Do you mean this writer? Do you mean the definition of fascism which is actually not right but another form of SOCIALISM? Shall I remind you? National SOCIALIST German Workers' Party-NAZI.

Bollocks. This is Marxist ideology of Christian-hate, transgenderism, transhumanism. This little demon, I won't say his name, deserves what he gets. I pray that he will repent and come to Christ, maybe his execution date will help that. But I doubt it.

May God bless Charlie.

May God judge the murderer(s).

Right-wing ideology. Bog off!

I am sorry that you have taken this position. You only show yourself to be an angry petty llittle man who goes on the attack if/when someone takes a diffent line than you. First, my last post was not even directed at you, it was addressed to Evangeline to clarify my position. As to Kirk and right-wing ideologies, he was a racist, an anti-semite, a mysoginist, and anti immigrant. So, definitely not a hero. I will still for the repose of his soul, but moreover I will pray for those known and unkown who have been harmed by his words. Btw, say hello to the Oratorians if they are willing to let you back in to their parish.

Yes, Robert, dear, you have revealed your entire orientation. Sad to say Charlie Kirk gave his life trying to find common ground with people in your camp and he was beutally murdered for the attempt. The most magnanimity we seem to be able to glean from the left is "he didnt deserve it". But that is too revealing, as I said earlier. It reveals a disrurbing lack of horror at the violence and evil done. It is an unhappy realization we are finding that with too many of our fellow Americans, we can find no common ground and the days of talking may be at an end because it is impossible to reason when such basic standards of decency are missing or have become so horribly distorted. What has been done is unspeakably demonic and evil. Shocking to find it minimized and excused. Anyone applauding has no soul, like the walking dead, we see we are surrounded by ghouls and zombies. Something is terribly wrong.
