Mobile option on Vox - is it still necessary?

The screen shot below shows one of the backroom pages to Blogger. It allows one to adjust how this blog loads, whether on a desktop or laptop computer or on a mobile device (right). In the era of BlackBerry and the tiny screen, the mobile device setting was important. I am wondering now if that is the case?

Checking StatCounter, I find that a good number of you are reading this blog from iPhone or Android devices.

Yesterday, a friend asked me why there were no links when looking at my blog on the phone. I showed them that one could scroll down and click on "view web version" and see the main view.

I also received a comment that one post showed up with black letters on a brown background. That post, on Oklahoma was a guest post and this was a formatting issue. Sometimes it is another colour and happens most often with copy/paste. The only way to avoid it, at least from what I know, is to paste it into a word document and then back in to blogger, but it takes time and has its own formatting issues.

Which brings me to my point. Is the "Mobile" setting still necessary?

If I remove this, can you function well with the regular page?

There is a little poll at the top of the blog.

Dear Vox - Please consider keeping the mobile option!
I don't always have my lappie with me and keep up to date with Vox Cantoris from my mobile. Thank you and God bless you from Eirene x

I should also mention that a mobile version is also helpful for anyone who may be using old browsers whether on PC or older mobile models that cannot upgrade to the latest versions, and hence the mobile version is a smaller load burden. It may not have all the links n the side but the content is accessible.

Dear Vox, please keep the mobile version since I use it 99% of the time accessing your blog.

Please keep the mobile version. The problem with text or background colours happened only a few times, not at all often and not very recently.
Keep up your good work and God Bless,

Vox, I voted for the bells and whistles, but I'm not in to the all the mobile gotta-haves, although many find it useful. Perhaps it would be better to keep that option. You are after all, an important part of the marginalized Catholic's life!
