“A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him, saying, 'You are mad; you are not like us.” ― St. Antony the Great

Rome's blasphemy confirmed by Pope Leo XIII
Barona provides his take on the Bishop of Rome's participation in the blasphemous video which you've read about in the two posts below and elsewhere, no doubt. He has there, a quote from Pope Leo XIII which defines the actions of these malefactors quite succinctly.

I followed your link to Barona's article.
I know I should have expected this, but still... When I read that some (probably millions) would still and do claim that the video doesn't promote the masonic religious indifferentism, I got very upset.
What gets to me the most is wilful blindness, not a difference of well-reasoned positions. With differences in opinions, if clearly articulated and reasoned, one has a hope for a final resolution of conflict by logical and honest pursuit of absolute truth.
Faced with blatant refusal by millions to see what is clearly in front of the eyes, a reasonable person can expect the worst persecution.
It is true - the patients are now running the insane asylum.
God, please hear our voices, see our struggles, help us be strong and help us keep our mental health until the end.
We been warned by Your Word that this would come. Lord, do not let us stray from the path of sanity at this hellish time. We will be and already are accused of the worst offences against peace, justice and love. We have no pope to defend us, for he is our accuser. Lord, keep our minds clear and our hearts pure in our love for You. I am afraid.
Looks to me this is unconsciously a video about white privilege. The pope is white and all these characters are white. Where is the diversity?! Everyone looks middle class, middle aged and middle brow. Heck these could be the very people sitting next to you at a N.O. mass in a nice liberal suburban parish! Sure there's a token hippie, but where is the real globalism!? Heaven help us, where is the black, the hispanic, the gay, the downtrodden, the poor in rags, the marginalized, the queer, the abortionist, etc! WHERE IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS SACRED to the UN and the Academia and the Church hierarchy... is the freaking SOLIDARITY!?
Darota you took the words out of my mouth
They took advantage of the Christmas season to replace the Crucifix with the baby Jesus doll ,they could not have passed that of at any other time of the year ,everything is well thought out and planned ,but God is ten steps ahead of them ,people have been forewarned for centuries about what to expect,Our Lady of Good Success ,Fatima ,and Akita all Church approved .God does not leave His people in the dark .
The persecution of the Mystical Body of Christ, which is the Catholic Church, is also well attested to by the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel which Pope Leo XIII promulgated on May 18, 1890, as part of a larger "Exorcism against Satan and the Apostate Angels":
O GLORIOUS ARCHANGEL St Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, defend us in battle, and in the struggle which is ours against the principalities and Powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against spirits of evil in high places. (Eph 6.) Come to the aid of men, whom God created immortal, made in his own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil. (Wis 2, 1 Cor 6.)
Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in Heaven. But that cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan, who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with all his angels. (Apoc 12.)
Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of man has taken
courage.Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of his Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity.
These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions.
In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.
Arise then, O invincible prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and bring them the victory.
The Church venerates thee as protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious powers of this world and of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude.
Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations.
Noteworthy in this prayer is that Pope Leo makes explicit reference to "the Holy Place ... where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world." There, he says, the diabolical enemies of the Church "have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered," which is an allusion to Zach 13:7 and Mt 26:31.
Is this not exactly what we have seen happen since the death of Pope Pius XII?
The Toronto Catholic Witness is using the same theology as Pope Francis and the liberal Curia. He is not aware of it.He is interpreting the Catechism (1992) with Cushingism instead of traditional Feeneyism.
So he asks where is Jesus in all this and does not ask where is the necessity of membership in the Catholic Church, in all this.
His ecclesiology is not exclusivist but vague and indirectly supporting the new ecumenism, based on known salvation outside the Catholic Church.
He assumes there is known salvation outside the Church and so does not comment on CCC 1257 and 846 which the liberals interpret irrationality.
-Lionel
Catechism of the Catholic Church affirms the strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus when the irrational inference is avoided
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2016/01/catechism-of-catholic-church-affirms.html
The new theology is based on the baptism of desire being explicit, visible in personally known cases in the present times. The blogger at Toronto Star has accepted this.
The new theology is based on invincible ignorance cases ( through no fault of their own) who are objectively seen and known in particular cases in the present times. The Toronto Star has accepted this irrationality too.
So there is no exclusivist ecclesiology any more for him. There is known salvation outside the Church for him. This is his Cushingite theology.
He has accepted the false premise ( visible cases of people in Heaven saved with the baptism of desire and without the baptism of water) and false inference ( so the baptism of desire is an exception to the old ecclesiology) .This is how he interprets the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It is the same as Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis.
He writes:
The video claims the adherents to false religions are believers. No, they are not, properly understood. A believer is one who has the Faith which is, as the Catechism teaches: "... is a gift of God, a supernatural virtue infused by him".
Yes but the Toronto Star accepts that there is salvation outside the Church. He accepts that all do not need to be formal members of the Church for salvation. He accepts that all who are saved are saved through Jesus and the Church and so every one does not need to be a 'card carrying member' of the Church. So the liberals would reason that those who are saved outside the Church i.e without faith and baptism, are given ' a gift of God, a supernatural virtue infused by him'.
He quotes the Catechism:
No 153. When St. Peter confessed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, Jesus declared to him that this revelation did not come "from flesh and blood", but from "my Father who is in heaven". 24 Faith is a gift of God, a supernatural virtue infused by him. "Before this faith can be exercised, man must have the grace of God to move and assist him; he must have the interior helps of the Holy Spirit, who moves the heart and converts it to God, who opens the eyes of the mind and 'makes it easy for all to accept and believe the truth.'"
Lionel: So the blogger accepts there is salvation outside the Church. Being saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire and blood( without the baptism of water) is acceptable to him.So the gift of Faith is given outside the Church?
No 161. Believing in Jesus Christ and in the One who sent him for our salvation is necessary for obtaining that salvation. Since "without faith it is impossible to please [God]" and to attain to the fellowship of his sons, therefore without faith no one has ever attained justification, nor will anyone obtain eternal life; But he who endures to the end.
Lionel:
So since there is salvation outside the Church we have the basis for the new theology and the new ecumenism.Protestants are saved outside the Church.May be one , may be two, may be more.
This could also be the basis of a new inter religious dialogue. Muslims are saved through Jesus and the Church, outside the visible limits of the Catholic Church.
The initial fault of there being known salvation outside the Church is responsible for all this theological innovation.
There is a rational alternative but TS is not aware of it.
Correction: In a previous comment I wrongly referred to the Toronto Star instead of the Toronto Catholic Witness.
The initial fault of there being known salvation outside the Church is responsible for all this theological innovation

Catholic Mission's comments are not so much exegesis as eisegesis. If he examines what the Church teaches it is simple: we all know that the normal means is through Baptism. But he also knows that there is baptism of blood and desire (this latter is mysterious and I for one, will not be playing God).
Catholic Mission, you may wish to review this on Baptism of desire and Blood. you will notice that you are wrong.

My dear father would not approve of the supposition behind this headline. the idea that we need to look at what some Pope from the late nineteenth century said about ecclesiology or soteriology is an idea that represents a hardening of awareness vis a vis the developments in theology that have occurred since the New Pentecost. Did you get that?

Barona:
The American Encyclopedia has repeated the objective error of the Letter of the Holy Office (1949) : no explicit cases of the baptism of desire

Anonymous.
The ecclesiology and soteriology development comes from the objective error in the Letter of the Holy Office 1949. If we avoid it in the interpretation of Vatican Council II, the Council has the old ecclesiology on other religions and salvation. The Council does not contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, on ecumenism.
In this way we undo the damage done by Fr.Karl Rahner and others who did not make the explicit-implicit, visible-invisible distinction.

There is no comment from the SSPX Canada to this blog post which I sent them after the statement was issued by the District Superior, Canada.
Fr. Daniel Couture, the District Superior of Canada issues a controversial statement critical of the Vatican Document on the Jews
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2015/12/fr-daniel-couture-district-superior-of.html
Neither has the SSPX Italy over the last few years issued a denial.
If the SSPX bishops and Fr.Pierpaulo Petrucci would admit that the baptism of desire refers to invisible cases in 2016, the entire interpretation of Vatican Council changes : error in the article

Nor is there any denial from the SSPX , USA
